Negative experience: Appalling! The service here, staff and owner are extremely rude and uninviting. Very unprofessional. Unhygienic no cleaning wipes, toilet seats broken, no toilet paper holders, lockers are broken. Equipment is great and that’s about the only thing that was alright.

Negative experience: Owner publicly humiliated my daughter in front of all members and cancelled her membership because she was chewing gum. No warnings, very aggressively, abusively and rudely yelled at my daughter in front of everyone and didn’t give her a chance to speak. Unacceptable approach , how can he run a business like this . If you know what’s good for you, stay away from this place (especially girls). Very unprofessional….. don’t waste your money.

Negative experience: Good gym but management is very unprofessional. After shutting down the Heidelberg gym I lost 12 months of my membership that I never got back.
Negative experience: Staff couldn’t be more unfriendly. Especially Tia (the one with the big Greek nose) - avoid.

Negative experience: Ridiculous contract and cancellation policy - will charge $250 for cancellation regardless of interstate relocation even after 9 months of attending with no consideration of circumstance. They are purely money driven and have zero idea of community. Staff are unsure of policies and owners/managers are never available to discuss questions they always just pass on information. Hip Thrust machine was always out of order and never able to be used. Can find much better gyms out there with better equipment, staff and community. Not worth the membership and barely worth the 1 star.

Negative experience: Worst gym in Melbourne!! not a single wipe to clean equipment, loud and annoying music, veryyy rude front desk staff, there’s never a parking spot available and now I’ve been wanting to cancel my membership due to a medical condition but they didn’t accept the medical certificate and still wanted to charge me $250. And now they’re still taking money every week even tho I haven’t been able to go to the gym!!

Negative experience: Borderline illegal ‘fine’ system where they charge you up to $1,000 for chewing gum, using chalk or accidentally walking into a staff area… not to mention the $250 cancellation free that can’t be avoided. Sounds like the owner has just made up the rules to milk as much money from members.
Negative experience: The owner of this gym is a money hungry grub with absolutely no compassion for people with injuries and facing financial hardship. They don't even accept medical certificates as valid documentation for cancelling a contract early.
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE. I got banned from this gym after 8 months of training here for clicking the play button on the gym music because it had stopped. There was no discussion and I didn't get a refund for the other 4 months I'd paid for. I tried take it up with management via email and they stopped replying a few weeks ago. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and management. I signed up to Derrimut Thomastown which is half the price, better facilities and has friendly management.

Negative experience: My experience with this gym has been horrible no one should be threatened with physical violence especially When it’s coming from the owner. They charged my account throughout the Covid lockdown and now have the audacity to ask for more money that I DO NOT owe and I will not be intimidated by the likes of them and I just hope that other members get out while they still can. I signed the cancellation form which the owner took right out of my hands claiming that he can’t accept it which was a LIE all so they can keep taking YOUR money. Now let me ask you do you really want to go to a gym where you’ll get text messages about gym equipment not being put away and most likely being chased by debt collectors? I know it is unfair which is why you’ll receive a better experience at other gyms even the police officer recommended a MUCH better and safer gym Recap . Owner is EXTREMELY rude . they will show NO compassion towards you . And if you cross paths with the owner it won’t be a great experience I promise you that
Negative experience: Beautiful gym, but they need to add a disclaimer to not being able to deadlift heavy. As it must drown out the terrible music and constant grunting and screaming going on.
Negative experience: Would rate it 0 stars if I could. Extremely rude and arrogant staff member/owner. One apparent "PT" was disgustingly rude regarding me forgetting my towel. He belittled me and aggressively forced me to leave the gym, that bloke has some serious anger issues. Owner is also quite aggressive, literally came up to my face and told me to leave as I had parked in the "wrong spot" despite being no parking outside what so ever. Where was I supposed to park? 1km down the road? Why open a gym with no proper parking arrangements in place? I'm sure there are many similar stories to other members during the gym transition. Much better gyms out there to give your hard earned cash to.

Negative experience: Stealing money throughout lockdown. It’s against Australian Consumer law and when I and many other asked for a refund the owner simply replied with “we do not do refunds.”
Negative experience: Good gym ruined by management. Shut down their Heidelberg location with no notice to members. Membership conditions are extremely vague and management try to use those conditions to enforce $250 fines which are illegal under consumer law. Eg. you could be fined for using your mobile in the gym. Explains why members have left in droves, the gym is near empty most nights.
Negative experience: This GYM is one of the most unprofessional places ever. They used to run from Heidelberg and forced to shut down by the council. They opened up the GYM again during covid without any communication. Had to know that they reopened only from their page on Instagram. Asked to keep my membership on hold as I am not getting full access to the GYM as per my contract but they asked me to pay suspension fees of 6$ per week (they said as per my contract). Asked them to send my contract and they ignored me so I had to block their account from my bank. Later on they took my case to a debt collector and I asked about my contract again. The debt collector sent me a copy of my contract and I found that there is no 6$ suspension fe mentioned in my contract. Its just a fee thy lied about to steal money from their customers. The contract clearly states that they offer 24/7 service which they were not providing when I asked for a suspension. Overall, the worst GYM to go to as they do not value their customers. I’ve heard a lot of customers are now even been charged while he gym is closed. I suggest all affected customers to file a one suit against them so this GYM can shut once and for all.
Negative experience: Still charging members even though they are closed and telling members they ‘cannot refund’. This is against ACCC saying they are not allowed to charge. The gym states they are suffering as they are not getting financial support from the government however not considering that their members are in the same situation and are struggling.
Fantastic experience: Incredible atmosphere with top-notch well maintained equipment. The TV's centred in the middle of the gym are a fantastic idea! Well worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: I've been to a few gyms and this has to be one of the best, professional, clean and spacious ones out of them all. It isn't your typical commercial gym with mediocre equipment but rather a huge warehouse with a strong motivating energy.

Negative experience: This gym is a prime example of why having good facilities doesn't make a great gym. The experience I have had with this gym has been horrible. When they closed down one of their gym locations I was only informed by a friend that this had happened. No text, no call, no email even though they collect all this information when you sign up. They also managed to lose all my contact details that I had provided them when they closed down that gym. Had a talk with the owner and he was asking me why they didn't have my details??? I provided him with my Drivers licence and instead he wanted to confirm my identity with my facebook account . He was more concerned that I was trying to use the gym for free than admitting that they had mad a mistake and were going to fix the problem. This is after I had shown them the outgoing transaction on my bank statement a week before. He then told me that I would not be able to use the gym because of insurance/ security issues, even though I provided them with all the information again. He also said he would call me back after two weeks, well it's been two weeks and I have had no communication from this gym. This place has gone from being a bad business to just a pure scam. I had purchased a prepaid memebership and to this day I am unable to use the services i have PAID ALREADY IN ADVANCE. This place is a scam and I have lost money by using this gym. Never going back and I would recommend staying away from this gym as it is not worth having this experience. I hope the owner gets treated the same way he has treats his customers.

Negative experience: Still charging customers even though they were closed for many months and now also relocated. Contracts should be void!! No e-mail or phone number that works on their website. What a joke! They make sure that there is no track record of any correspondence from the customer so good luck ever giving notice to terminate contracts. Went down in person and they had the audacity to be rude and abusive Avoid at all costs!
Fantastic experience: It’s a great gym. It has fantastic equipment ( all new and at high standards ) Staff are down to earth and friendly. It’s very clean and spacious. Great value for money. Has a great sitting area to rest before and after training. Great music on offer which provides overwelling energy. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work team

Negative experience: I newly moved to this area went to sign up! Walked in at first I just wanted to workout. I was miss treated at the front asked if I have money to pay or I’m going to run! I told them if you want I can pay 15 dollars casual entery then I will come sing up they were like okay no it’s okay do you thing then come back! I didn’t feel comfortable and I felt like I have been judged even though I own a company and I am a very successful person in business! I went inside I was doing my thing and a guy comes up to me and tells me that I need to leave out of no where i asked more then once for him to tell me I did not have a told I told the dude men I can buy I told now he looked at me and went like just leave! I was surprised. Went to the front door to complain about the miss treatment and the women at the front just told me then this gym is not for you!
Negative experience: Signed up last year approx ten days before the doors were shut. Emailed the website asking for a refund to put it forth towards another gym for the time being and had no response... I understand that you're trying to locate another gym however having a young family and hanging onto someone's $600 bucks is totally wrong... Really considering having consumer affairs look into this as I'm being told (could be rumours) that all memberships are no longer put on hold. As we have the option to train all the way in Ringwood....? I hope I got it all wrong as I love the gym however this is truly wrong and something has to and will be done about this....

Negative experience: A few days ago all members received a text message at approx 11pm at night (thanks for that) letting us know the gym had now been closed! How ridiculous, social media is dead quiet, nothing on Facebook, instagram, website etc. no real apology, an absolute disgrace. Oh here’s a perk, we can use the gym in Ringwood for free till they open up at a new location (which may or may not suit an existing member), because I and many others really want to drive 45 mins for a session and then repeat that to get home. To say I’m surprised nobody else has made mention of this here, can only be because they hope to use at some point if it reopens (albeit new location), the rest of the time they had remaining on their gym membership. Apparently closure is a result of unresolved parking problems. I’m sure Mr Manager will care to say this is his members fault, the people who make him money but anyone reading the VCAT document will know better well the site was never approved for gym use. Anyway, the business owners I had a tough time with from the start, they were just unreasonably unprofessional at times, and somewhat confrontational with their communication with no adaptability / common sense. I was here for the equipment, which was top notch, credit where it’s due, and massive! atmosphere was hit n miss depending on others in the gym, mostly good though 9x out of 10. Supplement shop and personal trainers were A+. Overall, like many other members I’m certain even if the doors do reopen, they will fulfil the time they have remaining on current memberships (which are all paused currently) and due to the fact you Mr Mgr broke your patrons trust, it’s doubtful and absurd that any person with common sense would hand over more money to re-sign. I won’t be that’s for sure and I feel sorry for some who had literally only week or two ago handed over there hard earned cash. Not even a simple call or text to say you’ll refund those people (I know one personally). As good as a crook. Terrible Business conduct! You should be pursued by consumer affairs, and you should be handing out pro-rata refunds for breaching every contract agreement you’ve made signing people up!
Negative experience: As you will find in other reviews. Peter the manger is an arrogant & aggressive ego maniac. The gym has been deteriorating in the last 12mths. Poor parking, equipment not maintained, and a water fountain that doesn't work. All in all very glad to cancel my membership here.
Negative experience: Same issue as listed in the long reveiw below. Been waiting since the 7th of jan, (over a month now) for the gym to re open... I don’t intend on driving all the way to Ringwood. The communication with the gym for members is poor as no real outcome to when a ‘new location’ will be open.. it’s just ‘we’re waiting for council’

Negative experience: Having a gym that massive but grossly insufficient parking is unsafe. Gym is at the end of a dark industrial court and you have to park way down on the street, then walk in the dark. It's a legit concern, but staff aren't bothered and tell you to move your car if you park closer.

Negative experience: Nitro has the platform to be a great gym. Good music, Great equipment and overall good energy... That gives it two stars. But... If you are a powerlifter, strongman, corssfitter or OLY weight lifter than this gym is not for you. Unfortunately in this gym there are more rules than you can poke a stick at, the main one which baffles me is NO CHALK, yes you heard correctly.... No chalk. Strange being that half the lifters graffitied on the walls actually use the stuff. And the fact that the franchise owned by Mr CT Fletcher himself is a strength athlete and ex pro powerlifter which would have used it on a very regular basis. This rule makes it impossible for any serious strength athlete to have a serious workout. Also, for the amount of lifting platforms they do have, they have no bumper weights. They are also very limited on other remedial equipment with having no bands and only two 12inch rollers that I have seen for sale in Kmart. Look, if you are a bodybuilder and stick to machine work and bicep curls than this is a great gym. But if your looking to go to war and have an epic deadlift Sesh than look elsewhere. Because in all honesty... You are not wanted here.
