Club Lime Mandurah

Negative experience: When club changed ownership from Golds Gym to Club Lime it changed contractual conditions to the detriment of existing members. Putting membership on hold now costs money, sauna opening times have been reduced, airco thermostat much higher than before resulting in unpleasant conditions. Less clubs available to us. This forced me to cancel my membership and I suspect many others will follow as there is plenty of alternate value propositions out there.

Fantastic experience: Great gym

Negative experience: I just want to let everybody know that I am on the spectrum and have mild autism. I am also with NDIS. NDIS has also been notified about my ban. They are not happy. They also would be supporting me in court. You have discriminated against me for no reason and you are a bunch of liars. The young man at the desk you know who you are and what you have done to me. So I am taking this gym to court for how they treated me. The person at the front desk you know who you are. I spoke to you on the Phone about my ban. A few people have canceled their membership already because of how the staff treated me recently this year. So If could write this review with zero stars then I would. I was a member at this gym years ago when it was non-stop fitness. Then I got banned from this gym for for something my friend did. So I went to other gyms in Mandurah. Then I came back to this gym sometime last year. Because I wanted a gym with more space. But the staff were all different than when I got band years ago. So I signed back up to the gym which was then Golds. and they had a new area in the gym and had put all of the treadmills and stuff up stairs which was nice to see. But back in July sometime they banned me again. This time it is permanent. They banned me for going up and talking with people and forgiving unsolicited training advice. I have been training for 13 years and I know more than a personal trainer does about fitness. I also know more about diet than a personal trainer does. They banned me for going up and talking with people like everybody does in a gym. I see lots of people talking with people sometimes for more than an hour while I'm training. Somebody will walk into the gym and walk up to someone they know very well. Then they will start talking with them for an hour or so when they have not even started training but the other person has already finished. I got an email one day saying I got banned back in July this year. So I phoned them back as they tried to ring me earlier that day but I was busy. They told me on the phone that a few people had come during the staffed hours and told them that I was going up and talking with them when they did not want me to talk to them. But they made that lie up just to get rid of me. Because I know for a fact that nobody came in during staffed hours to tell them I was going up and talking with them. These people train that night like me after six or seven pm. Every person I went up to talk to I either knew them for more than five or seven years. Some of them trained at the same gyms I did over the last 13 years in Mandurah. Or some people I went up to speak to I had just met them when I joined back up end of last year. Or some people would come up to me and ask me how to use a machine or something. Or I would see somebody who looked like a new gym person who wasn't sure how to do an exercise or wasn't doing it in the correct way. So I went up to them kindly and peacefully and just ask them if I could show them a better technique to do for that exercise. And I stated to them that I had been training for 13 years and I just don't want you to get an injury. They were fine with me talking with them for five to ten minutes. Then I told them if you ever are unsure of how to do an exercise let me know if I am here at that time and I will gladly show you how to do it properly. So the staff at this gym lied about people coming up to them during staffed hours to report me. They banned me and no one else. I mean come on it's a gym everybody talks to someone at least at some point during their workout. I urge everybody to quit this gym immediately and cancel your memberships. Since this gym has changed ownerships from golds to club lime. I know this gym has had more than 500 members quit and they are all joining up the new Revo fitness. The new management is a load of crap. Look at the reviews from this gym in aubin grove. All of the reviews are one star they are a scam they say in the reviews. So do not join this gym if you have mild autism as you're likely going to get banned.

Fantastic experience: Big and quiet, lots of equipment with multiple or alternatives of the popular ones.

Negative experience: I saw so many people smashing equipment gym without the owner saying anything. However, when I did dead lift, the owner (the chubby blonde lady) complained and yelled at me.

Negative experience: Gym’s a vibe with great equipment and loads of space. Lots of options with group fitness and CrossFit. Bought merch, supplements etc too. Trialled everything, however, CrossFit trial was a huge let down. During 1st trial class, was not even asked my name by coach or if I’ve tried CrossFit before, or for any injuries. Also, injured my calf badly in a class during the week and unable to load any weight on it or proceed with workout but instructor said she had no access to ice and watched me hobbling to put away all my gear :( For 3 days there have been no protein shakes as the ‘sink is broken’ at reception :(

Positive experience: Good gym, friendly staff. Only thing that lets it down is the constant blaring of sh!te music, all day, every day. No one wants to hear, Who let the dogs out remix at 0600!

Positive experience: Called into Gold's Gym in Mandurah for a quick balance training with my son.. One day at a time, one step at a time, keep pushing to stand up straight, walk straight without fallen over or spinning out from dizzy spells.. Good facilities..

Negative experience: They are full of it. Don't believe anything they tell you. I have been unemployed for a while and am struggling with major depression and anxiety. As exercise has occasionally helped me I was looking for an affordable gym. When I spoke with a person and said that I was worried about taking a commitment as I don't know when I can get a job. She told me that there is a 50aud cancellation fee but on special occasions it can be waved for compassionate grounds. After my financial situation didn't improve and my depression got so bad I could not get out of bed I tried to cancel. Apparently what they say before and after the contract is two very different things. The maximum they said they can do is have my last payment going towards that fee. I said that I can't come in in person and asked them to stop further payments after that one in question. The manager agreed to that. Despite that in a two weeks I get notification that they are trying to extract yet another payment. When I went in to talk with them they said that now that the new payment is "the last" payment not the one we had been talking about. I paid them 50aud dollars in cash so I would not have to deal with this horrible place ever again. In hindsight probably should have asked for a receipt.

Fantastic experience: Best gym ever and the atmosphere is awesome

Negative experience: You arent allowed to use the powerlifting/strongman equipment. Their direct debit system is a joke which takes them ages to rectify. They continue charging you when you cancelled your contract and accuse you of lying when they can clearly see you no longer used the gym and there is email proof of you canceling you membership. They are arrogant and only want your money. Should be called gold diggers not golds gym

Negative experience: Disappointing experience. Was not provided with some of the services promised when joining up. When I joined I was told and marketing material stated a minimum $80 commitment then when trying to cancel my membership was charged an additional $50. Would not recommend this gym plenty better out there

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for over 2 years now and can honestly say it’s the best gym I’ve ever been too! 10/10 in all areas! And they’re still expanding! After recently thinking about about checking out worlds gym mandurah and having an abundance of issues including bad service, incompetent staff and being unable to issue a simple refund when the staff at worlds are to blame for the mistake! It just makes me even more sure that golds mandurah is the gym I want to be at! With competent, friendly staff who are always happy to help! Not to mention an amazing crèche with wonderful women who really take the time to get to know your child and go above and beyond to help and care for your child.

Fantastic experience: Unlike World Gym Mandurah, Gold's Mandurah staff are great and have no issues fixing problems that arise. And with the new expansions coming Golds will still be the largest and best gym in Mandurah.

Fantastic experience: Hands down Mandurahs best established gym. A massive variety of quality equipment as well as a vast area for cross fit and other training. Never over crowded and the staff are always friendly and happy to help.

Negative experience: I called today to discuss suspending my membership further through the covid 19 pandemic and to pay whatever fees are due in order to do so. I spoke to an employee, Shannon, and was told that they could "do me a solid" by allowing me to suspend with 14 days notice, rather than 30. I was confused and asked for clarification and was told "it is what it is". After those types of responses I asked to speak to a manager or someone who could handle accounts because I did not feel that those were appropriate or professional responses. It did not seem as though Shannon had a good understanding of how to handle payable accounts. I was told by Shannon that she is the manager. So, I decided to probe further and asked if there was someone else I could speak to for additional clarification and to make payment arrangements. At this point, Shannon informs me that a Manager would have to call me back. I asked, "Aren't you the manager?" It was at this point that she admitted that she was simply the personell on duty and did not have any managerial authority. She told me someone would call me back... it's been an hour and I am beginning to doubt she will pass this message on at all. I will be sure to update as more information become available. However, at this time it seems unlikely that I will be contacted at all. Edit: Its been about 3 hours and I have yet to be contacted back by the management. Awesome customer service!

Negative experience: So paid for a casual visit, checked out the facility now when it came time to sign they refused to waive the $50 joining fee...poor very poor. I've spent 25+ year's involved with gym's and I was actually blown away they let me walk out over $50 of side cash rather than signing another member....???

Negative experience: I only went for a couple of visits, paid the fees every week. But when I wanted to cancel my membership it was the biggest stuff around, different stories from different workers. Rude, abrupt and no manners. Honestly it doesn’t take two seconds when answering the phone to say “thanks for calling golds gym Mandurah this is..” instead of “golds Mandurah”. The tone of communication in emails is absolutely disgusting and I’m glad I’ve kept mine. I would rather fart into a fan with diarrhoea than contact them again.

Negative experience: Lots of useless machines that no one uses. Over crowded and believe it or not there was only 2 seated incline benches.

Positive experience: Got Sunglasses stolen from shared area. Shows the IQ of the clientele since they were lens glasses and useless to anyone else. Guess they saw the Brand "Ray-Ban" and wanted them. Told the staff, interrupting their lunch, got nothing out of them. Not even sympathy which lets face it is all I was looking for.

Fantastic experience: Great gym!

Positive experience: If ya walk out saying you weren't satisfied, slap yaself in the face. This gym has it all from ppl to look after your little ones while you work out to a fresh shake after ya work out, loads of machines and classes to join, very spacious has lockers as well. Looking to join a gym try this one you'd be impressed

Fantastic experience: We just use the CrossFit, but it's great to have access to the golds with your CrossFit membership if you want to go to other classes or use the equipment!

Negative experience: Try to scam you by making it hard to cancel your membership even though i had to leave the country on a short term notice, they rack up debt and call in their debt collectors to sort it out instead of reasoning with the customer.

Fantastic experience: Great clean gym with a fantastic atmosphere.

Negative experience: They do their business with DebitSuccess over East. They mess with the payment days, and charge $10 on every failed transaction, which adds up if you have weekly payments. Very aggressive. The management of NSF simply refers to them to sort it out, instead of standing up for their customers. Also the airconditioning is turned off after management leaves.

Positive experience: Good equipment
