Physio Labs Ormeau

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Jack for the last 6 weeks following an injury. Jack has been attentive, professional, and possesses a great depth of knowledge. He explains concepts in lay terms, regularly checks for understanding, and provides opportunities for clarification - steps that differentiate his services from other providers. I’ve made great progress during my time with Jack. I don’t plan on injuring myself again, but if I do, Jack will be the first person I call.

Negative experience: Always problems with admin. I've gone twice to be told my appointment got cancelled. I went today - checked in at 9am and was told to sit down. 20 mins later I ask if the physio is running late - to be then told I didn't have an appointment and I left a voicemail to cancel. (No I didn't and why tell me to sit down after I check-in??) The physios are great but the booking system needs to be looked at as this has happened MULTIPLE times.

Fantastic experience: Went to see Jack Melbourne at Physiolab with a frozen shoulder. With a combination of physical therapy and a clear exercise regime I have seen great improvement very quickly. Jack is very knowledgeable and shared lots of insights as part of the sessions on what is happening in my shoulder. He also discussed potentially pathways for additional things I can do to accelerate my progress. He genuinely cares about your progress. It is great to find someone who help you get back to be the best version of your physical self ! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Yates at Physio Labs Ormeau for a few months now, and I’m thrilled with the progress we’ve made on my long-term injury. From the very first session, Dr. Yates demonstrated genuine care for my health goals, tailoring treatments to meet my individual needs. Their expertise and personalized approach have been key in my recovery journey. The entire team is incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. The follow-up care is excellent as well, ensuring that I stay on track between sessions. I highly recommend Dr. Yates and the team at Physio Labs to anyone looking for dedicated, professional, and effective physiotherapy care.

Negative experience: Sean Yates evidently shows 5 per cent patient care and 95 per cent is about money making with unnecessary appointments. The receptionist chews gum whilst speaking to you and is extremely rude. Again, be mindful, Sean will try to excessively book you into more appointments than what you need, to make more profit. The information that Sean provides you with is also misleading and inaccurate. A great way to waste money.

Negative experience: Poor customer service. Turned up to my first DVA appointment early to help getting the paperwork done at Ormeau and the receptionist was full of attitude, rude and not interested in assisting me at all. I ended up canceling the appointment and walking out as I felt like if this how I’m going to be treated at my first appointment then it can only get worse from here.

Fantastic experience: I can’t thanks Physio Labs Ormeau enough for the help and support they gave me in recovering from a serious injury. In particular, Cody one of the Physio’s who was brilliant during the physio sessions, without him I wouldn’t be back playing football now. I highly recommend Physio labs, great service and support throughout.

Fantastic experience: Always had a great result with Natasha. Almost 3 years without sciatica pain. Just love the treatment and she gets the spot first go. No having to continuously return. Thanks Natasha.

Fantastic experience: Jack is very diligent in understanding concerns and giving a correct diagnosis. He made me understand the management plan and followed up my progress carefully. Even in his absence (on leave), he left me in good hands of his colleagues. Generally all the team members at the centre are very caring and professional. I am very happy with care given. I had issues causing pain of both legs, and couldn’t walk properly and had certainly could not jog. Now I am walking better, and I’m back to jogging. Thank you team!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to PhysioLabs for two years now receiving support and training advice from Jack Melbourne. Jack has been very helpful as I manage my symptoms of multiple sclerosis (balance, cognition, fatigue). Jack is incredibly resourceful and reliable when I address any concerns I have and if he can't answer right away he will do his best to find the answers I am chasing. Admin staff are fantastic both in person or over the phone. It's also helped receiving texts and updates referring to future appointments. PhysioLabs have a great team of physiotherapists to consider when I've had to look at training with when Jack has been unavailable.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish I’ve had a very positive experience at Physiolabs. I saw Cody and he was just great! Professional, friendly and very interested in my injury and committed to getting me back to running which was my goal! I’m back running as I was before and was discharged yesterday ☺️ I wouldn’t hesitate to see Cody again in future if needed.

I struggled to walk and was unable to work on my first appointment. Jack professionally diagnosed my problem and began his magic. After 2 visits I was feeling better and back at work. Fantastic experience: I visited Physio Labs this morning for a shoulder/arm pain from exercise. The building was easy to find, but there wasn’t too much parking on the lot itself, so had to park on the road. My appointment was with Nash, who I found was very informative and explained things to me really well. Considering this was my first Physio appointment in general, I found it easy to get a last minute appointment, I felt comfortable and understood their process for recovery. I would recommend Nash and Physio Labs.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Cody Browning for a number of visits,regarding injuries,he's a understanding person,try's his best to help you,knows exactly what exercises that will and need to help me on myself returning to work,and getting mobile,has a lot of patients lol would recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Physio Labs have been involved in many different treatment plans for our family over the years. Each time a very 'successful' outcome. All the staff we have seen over the years have a great depth of knowledge, easy to communicate treatment with and understand what your treatment is and why you need it and formulate a plan to work together towards great long term outcome. Recently had Cody help me through long term knee pain in both knees, with a wholistic, natural approach. Very highly recommend Cody and Physio Labs

Negative experience: This was the worst medical fitness test I have ever attended, hearing test was impossible, due to all the surrounding noises. Eye sight test , ridiculous with in adequate lighting in the room. I slipped off the side of the therapy table which was too narrow and slippery causing me to fall flat on my back creating severe pain and injury. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these people, you will end up in worse condition or even a wheelchair. Totally incompetent.

Fantastic experience: After bilateral knee replacements Connor worked tirelessly with me to improve my mobility and flexibility. It's only been 8 weeks since my surgery and I'm walking quite well. Still have a way to go so I'm starting group classes next week. I can highly recommend Physio Labs to anyone in need of physio.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going for the last 2 months due to a work cover incident on my knee. Connor has been working with me & I can’t recommend him enough. The way he explains everything is amazing. He’s so kind and great at his job. So glad he has been my physio therapist during the course of my injury. The staff at reception are also lovely and attentive.

Fantastic experience: After seeing 7 doctors, an osteopath, and one other Physiotherapist, I was hesitant to start the process all over again with another practitioner. The first session with Tash was great! She understood (first hand) my concerns and was knowledgeable and helpful. She took the time to explain all potential outcomes with me. She suggested several diagnostic tools she could offer and even others that would involve referral, such as an MRI. Once I had an MRI she explained a treatment plan, adjusted exercises according to my pain levels and gave me different options depending on pain that day. She really cares and has the resources to put that care into play which was hard to find, given I had seen so many other people in an attempt to diagnose my herniated disc L5-S1. She even accessed my MRI results and emailed me a copy as I couldn't access them for 7 days after. I could not recommend PhysioLabs highly enough. Once I have my surgery, I will be returning to Tash for rehab and will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

While going through several treatments, Derek always explained the processes and why it had to be done and he was always professional and never judgemental. The front staff are super kind and helpful and the establishment is clean and well equipped. Cannot fault Physio labs Ormeau at all, highly recommend to anyone looking for a physiotherapist. Fantastic experience: Two months ago, I underwent foot reconstructive surgery, due to severe degenerative arthritis. As an unfit older person, my whole body was in pain in my attempt to keep my operated foot off the floor, using a heavy knee scooter. Midway through my recuperation, and as part of my recovery plan, my surgeon directed me to see a physiotherapist. I chose Physio Labs in Ormeau and I’m so glad that I did! The girls on the front desk were lovely from the word go and the premises bright and cheerful. More importantly though, from my very first visit with brilliant physiotherapist Josh Montoya, I gained confidence and mobility. With his help and encouragement, I graduated from the scooter to two crutches and then one in a matter of weeks. He used his massage skills to ease my body issues also, making it easier for me to move around without pain. Josh answers all of my questions and doubts clearly, setting my mind at ease and calming my panic. I am now facing the rest of my rehabilitation with confidence, knowing I have Josh to turn to if in doubt. I would definitely recommend Physio Labs and Josh, problem solver extraordinaire!

Fantastic experience: I fractured my tibial plateau while skateboarding, and after recovering from surgery I suffered from fat pad syndrome. Funny sounding name, but it was the worst pain I ever felt. I was 23 years old, limping, unable to straighten or bend my leg, having to use crutches, and thought I would have to live like that forever. I had a few sessions with Josh, and was so depressed I was expecting nothing, I thought I was a lost cause. I’m very happy to say my pain is completely gone. Josh showed me great exercises to build up my strength, corrected my form, explained why and how everything worked, and made sure I understood before sending me home. He never pushed me to do things I couldn’t handle, but still I left every session with a challenge or goal to work towards to. I can now go places without having to worry about whether my knee will give me pain. The clinic itself is great, they have lots of equipment, nice waiting area, and fantastic receptionists. I would absolutely recommend Physio Labs Ormeau. It changed my life!

Fantastic experience: Rian at Physio Labs Ormeau has been such a fundamental part of my injury recovery. During my first appointment I was experiencing very limited movement in neck, shoulders and upper back and any movement that was still occurring was causing immense nerve pain, dizziness and nausea. As someone who is very active this was such a challenge. Now, thanks to all of Rian’s expertise, hard work and compassion I have had a significant reduction in pain and have gained a huge range of movement back and am on my way back to running. :D The women on the front desk are very friendly and the clinic and gym are always very clean and tidy. Rian and the rest of the team at Physio Labs Ormeau are compassionate and caring professionals who have provided me with such a high level of service I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a Physio. Thankyou Rian and Physio Labs Ormeau for everything you have given back to me.

Fantastic experience: The Physio I consulted clearly explained every action she was doing or asked me to do. It was very interesting how certain movements relieve so much pain in like 30 seconds. I feel like I know my body a lot more after the first session.

Fantastic experience: First time seeing a Physio was with Robert! He is very thorough and knowledgeable. No concern of mine was to big and by the time I left we had made progress with less pain, a management plan of where to go from here as well as a follow up appointment! Highly recommend Physio Labs Ormeau.

Fantastic experience: Had a great first and continuing follow up sessions with Jack Melbourne who diagnosed and gave me good strategies for tennis elbow that resulted in improvement within 1 - 2 weeks. I had to introduce another small niggling in my foot and didn't faze about having me bring another issue to the appointment. Still working on the issues and working on the homework strategies to help as well. Waste of time and money if a patient doesn't follow up with the exercises in between sessions.Highly recommend Jack.

Fantastic experience: Cant speak highly enough of Tash's Reformer classes, she goes from machine to machine checking on your performance and if you think you can slack off be warned she's got eyes in the back of her head and she'll be on you like a pack of wolves, she's very particular and dedicated, if i could give 10 stars i would !

Fantastic experience: Had been to other physio places only to given a a4 piece of paper with exercises on it after 5 weeks no change in pain. Been seeing ryan taylor at physio labs strathpine for the last 4 weeks and from the first consult I have been getting less and less pain to the point i'm off pain killers and with his help I have better strength and range of movement.

Fantastic experience: I was involved in competitive sport for many years and accumulated several injuries along the way. Ryan was always there to assist me whenever I needed help. Professional service, knowledgeable individuals and all round great people... What more can you ask for.

Fantastic experience: First appointment (with Arron). Gentle with pain and testing range of movements, (to not aggravate the area further). The consult was very informative. Actually looking forward to next consult. As an added bonus, my private health insurance paid for 100% of the first appointment.

The team at physio labs have been instrumental in helping me to train my body in ways that mitigate my injuries and allow me to maintain physical longevity. Negative experience: went in on Monday as i had a pinched nerve & in quite a bit of pain , they "assessed " me & the result yes pinched nerve told to make an appointment for next week , no treatment or advice on pain management & expected to wait another 7 + days before being treated would have expected to be seen the next day to start treatment at the very least ? left a $100 poorer & still in pain this is a business not a health care center

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Ormeau Physio since it opened. Dr. Ryan has helped me out with all my injuries, he has always given me great advice and rehab movements to get me back out running. The team are super friendly and are all very keen to help. I highly recommend these guys.

Fantastic experience: I have being seeing Derek Wong for help with neck pain, mobile shoulders and headaches. My first session resulted in a major decrease in the level of chronic pain I was experiencing and the first decrease in many years. After several sessions I have increase mobility more stable shoulders and less frequent heads. I cannot recommend Derek highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Derek has been incrediably helpful in reliving my migraines. I was sick with a migraine for 4 days when I attended a session where Derek listened to my concerns and diagnosed an issue with my vertabrae very quickly. I had fantastic relief in just the first session. Being from the medical industry myself, I appreciated the in depth knowledge Derek was able to provide about the condition and how it occurs which has assisted me to recognise changes in my headaches to better report my progress back to him. He sets realistic goals. Would highly reccomend for any headache and migraine issues!

Fantastic experience: I've been to numerous different physio clinics, but Ormeau Physio is definitely the best. I have received treatment from Ryan over the past 3 years, for various injuries. Ryan is by far the most practicable and realistic physio who provides a high level of customer service and ongoing support. I would definitely recommend this place and Ryan.

I have a regular physio (Derek) who knowledge has helped me understand fix tight and painful muscles, treatment to fix the pain as well as giving me home exercises to help prevent pain from occurring. Fantastic experience: In the past I've been to a chiropractor and an Osteopath but nothing has worked as well as Physio. The best thing about these guys is that they actually LISTEN! Not just in and out quick adjustment. It's a consulting session, and they tell you what to do at home to improve. Can't recommend enough :)
