Positive experience: Relaxing, quiet atmosphere, nice music, clean, good toilet/shower facilities, basic equipment but enough to complete any workout.

Negative experience: My contract was ended on 9th of October and I told them to cancel it and they are still charging me and I have sent emails and tried to call them many time nobody responded.

Negative experience: Got confirmed of membership cancellation via email in Aug, but still got charged in Oct. try to call but never get through.

Negative experience: Very bad service no one is available to receive a call, took 5 month to cancel the subscription

Fantastic experience: I’m a long time gym user and this one is great. It has a fairly spacious layout and has all the equipment you could want (multiple squat racks and enough cardio equipment that I’ve never had to wait). Bathrooms are typically quite clean and there are plenty of cleaning stations around to wipe down equipment. Staff are great, never had any issues.

Negative experience: This is the worst gym someone can ever go to. We cancelled the membership and 6 months later we were still getting charged. Calling customer service for 6 months and noone answers the calls. Went face to face and they mentioned they would cancel the service but never did. Such a terrible, irresponsible workers. The worst place anyone can ever go. If you own a business, firstly make sure you are doing it right.

Negative experience: I took the trial membership for 28 days and i didnt sign any contract or give them bank details for direct debit or any email them to cancel my membership but they didnt reply and i aslo personally called the fitness trainer Luka but he said he cant do any thing as it has to be done by office. I didnt get any reply from emails which i sent them to cancel my membership as i dont want to continue after the free trial period. I had to leave out of the country for emergency family issue so i cant call them from overseas. They are scamming people by saying try 28 days free trial and then if you dont want you can discontinue your membership, even though you dont sign any contract or give any direct debit details ,they transfer your id and home address details for third party payments and then after the free trial period ends and then harass you every fortnight saying you are overdue and if the bill keeps on adding ,if you dont pay then we will transfer it to external debt collection agency. So its a setup to invite people and then harass them for payments ,be careful and dont get into trap. I will not recommend any members to refer their freinds as the admin is lazy and dont help members.

Negative experience: This has got to be the worse gym I have ever been too. It’s a pity because the actual gym itself is great and clean but the people that work there, it’s a joke. I tried to contact them on numerous occasions because I went interstate. No answer, I mean I tried everything. Phone calls that don’t even work, left messages, filled out online form, sent emails. No one reply’s. I don’t know how you can run a gym like that. It started early this year with my membership price increasing to almost double without notice, tried to contact them about that and nothing, then I requested to cancel because you need to give notice and still nothing. Months passed and I kept getting overcharged.eventually head office got involved and my membership was cancelled. No apology no explanation nothing. Then I requested to have some of the charges refunded as it was supposed to be cancelled many months ago and still waiting for a response. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but look i waited like 5 months before leaving this review. That shows you how long I’ve been trying and giving you a chance to fix this. I literally just called now before leaving this review and it doesn’t even seem to be working. Who still has a landline for a gym and no mobile. Again it’s sad because I actually loved this gym originally, but the staff well actually there’s no staff.

Negative experience: Was still being charged even though I already cancelled my membership. I tried cancelling it in person and the bloke told me to email Coburg Anytime Fitness (AF) with my details and fob key number and that was back in May. Went to Commbank a month ago and I showed my emails and evidence. Commbank employees immediately stopped my money going through to Coburg Anytime fitness. They were shocked how a big gym franchise is doing this to a customer. I have sent numerous emails to Coburg AF for refund but never got a response and they never seem to pick up the phone. Never joining with any AF gym again.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever! They don't do their job! No one answers the phone or email but they don't forget to take your money. Avoid this place at all costs! They don't measure up to Anytime Fitness! Find another place with professional and honest staff!

Negative experience: One of the worst gym by far. The equipments are dirty and bathroom is the worst. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their cleaning protocols.

Negative experience: I never leave 1 star reviews but this is my last resort. I really liked this gym and the PT Stefan was really helpful. However I have tried to contact the staff on many many occasions with no response. I even went into the gym during staffing hours to speak to someone and there was no staff present. The gym knew when I signed up that I had health concerns and I would likely need to freeze my account often. They stated this wouldn't be an issue. However it has been hard to even get through to anyone. No responce through emails, calls or texts. Super disappointed.

Negative experience: Awful gym. Absolutely awful. I’ve been to roughly 20 different gyms and locations in my life and this is by far the worst. The staff are so unhelpful. Don’t bother trying to contact them either, they don’t answer calls or emails or Facebook messages. I have never been more appalled by a company in my life. If someone offered me 4 billion dollars to train at the coburg anytime gym again I would decline in a heartbeat. So disappointed. Cannot WAIT to cancel my membership (when they decide to answer their phones and talk to paying customers).

Negative experience: Hi guys, I’m already anytime fitness member at other home gym some one contact me to my messages pressed me sign up af the one I go it was actually one freeze the guy is so rude didn’t give my refund back I didn’t even go gym that it’s over $60 when I emailed them they didn’t respond they told me to contact debit success and those people told me to contact the gym. It didn’t work either way so I went to different franchise other af can’t unable to review my case I decided to contact this Google review so I hope for no one this will happen. I really don’t like this part of we are already af member why do we receive text messages from other Franchise

Positive experience: Pros: convenient location, good selection of equipment, helpful and friendly staff, generally clean. Cons: Equipment is a little on the worn side.

Negative experience: I honestly never leave a review. But the customer service of this place is horrible not helpful at all. I left my headphone in the venue last week. The day after I went and ask for the help to the staff. They said they gonna help me to figure out but nothing happens after that. They just said we didn’t see anyone taking your headphones out of the door. I asked them to show me CCTv bcz I remember where I left it but they said they can’t do it.

Negative experience: I was very much disappointed with this gym. The cleanliness is nothing to write home about. There is no disinfectant area or facility to wipe instrument, the bathroom is so dirty with stains on sinks. Although the environment is spacious with enough equipment, they are dirty and make unusual noise. Overall, the environment is nasauting as compared with other anytime fitness club I have visited.

Fantastic experience: Great location with lots of parking close by, great friendly staff, good trainers on the gym floor, would recommend.

Negative experience: This Gym has horrible customer service. I have been trying to cancel my subscription for 6 months now as I am no longer anywhere near an Anytime fitness gym and cannot physically attend any locations anymore. My calls are ignored, i am being lied to - you haven’t canceled my contract like mentioned the past 6 times ive called and you wont respond to my emails. STOP CHARGING ME. I was advised that the last monthly payment would be my last as I had given 30 days notice. Why am I still getting charged. Hold yourselves accountable for this and get in contact with me. You have my details. Edit- just go through your bank if you want to stop your subscription and get a refund next time. Doing the right thing wont get you far with this gym.

Lockers have been broken since last year, though AF tells me over the speaker to go lock my belongings in the lockable lockers provided. Weights are NEVER re-racked. Pull your socks up Coburg!

Fantastic experience: Recently visited this gym a few times while on holidays and was really impressed with the variety of equipment. There was lots of equipment to choose from, the gym itself and all equipment was really clean. The staff were friendly and super helpful.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, well-equipted, and nice atmosphere. It is the forth branch of Anytime Fitness I workout there and it realy deserves 5 star.

Negative experience: Okay I never leave reviews- I honestly never complain. But this place was literally the most disgusting gym I’ve ever stepped foot in. I’d sooner lick the bottom of my own shoe then touch anything in the gym ever again. The toilet can’t be described as anything other than revolting. Wads of toilet paper everywhere- and every toilet bowl look like someone had a terrible case of explosive diarrhoea..and the smell was vile. None of the facilities look clean; in the bathroom or the main gym- no disinfectant wipes provided or hand sanitiser to be found so the equipment felt sticky and gross. The gym felt barren- as if it was left to waste away. I came during unstaffed hours, so I have no idea what the service is like- but if it is anything like their standards for hygiene…I personally just wouldn’t risk coming here. I feel like I need a long shower to cleanse myself of this filth; and certainly not in their provided showers.

Positive experience: Edit* team have been putting in effort to improve the cleanliness of the gym. Occasionally the nighttime users will leave tp and food around the bathrooms but they'll get on top of it once they're aware. Equipment is good and all seems to work. But, cleanliness is gross and getting worse. Lost property now has been left in cubbyholes for over a month. Old drink bottles and coffee cups. Toothbrushes left on the floor of the shower. Toilet paper everywhere. Soap hasn't been refilled in two of the bathrooms for over a week. Staff just walk past it like it's all normal and okay. Thanks for your reply - I wouldn't have left a review if this was a one-off thing. It appears your cleaners photos are intentionally missing things like the toothbrush left on the shower floor. Been there two weeks.

Fantastic experience: The gym manager is friendly and willing to help in any way that he can. There is more than enough equipment here for my needs and there is always plenty of space to work out. I also never have to wait for any of the equipment. The trainers here are knowledgeable and always willing to help out. I highly recommend this gym!

Negative experience: Really poorly kept gym, way too expensive and smells most of the time. I spoke to Braydon about some issues with equipment and he completely dismissed me, tried to argue with my feedback, and was overall hostile and aggressive. Go elsewhere.

Negative experience: I am actually In shock at how bad this gym is run. You can never get into contact with anyone there, the phone rings out (even when you call 10 times in a row during opening hours) and every email I’ve sent has gone unanswered. the manager changes every few weeks… a sign that the company isn’t going well. Long story: I quit a few months ago after I realised they charged me during lockdown when the gym was closed. The manager (at the time) was great, helped me out, cancelled my membership, and gave me free weeks at the gym as a refund. I was happy! UNTIL: I realised I have been charged 6 times for a gym membership I CANCELLED In june. I emailed - no response. I called. No response. Finally got in touch with the NEW manager and he told me I didn’t cancel … and that it was my fault for not following up the cancellation… he hasn’t gotten back to me and I’ve been calling non stop . I wish I never bothered with this company.

Negative experience: I rejoined this gym which I think was my greatest mistake. I moved to the different suburb and have not signed the contract after rejoining the gym and they are not ready to cancel my contract saying I am under contract and has been deducting my money every week. Also, very low communication, no reply to emails. Please don’t go to this gym. Not recommended.

Negative experience: Has plenty of good equipment and space, some equipment is older but thats fine. There are items that clearly have been lost and forgotten still laying around the gym & taking up space on the provided shelves. Lights in the bathrooms are missing and broken so you are getting changed basically in the dark. Just came in today to find one of the toilets in the worst state I have ever seen, I understand its the weekend but this was truly repulsive. I only come here because it’s convenient but I think I will start to look elsewhere. Exit: I came in two days after posting this review to find sewerage coming up from the toilets and shower drains. The place smells terrible. Avoid.

Negative experience: The dirtiest gym I've ever been to - i've been multiple times recently and there have been no sanitiser wipes available to wipe down equipment. Pretty poor, please fix it to make your paying customer feel safe and comfortable. The equipment is old and needs updating, but that I can live with.

Negative experience: Still find it unbelievably that anytime fitness is as big of a franchise as it is considering how awful the quality of service is. Despite experiencing days of 35 degrees or above the gym remained incredibly hot with no air conditioning appearing to be in use. Equipment is also lacking and seems to be very little consideration put into women attending the gym as majority of products are for upper body strength, very little for cardio or core strength. Bathrooms are also disgusting and when attempted to cancel my membership no attempt was made to get back to me, I also continued to be charged at the end of my contract still yet to hear back for them with a refund of my money for being charged outside of my agreed amount. Would heavily recommend no women join this gym as it lacks not only services but consideration and a supportive culture among it's members.

Fantastic experience: Gym has been improving a lot lately, free gym classes offered are fantastic would definitely recommend taking part in them. Bathrooms are still dirty but not that bad (I think a lot of customers don’t treat them properly, so not the gyms fault). Staff are very friendly and weekly draw to win free PT sessions is great. The gym is large and theirs always equipment available.

Negative experience: The gym is ok. Not the best gym I’ve been to. Facilities are sometimes not connected so tv sometimes not working. The car park in the back could use some light as it’s very dark, and pretty dangerous for a chick to be honest. I go after work and there’s usually no one there to help. Could do great with some new equipment I think. It still cheap and does the trick though. Air conditioning is not operating properly as it’s always too hot in there. Fans are never on. Staff aren’t welcoming, you don’t even get a hello. Sometimes I want to ask for help, but I find they’re so hard to approach so I don’t. Cleanliness can definitely improve with more sanitary wipes around. My partner got sick a few times from the gym equipment.

Positive experience: Large gym with decent equipment and enough space to move around. Usually no wait times for equipment. Atmosphere in the gym is very anonymous and people leave you in peace and a generally respectful of your privacy (which happens to be important to me). The personal coaches seem knowledgeable and nice in case you need one. The weight racks and the leg press need to be installed permanently as the happen to move around a lot and staff doesn't seem to care enough to fix the issue regularly. In general staff doesn't walk around to interact with customers or to clean up the gym a bit. Bathroom maintenance is a joke. Two out of the three hand dryers for example have not been working for about 2 to 3 years. Toilets are frequently clogged. It took well over a year to fix a leaking water fountain too. This simply isn't a good look...

I can put up with filthy bathrooms & no aircon but when the front door won’t even open, that’s the last straw. You’ve got one job & that’s to be open!!!! 24/7 gyms are everywhere now so do yourself a favour & look somewhere else. You can do better.

Negative experience: I had a full year of membership last year, and now I want to continue with six months of membership, but I was told that I could not handle it for 6 months, however, I did it at another anytime fitness!

Negative experience: I took the contract for 6 months and these guys have been debiting money from My account its been past 6 months and I didnt realize until this morning when my money was debited again and its been already like 8 months. I made sure when I took the contract it was for 6 mnths I told them I would be going interstate probably. But I called these guys and asked for a refund they refused to give me any refunds its hard earned money that They are taking away from my account. they have ruined my day and am struggling with the little money that I am left with. And no one is cooperating with me at all

Negative experience: Early member. Have watched the gym degrade due to negligence for years. Dirty toilets. 2 out of 4 hand dryers dysfunctional for years. Water cooler doesn't cool. Air conditioner only cools conditionally. Equipment out of maintenance. Equipment not bolted down. Door/sensor has barely worked for years. Today it didn't work at all.

Positive experience: The bathrooms are pretty gross and sometimes have used steroid syringes laying around but serously, we're here because it's cheap not because it's good otherswise we'd all be at Coburg Leisure Centre.

Negative experience: Great range of equipment. BUT... bathroom and showers filthy. Air con never works or is not on. Place smells. Management never answer the phone or respond to emails.

Positive experience: Why are the exercise balls ever pumped up?! Soo annoying would prob give five stars otherwise. The PTs are super nice and the place has a good amount of equipment.
