Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Fernwood Sydenham for about 6 years, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The gym has a great atmosphere,clean, modern, and motivating.The environment is welcoming and supportive. The variety of equipment is top-notch, and I never have trouble finding what I need for my workout. They also offer a great selection of classes that cater to different fitness levels, which keeps things interesting and challenging. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to help with any questions or adjustments to my routine. I’ve noticed a real improvement in my fitness, and I feel more confident every time I walk through the door. Overall, Fernwood has been a great investment in my health, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality gym experience.

Fantastic experience: I joined about a month ago now and im so glad I did! I was nervous about joining a gym for the first time but the staff here are fantastic. They've created an encouraging and supportive culture where everyone helps each other and is made to feel welcome no matter what your starting point is. If you're thinking about doing something for your health and fitness, join fernwood, you will not regret it :)

Fantastic experience: Fernwood Sydenham is a great club, best gym I’ve ever been a member of. The trainers and members are like family to me. Group fitness classes are awesome, the gym equipment is state of the art and the specialty classes are run by experts in their field. All the staff that work there are professional. JOIN UP LADIES

A special shout out to Tina & Sonia who have been so great to me and have supported me from the start. I do my personal training with Louise - She is one of the most amazing woman I have met! She is beautiful in every way! So kind, caring, encouraging, understanding and is such a great supporter to have by your side through your weight loss journey and goals & is just as determined as I am to reach my goal weight. Fantastic experience: I have been training at Fernwood for 5 years. It really is like a gym family. I train doing my own workouts, but yet know most of the trainers and gym staff by name and even have a rapport with them. I have managed to make so many friends over the time. One I call my bestfriend, even with 15 years difference in age. The trainers work hard motivating within group fitness, PTs and Fiit30. The gym itself has a new layout and they have put money into updating the place. There is also a childcare service. The ladies in there a friendly and patient especially with my little bubs. They have showers and things to assist like hair straighteners and deodorant. If you're looking for a gym home, look no further!

My Pt, Louise is out of this world not only as a trainer but an amazing person that is so dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable. She had made such a huge impact on my fitness journey. Also, I just started doing FIT30 and that’s such a great start to the day with amazing trainers that motivate you, are very present and inspiring. Fantastic experience: Myself and my mum started at Fernwood Sydenham just a little over a month ago and our experience at the facility has been nothing but positive vibes. Marie is our personal trainer and she is absolutely incredible! We love coming in to see Marie and participate in her classes. She is professional, patient and has a heart of gold. I highly recommend going to see Marie for any fitness journey you’re undertaking. Training is no longer a chore to me, it’s become a lifestyle. She works hard to help you loose weight whilst also looking at other very important factors throughout the journey. Thank you so much Marie, we love you and we can’t wait to continue seeing you whilst we push us harder and harder everytime ❤️‍♀️

Positive experience: I joined Fernwood Sydenham a year ago. I went from a private PT to group sessions at the gym and really enjoy it. I have my favourite instructors, but really, I like them all. There's a safe, non-competitive, and encouraging vibe at FF. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking to stay fit or transform their body.

They offered a comprehensive introduction to their facilities and made me feel welcome the whole way through. The facilities are fantastic, the staff are lovely and there’s such a diverse array of classes. Something for everyone!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am to be part of the Fernwood Sydenham community, yes it is way more than just a gym. The trainers are amazing and passionate. The front staff (Mikhaela especially) has the best smile ever and is always available for a chat and is super helpful. I have done Reformer Pilates and Personal Training sessions which has helped me tremendously on my journey to a healthy lifestyle. Being a ladies only gym, we all look after each other and I feel comfortable there. The sauna, massage chair and especially the coffee machine are a super plus for this wonderful place.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Fernwood gym Sydenham enough.. the atmosphere is beyond amazing the constant friendly faces and encouragement you get from trainers and women in the gym is so refreshing. Training with Silvija has been my motivation to keep me coming back. Her vibe and energy is unmatched. I love the push she gives me and always encouraging me to push my limits in every class. She has helped me reach and surpass levels of fitness I didn’t think I ever could and receiving such motivation from her has kept me motivated in coming to the gym most days if not every day.

Fantastic experience: I attend the fit30 classes almost every day of the week, which has helped me through my fitness journey of becoming healthy and losing weight… and I have seen a remarkable change. One trainer who has pushed me beyond my limit is Silvija llic. I look forward to her classes as she’s a joy to train with and most importantly highly knowledgeable, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else! Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend fernwood enough! It’s an amazing inclusive space for women of all shapes and sizes and that’s what I love most about coming. I never feel the gym anxiety or feeling like I don’t belong there. It’s improved my mental health, physical health and my confidence in doing physical activity!

Fantastic experience: I love coming here to work out. I don’t feel judged or unsafe. The instructors are hard-working but understanding to everybody’s needs and capabilities. The sauna and bathroom facilities are extremely helpful to my specific situation. This a great gym to go to. Only downfall would be not enough parking spaces but that’s because of the location. If they could remove the wired gate in between building complexes, that would much more convenient for everybody’s sake. Keen to work on my summer body ☀️

Negative experience: The customer service at this club is abysmal. Whenever I needed something changed or adjusted they made things difficult or didn’t give me the full information. They refused to give me a refund when I paid for a 20 pack of childcare sessions for over the holiday period. (Dec-Jan) They did not make me aware that for a large portion of that time the childcare would shut down so I wasn’t able to use it during that time. I then had some personal circumstances come up where I wasn’t able to use the gym for the year following so the sessions expired and they just took the money. I have now cancelled my membership, which they made difficult and without correct information to help me proceed with it. Those are just a couple of the many issues I had. Would never recommend this place. Save your money.

Fantastic experience: My personal training session with Yasmine was outstanding. Her explanations about muscle targeting, ability to adapt exercises to my needs, and caring corrections for my form to prevent injury made it a truly enjoyable experience!

Negative experience: I have never been confronted with the level of rudeness as I have when dealing with this facility, My wife was a member of this gym and quickly went upstairs with our toddler to put a towel on a bike before she took him to the day care next door. One of the staff literally screamed at her from across the gym, causing a scene about him being there. I can appreciate that a place has rules, but they should maintain a level of respect and human decency when dealing with members and addressing issues, and not cause a scene in front of a child. When I called to let management know about this the manager showed no empathy or understanding regarding my issue, and actually turned on me excusing the staff members behaviour, and doubling down on her position telling me to tell my wife to "refrain from doing it again"

Fantastic experience: Have always had 'pushy' experiences with gyms and the 'we care about your progress ' but it fades after you join but I've been a member at Fernwood fitness for a while now and I've never experienced a more supportive group of trainers who genuinely want to see you succeed. I've never felt more comfortable than I do here and the community of ladies is absolutely amazing. Couldn't recommend more!

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough about this place. Pilates is my thing 3 days a week and have now been a member for over a year. When Staff greet you by your name, you know this is your other family. I have recently taken up sauna for its health benefits and enjoying it thoroughly. Only abit concerned about the cleanliness of the Sauna. Just this evening watched a member give herself a body scrub (yes in the actual Sauna) with her own home remedy. Now I know each to their own but she continuously was rubbing all over herself (which was so irritating) and then left the Sauna with pieces lemon and sugar all over the seat opposite meseriously!!!

Fantastic experience: Fernwood Sydenham is an awesome community to be a part of. With a huge selection of classes, a sauna, massage chairs, reformer beds and I appreciate the friendly, professional, knowledgeable and supportive staff. They really make it a great place to workout. I love that they offer a teen membership for 12-17 year olds so that my daughter has a safe and welcoming place to train.

Fantastic experience: Fernwood Sydenham is absolutely the BEST gym I have ever been a member of. All staff members are super friendly and genuinely care about women's fitness and health wellbeing. My trainer Sandy is so knowledgeable and encouraging, she cares about the form of every exercise making sure I can get the best out of each workout. I highly recommend getting PT sessions if you are working on your strength. It's only been a few months and I already feel much stronger than when I started!!!! Thanks Sandy!

No need to go elsewhere and spend a fortune on classes outside of Fernwood gym. The gym also offers you the option to have a 24/7hr fob key - which is so convenient for everyone (you can go to the gym whenever you feel like - night or day). The gym also has exceptional facilities. Fernwood Sydenham has very clean showers and toilets. They also offer lockers if you need to store away any personal items. They also have a Sauna Fernwood Sydenham is the perfect place for any woman whose looking to start their fitness journey. The staff members and management are very friendly and very motivating and are always available for anything that you need. The gym also provides nutrition advice to any member that is interested. Fernwood Sydenham also has many challenges and activities that they host that can be both fun a motivating. I take advantage of their amazing facilities which include breakfast, infrared sauna and even a massage chair during staffed hours every week

Negative experience: Facilities looked awesome. Amazing kitchen/pantry access to make yourself breakfast and tea/coffee. Unfortunately I was not provided with adequate information in order to take part in my offer of a free class. Therefore a wasted hour and a half of my time on a precious day off, in travelling to and from the gym, being taken through an induction and filling in paperwork.

Fantastic experience: Being a larger lady, I have always been intimidated by gyms. After being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes I realised that I had to take my health seriously. I initially started doing Reformer Pilates at Fernwood, which I absolutely loved. Everyone is treated as an individual. I decided that joining Fernwood was going to be what I needed and I have not regretted it. All the ladies are so friendly and welcoming, they listen to you and tailor a program for you and encourageyou all the way. I love going to the gym in the morning then my Pilates at night.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been member of the Fernwood Sydenham for over 4 years now (joined for Zumba but used/using other classes and facility). I love the friendliness of the staff. Women’s only club (love that). Big range of the free group classes. Lots of services (massage, nutrition coach, PT etc). Spacious and clean changing rooms. There is really everything you need for complete health, fitness and wellness. I love everything about them.
