Negative experience: I tried to cancel over the phone and for the last three months they had been deducting money and then returning the money. Then taking $11 a month to then $30 a month. The gym is stink hole and it's staff know they just need a job obviously. I went two times to know, I dont ever want to return. A dog park smells better.

Negative experience: The staff here are anything but welcoming. There are so many issues with this gym, the primary being the memberships. When requesting a cancellation, I was spoken to in a very rude manner over the phone by Sofie which I don't think was warranted at all. This treatment further reiterated my reasonings for cancelling and I hope that others do not have the same experience as I did. My experience at this gym has been incredibly frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would strongly advise anyone considering a membership to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other gyms that offer better facilities, friendlier staff, and a more pleasant workout environment.

Positive experience: Wish it open earlier so can go before work!

Positive experience: The people who work there 5/5 stars. This review is for the facilities. I haven’t attended many times however when i do, its the facilities that really put me off coming here. The yoga class heater is poor. Very cold. The women’s change/toilets are really average. On par with public facilities in parks. The sauna is just unusable due to smell. The smells in and around the sauna are such a put off, im suprised the gym is ok with it. Sorry but I joined for reforma pilates. The rest of the facilities are fine. I dont mean to be mean, but the gym is really dated. Its location and window views are awesome though.

Positive experience: Would love for the awful music to be turned off!!! We all have our own headphones etc and sometimes it is nice to work out in peace and quiet

Positive experience: I have been a nember of this gym for over 10 years.. for its group classes.. mainly yoga. There are a couple of wonderful yoga teachers, esp Leanne and Mel.. but there are not enough of these classes and others are not so good, ordinary and repetitive. I am now MOST concerned that Mel’s two precious 8pm classes may be cut. This would be a tragedy .. Tonight 14 People turned up for her class which was bookable on the web site but she had been told was cut, so she did not turn up.

Fantastic experience: Just a shout out to say how much I love doing the small group classes Jacob Charley and Lucas are very passionate professional and very motivating. Jacob’s 10 minute finishers or punishers as I put it are the best.

Negative experience: Really disappointing that this gym doesn't honour customer honesty. Do NOT sign up for their direct debit payments and especially don't let your children sign up. After thinking they had cancelled their membership and not having local bank access due to being overseas for an extended period, it wasn't enough to explain the situation, write emails, go through the cancellation process to provd that she had thought and she had been told that her memvership was cancelled by a staff member, and point out that she hadn't used the gym for more than 6 months - no couldn't possibly believe the customer, better to just take their money and let them spread the word - beware, no customer loyalty here, all about getting your money and Happy to loose customers. Plenty of other gyms out there that offer better customer service and experience.

Fantastic experience: Enthusiastic staff, clean and non turbo gym where everyone feels comfortable. Always cardio machines free and I like that there are weight machines in the cardio room so you can do a circuit workout without having to move room to room. Yoga and zumba classes are great.

Fantastic experience: Leanne is amazing. This has been my home for the last 17 years. My daughter and son grew up in the crèche. I did my PT training here too. My daughter trains here. Next hopefully my son when he’s old enough. Thanks to all the staff. Love you all to bits ❤️

Fantastic experience: I joined up this Winter to get in shape for Summer. This gym has such a great vibe with high quality equipment and such large spacious studios with lots of natural light including views of the park and bay. Leanne greets you on reception and is always friendly and upbeat, Shaye keeps things fun with heaps of competitions, prizes and member engagement. A huge safe car park and so different from my last gym which was just a warehouse down an industrial estate. Love it!!!

Fantastic experience: I love how much space this gym has. I never have to wait for equipment and there is such a variety of weights. Always welcomed by the staff at the front desk, which is so nice and something that you don't get everywhere. The boss lady Shaye has created a great gym atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely loved my experience at this gym! It has such a great vibe and the staff create a great atmosphere. I really like that there is a huge variety of classes, my favourite is pilates reformer. The gym itself is huge and allows so much space for free weights and pin loaded machines. I never have to wait for a treadmill. I also love the space, because you never feel crowded or in competition for a piece of equipment. I have also enjoyed my time with the PTs, they are very knowledgeable. I have always been greeted walking in and when leaving. Shaye the manager has such an amzing attitude and has made my time at the gym really enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I come from out of town so I was only here for a casual visit but the friendly staff, excellent facilities and good all round atmosphere made it a really enjoyable visit! 10/10 will be there next time.

Negative experience: Fees to get out of a contract, & further debit charges just to cancel even out of contract. Gym doesn't provide enough spaces in classes to hold up what they promise upon joining. Avoid!!!

Fantastic experience: Just joined, so far so good, have yet to use what's fully on offer, but the reason I gave it five stars was shayes (staff member) patient and persistent "above the call of duty" effort in handling the more then standard complexities of my membership. Thx again

Negative experience: I'm a member of the Williamstown club, and it's disappointing that the spa is constantly out of action. The council is often blamed, but I sense there is little motivation to have the spa fixed. Either fix these services or offer a reduction in membership to account for services being out of action.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of South Pacific Williamstown for approximately 3 years. Prior to the reopening of gyms after extended lockdown in Melbourne, I did some PT with Zach. He was well organised and had a program for me based on what I wanted to achieve. I was particularly impressed with his focus on correct technique. Once the gym opened up again I joined small group training. I appreciate the small group classes and the help provided by Zach and other coaches. There are always encouraging and offer alternatives and help as needed. There is also a good variety of classes within the gym.

Fantastic experience: South Pacific is a great facility always friendly , well equiped, loads of classes and even has small group training . All the trainers treat you as an individual - Zach is a standout - knowledgable about all aspects of the journey from fitness to diet needs.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for years and I love the variety of the group fitness classes and accomodating session times. Leanne at the front desk is always super friendly, helpful & goes above and beyond to help. Her customer service is exceptional. Today's Christmas outfit was a nice surprise haha. A huge shout out to one of the best instructors, Zona. She brings energy, fun and motivation to all her classes. Her classes have improved my fitness so much and always pushes me to improve. We are lucky to have her at Willy.

Negative experience: Hilarious if it wasn’t so bad. This place is like the hotel California. You can check out but you can never leave because no matter how many times you cancel your membership they’re still withdrawing money from your account. I recently had to change accounts for direct debit and they did it immediately at the gym over the desk. But when I tried to cancel my membership it had to be in writing. That had to go to head office to be processed. It never happened and they’re still taking dough from my account. I cancelled a second time, this time verbally. This too never happened it seems. So now I have to approach my bank to stop them from taking my money.

Negative experience: The blonde girl on the front counter is extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I will definitely not be returning here and would encourage others to do the same!

Negative experience: It’s a 30 day cancellation policy and my partner gave 37 days. There was email confirmation from Eugene the “manager” of the gym. A payment went out of our account and we tried to contact Eugene and he was always not in or on holiday. Finally got in contact with him and he said it would be refunded and it wasn’t. In a fortnight a second payment came out of our account but again we couldn’t get hold of Eugene. I spoke to Reuben on Friday 18th and was going to call me back and he didn’t. Finally Eugene called my partner today Wednesday 23rd and said he was going to pull some strings. Thanks Eugene South Pacific Williamstown reminds me of gyms a decade ago! Unfriendly and unhelpful staff and you can’t get out of contracts. Fingers crossed the money is on our account this Friday... thanks Eugene for “pulling some strings”

Negative experience: Have sent repeated requests to cancel membership. Reception staff are great but have to cancel through upper management who is not answering queries. Outside of contract with written submitted requests to cancel membership, they still continue to charge fees even though I put my membership on hold until issue is resolved. Would not recommend joining this club!!

Fantastic experience: Love this place. The creche is great, and I can train while I know that my little one is looked after by the lovely staff - Leanne and Michelle! I am so happy I joined! Classes are fun too!

Negative experience: Old and broken equipment that is seldom serviced and repaired, cleaning of them is DIY, inadequate ventilation makes working-out uncomfortable even in winter and especially in summer, windows never cleaned, half the lighting doesn't work, seriously disengaged and unorganised staff offer poor customer service, music turned off up to 35 minutes before closing to suggest you f##k off because you're not wanted here, but ONLY TOO WILLING TO KEEP CHARGING YOU, PLUS A $15 FINE IF YOUR UNANNOUNCED, ONCE-ONLY ATTEMPT AT A DIRECT DEBIT IS DECLINED. (It doesn't cost you $15 for the receptionist to attempt to punch a few buttons on the EFTPOS unit again a couple of days later.)

Negative experience: Fees for no service. Kept direct debiting for years after cancellation without a single email. A devious policy camouflaged within the inconspicuous terms and conditions. Disingenuous response to the complaint.

Negative experience: Walked in to look around and maybe join, but met with bad vibes. Gym bunny at desk said its ok to look around, but then sent security guard after me to throw me out. :".. this is private space, there are protocols, I don't just walk into your house." Fair enough, but we won't join, for sure. Very unpleasant.

Negative experience: Rip off merchants, just make sure you have everything in writing especially if you want to leave!

Negative experience: How disgusting, I have only visited this gym twice this year and have seen rats crawling around the floor in the weight room and the entrance. I took this up with the manager and he looked at me like I was an idiot. You guys better get this problem fixed sooner than later I was going to get a membership at this gym but now I’m going somewhere else that is cleaner. The hygiene is very bad here.

Positive experience: Been a member for over 20 years and things have changed heaps. Not so many cardio classes. Mainly boxing. Used to have step classes now only on Monday night and wednesday morning. I might have to let it go. Staff pleasant

Negative experience: Went to Williamstown club Saturday around lunch time to join the club with my wife, was told to leave details and come back sunday ( next day )?? how painful ..cant even join the club at piece.... Anyways I got a call sunday morning by someone asking us to come back on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon after i mentioned already we both work full time ( obviously he wasnt listenting). I then asked how about today ? person on other side said ok ..come in 20 minutes!!!! I said no we are not ready but can we come at 12 o clock ( it was 11am when I was speaking to him )? He agrees!! and we got ourselves ready and arrived 10 minutes before 12...and was told by reception to wait and he will be with you shortly ( which we were happy with ). Guy with grey beard arrived in 5 minutes ...and started the conversation with ..i was having my lunch you guys arrived early!!! he wasnt very happy at all... Well then he went through the gym and what we can do and what we cant for 1 hr...and then finally gave us a choice and numbers to look at ...$199 setup cost and $34.90 fortnightly debit per person. I questioned $199 cost and he goes we are having a promotion and I will reduce $199 to $29 per person which you have to pay upfront ...and reduce $34.90 to $31.90 per fortnight. ..plus one month free for both of us.. sounds like a deal and we both signed up ( after 1.5 hrs of one way conversation where beard guy didnt wanted to hear anything we sharing just kept going his way or highway ... ) We were tired and 8 yr old with us was distracting us too so when we went to reception to pay $29*2 = $58 , i didnt really looked and did pay pass... One week later i looked my credit card transaction listings and found crazy amounts charged by South pacific health club using two different names?? as per below: South pacific Health club $351.00 ( not sure where this charge came from ) South Pacific health Club $34.90 ( this should be $31.90 after a free month?) STH PAC HLTH $68.00 ( where this should be $58 as one off fee ), overcharged!! Called and emailed the club and funny part was they had no idea and cant trace transactions ...so I called my bank and cancelled the credit card and disputed all transactions ... Emailed the club and cancelled my membership ( was within 7 days cooling off period ...thank god ! other wise more headaches ) my advise is stay away from the club ....

Fantastic experience: Good facilities, friendly staff and a nice mix of classes for people at different fitness levels. The manager Shane has been around for ages - a rarity in a high turnover business - and takes a hands-on approach to making the club atmosphere feel welcoming and friendly.

Negative experience: This gym (williamstown) changed the timetable and cut Zumba classes from 6 to 1! There are some long term members who just love their classes. They should know demography in zumba classes. We don't like Sh'bam'! Sent email to the manager but no response. They don't care!

Negative experience: If I lived next door to this gym, had no legs and the next nearest gym was in kalgoorlie. I would pack some sangas and drag my torso across the nullabor to attend a gym with one leg press.
