I've been using this gym for years and have also been to Anytime Fitness gyms around Australia and the world and without fail this gym is always my favourite!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for nearly 3 years now and have NO plans of stopping. Aimee, Kristy, Chloe and the team are so friendly and make going to the gym a fun experience. They always make you feel warm and welcome. The other members within this gym are all extremely friendly as well, I have never had a negative experience with another member. The equipment is everything I need as well and is always clean and in good condition. If you're looking for a good gym with great people, this is the gym for you.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start with this gym? It’s the first one I signed up for and it’s been a great experience. Although smaller compared to others, this gym is truly the Lionel Messi of AFs. I’ve been away from the area recently and I’ve gone to other AFs - none of them come close to how good this gym is. The cleanliness, the equipment, the friendly staff, the culture and crowd are just levels above. I feel like I’ve taken it for granted how good it is here. I can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic experience: By far my favourite gym going around. There are plenty of other gyms I could go to between Ferntree Gully and my place in the hills, but it's well worth driving the extra distance. The gym is spacious, bright, well-maintained, and has a really communal feel. The staff are very friendly and there's always plenty of parking right out the front. The place also isn't filled with hoards of rowdy teenage schoolkids between 3 and 7pm on weekdays, which I'm grateful for. So glad I found this hidden gem!

Fantastic experience: Aimee and the team at AF Ferntree Gully are amazing. Good old fashioned customer service and always there to help and support. The place is run like a Swiss watch, always clean, and all equipment is maintained to the highest standard. Best gym in the area by far with stacks of parking close to the gym. It’s my home club and after being a member now for 4 months… Ill be there for stacks and stacks more. Love it.

Negative experience: Signed an 18 month contract with AnyTime Fitness FTG in 2020. They were “nice enough” to freeze it for 10ish months as I dealt with some personal issues. I tried to pay an early cancellation fee one time but some bloke I hadn’t met said it’d gone up $150 since the lady I signed with originally verbally stipulated the price and explained it to me. So I “let the contract run out” because my “rate was good” as it was so lovingly put.. For an extra two years. It is my fault for missing the soulless eyes in the heads of hubris manifest. Turns out the devil’s in the details with a ‘month’s notice of termination’ clause like I’m the one being paid! and essentially the 18 month part of the contract means next to nothing. My favourite line of the whole conversation was “unfortunately, we’re not obligated to notify you that your contract has expired”.. Says the company with an automated text and email messaging system. Legally? Probably not. Ethically and morally? I’d lean towards yes, but that’s just me. It isn’t overly the staffs’ fault but I can almost guarantee this isn’t the first time they’ve had a conversation of this nature. The main give away was the “fine print” comment. You know it’s there, you know a lot of people don’t. You don’t care about that fact or the people it may affect. 2 stars because the equipment isn’t terrible.

Negative experience: Beware of them trying to suspend your account instead of letting you cancel. It's a sales tactic done best by Kristy to buy more time so the freeze can lapse & they can start direct debits again. This is not how you treat long term customers!

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone. Absolute ripoff from these guys. I lost my job and was struggling financially, I told these guys I want to end my membership, they said you need to give us a 30 days notice. Then they said we can freeze it for you, and as I had no money whatsoever, I chose the freezing option. 3 days later today they charged me again and the email they sent me with confirmation of freeze, showed that they put it on a date right next to the date they were gonna charge me again for. What is the purpose of paying in advance when they are still gonna rip you off of your money again. Absolutely disappointed. Anyone wanting to join, please read their terms and conditions thoroughly, because they are not gonna tell you their sneaky ways to rip you off. Thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Ferntree Gully is a super welcoming environment. Everyday you walk in you’re greeted with a friendly smile and positive energy. Love it, and to the staff keep up the good work Super clean environment and the members at this facility are all considerate and kind also which makes the experience enjoyable. In terms of the equipment it has everything you need so I highly recommend this gym for anyone keen to work on themselves.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff (every time I walk in, I see a smile), and they will help you if you need any assistance. Place is always clean. Equipment wise, you pretty much have everything to get jacked. Have all the hammer strength machines, dumbbells, got a nice cardio section. Overall a great spot.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the vibe of Anytime Fitness at Ferntree Gully. Everybody knows each other and it feels like a family unit. The trainers here have a wealth of information about fitness, nutrition and how to train your mindset to establish discipline. Aimee is very friendly, helpful and a great listener. The ambiance and music is great. The machines are incredibly smooth. All COVID-19 precautions are particularly followed. I highly recommend that if you're in or around Ferntree Gully, you should opt this gym for your workouts.

Fantastic experience: Signing up to a gym can be one hell of daunting and sometimes confronting experience - but from the minute I walked through the doors at Anytime FTG instantly I felt comfortable, at ease and felt a true sense of belonging. There was never any pressure, the staff were open, honest and most of all FRIENDLY! I had been to several other gyms in the past, that never really gave me the satisfaction I was looking for or craved. I took a gamble and walked into FTG off the bat a few years ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever really did make. The staff are absolutely amazing! they are supportive, selfless and caring - they are there for their members anytime of the day with advice, tips, day to day conversation and all around a good laugh! There is never a dull moment in the entrance to the club! You are always greeted with a big wave, smile and a massive hello! The members are just as amazing as the staff - it truly feels like we are a big happy family. I have met some incredible people and made some amazing friends! I think the biggest thing that pushes and entices me to come back and rejoin year after year is the amazing things that the club offers. There is always up to date machines, great weights and cardio areas that are always clean and inviting. However, the biggest thing that the club offers is group classes! That would be probably my biggest highlight! They are extremely fun, rewarding and no week is ever the same! No matter what your goals are,what fitness level you are at or your personal circumstances, the trainers always adapt exercises to make sure you are never felt being left behind or excluded. Nobody is ever made to feel left out, and the trainers are always there to encourage and guide you to reach your potential! If you are looking for a gym that you can achieve your goals in, meet new people but want to have a bit of a laugh in, then Anytime FTG is the place for you. I can promise you one thing, you will not be left one bit disappointed!

Negative experience: Too expensive and small floornspace. $80 a month is ridiculous

Fantastic experience: An excellent club with huge space and modern machinery. The trainers and staff are so wonderful and encouraging. It is a treat to be here everyday.

Fantastic experience: Very tidy. Went in for a free trial. Liam helped me out. Friendly guy, made everything really simple. Gym was very tidy with decent weights. It's a small gym but does well with the room available. I won't be signing up simply because I would want more power/squat racks. But I'm not going to fault the gym because it didn't cater to my EXACT needs. Give anytime a try

Fantastic experience: Great place to train, with a good mix of male and female members. The staff are knowledgeable and approachable. The manager has a great sense of humour and is always ready to help with training and nutrition tips.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym, spacious with plenty of well maintained and diverse equipment. Three squat racks and a deadlift platform means you rarely have to wait for those all important compound lifts! Really friendly atmosphere with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Can't recommend enough whether you are just starting out or an experienced trainer. Lift and be merry!

Fantastic experience: I just returned from Sydney to Melbourne and checked a few local gyms around - this one was by far the best of those I tried. Good vibe, clean, welcoming, equipment well maintained and people actually respecting the gear (towels, wiping things down, and not smashing the weights for attention). I sent the manager a note on facebook to give him feedback - who came straight back to me and asked if their was anything else I needed. I said yeah C4 in the vending machine as a wishlist - and when I went back he'd done it! I didn't have cash when I went to pay for the drinks so the other girl there (didn't catch her name) was excellent and only too happy to help and put them through on EFT. Great experience.

Fantastic experience: A great gym. Maintained much better than most AF's and has really friendly staff.

Negative experience: If you choose to go to this gym, please check your back statements carefully. I had my account suspended during COVID and was promised to be notified when my membership was reactivated. I recently noticed that I had been charged 3 more months of membership without any communication to let me know that my membership had been reinstated.

Fantastic experience: Trying a new AF location there's always a level of quality about the equipment and the facilities, but the Ferntree Gully store also had delightful staff that greeted me on entrance with a friendly smile!

Fantastic experience: Recently transferred to AF Ferntree Gully, and can’t be more pleased with their cleanliness and facilities! I want to acknowledge the team for their effort in making the environment COVIDSafe - when I attended they had staff wipe down equipment and surfaces regularly, and plenty of team members problem solving issues that came up with the new booking system and answering questions. This all helps create a safe environment as we get back into working out after getting out of lockdown. Highly recommended if you’re checking out gyms or looking for a move!

Negative experience: The equipment is starting to get old and the new manager ask to pay another 7 dollars a week to stay at this gym even though I was there from the start

Negative experience: Male manager will spy on you with the camera’s when he gets in. Air conditioning is horrible and has not been cleaned. The place will leave you feeling sick

Fantastic experience: After sussing out local gyms in the area for a month, i tried out a 7 day pass at AF. And have since joined. Don't normally leave reviews but, wow Absolutley impressed by the level of professionalism from the Club Manager, Kristy as well as how friendly the PT's are here (and don't just greet their existing clientele). Amazing facilites, everything you could need equipment wise. Clean and welcoming environment. Extra perks: -24/7 - Complimentary coffee, hair dryer to use, hair ties if you forget - Fruit - Awesome functional area - Classes included.. & at good times! Thanks again AF Ferntree Gully. Fantastic experience: The equipment at Anytime Fitness Ferntree Gully is excellent and well maintained. Plus the gym is kept clean. The members there are friendly and the staff actually care about the members unlike other gyms I have been to in the past. I battle with severe depression and anxiety and have never felt uncomfortable at this gym. The best gym I have been to by a country mile! I can't speak more highly of the staff at Anytime Fitness Ferntree Gully, a great bunch of people.

Fantastic experience: More than one squat rack and bench!!! I'm a member at Somerville Anytime Fitness, with only one combined squat and bench rack it's annoying waiting to use things. Knox is the best franchise I've been to. (Frankston, Sth Melbourne, Southland and Point Cook) Plenty of each and every equipment. Wish I lived closer. Also they sell big brand supplements at good prices.

Fantastic experience: This is now my main gym. Got rid of my fitness first membership for this. The staff are incredibly friendly and has all of the equipment I need. Love the fact that it is 24 hour!
