Negative experience: At the time I went there (Pre Covid) Gym parking and location were good and convenient, and I had no issue with the equipment. Due to Covid the lock downs there was a freeze on accounts however mine was not frozen and they continued to charge monthly fees. I emailed them and my email went to the Bondi branch (why I still have no idea), they communicated with me via email. They apologised and advised they would refund the money, which never happened. After lockdown ended I went to the Merrylands branch and asked what happened, their resolution was "dont pay until I used the all the money that had been charged." After this I had a health issue, resulting in Dr orders no exercise, I had a medical certificate stating NO EXERCISE however they did not even bother to look at it. I was told that I had to give one months notice, which I did BUT they still charged me for another month after the noice given. In order to stop being charged I had to place a stop on my card. So the reason I am leaving this review NOW is recently I wanted to join to another Anytime fitness branch as I moved to a new location, the manager there advised if I still had the old tag I didn't have to pay for a new one as she could just call Merrylands branch to release the tag to that branch. Merrylands Branch refused to release the tag to the new branch, I heard the phone conversation as I was sitting in the office with the manager. This is why I decided to avoid Anytime Fitness completely and find a different Gym, too much drama/headaches and wasted time.

Negative experience: NOT RECOMMENDED!! Very bad management! Bad customer satisfaction and service. The only reason they push you to lock in contracts is to steal your money, as there service doesn't deserve a 1 week trial!! I had an injury months ago before my contract expired, they didn't accept to cancel my subscription unless I pay half of my contract !! The ventilation in the gym sucks !! The machines are old!! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL !!!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for over 7 months. The staff are very friendly and supportive, especially the gym Manager Steff. Coach Paul is great for advice and working out an individual program to get you into shape. It's a great workout environment regardless of your body shape or size you will feel comfortable working out at Anytime Fitness Merrylands, it's a like minded community who's focused on becoming the best version of themselves! Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I have made my membership for 2 months and paid more than $500. First month was nice. On the second month my whole nail was broken and i told them that if they can stop it then give another month vaucher or anything like that. They refused and nobody helped me with that issue. Writing this now as I have met with lady whose daughter works as a manager at another anytime fitness and she said they do anything to help their customers who is in bad situation. But those swindlers didn't help for anything. Think one more time before you go there.

From the cleanliness and tidiness of the place to the amount of equipment, and most of all, the friendly, positive vibes from everyone, and especially the staff. Joel and Nathan have been very encouraging and friendly to me and it keeps me motivated to give it my all! I could not ask for better motivators than them. Fantastic experience: Visited the gym last week monday, I was down there to see my family in Sydney, found the nearest Anytime club at Merrylands, went down there to train. I must admit when I got there I was not sure because the gym was a bit small, but the gym was so clean and the manager named Joel there approached me when I walked in and had a good chat and made sure that I had a towel and showed me around upon knowing that I was a first timer there. I have been a member with Anytime for 8 years and honestly I took time to rate this a 5 star because I was looked after great by the staff. Wish I could train there more often.

Fantastic experience: Since joining this club earlier this year, one thing I’ve noticed is that the employees and club members make you feel comfortable in the gym and give off a very family like experience. Highly recommend this club for anyone looking to start training or looking to change clubs. Can’t speak any higher of this gym 10/10

Nathan-I often see sharing his positive atmosphere not just with the gym members but I've walked past him assisting an elderly lady with her bags, informing her she can always ring the gym through reception if she ever needed a hand. Just to see something like that made me glad I was a part of this gym! Also, thank you Joel for finding my gym key that I lost. The amount of care that you guys show sets the bar super high for all the other AF branches!!

Positive experience: A big thanks to Coach Joel who kept me training (and improving) through the 8 week challenge after I sprained my ankle at work in week 4. Appreciate the help to finish as one of the most improved challengers and looking forward to continuing the training and more improvement.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness is the best Anytime Fitness gym to go to in Western Sydney. I personally don’t train there myself but I always tag along with my Mother as she has sessions with the sports psychologist “Andrew” there to help her with her legs due to her having Parkinson’s Disease. The staff at Anytime Fitness Merrylands are super friendly, approachable and are always happy to help you out with any issues or answer any questions you may have especially Joel who is super knowledgeable and Nathan who is one of the most caring guys that I’ve ever met who I personally now class a friend ☺️

Fantastic experience: I couldn't advocate for this gym more. I am someone who suffers with anxiety, and NEVER in a million years did I think I would ever go to the gym alone. The staff and environment here changed that and since my second visit, I've been gymming alone! From day 1, I felt so welcomed. There is no doubt that these people CARE. They make you feel like less of a customer and more of a whole person/ friend and to me, that's really important and such an incentive to become more active! I have the most experience with Nathan and Joel, both amazing people.Joel is a PT and both by his posts and how he treats you, you KNOW he's passionate and he works out of passion and pure love for his job more than anything else. Nathan is also great, and a very caring and genuine guy. He saw me crying during my workouts one time and called me afterwards to ask what's going on and make sure I am okay. I am telling you, if your mental health is of concern or if you want to feel cared for. Anytime Fitness Merrylands is the place to go! Its so well kept and tidy, the staff are obviously great but even some of the members who I've had conversations with have been great. It's been a game changer for me and my overall health. I love it here and if you make the change, you will too.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym, neat and welcoming with friendly and helpful Staff. Trainer Joel is amazing, he is invested in you as a client in setting goals and getting the results you want. Focuses on form and techniques, provides great workout routines that nurtures your growth. He is pleasant, easy to talk, training with him is always interesting and fun as he has great sense of humor. He is also focus and firm when it comes to workout which is something i like about him as he continuously pushes you to challenge yourself.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym one of the best in the local. Anytime Fitness Merryland by far one of the most clean and hygiene gym that I’ve visited. They have hand and wipe sanitiser available throughout the gym and professional cleaner does deep clean everyday at midnight. A medium gym has all necessary equipment for all different training, highly recommended come and visit Merrylands Anytime Fitness. Staff are very friendly and really cares about your health and safety, if you have questions regarding about training, this may the place to start your journey. Free secure undercover parking available 24/7!

Negative experience: Avoiding this branch from now on. They are selling you tissue papers for three dollars and staff members follow you everywhere to make you read covid protocols like children
