Fantastic experience: Amazing business! Run like a loving family. So flexible, caring and supportive.They offer a great variety of martial arts disciplines to cater for all ages and abilities. It’s a one-stop centre for fitness and self defence skills. All the coaches and senseis are highly skilled and are amazing leaders and role models. My family (me and my husband included) have been attending IMC for over 4 years now and still loving it! I highly recommend this centre! Big shout out to coach Kieran for an amazing job running the desk and his own classes!

The transformation has been truly remarkable, as IMC has not only honed his skills but also brought out the very best in him. He has shown marked improvement in his performance, both in skill and spirit, and has truly embraced the sense of camaraderie and support within the IMC family environment.

Negative experience: There website has a countdown saying offer expires in... that resets if you reset cookies. Bit scummy to me.

Fantastic experience: Ive been training at IMC for nearly 2 years, it has been the best 2 years of my life. The coaches are very supportive, caring and always push you to do better. These coaches have helped me improve so much, learn more techniques and skills, get more fitter and do things I never thought I could do. Not once has anything disappointed me, I really enjoy training at IMC if I could do it every day I would. They helped me achieve so many goals without even knowing. All the coaches work very hard for all the students taking time off there day to coach us. IMC has really changed my life for the better. Without all these amazing coaches I wouldn’t have gotten to where I’m at today.

Fantastic experience: The IMC Liverpool is a family community that goes above and beyond for the kids to make them all feel welcome and included no matter what level they are at. We have been attending for over 2 years now. The professionalism of Kirien on the front desk is next to none, always willing to help and accommodating to everyone’s needs and coach Paulie he is great always smiling and welcoming and great at training. Sensei Dylan is firm but excellent with the kids Overall I highly recommend this particular IMC school.

Negative experience: This review is not for the teachers. The teachers are lovely and my kids enjoyed their classes however due to financial reasons I had to cancel their classes in June, I emailed them about that and 6 months later and over $700 later I am told I had to sign a piece of paper which was never sent to me! and when I contacted them I was ignored until I personally went in there, was told I can't get full or partial refund! So was robbed of over $700 by the owner which is not human or ethical for a service that I didn't use Karma will get you!

Negative experience: Had Coach Paul try to fight me and my partner after he failed to be present and giving PROPER advice during competitive kickboxing fights. He’d much rather go around taking photos with while the other kids have their trainers by their side. When my partner and I called him out on it and telling him “he should be there giving out advice to his fighter”, he resorted straight to violence telling me “LETS TAKE IT OUTSIDE” and “ARE YOU CHALLENGING ME?” Multiple times, swearing up and down, Causing a scene with kids around. There was a lot more he said but you get the point. He is a hurt, unstable and sensitive old man who’ll hurt other people to keep away from constructive criticism. Someone you probably won’t want to send your kid to for any training. His sense of Favouritism between kids shows clearly. If you read this, save yourself the money and find somewhere else. This man is a complete shame to the martial arts community, and I would know as someone who has been in it since I was a kid. The other trainers may not be the same but just because of this one person, stay away from this place and find another. He’s that horrible. Using an anonymous account as I want this man to continue on knowing nothing about me.

Fantastic experience: Got to give it to Coach Karly... It's not easy trying to entertain toddlers and get them to follow through with instructions. Especially when you have a child like mine who thinks they're in an indoor play centre with the fun activities. Despite this, my child still loves attending and I have noticed general improvements in their behaviour. Highly recommend. (Side note: All staff are really friendly and greet you with smiles).

I would highly recommend IMC Liverpool if you are looking to get involved in martial arts, celebrate your child's birthday or want your child to be involved in an activity where they learn solid values and can develop a mentor-like relationship with fantastic role models in a supportive and family oriented community. My experience.... Kids My son has been attending karate here for about 6months. It's been nothing but joy watching him develop in an environment where he is taught by adults who genuinely care about kids, act as fantastic role models and make every single class and interaction age appropriate and fun! The kids classes have a 'mat chat' - added bonus! Every week the mat chat topic changes. Brief key take aways are spoken about as a group on topics such as road safety or interactions with strangers. A real positive when it comes from a trusted role model that isn't the parent or school teacher. Parties We have recently celebrated my son's party here too. Great value for money and second to none fun for the kids. All of the kids who attended had a great time and there were really special experiences incorporated for the birthday boy that will be incredible memories in the years to come. Adults I'm 3 weeks in to taking up kick boxing myself. The class is my me- time... with the added bonus of getting fit, learning some new skills, and having a great time while doing it. The environment is really supportive too with everyone ready to help each other learn. Im looking forward to many more years of fun here!

Positive experience: Really happy with the program and the coaches are great. They are really great at engaging the kids and making martial arts appealing. As well as the martial arts there is good physical exercise. The teaching about respect and discipline is also great.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been coming to IMC for almost a year now, and both she and I couldn’t be happier! The karate teachers are engaging, super fun and extremely kind to all the kids. They make sure the kids get something out of the each class, whether it’s a new move or a good little life lesson during mat chat. My daughter has been more disciplined since she started and she can’t wait until this lockdown is over to get back into it. Admin side of things, they are extremely accommodating if we need to swap a class or make a class up and the fees are quite affordable. Would definitely recommend IMC and when my littlest gets older, she’ll definitely be joining also!

Fantastic experience: Every instructor at IMC Liverpool are super kind and they keep the dojo healthy and clean. My twin nieces love all sensei’s and their favourite thing to do is go to karate and learn all different kicks, blocks and punches. The best martial art school around the whole country.

Fantastic experience: My son is almost 5 and has been attending the centre since he was 2 years of age. He started in the martial minis program and has now progressed to a red belt in the little ninjas program. He has also recently started participating in the junior jiu jitsu program and is loving martial arts more than ever. I have never had any issues with the staff or program at IMC Liverpool. Robbie and his team are excellent with kids and have always been extremely professional towards us as parents. I highly recommend IMC Liverpool if you are looking to enrol your child into a fun and rewarding activity.

Negative experience: My two year old son and I came for a trial of martial minis class a few weeks ago and we won’t be returning. During the session, there was very little attempt to include my son or even interact with him to make him feel comfortable. He definitely was not following instructions as this was all new to him but just a little effort on the teacher’s part to come up to my boy and engage with him would have made him feel comfortable, welcomed and he would have been more willing to participate. The teacher didn’t even ask what his name was or attempt to interact with him. She definitely was busy teaching the class (I’ll give her that) but as a complete newbie on a trial wanting to join, we were left behind and completely excluded. There were other kids pushing in front of us and the attempt to encourage him onto the mat was very weak. Very disheartening and upsetting to be ignored like that. My boy didn’t deserve it. Ps. There was a male teacher in the background who made every attempt to interact with my boy and I very much appreciate it. However, there is no denying that he was left behind. Edit (in response to reply): I appreciate your written response one year after my review. I appreciate you retraining staff and adding new places but I DO NOT appreciate the assumption that I was not on the mat assisting my boy. I was right there doing the job of both parent and instructor. Please do not shift the blame on me.

Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough about the instructors and how good they are with the kids. My sons confidence and general behaviour have greatly improved since starting about 6 months ago. They definitely teach the kids self defence but more importantly the kids learn to listen and have discipline but while having fun.

Negative experience: what a waste of time and money scabers, took my son to lurn Martial Arts not to play school to be taught Head shoulders knees & toes

Fantastic experience: We are absolutely loving the Little Ninja's class and have the utmost respect for the amazing instructors. My son had asked us a number of times to start doing karate but we held off as we really wanted him to understand it and respect it. I can say hands down putting our son into Karate has been the best decision. From a shy, introverted kid he now goes into the classes with so much confidence but best of all he loves it and we can already see the passion he has for karate. Thank you to you and your team for providing a safe and disciplined environment.

My son had seized going but was still paying (which is his fault) but then he cancelled and it’s now been 7 weeks and they are still debiting his account!!!
