Negative experience: Equipment needs to be repaired just poorly managed.

Negative experience: Was pretty excited to get new management but as things have settled in over the last 6 months, the branch has become just as bad, if not worse than under the previous ownership. Equipment is pretty worn out all over in the weights section. They've had some good staff come through when new ownership took over that actually cared to keep the place in order, but they couldn't keep them around. They've recently hired a bunch of new staff who do pretty much next to nothing except make tik toks and hide in the office all day. Weights areas are a mess along with the toilets, bins are overflowing, wipes take forever to get replaced. I feel like this branch is probably the worst one I've been to in terms of general upkeep and vibe.

Fantastic experience: Joining Anytime Fitness has been a game changer for my health! The 24/7 access is perfect for my busy schedule.

Negative experience: a terribly ran gym i cancelled my membership last may 2023 due to moving away it gets to christmas 2023 and i get told i have an overdue account i explained my situation to the guy and he said he would take care of the overdue account. fast forward again to march 2024 and it hasnt been fixed

Negative experience: most poorly kept anytime fitness I've seen. machines are falling apart- cushions ripped on machines, parts are stuck & not adjustable as they should be, several weight numbers fallen off on multiple machines so you either have to guess or calculate what weight you're doing, no glute drive machine, wipe bins always overflowing, dirty gym- doesn't look like anythings been wiped down in a long time, disappointed considering how much gym memberships cost

Negative experience: If you want to leave the gym shredded, then this is your gym! The vinyl on most of the machines is so old, weathered, and torn up, mimicking the effect of running razor blades on your skin. So, best you bring some padding otherwise, you'll be tearing up more than your muscle fibers. it's one of the worst Anytime Fitness centres I've ever visited. Avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: It’s an ABSOLUTE JOKE that after joining the fob key only lets you into your home club (Travancore) I know the manager told me those conditions when joining; but it’s still an ABSOLUTE JOKE that I’m stuck at a club that I hardly use CHANGE YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO LET MEMBERS USE ANY CLUB WITHIN THE FIRST 30 days Why are you placing restrictions when we are ALREADY PAYING a pricey membership

As someone who doesn’t have much gym experience, Sharon especially helped me figure out how to use the equipment, but also showed me what workouts suit me best. My confidence has really grown. Fantastic experience: This gym is a bit of a second home to me. Rodd and Sharon are always welcoming and love to have a chat. The equipment here works for me and everything is always clean when I use it. My only gripe is they don't have 20kg dumbbells!

Fantastic experience: AF Travancore is a great business. Particularly noteworthy is the work of Nic Sinclair with his friendly demeanour and skills in administration, procedural instruction, remedial massage and dietary recommendations.

Negative experience: Pretty good gym although it took about 10 months from initial message to cancel to actual cancellation and then when it was finally cancelled (after my contract had ended) they charged for another month

Fantastic experience: The equipments are fairly new & clean. There was a female trainer (I think her name was Sharon), she was so helpful & friendly. The customer service there is excellent.

Negative experience: The customer service on the day I went was not the best. I am a member from another branch and used my fob to tap in and it worked. I brought my partner to see the gym and asked for free passes which they usually do but she declined and said it's casual $20. She questioned my membership and looked at my fob as though I did something wrong and told me it doesn't work when it clearly did. She asked me to send my vaccination status via email even though I've already done this at my Anytime fitness in Epping. I've also visited the Roxburg and Werribee Anytime fitness and have never been questioned like that. The manager called me the next day and he was so friendly and apologetic. He mentioned that the worker is new and is still inexperienced and I have empathy for that. I hope she is made aware of this and does better in future. I'll definitely try this gym again because the equipment and space looked amazing.

Fantastic experience: I love that I have finally found a gym that recognises me not as just a paying member or another transaction. Every time I walk in I am greeted by smiling faces and friendly staff that truly make me feel welcome and as a member of the community here. Even though the past year has been miserable for a lot of us, especially the fitness industry which got hit hard, everyone seems so bright and bubbly to all members who walk in. So happy to be a part of the Anytime Fitness family!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Negative experience: Premium prices for an average offering, this place charges double what the other similar gyms like crunch at highpoint charge, but its 1/5th the size and offering. Also tries to charge you $99 (non refundable) for a $2 access card while no other gym does that anymore why do you need to make profit on an access card? The hardware to clone them cost less than wat you charge. Also not open and transparent about pricing like other gyms meaning they can make up the pricing as they go. You want members to be responsible for their access cards you tell them if they break lose etc the first one then they pay $20-$30 to replace it. But you don't make profit on a very cheap thing like an access card.thats what gyms that actually car about their members do instead if ripping them off first chance they get

Negative experience: It happened many times not just once. Too many technical and site problems without any prior notice which makes me mad when I want to workout and when I reach all the way to gym. It's not even open. Also, they could have some pair sets of kettlebells. There are no pairs of kettlebells of same weight. Shocking!! All in all, it's not about staffs as they are very friendly and welcoming, it's just the site and it not being properly regulated and looked after. Also, they could have so much potential for growths adding more group classes. Hopefully, this review gets some attention.

Fantastic experience: Jules one of the trainers is absolutely awesome! She makes me want to go to the gym! It’s lovely to get a smile there... Always happy and inviting! Definitely happy to have this as my home gym! And also be able to use other gyms if I’m not at home!

Negative experience: Signed up and payed $90 "deposit" for the required key pass. Everything was fine, until after my contract ended and I requested the deposit back. As multiple other people have posted, management at this gym will do everything they can, including ignoring their own written agreements, to penny pinch once contracts have ended. Be very cautious when dealing with them, especially if signing up to direct debit. One can only assume they bank your "deposit" as 'their' money, treating their customers like idiots. Shoddy and unethical behaviour (illegal too). My advice is, choose another gym that won't rip you off.

Fantastic experience: I love going to this Anytime Gym. There's so much room for activities! But on a serious note, the equipment is clean, there is heaps of space and the staff are fantastic, particularly Krystle, the doe eyed Disney Manager making sure everyone is happy and safe! Thankyou Anytime Travencore for providing a fun and safe environment to work out.

Positive experience: Used to be my home-gym for a few years before I moved to another branch. It started strong but failed to make adequate improvements. They've been having ventilation and air-conditioning issues for at least 3 years and don't seem to have done anything for it. Recently had to go back while my new gym was under renovation and saw the A/C issue was still present. The random fans they've added don't do much. It's very stuffy and at times stinky. Some of the equipment need to be replaced as they've become flimsy. Apparently they've done a renovation a few months ago but it was only about replacing the treadmills and changing the lighting and moving the stuff around and painting the walls. It's very dark in there now and the place looks even smaller than before. UPDATE: Just received a call from the gym and they explained that during that particular time-period that I used the gym again, someone had accidentally turned off the A/C, otherwise it's been fixed a few months ago. I take their word for it and decided to change the rating to reflect the situation.

Fantastic experience: Spacious with a good selection of equipment. Most of the equipment is Precor, not as good as Hammer Strength, but better than the standard LifeFitness. It is clean, with a great stretching area in the middle. It is one of the better Anytime Fitness gyms I have been to.

Negative experience: By far the worst Anytime (out of 7) I've been to in Melbourne (in terms of equipment). Was hoping refurbishment would update them as its actually the closest gym to home. Must update to Hammer Strength and Lifefitness equipment like 'every' other Anytime. I'm sure the staff are great and try to keep a community feel to the gym. But that's not a selling point to a workout.

Negative experience: I used to be here a lot of times and like it. Gym looks clean. Equipment are good. sometimes ac doesn’t work even hot summer night though. I cancelled my membership because I moved to another country, then they didn’t reply for 3 days even in weekdays. Also they required me to send a form and proof moving out. They asked me that one by one, not the same time. Looks like trying to buy time. My bf also cancelled his contract due to same reason as me. He emailed them twice but they didn’t reply him for a week! Then they said “We didn’t receive your messages”.... He wasn’t asked those paper work I did further. I don’t understand why those staff has different way to cancel contact.

Negative experience: I will advice not to join Anytime fitness on mt alexander road travancore.Very bad when you join is different approach and when you leaving they don't even reply your emails or messages. As my doctor advice me due to my back issue I can't continue to do exercise. So I asked them I want to cancel my membership. I was been told as on contract you need to still pay for 30 days and meanwhile we will let you know about cancellation. The person who attended my call told me when I get chance to see our emails we will reply you as we were closed for 12 days due to renovation.

Positive experience: Initial issues with membership but got to talking to someone who was willing to listen. Got the outcome suitable for all parties. Gym has everything you need

Negative experience: Awful. Have been here three times since moving to the area. It was not great at the start, but tonight is the last time for me. It is almost unbearably humid, stuffy and smelly tonight. I'm sorry to say it but the place doesn't ventilate well, has no air circulation and is nauseating like a sweat box. Equipment is sticky to touch. Air conditioning appears to be evaporative, which is useless in a gym and I don't see them investing in expensive refrigerated air con. The fans are no use as it just blows the sticky air around. You can't do a heavy workout here and I frankly think it would be a potential health hazard to do so. I see by another review here that it has been a problem a long while. I'm sure the owners are lovely. But this gym has some serious design issues and I unfortunately won't be making it my home gym.

Positive experience: The equipment is new. Gym is clean and staffs are great. Avoid peak time, it gets really packed.

Negative experience: Very warm and stuffy indoor. It stinks very badly too, probably because of so much sweating and no air circulation.
