Fantastic experience: very clean space, with lovely staff. a fun experience even for myself as a beginner
Fantastic experience: Too good, worth the price, showers and bathrooms are always clean and don’t smell. Gym itself is spotless and wipes and toilet paper always refilled. Lots of machines and cardio equipment. Plenty of room around the gym. Staff are really kind and just doing their job, I’ve been going to the gym since 2022, and came to Plus Fitness in 2024 when I heard of the new renovations. Gotta say it’s very nice and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.

Fantastic experience: I train here 7 days a week. The staff are amazing and always willing to give a spot & have a good laugh. Especially Nicholas. He trains here regularly and is an absolute gentleman. Would highly recommend anyone to train here! Make sure to pop in & say hi to Nicholas!

Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed with the customer service experience at Plus Fitness, to the point where I felt compelled to cancel my membership. After being a loyal member for three years, my membership was suspended by the manager, Joyce, for leaving a 5-kilo weight on a power rack, and I was told that I may done it twice earlier in my 3-4 years of membership with Plus-Fittness. This decision was made without any prior discussion or opportunity for explanation. The weights were left neatly on the rack, not on the floor, and posed no immediate risk or obstruction to other gym members. I understand the concern for safety but the sudden suspension of my membership without a discussion over the phone was extremely harsh and unprofessional. It's a huge disappointment to see that a member's long-term commitment to the gym can be ignored by a single incident, especially when the issue could have been resolved through a simple phone call to discuss the concern. I expected more understanding and professionalism from the management at Plus Fitness. Due to this experience, I decided to cancel my membership, which was a significant disappointment after three years with the gym. However, I must express my deep dissatisfaction with the false accusations made against me and the manner in which my membership suspension was handled. Your allegations regarding my leaving weights all over the floor are inaccurate and unfounded. It is important to clarify that the weights in question were left neatly on the rack, not on the floor, posing no immediate risk or obstruction to other gym members. Hi Sukchain, Thank you for your review. I have been all over the issue of you leaving the weights on machines, barbells and the hex bar. You have been sent SMS's on multpile occasions and my manager Joyce has tried to call on 3 separate occasions right in front of me. Unfortunately, you have continued to not follow our simple gym rule of putting weight plates away in their proper storage spots. We have this rule in place for a few reasons: 1. It is a potential safety issue for other members 2. It is a potentail equipment maintenance issue 3. To be courteous to your fellow members 4. If we allowed and didnt control this type of behaviour, can you imagine what the gym floor would look like, it would be a pig sty, barbells all left loaded, dumbells and weightplates all over the floor. Now, I have been working in gyms since 2007, and I have seen what mismanaged gyms look like and what a mess it can be. For this reason, I have made it part of our daily tasks to review cameras and remind our members to do the right thing, in most cases a simple reminder corrects this behaviour, seems it didnt with you and for this we were left with no other course of action, other than blocking your access until you decided to make contact with us, as you hadn't responded to any of our previous attempts to reach you. As you would agree we like to keep a clean, safe and well maintained gym. You are always welcome back, but do remeber that you will need to follow some basic gym rules so everyone gets to have a good experience. No one likes to clean up after someone else, I am sure you would be annoyed if when you come in, you had to wonder arond the gym floor looking for weights, because another member didnt bother to place weightplates back in their allocated storage racks. Fantastic experience: I must say that the team at plus fitness is very professional and will be willing to help if you have any concerns. Been there since they moved locations and I'm impressed with how they handle their customers from joining the gym to terminating their memberships. For anyone considering joining, the place is quite spacious and the equipment is what everyone particularly needs. Staff are very kind and say hi upon entering which is very welcoming. I do admit that gym does get busy between 6-8 PM most weekdays but that's normal with every gym.

Negative experience: Brought a friend there to try out the gym to see if she’ll be a member with me, and no other options were offered to her other than an overpriced day pass even though she wanted to try to sign up which she felt was rude. I’ll be switching gyms because this doesn’t offer enough equipment for the price. Other than our unfortunate experience the gym seems pretty clean so that’s good.
Hi Jacque, thank you for your feedback. We did stop doing free trials a number of years ago, there was a number of reasons for this decision. But what we do offer is the casual visit and with that, if the person decides to join then we do credit the casual fee off the access pass, so it in turn does end up being a free trial. I'm assuming this would have been explained, but if it wasn't then I do apologise for that. But that is our practice when it comes to our casual visit policy.

Positive experience: Best plus fitness I’ve been to, clean toilets however most of the times there’s no soap in the first and last stalls, enforces towels better than other plus fitness’s, and great people too. However I’ve noticed the machines break a lot and while I’m doing my sets the machine screws actually fall out of the machines like cables and the hamstring curls. The chest press machine with the kick off also has some issue with it as it usually should stay down to not interfere with the weight but recently it’s been staying up and makes it annoying when you lower the weight down. Some of the machines also have barely any use such as the t bar row at the front, it’d probably be a good idea to get rid of it and add a chest supported version or another machine entirely like a incline chest press or a chest supported horizontal row like the cable row but with weight and being chest supported. It also gets reallyyy hot during spring and summer so I want to see the ac being used aswell, the mentos should also make a comeback ;( Overall it’s really good, needs to work on the maintenance on the machines

I am sorry that your experienced those issues, we do try and aim to have well maintained and serviced equipment all the time, unfortunately things do breakdown from time to time, but just let us know as soon as you notice anything so we can attend to it. The AC was being turned off by certain members, which we have approached them about it, I dont think it happened afterwards, but it is a thing we know we will always need to be keeping an eye. The mentos and other little treats are back, just ask the team at the office :)

Fantastic experience: Anybody complaining about this gym are seriously misguided and need to get a life. Plus fitness liverpool single handedly saved me from post natal depression. Exercise was an integral part of my recovery and survival. The owner is supportive and the staff and equipment are excellent. I especially love the xcell classes. It is a family wholesome environment. Get a life haters. Go elsewhere.

Close to home, open 24/7, a lot of different equipment available, design of the gym is perfect, the vibe is what excites me to keep coming in. Especially hearing the RnB bops playing early in the morning . I’ve never felt so comfortable at a gym till now. 5 stars to the owner and team ⭐️

Negative experience: - Poor and basic equipment. Comparing with other Gyms, they are very basic. But I accepted because walking distance to my workplace - Sometimes air-conditioning doesn't work. - Unprofessional in customer service. Moreover, they gave us short notice to move to another location within 1 week, but till now 6 week haven't done, and refused to stop direct debit or cancellation, here is the nightmare.

Negative experience: Extremely poor membership charging method Over the course of 2 months I paid close to 400 dollars for this membership 400! I got my membership cancelled I have no clue why they keep adding 15 dollars to the membership fee every single fortnight even tho I had sufficient funds in my account. Raised this issue almost 6 times All I had was, "Our boss will look into this and get back to you". Extremely poor service I also kept getting emails saying, "your membership fees are overdue" even tho literally the most recent membership transaction was a few days before. Worst payment charging method. Definitely not recommending
Hi Sahil, as you said you would get an email saying your membership fees are overdue, that explains the $15.90 late fee charged by the direct debit company. Now I have done some calculations and it turns out, that you have in total only paid $257 since joining in January, and this includes the 3 dishonour fees during March and early April. When we make mistakes we have always owned up to it, but dont like having people exaggerating this too much. I can see that your initial 2 fortnightly payments went through without a glitch, but the following 3 rejected. So maybe it was a funds issue. Also I would like to remind you that upon joining, you signed and dated the members code which clearly states, point 4 - If a payment declines there is a $15.90 dishonour fee. It is all above board, something no other gym does, i can assure you of that. Hope you have a nice day.

Positive experience: Everything is fantastic. I really enjoyed working out there, but there are two things to mention: first, there used to be a very bad smell on weekends when the air conditioning was turned off, and second, and this is the most annoying thing for me personally, to see one Croatian guy with long blond hair when he's showing off while working out absolutely disgusting but overall is good Sorry, I forgot how inconvenient it is when the parking lot is full.

Fantastic experience: Been to most of the gyms in the area and this particular Plus Fitness is my favourite by far. The equipment is always improving and all the equipment has a good amount of space between it unlike other cramped gyms. The owner Boris is consistently there welcoming with me a smile and seems invested in creating the best experience for his members as possible.

Negative experience: Unfortunately had my card details stolen and finally recieved my new card from the bank today and get an sms sent to me about my account already been sent to a debt collector. Last thing i am worrying about is my gym membership and such a shame. Would not recommend this place as there was no phone call to ask what was going on.
Hi Ben, I am sorry to hear about your card being stolen, that is an annoying experience I am sure. In regards to the matter of your membership, now I understand certain things could get overlooked in a time when your cancelling your Credit Card, I.e. a gym membership, but we as a business also have measures in place and also practices. I can assure you that there would have been an effort made to contact you, by us from the gym and also our Direct Debit contractor. As I am writing you this response I can see that on the 29 March you were sent an email and an SMS by the Direct Debit provider. I have made it a practice that before any member gets sent to debt collection, we reach out and try to arrange a payment plan to avoid going to debt collection, if these attempts to contact a member are ignored or we don't get a response, we are left with no other choice. The contact number we have on record ends with 760, can you verify this is still your number? Also the email you have provided is a hotmail account, is this still and active email you use? These matters we try and avoid going to debt collection, but unfortunately as a business we need certain protection also. I hope we can reach a healthy outcome for you as it's still not to late to work something out with the agency. Feel free to reach out to us on 96011103. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for almost 3 years now. The gym is always clean and well maintained. Boris does a awesome job keeping everyone engaged with the classes (sign up for it!). If you live in Liverpool and wanna burn those love handles, look no further.

Fantastic experience: Plus fitness Liverpool is an amazing gym. The staff are attentive, helpful, professional, friendly and really know what they’re doing. In the past 6 months alone I have lost 20kg with help from their professional trainers and classes! They are so dedicated to helping others get fit and achieve their goals.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for over two years now and the cleaniness and friendliness provided by the staff has not dwindled even once. Even during covid-times they've managed to keep all the equiptment well sanitised by providing us with sanitizing stations and keeping equiptment 1.5m apart. Yes its a small gym, but the equiptment is so well maintained and looks relatitively new which creates a very welcoming atmosphere to train in. The people that frequent this joint are very friendly and respectful of one another and you get to the see the amazing progress that most people put in which in return motivates you into improving yourself! Something to watch out for is their monthly challenges which I believe always have prices for those brave enough to attempt them (nothing crazy). They also have PTs and classes during the week for those interested.

Fantastic experience: You can tell this gym is run with passion, as more than just a business. Facilities are cleaned like clockwork and I highly commend the proactive approach to keeping gym members COVID safe without impacting the gym experience much at all. Staff are always friendly and are willing to help everyone, even new starters who are a little shy or aren't so familiar with gyms (like I was). Boris is an absolute legend, him and his smiley staff run awesome classes that anyone can participate in. You can see the effort staff put into ensuring feedback from members is actioned and that they can support every member in their goals. All in all this gym not only has exceptionally maintained facilities, it also has its own little community where everyone can be motivated to do their best and I think thats simply great!

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite gym in Liverpool. The equipment is well maintained, and the owner Boris is a legend. I requested they add a hex bar to the gym and he responded very quickly in getting one. Love it, and thanks Boris

Positive experience: Honest opinion. Equipments are new, fully equipped and clean, place is spacious, flooring is new and clean most of the time. Bathroom and shower rooms are clean compared to other gyms. The staffs are always friendly and cleaning, tidying the place up. Best Plus fitness gym I've been to so far. Only thing is I wish they have solid walls for some medicine ball throws/ functional slam ball work. Currently they just have wooden thin walls.
Hi Carine, Thank you for your review, we certainly do try our best to ensure the gym is well maintained for our members. As for the walls, we agree with you and we know the benefits of doing those kinds of functional training. Unfortunately the walls were put up before we moved in so we had to leave them for the aesthetics. But we are working on something to hopefully give you what you are looking for. We will keep you updated on progress.
Negative experience: After making an enquiry 6 months ago using my mobile number, I have received 6 promotional messages and a number of phone calls. I never gave permission for my number to be used in this way, and I have messaged “stop” in reply a number of times.
Hi Melanie, we have had a look at our CRM system, there is one person we have with your name but a different surname. This person had replied with a Stop but also had a long reply, when this happens our system doesn't pick it up as a directive to stop. We can see that earlier today only for a second time, a reply was sent and this time with just a Stop message. If this person is you? your contact details are now off our mailing list and you won't be receiving any further messages. Hope you have a nice day. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Every time I hit the gym I'm welcomed with a warm smile and the staff are always willing to help out and correct my techniques. These guys are amazing! Special thanks to Boris, Tia and Saja for encouraging such a positive atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Been with this gym from day one. Amazing and friendly staff. members are awesome. The gym prides itself on its cleanliness and appearance. Has the feeling of 'your' own personal gym unlike other places. Weekly classes are always a bouns 3 sessions a week. It has it all

We are sorry you feel this way, but our membership agreements are No Lock In Contracts, as your membership was cancelled as per the agreement, (a two weeks notice). And since we also gave you the access pass out of good will to pay for at a future date, (thank you for returning it since) and a welcome pack, we feel that this review is unjustified and untrue. You can leave it on here if you wish as we welcome all reviews, and have nothing to hide, because we do aim to be very honest and transparent with our memberships.
