Anytime Fitness Dickson

Negative experience: Club was generally clean and tidy with friendly staff and a decent range of workout equipment. However, when I went to cancel my membership I was made to jump through unecessary hoops. I called to cancel the membership. The admin said I needed to send an email to cancel. I sent an email, to which that person said I need to again call or else come in to make the cancellation payment. I authorised them to just charge the payment to my billing details on file. They said I still needed to call or come in, as per procedure. I called and we went through the payment process, using the billing information on file anyway. After the call I questioned why they didn't allow to me to just do this over the phone when I first called. This procedure needlessly took extra time, in which a fortnightly payment was deducted. I question whether the gym intentionally makes the cancellation procedure circuitous and frustrating to deter cancellation. I recommend going to Club Lime Dickson instead to avoid the headache.

Positive experience: Ambient music is waaaaay too loud!! Equipment often disorganised and just left lying around!! Too many bench’s that obstruct movement and present hazard. Music is just annoying!!!

Negative experience: #Tiny #ill-equipped Very small gym with very limited equipment. I was quite shocked when I was told that's all there is, I have seen gyms in resorts and hotels better equipped thn this. The lighting is very poor, and ventilation wasn't very ideal. There's no designated parking space, have to go with paid street parking (if u lucky enough to find any) The biggest turn down was what they were charging weekly + admission + access fee that too with a contract. Given you have to pay for parking too, equates to the same amount you'd pay in a fitness centre with pool and other amenities in the area. 1 extra star for the nice and welcoming staff in house and over the phone.

Fantastic experience: This is a well kept gym, I've been coming to this one for a few days while in town for work. Each time I've been the gym is spotless, weights are all stacked correctly. The overall layout of the gym is good, and the condition of the equipment is well maintained. Looks like the gym's pretty well managed, I'd recommend going to this AF.

Negative experience: Was upfront about contractual length when discussing signing up until the paperwork was presented. Unlocked door but requires tap-in. Rather than happing a tap-in location inside during operating hours. Generally brusque demeanour.

Fantastic experience: Had a great workout

Fantastic experience: Used to be the place for lots of professional sportsmen before refurbishing. It's got good quality equipment and the place is kept very clean, and there is always hot water unlike some other gyms. A bit too warm in the winter, it's like having a sauna workout. I guess it adds to the workout effort as I have not seen anyone object. Maybe they could do with some more fans. We have seen the girls keep it safe and usher out of there anyone suspicious looking and always aware of any who haven't swiped the membership key, so it feels safe to keep coming back. However, the location is great, despite the suburb is filthy and attracts dubious people - don't wear good gym shoes outside! But, cheap alternative meals are everywhere after a workout!

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, plenty of equipment and space so even when it’s busy/peak it doesn’t even feel too crowded. Staff are always welcoming and especially Ali for helping me during my first week. Would give 4.5 if only because the treadmills aren’t very user friendly - but it doesn’t take away from the rest of the gym!

If you need help, they're more than happy to help. I highly recommend doing a one on one too.

From the good selection of equipment to its respectful and private atmosphere, from its accessibility to the tram to the gym's supportive staff (who always respond in a timely and friendly manner), it's a heck of a great place to work towards our health and fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: Today was marked with highlight and being overwhelmed by mobile apps tech, personal weight loss since my membership is at a a high progressive rate within months of reaching goal weight loss, so happy, mobile phone app for QR scanning to leave review had me confused and belittling myself for seemingly being an illiterate with my new phone purchase, as with all AF gym training I was stoic in following up and handled it rather well later after a meal (end of 17 hour food fasting) and much needed rest, here’s to achieving with AF , THANKYOU ALL STAFF

Negative experience: Probably one of the worst anytime fitness gyms I’ve been too!!! It’s kinda clean but that’s not the real issue!!!! It’s the people that go there thinking it helps them get attention by dropping there really hefty weights every time they can!!! It is so off putting……….. then leaving the weights that were so hefty they had to drop from the greatest height they could lift it out for others to pick up :(

Negative experience: Worst gym ever if you struggle mentally and physically( I mean literally have a incurable disease) they won’t care they still want money. Even after they received doctors certificates and your stuck in a mental ward they still want money and try make your mental health situation worse. Advice stay away from this gym!!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently switched to Anytime Fitness Dickson, primarily to strength train independently using a program, and couldn’t be happier. The gym is really well equipped and maintained, and there’s a great sense of community, which is driven really well by the staff. Have also taken advantage of the twice weekly group conditioning classes and big thumbs up. It’s a pleasure to train here.

Negative experience: I sighed 12 months contract. Due my my work situation I couldn’t join the gym, but I payed all the time. After 12 months, when it finished I wanted to quit, and emailed them. But there was no response, and they had been still charged me. At the end, I visited the gym, and was told I should have fill the form, and I must get another 1 month as a notification month, even though I still can’t join. If you want to join the gym just make sure these problem could happen to you.

Fantastic experience: Good gym. I think it's a layout and the quality of the equipment was good. They've provided spray bottles and cloths as well as wipes to clean the equipment which I liked. There are a few lockable (using a code) cabinets in this gym.

Fantastic experience: This a good modern, newly upgraded Anytime Fitness. I love the 4 squat racks with deadlifting platforms and 2 squat/no deadlifting racks. This is good amount of racks for this sort of gym. There are plenty of machine stations for general work outs and a generous cardio selection of; running machines, cross trainers, stair matrix, ski pulls and rowing machines. There is also a functional area to do his jumps and the like.

Negative experience: I had been a member at Anytime Dickson for 18 months. In addition to membership fee I spent thousands on Personal training. In the beginning they had a good trainer who was consistently available so I bought more pt session because of him. Shortly after that he quit siting the reason that he was working in fitness for people who hated fitness. Following that there was no pt available for months so couldn’t use my paid for session. When a new one was hired she had no availability for 6 weeks then when she had availability she quit after 4 weeks. She was replaced with a junior pt who quit after one week. Then I was informed that no pt was available so still couldn’t use my paid for sessions. So I found a pt somewhere else and asked for a refund of the sessions I paid for. It became a complicated process of dealing with multiple people and after 6 weeks an arrangement was made for a refund. A week later the owner changed that arrangement causing me to lose over 30 pt session that we’re already paid for. I requested to speak to the owner who refused to listen and repeatedly cut me off and told me to listen to her which I consider rude . Poor customer service and unprofessional. Her reasons were unreasonable and she kept stating that she had a business to run. A business that relys on members like me. I’ve cancelled my membership because of that conversation with the owner. The gyms not bad and other members are nice but after 18 months of paying membership fees and pt to be treated like that and have a reasonable request refused simply because she “ has a business to run” to me is unacceptable. I will not be recommending anytime fitness in Dickson to anyone who has big goals and wants support to achieve them. If the gym changes ownership I may consider going back.

Negative experience: So bad. system for quitting are the same as they were in 2002. When you wish to quit they don't suspend your membership automatically unless to think of it at the time . They will keep charging you unit you go in person and quit. Just wow. Not going to recommend anytime fitness to any one

Positive experience: The new updates and upgrade to the gym is awesome. There are a few to have equipment missing but the essentials as there to have a great workout. Pros: Everything to do your workout either with machines, barbells, free weights or smith machine Heavy dumbbells Stairmaster Nice cardio equipment Cons: (not a criticism but nice to haves) ie: Preacher machine, standing calf raise, laying hamstring curl, hammer strength shoulder press and different machines which could be substituted for different exercises Other than that it's an awesome gym!
