Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this gym for 18 months and even though I have since left Doreen and live 30 minutes away what keeps me coming back is the amazing staff who are so friendly but also the sense of community in this gym. Joh, Sam and Olivia you are doing a great job!

Negative experience: I normally don't write negative reviews, but this time I have to do it! A few months ago, I came across a one-day promo for this gym during the week and decided to register online without going to gym (staff were only 5 pm, so I couldn'tvisit it). My experience with this place was far from satisfactory. When I visited the gym for the first time after signing contract, I was shocked by how small it was. It felt cramped, with people practically on top of each other. There was no space to warm up properly, and the equipment was very limited. You often had to wait a long time for someone to finish before you could use a machine. On my second visit, things got worse—I ended up hurting my knee while trying to work out in such a confined and poorly equipped space. That was the final straw, and I decided to cancel my membership. As per the contract, I had seven days to cancel. That night, I couldn't find their email address but thought I’d handle it the next morning. I eventually found it, sent a cancellation request, and explained my situation. However, Joh (who I believe is the manager) responded, saying I should have canceled by 11:59 PM the previous night and that I now had to pay for six months to get out of the contract. SIX MONTHS! This kind of behavior is beyond unreasonable—it’s pure greed and money hungry. There’s no consideration for people’s circumstances at all. After seeing my doctor, who suggested I get an MRI for my knee injury, I had to ask him to write a letter supporting my cancellation. Even with the doctor’s certificate, I was forced to pay for an additional month before they would let me cancel. This gym is a complete rip-off. They charge $23 per week for what essentially feels like a garage gym. It’s so small that even with just 10 people inside, it feels overcrowded. You can find bigger, better-equipped gyms for half the price and without any shady lock-in contracts. If you’re considering signing up here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This place is not worth the hassle or the money. I would never recommend it to anyone. Stay far away!

Everyone is clean and wipes their equipment after use, as well as re racking their weights. Would definitely benefit from either a bigger location or a second story somehow ;) the new manager joh is a gun and has created a wonderful environment for the staff and members. Negative experience: This gym was considerably unhygienic and the staff were extremely disrespectful. I felt as if my money was completely wasted and not to mention how dirty the dumbbells are. Not happy in the slightest.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Gym!! All staff members are wonderful!! Highly recommend Luke and Rachel from Real Results for PT sessions. I have been having PT sessions with Rachel for almost a year now. She’s been wonderful from the start. I have gained more knowledge about my nutrition and gym equipment. She has consistently asked me what my goals are and puts so much effort and work into my plan every week. I have made a lot of progress from her expertise and support. Beyond happy

Negative experience: Overall, my experience at the gym has been hindered by poor air circulation and overcrowding. The lack of fresh air makes workouts less enjoyable, and the crowded conditions make it challenging to complete exercises on time. Improving these aspects would significantly enhance the overall atmosphere and member satisfaction.

Fantastic experience: I'm a fairly new member and want to say what a helpful pleasant young man Lachie is. He always greets you with a smile and mingles with members happily...a nice change when it comes to customer service and makes me feel comfortable within the gym.

Negative experience: Horrible gym. Small, unequipped, not properly ventilated and machines are always broken. Anytime fitness Doreen does not have a welcoming environment and when you arise problems with the new staff no actions will be taken to resolve them. A gym should promote working out but instead you will be scolded for talking to someone while in the gym. Me and multiple other people have been told to “hurry up” by staff after being on a Machine for under five minutes. The gym needs to stop promoting discounted membership and offers when the current members can barely workout with how crowded it is. Overall Anytime Fitness Doreen is a toxic money grab.

Negative experience: In spite of renovation the equipment is still below average and to be honest most of the machines are useless. The gym is so small that if 10 people are training at the same time you literally cannot breath. The air conditioning system (if you can call 2 fans a system!!!) may work for a small house but definitely not for a gym. Overall its one step better than a house gym and I gave those 2 stars purely for its fantastic manager.

Negative experience: Been with AF since 2018-2023 march, canceled my membership and then i was offered a deal by AF club that i was regular at (no joining fee, no key fee, same rates that i paid earlier $27.90 per fortnight,$200 credit. As i was moving interstate, I rang Doreen branch about 2 weeks ago. Staff said he could offer me same deal when I visit in person. Got a message to book appointment the day i moved to Mernda, booked appointment for today 23 june 2023 (10am) as doreen is close to home. Upon arrival, Club manager said she can’t do that deal and the staff who mentioned that is new. I was given misleading information by staff, drove 15 min from my home thinking the staff would stick to their words. If this was the case i could have got membership from AF interstate and use membership AUSTRALIA WIDE as they say. Very upsetting experience as the manager wanted to charge $22 per week, $79 key fee. There’s gyms out there charging $10 weekly with no joining fee, no contract , more equipments and more spacious.

Positive experience: Small gym though they have all the machines somehow stuffed in there. It's more active than I thought at 4am and the people seem nice. Though the only 2 reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars is :- 1. The smith machine is absolutely bad. 2. The Gym needs more space it gets cramped after just 5 people(and there are usually more at 4 freaking AM.)

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness in Doreen is a truly amazing gym. It is managed very professionally by Rachel, who is always coming up with fantastic new ideas for the gym and it’s members. Rachel and her staff Aly and Jaymee are all knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and professional. The gym has a great community feel, and it’s always a pleasure walking through the doors for a workout. The personal trainers(Real Results) are also true professionals. Special mention to PT Rachel who has educated me and trained me so incredibly well this year. The results we have achieved by sticking to the Real Results plan has seen me shift 10kgs in 12 weeks, and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful. This gym and it’s staff are truly something special.

Fantastic experience: Giving this place 5 stars as the staff are friendly, it’s always clean and has all the equipment you could need. However I felt unnecessary pressure when signing up to this gym, which I think can be improved on. The owner Paul made comments about how COVID had challenged his business financially when I was calculating the cost of the membership. At this time COVID had effected most people, including those paying the membership fees. I felt a layer of guilt for asking if the fees are negotiable, which they are. I had every intention of joining the gym, and I am glad i joined, although this situation made me feel uncomfortable and I still remember this all after a few months. I still highly recommend this gym!

Rachel the Manager & all the staff do a great job. The staff are very professional and nothing is too much trouble. They have great fitness equipment which makes it all the more enjoyable. It’s super clean which I love. I think with the pandemic it’s wonderful to be able to go somewhere local to get fit for our health and well being and to see friendly faces and know you can have a chat, which is what we all need right now. Mental well being is so important as well. I’ve been a member there for a long time & can’t imagine going anywhere else. Keep doing what you’re doing AF Doreen. So many members get so much out of it. Fantastic experience: Very supportive staff, got me sorted out and started in the right direction for the beginning of my gym journey. Absolutely loving Doreen AF! From the start AF Doreen had been great. The always friendly staff make the experience so much more enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Spent the morning at AF Doreen, did my shoulder press free weights 22.5kg then did chest press free weights 25kg Feeling great. Next challenge was the leg free weights, 1 set 20 at 110kg, 1 set of 20 at 120kg. 1 set of 20 at 130kg and the final push was 4 sets 40 at 150kg slow pulses. Then 6 pushes at 150kg. I always have great support from others at AF Doreen, it helps motivate me to push myself further all the time. I enjoy working out 4 mornings a week and seeing the team there each time. Great seeing so many faces even on a public holiday today!

Fantastic experience: I was visiting from Sydney. Contacted Paul who was extremely kind and offered me a free entry to use the gym for a couple of days as I was visiting on a short stay. Met few of the staff who were very kind n welcoming. Customer service at it best. Too good n thank you .

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Doreen has been amazing and extremely inviting as soon as I stepped through the doors, staff are really helpful and always up for a chat. Couldn't recommend them more.

Fantastic experience: Clean and hygenic gym. People clean the machines and dumbbells after use. Currently not open 24*7, you have to book your time slot before going due to social distancing. Overall machines are well maintained and have almost every weight and machine needed.

Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing. People are friendly. Well organised inside. Memberships is Mid range in price but definitely worth the money. Club is always pretty clean. Only draw back is the equipment is getting old, still totally functional but could use an upgrade soon.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! I am new to the area and Paul was so welcoming, informative and polite. They have a nice selection of cardio machines, free weights and machines. I love the music in the background that you can change if you wish! Such a clean facility too with wipes readily available. I am impressed! Thanks Paul for everything!

Fantastic experience: The managers Paul and Rachael are always welcoming and very professional. The atmosphere in the gym is fantastic. Playing your own music through Crowd DJ is great for getting you pumped

Positive experience: I visit many atf over Melbourne and i am not a big fan of this gym. I just dont like the vibe. It is a Very small gym but does have all the basic equiptment.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym, clean with a great variety of machines for workouts, Fiona the manager is happy to help and guide you, the tv's and music keep you motivated.

Negative experience: Don't like the equipment. Not good like other Anytime Fitness centres with Hammer Strength equipment. Lacks music station and no way to control the fans. No wet wipes but has cheep water spray bottles with paper tissues.
