Negative experience: Safety hazard much!? Broken equipments all around the gym. Hazards fixed with tape! But… membership price keeps increasing every 6 months . Gym is old. Desperately needs a make over. Being in Mosman you’d think it’ll be A+!

Negative experience: False Advertising, Filthy Facilities, and Impossible to Escape – Do Not Join! Under No Circumstances This Fitness First location is a complete disaster from start to finish. For a gym that brands itself as “platinum,” it delivers nothing close to a premium experience. The entire facility is dirty and poorly maintained, with filthy floors, stinky bathrooms, and machines that look like they haven’t been cleaned or serviced in years. The equipment is old, often broken, and weights are scattered everywhere, giving the place a cluttered, unsafe feel. The reformer Pilates class is a joke – the instruction is amateurish at best, and there’s zero structure or value to it. Plus, the steam room is a health hazard. Members are using creams and scrubs in there, which makes the floor slippery and unsafe. Not only is it unhygienic, but it’s a serious accident waiting to happen. Clearly, no one is monitoring the facilities, and customer service is non-existent; the staff are rude, unhelpful, and act like you’re a burden just for asking basic questions. And beware – once you’re in, they make it nearly impossible to get out. Despite the awful service and conditions, you’ll be hit with hundreds in fees if you try to break your contract. If you’re stuck here and want out, I’d strongly recommend raising a complaint with Fair Trading. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place altogether – it’s not worth the hassle, the money, or the health risks.

Negative experience: The Mosman FF Gym is in dire need of investment, the equipment is falling apart, the gym area upstairs has tape all over the floor because the tiles are all coming off the floor. This is a trip hazard. All the weights are old and without labels. The gym mats are falling apart. There was a fire in the ventilation shaft a few months ago and I believe the issues causing this have not been fixed. The list goes on and on. The private equity model is not working for members of this club. It is falling apart due to lack of investment. If my PT worked elsewhere I'd follow him to a new club. He is the only reason I attend this decrepit gym. It is appalling that the incredible staff and trainers of Mosman Fitness First are treated so poorly and the working environment for them is not maintained and continuously improved.

Negative experience: cancelled my gym membership and they are still trying to charge me every week for nearly a month so far. Had to freeze my card because of it. Bunch of cowboys this company. The management at the Mosman one is an absolute disgrace. Wont respond to any of the emails sent either but quick to respond to negative comments on here. Speaks volumes. Negative experience: Run down or broken equipment, no room to exercise on and off peak times. Bathrooms not clean. Escalators always broken. Staff are friendly but would recommend using another gym.

Negative experience: I don’t give a star to this gym. Worst manager to deal with. He never returned phone calls but force to use emails and emails were confusing about refunds made to ‘account’ that you can never use. They messed up my membership payments during my long sick period. After providing Dr certificate he still charged me $10 freeze membership fee (only applies to freeze membership for holidays) He has no sympathy but treat you like a number, this influenced staff member’s attitude. Eventually he agreed to issue temporary membership card (a paper card) as refund rather than refund full amount into the account they originally charged for ( only refund portion). I suffered one month inconvenience using this paper card which other gym branches did not recognise and I have to explain the painful reasons each time.

Negative experience: Dirty run-down gym and poorly run. The changing rooms are mouldy and stinky. I lost my access pass and it took four months to get a replacement meaning I had to report to reception every day to get a temporary pass, and when no one was there, I had to go home. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a gym. Once my 18-month contract expired, I discovered a 30-day notice period to cancel, so I asked for this waving in light of not having access to the gym for a long time. No chance, I was completely dismissed. This gym is just a short-sighted money grab with no investment in upkeep and no care for customer experience. Avoid at all costs, or don’t sign a long-term contract and get trapped as I did.

Negative experience: Avoid. I was missold a 12 month fixed contract. I was told it was a fixed term but they continued to charge me after this period. After them being incredibly unhelpful I cancelled payment. They are now trying to use a collection agency. If they contact me again I will report to Fair Trading and ACCC

Negative experience: putting a towel on a bench then wondering to the other side of the gym to use other equipment is standard behaviour here and staff members turn a blind eye to it. Even during peak hours. Its absolutley filthy, the staff dont care in the slightest about the customers

Negative experience: Last Sunday morning at the gym felt more like stepping into a sauna. When I asked two receptionists if the air conditioner was broken, the response was less than reassuring: “Err, I don’t know, looks like it! Have a look downstairs and let me know.” The lack of concern was disappointing, to say the least. The classes are the gym’s saving grace. However, if you need to use the machines, be prepared for frustration. The floor is often dirty, the water station is mouldy, and some members, along with personal trainers, seem to feel entitled to reserve machines with towels, even during peak hours. I’m counting down the days until my membership ends.

Fantastic experience: Great service from Connor on the front desk and Simon the manager. Helpful and great follow up on my issue. The new pilates studio is really good with lots of times available. Good booking system as well.
Positive experience: I enjoy the classes here however customer service is consistently terrible. I’ve had various instances over the years where I have tried, and failed, to resolve issues both over the phone and email, and have raised problems in person with reception multiple times which were left unresolved for months. Just this week I called the gym and spoke to a team member AND left a voice mail to reception trying to cancel a class and I was still charged for the class as reception failed to cancel it despite this. Very disappointing!

Positive experience: I have been a member for over 20 years and sadly within that time it has deteriorated significantly. The primary point of concern is the amount of schoolboys that hog the equipment in large groups on their phones videoing ea other. There are schoolboys aged 14 to 16 constantly there in prime time and 14 yr olds aren’t meant to use fee weights but they do. They dont put weights away, they don’t use towels and they are rude if you dare to ask how many more sets? Then we have the girls dance school the dance teacher doesn’t monitor the students waiting they are left to sit on the gym floor eating and jumping around in gym training areas with their bags strewn around randomly. It’s a gym not a schoolyard. You complain to management and nothing happens. The cleanliness is terrible… they have promised to up the cleaning but it doesn’t appear to be the case. Equipment maintenance is also a low priority ie spin bikes , weight equipment. The classes seem to be disappearing as we speak on any given long weekend we have classes cancelled randomly from Thursday to the Monday of any given long weekend? I do want to compliment the front Desk boys who are always polite, welcoming and friendly but they don’t have the delegations to sort out the schoolboys or dance school kids. That’s the managers role. The boys are sweet and do what they can. I always feel welcome and part of the fitness community there from reception. There are 2 girls I have seen there at times Ange and Ava who are also top notch. It’s a platinum club and it certainly isn’t living up to that title.

Negative experience: Just as everyone else has said. Do not trust this gym. The workers here will lie to your face to get you to sign a contract. If you wish to cancel a contract, they will not pick up their phones. Do NOT sign any contract unless the EXACT agreement they gave you is down on writing. They will go against their word. Joe is a liar, and will say whatever to get you to sign something. This place is akin to car dealerships.

Fantastic experience: 18ヶ月契約。週$23で入会金は$0。クーポンコードの所にAutmunと入力してたので多分秋キャンペーン適用してもらった。 パーソナルトレーナーのレッスンを2回$48で付けられたので英語でレッスン受けてみたいのと暫くプライベートジムに通ってなかったのでフォームチェックもして貰いたくエクストラ。 ここはサウナ付きで水風呂はないけど清潔で良い空間。 Gはマシン、1Fはレセプションと更衣室、2Fはダンスと有酸素マシン。

Negative experience: Broken Spin bikes. How many broken spin bikes. Even the instructors at their whits end. Now FF have printed and laminated a sign for the bikes that computers don’t work. HUH. Is that not why we pay for Platinum

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible customer service from Fitness First Mosman. I have attempted to cancel my membership for over 2 months with multiple calls and emails. The phone will ring for over 20 minutes and no one ever picks up. I had to contact a different Fitness First to action this, and they were so helpful. Really disappointing and poor service from this franchise.
Negative experience: One of the worst fitness first I’ve ever been to. The employees are rude and the PT’s are entitled, rushing people off the machines so they can use them, then reserving 4 machines for supersets. If you want to work out expect to be interrupted by a PT, ‘correcting your form’ or hurrying you off a machine - in which half the machines are broken or being fixed. Even when bringing issues to the attention of front desk workers they are unhelpful. Would not recommended this gym and have many friends and family who have had similar experiences.
Positive experience: This gym has a great layout and selection of gym equipment however the standard of care and maintenance is disappointingly low. There are always dumbbells, mats and other items of equipment strewn around the floors for weeks at a time and there are multiple fixtures that haven’t been serviced ie pulled up floorboards, rotting ceilings and mirrors stuck together with tape. The staff here are so lovely and inviting but I really suggest upper management put more effort into the standards of the gym.
Negative experience: Old equipment including ones with “out of order” signs. Despite requests over months from us members, no fixing.. floor space limited especially when private fitness groups in place.
Negative experience: The place is really dirty. They never clean the bathroom either. If one of the machines breaks, it delays weeks to get fixed. And the air conditioning is never turned on too.

Fantastic experience: I love this Fitness First gym. A little bit different from others I have been to. Better and with a more personal touch! Mitchell on the front desk is really friendly, helpful in setting up my membership. I have been in the UK for the last year and he even remembered the rate I was on and welcomed me back. I love all the classes. In particular the weekend yoga classes with Graham. I probably joined just because I love his class and style. Highly recommend joining. Great team!
Negative experience: Ex member: signed up to mosman despite living on the northern beaches. Called the gym 40 times, never once answered. Told I was still on contract many times despite finishing my contract. Never given a straight answer when my contract finished. Wasted hours and hours. A pyramid style system where you are given the run around, despite paying them thousands. Do yourself a favour don't sign a contract with these guys. No service.
Fantastic experience: I have recently returned to Fitness First and am so glad that I did. I always enjoy the facilities at my local FF and appreciate how easy Simon made it for me to return. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: It has a really friendly vibe. Staff are lovely and the gym has a completely varied clientele making it very accommodating. It is on the smaller side but has everything you want and need and never too many issues getting on equipment.
Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted by the racism and bullying I experienced at Fitness First Mosman from the “Pilates instructor” called Suzy C. Please do not do Reform Pilates in this branch as this instructor hit my leg with force during a class to achieve a pose, knowing I wasn’t feeling the best that day and was very rude and condescending to me in front of a whole class on another occasion. It is a shame that fitness first Mosman do not treat such issues of potential physical aggression seriously. Please attend other reform Pilates classes if you want a peaceful session without staff that bully and I would recommend cancelling membership at mosman.
Positive experience: Good range of equipment but a lot of wear and tear. The main gym floor is a sauna, they refuse to turn on the aircon all year round. They took their Spotify playlist straight from a 14 year old girl going through her first break up

Negative experience: I wish I had read the reviews before joining it, as I was sent incorrect contract and all the info shared via phone was not matched in any new email or written confirmation. Such has been the case that I sent almost 10 emails and attempted many calls to this club and none of them was addressed. Luckily, I got everything sorted by North Sydney centre in just no time. Beware any new member before you join this club.
Negative experience: Space is spread out over a couple of floors but very little actual room to complete a workout. Equipment has seen better days for what they are charging. Also if you need to cancel your membership, don’t click the “cancel membership” prompts when you call them they won’t pick up the phone and allow it to ring out everytime. Not surprisingly, if you click you are wanting to sign up they pick up straight away!

Negative experience: I have had a terrible experience with Mosman Fitness First. I contacted the club about trying out their gym, and was signed up with one month free so I could try the gym and told I could cancel during this time if I changed my mind. I attended a Reformer Pilates class and was very disappointed - the class was led by a video on TV screens and the instructor present at the class did not assist at all. The video did not allow enough time to move from one activity to another, so by the time you put the straps down/ changed springs/ changed positions you had missed an entire exercise. The video instructions provided limited explanation, and the instructor present did not provide any feedback on correct form or safe use of the reformer, just repeated what was on the TV screen. There is also only a general "Reformer Pilates" class - there is no differentiation for beginners vs advanced, or a more relaxed style vs a more HIIT style of class. As Reformer classes were the main reason I had joined this gym, I sent an email to cancel my membership within the 7 day cooling off period, as is my right as per the membership contract. I did not hear back, and over the course of over a month had to send 8 emails to the manager to follow up. During this time 2 payments were taken out of my account even though I had requested a cancellation WEEKS prior. I called at least 10 times, and it seemed no matter what time I called the manager was out and couldn't take my call. It was suggested I come into the gym to speak to the manager, so I checked over the phone what time they would be in on a Saturday and went into the gym. When I arrived I was told the manager doesn't work weekends, and I needed to come in between 8AM-12PM on a weekday - impossible for anyone that works full time! I eventually got through to him on the phone and was able to get my membership cancelled, and apparently my refund has been "requested" but I have not received any formal confirmation of this. It is ridiculous that only one person in the gym can process cancellations, especially when that person appears to barely be present at the gym to do so. It should not have taken over a month to reply to a simple email, and there definitely should not have been any payments taken out when I had cancelled my membership well within the cooling-off period. The reception staff I spoke to numerous times were very kind, and it was not their fault that the systems in place at the gym didn't allow them to help with my enquiry. I would not recommend this gym to anyone after seeing what poor quality the Reformer Pilates classes are and after my awful experience dealing with the management of this gym.
Fantastic experience: Fitness first mosman is amazing and it all comes down to Connor. Connor greets everyone at the door with such enthusiasm that I often wait until he starts his shift as his motivating greeting gives me enough inspiration that I can i skip my pre workout, which actually saves me money! (Thanks Connor) But this is what makes Fitness first mosman so unique, people like Connor, who take a holistic approach to fitness rather than just try get you to sign up to the gym. When I was first getting into to the gym, I was putting too much weight on my bench press, going for a 1rm of 140kg. Very luckily, as I lifted it off the rack, Connor had been doing a routine inspection of the gym floor on his break, which he likes to stay involved even when not working! Connor saw me lift off this weight, and, as a trained sports scientist, calculated the weight was to much for my frame. I had a similar realisation as the weight came down on me, I couldn’t get it up! Connor unfortunately was already carrying a dumbbell that was left on the other side of the gym (cleaning up on his break time, amazing) and there is a no dropping weights policy if it’s not in the free weight area, so, carrying the 40kg dumbell in one hand, connor sprinted over, and caught the barbell that was about to crush me in the other hand! I luckily escaped with no injuries, and, as connor also is an expert in all forms of movement, he was prepared to catch that weight and also received no injuries. Furthermore, Connor is an active member of the community, which assists him in connecting with those who go to fitness first. Oh, the amount of times I have heard people say “Connor! Why don’t you run for Council? You would be so good at representing the communities needs!” He always responds that his top priority is the clients of Fitness first, and he could never abandon him. Furthermore, Connor actually understands that for optimum muscle growth, stress must be reduced, and so during extremely difficult uni terms, connor would do 15 minutes of tutoring while I am warming up, so i felt more prepared for my exams. This both added 1 inch to my biceps and ensured a high distinction in all my classes!
Negative experience: One star is far too generous. I have been trying to cancel my membership for weeks now and have been constantly let down by management - no one has returned my messages and emails to enact the cancellation and it’s almost impossible to get through to them over the phone. I never received a copy of my contract in the first place, despite asking several times. The weekend yoga classes which I joined for are appalling - the yoga teacher chatters incessantly for the duration of the class and is far below the standard one would expect. Beware of joining this establishment - not sure if they are just very disorganised or intentionally dishonest and unprofessional.

Negative experience: I'm a long time member of Mosman, in all my years as a member the gym has never been in such disrepair. Nearly all machines have some maintenance issue which never seem to get rectified even though the very "incapable" maintenance man is there every Monday. As for Simon the manager and his "hands off" approach, that is about as kind as I could possibly be about his management method. The gym would improve immediately with the removal of these two employees. Four emails sent to head office this month with complaints! Not one reply from the "we don't care management". You guys should be ashamed! this used to be the leading gym in Australia.
Negative experience: They are tottaly lost when it comes to payments, terms and contracts. They even don't know their own rules. One person from staff contradicts another person from the same team. Be VERY careful signing contract. Make sure the date for first and last payment is set up in system, otherwise they will be charging you indefinitely. Freezing account is not free as they claimed at reception, website says differently. Total mess or just a dodgy bussiness model.
Positive experience: Is always pretty busy but nice gym and staff is always friendly.
Negative experience: Very disappointed with the way a manager calls Simon from Mosman has handled my membership transfer. He ignored all my calls and emails and didn’t want to see me when I went to the gym to talk to him. Must also say that all other staff have been very friendly and tried to help me in many occasions .

Fantastic experience: Loved it here!! Great range of kit, nice layout and good location. Plus Simon was amazing! What a guy. So so helpful in getting us the best priced membership for what we needed. He helped us on multiple days always doing his best to make sure we had everything we neeeded. Very clean changing facilities and we got some free bags so who can complain. Always a decent workout with lovely management at Mosman fitness first.
Negative experience: Messy gym floor with weights just left everywhere. Mostly old machines too. Disappointing amount of plate loaded leg machines. Bathroom facilities are great though.

Negative experience: Fitness first used to be a great gym if you like group classes. Now all the Pilates classes and similar have been scrapped and replaced by reformer classes you can only access if you add the cost of accessing these reformer classes to your membership So if you want to do Pilates mostly, change gym as they don’t offer these group classes anymore
Negative experience: Absolutely pathetic service . Took up membership on the 2/10/22 and told the person to cancel it at the end of Oct 22 however continue to be charged for service not being used . Can’t get through the manager despite calling 9 times however the manager keeps sending messages though the reception advising that membership will be cancelled and no further debits will take place beyond Oct 22. My account continues to be charged and no calls returned by the manager at fitness first Mosman.

Positive experience: Fitness First Mosman has pretty much everything. I use mostly the weights on the lower floor and I love it. I rarely use the functional aera upstairs but I see that they have a quite good range of equipment.
Negative experience: If you want to have a decent experience with a decent gym, do not join this club. The staff are only friendly and helpful when they want you to sign up. After that, good luck with any kind of service from staff. Now I can't even cancel my membership after making multiple phone calls and emails, absolute disgrace.
Positive experience: Facilities are very good - the admin and management are a whole another story, completely non responsiveness. They have turned it into an art form. Numerous emails and multiply phone calls re sorting out payment issues and no response. Its almost an exercise regime in its self with all the running around between head office - then to the billing company and then back to head office - then to the gym and the merry go round continues Have been a member for over 20 years, they make orgs like Telstra and Qantas have awesome back offices. Fantastic experience: Having recently returned to Australia I rejoined Fitness First in Mosman. The experience has been excellent. The trainer I was allocated has been really helpful and is very conscious of my goals, abilities and any injuries that I had. An all round good experience.
Negative experience: This used to be a fantastic gym until management decided to close the crèche with zero consultation to members. There are no other gyms on the lower north shore with crèche facilities making it almost impossible for parents with young children to exercise now.

Negative experience: Good luck trying to get in touch with anyone. Walked it twice, got told to wait for a call back - No response After getting overcharged called in and got told to email the manager - Email is blocked and can't even send the email. 2 people, 6 individual tries to talk to Anyone and 3 different methods of communication and still no one to respond.

Negative experience: Something wrong with phone lines. 9/10 times I can’t get through over the phone. The voice tone instructs to type the first 3 letters of the club name to be transferred, so for Mosman I type 667# (MOS). It says it doesn’t match any club and eventually disconnects the line. This is a massive issue when I am too unwell to leave home and need to freeze my membership.
Positive experience: Mosman Fitness First is a great gym, friendly staff with wide range of equipment and excellent facilities and showers. My trainer, Jason, is outstanding, experienced, and professional and can recommend him highly to anyone.

Negative experience: Be aware ! to cancel membership is a nightmare, they do everything to annoy you ! 3 times I went to the reception to explain, either they don't understand you or not want to, poorly trained staff ! I still receive text messages about outstanding balances which I'd already paid, their system is a mess ! they give you 28 days cooling off time and keep charging you ! I feel like I'm being harassed !
Negative experience: Extremely disappointing. Had to cancel my account due to a back injury, they said that there would only be one more payment taken out. No problems. But then a second payment was taken out. I’ve gone in 3 times to try to deal with this, each time “the manager is out”, “all we can do is take a message, he’ll definitely call you”. Nothing. They know people are too busy to keep going in. There are lots of gyms in the area, definitely not doing FF when I’m better.

Positive experience: One of the best! Fitness first Mosman is clearly one of the best out of the chain. Friendly staff & engaged members. Generally very clean. Great location. It really does need better maintenance for equipment. Management seems to take a "cross that bridge when we get to it" approach which leads to excessive down times on equipment, holes in pads & an unkempt feel. Heavy usage equipment needs a active approach rather than a passive one. There are clear signs for all the equipment when it's time to replace key parts. It would be much appreciated.
Fantastic experience: 16 years a member. Great set-up, lots of machines, different exercise areas, ability to train on one's own or in dozens of classes spread throughout the week. Virtual classes are great. Nice one, FF!
Fantastic experience: I attended a cycling class where we have to follow government regulations of wearing a mask. Instructor Hamish F was all professional from start to finish, keeping the mask on and encouraging the handful of members who attended the class on a Friday morning to carry on! He also whipped a draw prize for lucky winners at the end of the class. What a lovely surprise for an unusual and tough workout experience - cycling with a mask!!!!! Well done Hamish

Fantastic experience: I used to be a member of this gym, and after a long hiatus from injury I have rejoined. The renovations make this one of the most airy, clean gyms I have visited, with lots of covid safe measures, friendly reception.
Negative experience: Signed up to a 5 day pass and was called up and sold a 12 month membership which I agreed to by phone subject to signing a contract. The first day I went to use the facilities on my trial pass I was told by reception that my membership wasn't active so to come back another time when a sales consultant is present. I was also told that the cooling off period would expire in 4 days (despite not having signed a contract yet nor having activated my 5 day trial pass). I came back before work at 8am on a Monday and no sales consultant was there and I was promised a call back. I am called 28 hours later and assured my membership will be fixed up. I came in to collect the card and sign my contract that afternoon. The date of commencement is noted to be that day even though I had not been able to take advantage of the 5 day trial period. I arrange for an amended commencement date 5 days later. I was then finally able to sign into the website to book a class (which is a very poorly designed clunky website might I add) only to find out that I cannot book a single morning, evening or weekend class at my home gym or any suburban gym in the vicinity of my home or work for the next week. I set an alarm the next morning and called to sign up to a class 7 days in advance and was told on the phone that it was already full - despite ringing within 30 seconds of the class slots becoming available. I determined that this gym was not be suitable given I am only a member to access classes, which are apparently completely inaccessible. I was given the excuse of covid class capacity. I am a member of another gym near work and I have had no issues there even in the post-lockdown gym opening up frenzy period in mid 2020. I tried to call 3 times to cancel and each person I spoke to didn't have authority to cancel my membership despite the contract term not even having commenced yet. Finally I was contacted by a sales consultant who informed me she had cancelled my membership. Some days later I received a text message that I have made it into a cycling class. I then looked at my bank statements and saw that a fee was debited by fitness first. Not sure what kind of a gym these guys are running but I know a few things: 1. it's very easy to sign up; 2. very hard to try 1 class let alone go to the maximum of 7 you are allowed in a week; 3. very hard to cancel. I'd suggest head office look into the ops at this particular gym because my experience will make me think twice about this company and I would certainly discourage anyone from signing up.
Negative experience: From 25 January 2021, Mosman Fitness first has decided to lock the cycle studio (outside of scheduled class times). This severely restricts your ability to use the bikes. The main excuse they gave was that people "tamper" with the bikes outside of class times - this is actually very difficult to do as the bikes are very sturdy and difficult to misuse. They have also significantly reduced the number of cycle classes with Covid - and all the classes they still run are booked out many days in advance. The response has been to put 4 bikes on the gym floor - which is already overcrowded. This is a poor decision - many regular cyclists are very disappointed. Other Fitness First gyms do not lock their cycle studios - so why does Mosman lock its studio? I thought the idea of a gym was to encourage members to use the equipment to get fit!?!?
Negative experience: Spoke to staff to sign up for a short term contract due to relocation to Melbourne. After going through options they suggested that we could easily cancel if we showed proof of relocation. Relocated to Melbourne and gave proof of relocation only to be told we could not cancel. Have tried to phone to find a solution but just spend ages on hold.

Negative experience: This is the worst gym that I have ever been. Very dirty at the class rooms. Always problems with booking classes. Put incorrect spelling in my details a few times. Staff is so not professional (but friendly).
Negative experience: Gym itself is ok, but the personal trainers and management are fraudulent. Read through other reviews and you'll see there is a consistent story around personal trainers charging but not showing, and to my surprise it wasn't just the one I had. Management hides behind a story that personal trainers aren't staff, except they are referred by staff and accept money from the trainers via your fees (including when the trainers don't provide service due to no shows, I including when the gym is shut down for quarantine, etc). Beyond this, the trainers are mostly kids and very inexperienced in what they're doing. I paid money to get into worse shape, then had to fix it after the very painful and expensive process of stopping. The saying a player isn't a coach very much applies here.

Fantastic experience: *** Update - the gym needs to crack down on the knobs sitting on machines not using them but playing with their phones. Also the other knobs who in Peak time tie up 2-3 machines with varying bits of clothing so they dont have to wait for anyone. Big crackdown needed and its not just at this gym. Some of those 1 star reviews are laughable. Entitled to their point of view just as I am entitled to laugh. Whingers these days. Its a big gym , lots of room , lots of machines even ones for biceps. Staff no different to any other retail. 9/10 are nice and acknowledge you and now and again cold person but they dont seem to last long. Been going for over 20 years.
