Negative experience: I enjoyed the time I used the gym, but when I had to cancel it was a problem. They NEVER told me I had to give 30 days notice. I had to cancel because I was leaving Australia. I spoke to them face to face, explained my situation and they still charged me extra even though I didn't use the gym. They are great at selling, and deceive you when you need to cancel.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness stafford is a great gym. Anyone looking to up there level of fitness or life in general should join this gym, the 2 receptionists are amazing and so are the PT's. Fantastic experience: Really enjoying coming into the gym everyday, the community is so great and welcoming and I have made some great friends. I like how it's so open and plenty of natural light too. The classes are so great too and absolutely the hot yoga and yoga classes. It's always clean, the staff are helpful and always feel motivated to work out with the great vibe of the gym!

Fantastic experience: What an epic gym! This gym has everything you need regardless of what fitness goals you are pursuing… cardio, strength, functional fitness, classes, fantastic personal trainers, a truly wonderful gym manager & even a sport remedial masseuse! Corrine is incredible at what she does, whether it be motivation, advice with training, tips to get the most out of your session or just listening! Darcy is also a fantastic go to for inspiration with workouts and super helpful & kind. Great mix of members and a fantastic gym team! Surrounding yourself with high quality people results in high quality outcomes! 5 Stars!

Fantastic experience: Such a large lovely gym with a upbeat atmosphere. Great equipment. Phenomenal staff. My personal opinion is that it is the best AF in Queensland - I have tried many of them. The size and space is top tier and the upstairs allows difference dynamics within the gym. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Excellent club. Great facilities. Plenty of room (so many places cram their equipment too close together). In particular the staff and trainers there are wonderful. Everyone is very friendly which makes a big difference to the club. Corinne works really hard to create a nice atmosphere. Joel’s classes are brilliant. Really enjoy training there.

Fantastic experience: To be honest it is the place I am the best version of myself. I feel more confident in my own skin and more loved than any other place. Constantly being hyped up on Instagram and having amazing interactions with Liam and Corrine on the team. As a curvier person who’s tryna work on herself mentally and physically it’s the place I feel at home and have for a few years now ♥️

Fantastic experience: I haven’t had a chance to go very much since I signed up but when I have been, the gym is great, the thought that has gone into making the most effective workout area is amazing and management is fantastic and often check in to see how progress is going and to see how I’m going, which might seem small but it makes me want to keep going back!

Positive experience: This gym is lovely. While perhaps a smidge pricier than some other gyms, it’s well worth it — the group classes that come with the plan are a godsend, and I personally love its boxing and circuit classes. The staff are lovely — a personal factor in my joining was the fact that the Stafford gym outlet is managed by women. The manager in particular is a joy to talk to, and the staff clearly want the best outcomes for their clients. It’s a lovely feeling when you’re cheered on. The only issue I’ve had in my time here was an accidental early fee charge via the system, but the fee was quickly credited to my membership and the staff were sincerely apologetic for the mishap. Overall, I absolutely recommend checking this gym out if you’re planning on starting your fitness journey or need a new place to train.

As mentioned when you first visited the club, we don't offer trials however, we have a 7 day cooling off period. As per your request we cancelled your membership down during this time meaning there were no further fees attached to cancelling. As explained during the set up process and written in the membership agreement we went through with you and emailed to you, the key tag is the only part that is non-refundable. We are glad you were able to find use for the tag by giving it to your friend when they joined our Hamilton branch. The 12-month membership was the membership you had opted for when we ran you though various options. Fantastic experience: I have been a member since it first opened on a foundation membership and Anytime fitness Stafford has always been very clean and tidy. The staff and trainers are always up for a chat and are actually interested to see how your day is going as well as helping out with your training fundamentals. The manager Danielle goes above and beyond for her members by supplying hair ties, Bobby pins and sanitary items as well as deodorant for when you leave your own at home. Great club with a good vibe!

Negative experience: Guys don’t join anytime fitness .The worst experience I ever had in my life with this health club . After finishing my contract I requested to cancel my membership .They sent me an email of cancellation and cleared all my dues but still my membership was active and they forwarded my details to debt collectors and e collect that I owe 500$ .when I am following up with them regarding my cancellation they are not responding to any of my emails and no solution on phone as well .I ended up by paying 500$ very obvious that I don’t want to effect my credit score .Highly not recommended.

Negative experience: One month free trial is a total scam. You can only sign up for the trial if you provide your bank details. They tell you that you’ve got 2 weeks to decide whether you want to opt out, or continue onto a contract. Less than 7 days into my “free trial” I had $60 deducted from my account (funny because the same thing happened when I did the free-trial at Toombul a few years ago). I was reassured it was an accident and that i’d be refunded pending head office approval. I was told on three occasions the refund would be processed the next time they process refunds (Wednesdays). 4 months later and never received anything.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership with anytime Fitness at the end of last year by going Into the gym and paying a cancellation fee. Without hearing anything from them I received a final notice for debt collection in the mail. Correspondence with the debt collection agency was easy, but anytime was incredibly disorganised and apparently had no record of a transaction. After providing proof of a transaction they still seemed to have no idea what was going on and sounded as though they didn't even have an account for me, yet trying to collect a debt. Last I called them they had told me the debt collection agency was notified that this has been finalised and closed. When I contacted the agency he said he hadn't heard from them yet. Today I've heard from the agency that it is finalised and closed. The building and equipment is really good, but if you're thinking of joining here I'd advise not wasting your time and money. Join a different branch or another gym that has better staff able to properly communicate and know what they're doing.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love the yoga classes at Stafford AF with Francis, Helen and the other lovely ladies that take them, early morning and afternoon / evening classes, if you haven't already tried any of these classes get onto it, really enjoy my me time

Negative experience: Expensive for what it is. My home club was Toombul however after the flooding of the shopping centre I had to come here. After home club membership was transferred they had notified me that they were going to change my weekly payments to $3 more per week. Being with anytime fitness for 5 years + you’d think they’d do more to try and keep a customer however they were not willing to back down in pricing claiming that it was the cheapest on offer and cheaper than rates being given. Cancelled it due to ridiculous pricing and switched to Goodlife in Lutwyche for more than $5 a week discount. Shop around for your gym memberships as goodlife worlds and I’m sure other gyms are cheaper than this home club and offer more.

Negative experience: This is hands down the worst experience I have had at an Anytime Fitness club and I have been an Anytime Fitness member for approximately 8 years and trained regularly at 9+ clubs in that time. The owner of this franchise towards the end of last year increased my weekly rate by $5 per week (a 30% increase!), without any notice (despite there being a 30 day notice clause in the contract) claiming this was due to the rising costs of running a gym. The managers of the gym subsequently disclosed that the increase was only due to the membership having come out of contract and then repeatedly tried to force my partner and I to sign new 18 month contracts for a 'discounted rate' (that was higher than our previous rate). The management staff evidently have no idea how a contract works and at one point they even told me they couldn't locate my contract because it was so old so they would just refer to clauses out of their new template contracts (that are not part of my signed contract). The gym is dirty, things don't get fixed (one of the lights was recently a strobe light for about a week), members leave weights lying around everywhere. There's a new club manager every other week so they never know what they're doing and the customer service is appalling. I cancelled my membership with Anytime over a month ago (to join World Gym Stafford, which is conveniently on the other side of the same carpark and costs me $6 per week less) and have been requesting a statement of my account with Anytime ever since which is seemingly too hard for them to do. I would not recommend joining this gym to anyone. If I could give 0/5 stars I would. It's a shame because most other Anytime Fitness' I have been to over the years have been fantastic.

We have recently had a whole new management change and whilst we may have slipped in the past in certain areas, I promise we will be better at looking after our members needs in the future to continue growing a community of like minded individuals, not just a gym.

Negative experience: If it was possible for a zero star, I would have selected it. I signed up for this gym because my old one was too expensive and I also wanted a place where I could work out with my partner after work. I signed a 6 month contract straight away with a verbal clause that said they would only sign me up for 6 months and I could cease payments at anytime and during the period I could ring and cease payments while I was away for work. First 2 months was amazing until I left for work. Since then I have not used this gym and they are still charging my account. I was in this contract from June until December and they have clearly continued to roll me into a new contract without my permission. The staff are terrible at communication and find excuses to take your money and not help develop their customers. They do not respond well and struggle to answer even basic questions. I would go to any other gym in this local area or do yourself a favour and drive an extra 10-15 minutes to reach another Anytime Fitness. Where I have seen reviews that highlight their importance on customer relationships inside and outside the gym. Reading some reviews on Google and other websites, their "new management staff, are working hard to resolve all issues" is clearly either not a new management staff or they are just grabbing every cent they can. Emailing this company has not worked as I have sent 5 emails every day this week and have still yet to receive a reply. I have also rung twice where I was asked would I like to sign up. Absolutely ridiculous

Negative experience: Was a member for just over a year and unfortunately due to health reasons I had to cancel my membership. I called and emailed and requested it be cancelled and was told i just needed to wait 30 days notice but was told it was all sorted. So I cancelled and waited the 30 days notice. After the 30 days they charged me again. So I contacted there email multiple times until I got a response saying it was never cancelled and they would do that now. I then had to keep emailing about the refund and waiting over a week to get any replies. It has been over a month since the 30 days notice and I still have not received my refund. Very unprofessional and very bad communication from this business. I will not be returning.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the management here at Anytime Fitness Stafford. Communication was very poor when I expressed that I need to cancel my membership due to a severe injury, the woman on the other end pushed and pushed for it to be put on hold instead. It was a battle to clearly express that I was not coming back from this injury and when talking on the phone again it seemed to be put on hold and NOT cancelled. I have been charged the last several months for this membership that I have not been using and still am being charged. I tried contacting the gym recently to get this rectified and a refund. To which the male I was put into contact with showed no empathy and was not helpful at all. I was told the freeze was complimentary as if I was meant to thank them, when I Cleary expressed there was no coming back due to injury. Quite disappointed, out of work due to injury, on support and this gym shows no compassion to even give a refund due to there communication error.

Positive experience: I've been an Anytime Fitness member for the past 5 or so years. This gym in Stafford is definitely one of the nicer anytimes around. Facilities are new and we'll maintained, and the standard of equipment is good. What I have a problem with... After your membership is domiciled to this gym, your fees go up as it is a "premium facility". In reality the gym offers nothing extra for the average user. The only reason I can see as to why I am being charged more, is because of the asthetic of a new facility. This is not a good business model... Can you imagine going to Macca's, and paying extra for a big Mac on the south side, because you went to a newer Macca's?? There is no reward for brand loyalty, I will most likely change gyms in the next 12 months.
Negative experience: I recently moved to the area and checked out Anytime Fitness as I was very interested in joining, however I still had some time remaining at my previous gym so I wanted to finish that first. During my visit I was told to put down my number as a "sign in" for covid-19, since that day I have been called and texted relentlessly with people trying to sign me up. I have continually told them to stop and to take me off their list, but they continue to contact me. Although I was initially going to I will not be joining this gym due to this complete lack of professionalism.

Negative experience: Don’t sign up here. The guy I signed up with locked me in for way longer than I said and the new management will literally never let you go. There are so many gyms without this inhumane lock-in contract policy. Especially now during Covid I’d not take a chance on this one. Avoid the mistake I made - go to a gym without lock in contracts!

Negative experience: WILL CHARGE YOU....ANYTIME! SAVE YOURSELF...DO NOT FALL IN THE TRAP OF SIGNING UP FOR ANY MEMBERSHIP PLANS!! Very neat facility when it started with lifetime preferential rates for first signups right at time of launch. Charlotte was great. Great marketing campaign and social media videos with every care taken to ensure that potential member does not feel its one of the usual gym membership traps. Manager tells you that no direct debits during freezes, you can freeze indefinitely..as many times as you want....and whenever you want... after all it's "your gym" since you are a lifetime member......"its a lifestyle" she said. From a wonderful customer service, smiling management that WANTED you to be there....in few months we have a new management that tells customers that they should have read the fine print, your lifetime membership is 12 months contract actually that renews so that you automatically are liable for another 12 months fees whether you want or not (Huh!!), and freedom to freeze indefinitely is actually restricted to 3 months, they can automatically start debiting your account without intimation. The lifetime membership was a façade and you owe the gym fees worth 12 months....use or no use (double Huh!!). icing on the cake....after paying for NOT using the facility, you pay for one month to terminate else they will keep charging you (notice period....same as your job....its so simple....what will they do with an empty incline bench for one month). In my case the previous manager confirmed and refunded debits during freeze and the next one completely refused to even discuss (gym can take money...who cares about a member asking logical questions...too bad you gave account details). If you question why no intimation or email about restarting direct debits, the manager who just sent you an email will tell you that its YOUR fault that your email id is not updated in THEIR system. (It doesn't matter that they were interacting with you on that very same trail mail for more than 1 year....or actually they manage their system, not you......don't talk logic please). Their regular SMSes of membership being on hold and no direct debits have no meaning (god knows who in the team sends SMS...its not their job to track such things). Manager told me, I am a special case and she has never encountered any member who does not understand or does not read contract (I hold a diploma in law BTW but so stupid of me to question their legal team that drafted the fine print for exactly this purpose....damned are all those who did not go for a professional legal review while signing up for a gym membership). Rest of the reviews here tell me that I am not the only one. (Maybe they have one manager per similar situation....or probably she want to make me feel special....think positive). Extremely rude call from manager tells you to basically cough it up (not really because they will just take it from your account...freeze...no freeze...doesn't matter). If you want to complain, manager will give you a mail id that belongs to.....drum roll...their generic sales team! Head Office is no good as they kneel to Franchisee dictum, (disgruntled member is not worth the time). Just lost about $ 400 but hopefully direct debits will now stop. Complete U turn on all aspects of what was promised to you in the campaign. After all, its your mistake you fell for it! Local community pages are filled with people trying to sell this lifetime membership option, but with gym closures.....hard to offload your direct debit to someone else....even for free. Mail id given as a response to this review is same as the one on which mails were exchanged. Conscious effort by management to make people give rating to keep it above 4. PS: I still gave it a positive spin. Being in franchising business with an international brand, we are converting it into a case study on how customer relationships / feedbacks can be better managed. If a gym refuses membership for not giving direct debit details, take that as a huge red flag.

Negative experience: Started of great with a friendly welcome, but Unfortunately ended with a sour taste... I had to relocate for work, and due to circumstance, was unable to visit any of the facilities. From my experience, most Gyms have been more than accommodating, with membership cancellations, however Anytime fitness Stafford was holding me accountable to pay 50% of what I had left on a 12 month membership, even though when I joined, it wasn't explained properly. I take responsibility for not reading my contract in full, but I would have through a little more assistance wasn't much to ask as the customer.. specially when I put forward some feedback on the communication to the new Manager, only to hear that they had been receiving similar responses. Lessons learnt..

Negative experience: Signed up late last year, was told a PT will contact me, have been waiting over a month now, still no contact by the supposed 3 PTs. Charlotte is rude and won’t accept any responsibility. Orientation didn’t happen but suppose to go in not knowing what to do, liability girls! Felt like a number! Go to Chermside AF, they’ve won my business, the guys were more then helpful and I have my orientation next week!

Fantastic experience: Very well equipped gym. Shame about the number of people not using towels or wiping down equipment. The lack of respect for others and poor hygiene was very much evident by a few.

Positive experience: Since opening early this year they have transformed into a prime workout hub for all, catering multiple cardio machines like treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical and spin bikes. Also offers a weights platform and many many more. Usually hosts fitness classes but has become restricted/limited for the meantime due to the current circumstances around the globe. All that aside this gym listens to members requests for new features and equipment. Like all Anytimes you can use your pass to visit all other gyms of the same name. P.s. good luck trying to walk past the new restaurants adjoining the complex without trying something! Support your locals fam.
