Fantastic experience: Visiting from Sydney. Dubbo AF has a vast amount of floor space, feeling like 3 or 4 "rooms", with a variety of equipment. A lot of the equipment is pretty old school with a mixture of manufacturers and some of it is showing some wear. But it gets the job done, and there were plenty of racks and platforms, and two dumbbell racks. Had a great session here.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Jessica enough as a personal trainer! From the very first session, she made me feel comfortable and pushed me just the right amount. Each week, I find myself looking forward to our classes—even though I'm always a bit anxious beforehand, Jessica's positive energy and encouragement help me power through. She's incredibly knowledgeable, always explains the exercises clearly, and tailors the workouts perfectly to my goals. I’ve seen real progress, both physically and mentally, since starting with her. If you're looking for a trainer who truly cares and makes every session count, Jessica is the one!

They will help you with any concerns you have, show you how to use the equipment or anything. I also love the classes they are a good workout and fun, the size of the gym. I highly recommend this gym for anyone.

Positive experience: Lots of new equipment but lack of training guides. Needs a full time trainer or trained staff.

Negative experience: Amenities are clean and gym is adequately equipped with equipment, on that front the gym is satisfactory. Unfortunately the customer service and managerial discretion and customer service side of things leaves a lot to be desired. On one occasion I lost 2 gym keys (mine and a friend's). In the past - this same friend had recounted an experience where at another gym they had re-programmed a spare key when it had been lost. The gym manager in Dubbo refused to do so in this instance and gave a number of reasons why it could not be done. With little opportunity to discuss further I decided to afford him the benefit of the doubt and I reluctantly accepted this. I paid the fees for the replacement of the two lost keys. One lost key was found the following morning. Due to some internal training, staff was absent from the gym for the week. Despite not being able to speak to a staff member in person about the key that was found, I immediately called the gym and left voice messages. The following week I explained the situation to the assistant manager and she asked if I could bring the 2 keys (to my understanding she was going to reprogram the key and issue me a refund for one of the key replacements). On that day the gym manager called me and I explained the situation - the fact I wanted a refund after paying for a replacement key (one day prior to finding the original key). Once again she refused to look into applying what I view as decent customer service - she informed me that regardless of whatever information was provided by her colleague she could not issue me a refund. There was no attempt to consider that I was "incorrectly informed" by her colleague, let alone consider that the refund was attempted within 24hrs - prior to the replacement key even being used. It was just a blunt and unempathetic "No!" - with no attempt to understand my side. I would find this quite harsh if the service at the gym was outstanding, but I am further aggravated by behaviour that in my opinion is purely incompetent. Upon signing up to the gym approximately 3 months ago, I was offered a complimentary personal training session - this has not been followed up on until the present day. Furthermore, equipment has been left faulty in the gym - such as the leg extension machine that was out of action throughout most of June and July. I only think that when service of this quality is provided, there should be leniency applied to members who have loyal customers. With regards to the $79 that was charged to me for the 2 keys, they can keep the money, they probably need it more than I do - however service (particularly customer service) needs to improve in a hurry.

Machines are spaced so everything is easy to find and you are not training on top of other members. Gym was spotless and the members I spoke to were friendly. Negative experience: I was stuck overseas due to covid for 15 months. They refused to cancel my membership in these difficult times. Kept taking fees from my account even after several emails. You can't cancel your membership even if you just want to 'opt out' or don't want to use the gym anymore. Finally cancelled when they realised any proof of address change would be in another language. Got a debt collector to chase up fees when I locked my account. They refused to move even in these extenuating circumstances. This business has no heart or goodwill.

Negative experience: I am just revenue. My account was put on hold over 7 months ago. About a month ago, I was sent a very basic EMAIL that looked like all the other emails I'm spammed with from anytime fitness so I missed it. A month latter I receive a TEXT message saying my account was overdue. I'm going through an increadably tough time with money at the moment as I have recently lost my job so I called Anytime fitness East Dubbo to see if they could help me out. No matter what I said to them all I got was "We did email you" and "It's in your contract". ON TOP of that, I will have to pay another month because of the "30 day notice" I have to give! I have been with anytime fitness since I was 17-18. I'm now 25. I Left for about a year and signed back with Dubbo Anytime because I had a manager from a different Anytime OFFER to help me in a simillar situation! The 2 people I talked to showed 0 empathy towards me and my situation. I will never be returning to Anytime Fitness. - Edit- "We believe this issue has since been resolved"... This issue WAS resolved thanks to a few generous people around me at the time. NO thanks to Anytime fitness.

Fantastic experience: Huge selection of brand new machines, always super clean, great facilities including lockers, a vanity area, personal security devices, etc. and lovely and helpful staff! Even at peak hour there's plenty of equipment for everyone. Small fitness training groups and weekly challenges to get you motivated too. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a gym with heart Anytime Fitness Dubbo is for you. The new fit out is exceptional, with premium quality finishes and the best range of equipment in the region by far. The clubs management team - Anthea and Alix are committed to not only making sure the day to day running of club is done with the highest standard of professionalism but also that each and every member feel like they’re a part of a community. I can’t recommend Anytime Fitness Dubbo enough!

Fantastic experience: Super friendly staff and never too busy that I can't do what I want when I arrive. I also love that the air con is amazing during the Dubbo summer heat! UPDATE - 2024 Since my original review the gym has moved into a bigger place and it is absolutely wonderful. I've been to a lot of different Anytime Fitness gyms now and the Dubbo one is always one of my favourites to use.

Fantastic experience: Great gym I used on a weekend away. A good sized premises with adequate parking even for a late afternoon session - a time most gyms would be challenged to accomodate peak numbers. The gym has a reasonable layout with multiple options of cardio equipment facing privacy windows so you can enjoy a view while working out. The machine weight section had plenty of equipment to do a comprehensive whole body training program, stretching and functional training area was a good floor size, something often neglected by moderate size gyms. The free weight section was well laid out and a number of power racks so no one is stuck waiting when doing deads, bench, or squats. My only criticism was the equipment was Precor which I dislike, but that is a personal preference and one of several high quality brands that supply the big gyms. Overall a fantastic gym.

Fantastic experience: Anytime fitness is great. Plenty of parking around. I easily parked a truck up nearby to go to the gym. Clean showers and good quality equipment!
