Fantastic experience: Management has absolutely crushed it with their choice (brand) of the new equipment. I along with MANY others of my friends who have trained for years at a lot of gyms believe these machines are on point, especially now that the wait time for a machine has lessened dramatically by bringing in multiples of the same machines (ex: 3 x lat-pulldowns). My son has just joined and very shortly a lot of his friends will follow suit. Atmosphere is awesome. Take a bow roar management fantastic effort!

Fantastic experience: I had a PT with Kye, from the initial chat all the way through Kye was patient and extremely helpful. I had a lot more confidence in the gym with his guidance and knowledge. Highly recommend Kye.

Fantastic experience: This gym is the best gym I’ve ever been to. Has top tier facilities and everything you need under one roof. The recovery is really convenient for members to use straight after their gym session as well as the restaurant to buy a coffee/food. All the staff are really lovely and nice to you as well. Positive experience: Great facilities, bad culture. Staff seemed pretty disinterested in helping unless they were in the sales department. Not a friendly vibe in the gym areas. Terrible, terrible music.

Fantastic experience: Been coming for almost 2 years now & I have never had a negative experience. From training in both weight gyms to mma/boxing classes, CrossFit & even a paired Zumba/kong/spin class with roar friends I thoroughly enjoyed every second in this venue. With inclusive facilities such as the restaurant/bistro, great outdoor playground, swimming pools indoor and outdoor with recovery section (plunge pool, spa, sauna, steam room) + tennis/squash courts & reformer Pilates. This place gives hope & encouragement with a breath of fresh air from the friendliest staff accomodating all needs and desires throughout the whole family. Negative experience: Place is very rundown. Multiple extremely large holes in the changeroom/shower ceiling looks to be collapsing above. Shower heads and doors entirely missing off showers. 9/10 something is always broken with the sauna/icebath/steamroom/spa. Gym floor is messy as there is no staff directing members to put their weights etc. away

Positive experience: Great all round gym offering pilates, les mills classes and the more premium membership with sauna and strength groups. The gym is being renovated and saunas are now up and running! I honestly feel relaxed knowing my 3yr old is with Mel and her staff in the creche. I get time to shut off from the daily grind. Mel is warm, down-to-earth, and hands-on! You can be guaranteed your kids will do an craft or drawing activity with most creche visits and there is plenty to keep them amused!

Negative experience: The gym isn’t maintained well and overall is pretty dirty, members don’t wipe down equipment and weights are always left on the machines it gets very stuffy in the ‘strength’ area and also has a very distinct smell which you get smacked in the face with as you walk in, machines are so close to each other you feel like your constantly in the way of gym bros and i don’t get gym anxiety but this place made me feel it - overall i wouldn’t recommend there are better, cleaner and more welcoming gyms in the area

Fantastic experience: Not only an amazing place for my workout, the hidden gem is Macarena’s ( barista) coffee when I leave. Macarena makes the best coffee I’ve had since moving from Melbourne. The whole team is so polite and helpful. See you next weekend Macarena & the team @ Roar ❤️

Negative experience: Couldn’t even have a look round to see if the gym met our needs… without giving all of our private information and a photograph and was then made to feel that we were unreasonable for not wanting to comply.. concerning

Negative experience: Advertising is misleading for reformer Pilates. It says 2 free trial classes and gives you full details plus a video all about Pilates. I booked a free class and when I went to book another class I was told by the girl at reception that there are no free classes. I asked her to google it as my phone was in the car. More questions, I then asked her to get me someone that can help me. Brent the manager came out of the office, was also questioning me like he didn’t believe me. He said there are no free Pilates classes. I replied that I have just come out of one, his response was that they would be advertising 2 weeks free trial at the gym and was not interested in anything more I had to say, he told me he was busy in a meeting and told the girl on reception to deal with it. I had to go out to my car get my phone and show the advert. The receptionist understood how it could be misleading and said she would let the manager know.. A manager who can’t be bothered to listen to a member, does not have the best interest of the customer nor the company. This class would be an add on to my already existing membership. Negative experience: The place is so dully lit, makes you feel depressed being there. Got asked to pay $286 to terminate my contract early. Disgusting money hungry people with no compassion. Go to Cockburn ARC instead, you'll be treated with respect, brand new equipment, and a cheaper membership!

Negative experience: This place can’t decide if it’s a children’s play area, swimming pool or a gym! Swimming pool is constantly doing children’s swim lessons so never any free lanes to do recovery Gym equipment is archaic and takes along time to be fixed And with constant children running around the gym and pool area. With anything that tries to do to many things it fails in almost everything instead of being good at anyone thing!

Negative experience: The blond lady in the reception was not helpful at all. I paid for my day pass and they were unable to give me a key or something to open the gate which make my stay very unpleasant
Fantastic experience: I have been attending Roar bibra lake for 2.5 years and this is the first time I’ve had a piece of expensive jewellery fall off and into the treadmill. I would like to thank Andrea who followed this up today and especially to maintenance (Gavin McDiarmid) for opening the treadmill up and finding my necklace this afternoon. Negative experience: why are almost all the seats on the machines in the body building gym retarded?
Negative experience: Joined in January 2023 and spent just under a year and a half enjoying training at Roar Bibra Lake (mostly had to do with the PT I was training with). However, have become frequently disappointed and fed up with the maintenance and upkeep of this gym considering the premium price. Multiple treadmills are consistently broken down and out of order, one step-machine was out of order for 6 months, leaving only one in an extremely busy gym. Machines and equipment poorly maintained, to the point it is a safety hazard. There are a lot of members and personal trainers who hog equipment and refuse to share for 30 minutes plus in peak times when 90% of the full-time Monday-Friday working population are at the gym. Finally, find some (not all - some are lovely) of the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Now my PT has gone purely online, have found another gym that is a quarter of the price and a lot cleaner and well-maintained!

Positive experience: Seems to be a super popular place. We've come a few times and it's epic for the kids. But.. the beer is flat, without head and served in plastic even though the cups of tea/ coffee, the plates and the big bottles of water for outside are all GLASS. Bit rich for a $13 to $15 pint for WA brewed beer when the playground clearly states not to take food or drink in the area.The fries are chips, over cooked and take half hour and then dosnt come with the sauce on the side- It's an extra dollar. Inflation at its finest. Great place and love the upgrades for the little ones, they are honestly next level. But in this economy I'd like a frothy beer for my buck.
Negative experience: I signed up and I am spending double more than I used to which is fine because there’s lot of facilities and access to pool/ recovery zones. But for what you’re paying, pretty disappointed to see gym equipment isn’t being fixed or replaced. 3 treadmills have been out of order for over a week. Same weight machine not fixed and covered with tape. Needs more maintenance for the amount of people using the gym. Hopefully this review can be taken as feedback to help improve the gym & allow more people to have access to certain gym equipment :)

Negative experience: Unfortunately I cannot recommend ROAR and am extremely unhappy with the service I have received at Bibra Lake. The booking system, terms and conditions are complex, staff are insufficiently trained in how to explain the system and associated charges, and the system appears to be centred around making money over and above your membership. I have been charged almost $160 excess to my premium membership in a few months and been largely unable to book the reformer pilates classes I can attend. On three separate occasions I have requested contact from management to reverse unfair charges that "cannot be reversed by admin" and waited and waited, but nobody has contacted me. Very disappointed and will be exploring with consumer affairs.
Fantastic experience: Love coming to Roar for my workouts and connecting with other club members. Our gym as well as well equipped is clean bright well staffed and serviced and improved continuously. Fantastic experience: This is more a lifestyle centre than a gym. It’s open 24/7 and it’s huge! It has 2 weights areas, a huge gym floor with all the machines you can think of, a spin class area, group fitness area, reformer Pilates area (premium), CrossFit area (premium), an inside 25m pool with aqua classes and kids swimming classes, a 50m outside pool with pool side food service, a recovery zone with a spa, wet & dry sauna and ice plunge pool, huge change rooms, members only lounge area with kids indoor playground, crèche, squash courts, martial arts classes (seperate), a huge bar & grill with an amazing play area with that huge cushion trampoline and wooden ship play area (open to the public and popular for kids parties), physiotherapist, chiropractor, hairdresser, cosmetic clinic. Phew! Told you it was huge - the owners are Texan so you get the gist. Good membership prices too.

Negative experience: less than average equipment for what you pay for. dumbells not even labelled, using label maker stickers, most weights have at least .5-1kgs worth of rubber chunked out of them. adjustable benches outdated and unserviced. had one break down in my session. wouldnt suggest a place like this to anyone. try to do a few things well instead of too much poorly.

Positive experience: I'll give this 4 stars because the quality of the pit trainers are very good. The special weights room is also pretty good. My only issue with this gym is they have only 1 squat rack in the special weights room and maybe 2 or 3 in the main gym. Given the number of people I think it's probably just not enough. You have to be super careful about what time you go to the gym if you don't want to be waiting for a squat rack or a cable machine. But it's got a good variety of equipment. Overall it's not too bad.

Negative experience: They have been having issues with locking their gates for months with no communication to members (who are paying premium gym prices) about what’s going on or offering complimentary memberships until they get it fixed. Anyone off the street can enter the gym any hour of the day for free while members continue to pay full price for a gym that always has weights on the floor, broken machines and last week someone was playing basketball on the squash court. When voicing my concerns via email and a phone call, they admitted to these faults, directed me how to cancel my membership and still charged me the 30 day cancelling period. While further away, I’ll be going back to my original gym who VALUE their members.
Negative experience: Decent sized facility with plenty of equipment. Upkeep and maintenance of said facility though is lacklustre. Weights can be found anywhere, in any order and are rarely tidied up and put away. Machines are often broken. But I’m actually not surprised. Structure and pride comes from the top, and given that I have had my feedback on security issues and issues with non members using and abusing the facility completely ignored, I know for a fact that those at the top don’t care. When I spoke to a staff member about cancelling my membership and the reasons why, they admitted my previous feedback was passed on to management but ignored. They admitted this is a common occurrence and that it’s been tiring as a staff member to see complaints go unanswered and with no action. As long as the dollars keep rolling in hey? Proactive when trying to get you as a member, invisible when there’s an issue.
Fantastic experience: Hello there … I love this gym … but the only filter water by the pizza they took it out … so no filter water at all , and chlorine water is very unhealthy, when I forget my water I struggle with the chlorine flavour … a gym so complete .. will be nice to have at least one filter

There are two within the gym area, one situated outside the squash courts, and, if needed, our ROAR Bar and Grill staff can also assist you in refilling your water bottle.

Negative experience: Big place. Lots of stuff. Pool, steam room, etc. Was pretty happy paying the price but when I asked the staff to turn down the volume of the music in the main weight room it became just too hard for the staff. You had to raise your voice over the pop music, which I don’t like. Could not block it out with headset, because I would have had to crank my volume up too loud to be safe. I asked and asked. The front desk staff acted put out, and then even offended that I pointed out in spit of my repeated requests nothing happened. I asked the manager to give me a ring, and of course they never did. Simple customer service is something I expect, and was beyond Roar’s ability to deliver. Bye.

Fantastic experience: Me and the wife love this place and have only been in Perth for a month now from NZ. CHRIS the sales manager is the best. He had me at Zumba lol. My wife goes to cross fit twice a week and I do the fifo deal to access the gym and sauna and ice dip and spa and the best part for last.... the creche where we can put our 1 and 3 year old in for 2 hours and just be worry FREE (emphasize the free).... I might have to consider dropping my swings down so I can come more often lol.

Negative experience: The star is for the pool which is fantastic but very pricey for a session, especially since you have to share it with kids and school groups. Would be good if you could purchase a certain number of sessions at a decent price for the summer. The gym itself is poor. Limited rusty old equipment, very little floor space to stretch and warm up, cramped and poorly spaced out equipment area.

Negative experience: Unmantained. Dirty. Not worth the money. Staff unhelpful and uneducated. When I made a complaint regarding the floors being dirty all the time, I was informed that they hadn’t been cleaned for months and it showed. Weight plates were always on the floor and other equipment wasn’t where it should be. Most of the equipment is old and hasn’t been cleaned in along time. Sad my experience was not good, I left to go back to my $10 gym that can afford a cleaner and where the staff are helpful.

Negative experience: Atrocious customer service. In Dec last year I moved from the area and was given a verbal confirmation that it was fine to end my membership only I had to still pay for 4 weeks which was fair. I realised in February I was still paying and got told that they had no record and unless I was further than 30 ks or had a serious illness I had to pay until October. Sad thing is the management got reception to do their dirty work for them and hadn't the decency to speak to me direct. You could feel that the person I dealt with also felt it was unfair. So as it is I will have paid 3 months for a gym I haven't been at not would I ever go in again. These times are hard enough without being blatantly ripped off for a service you practically can't use.
Positive experience: Transparency it’s a modest scam, very nice place, but it’s expensive. You get given a 1:1 trainer experience but it’s just a way to keep their PTs in business and try and intimidate you into buying a plan with them. $10 fees for direct debit not being successful after 1 attempt, not a late fee. Facility is very nice, clean but weights never put away correctly or even reorganised by a staff member daily. Not enough free weights room and squat racks/bench press. Staff are friendly, it’s clean. You’re looking at $24.50/week if you get a lock in contract or $28.50/week without. you do get access to all other roar fitness gyms with Bibra lake membership, the other gyms aren’t as nice however. Not a bad experience by any means, just feel like there are some cheaper gyms with a better customer focus.
Positive experience: Great facilities - they playground I cannot fault for kids, could keep them entertained for hours. We come here for many birthday parties. Great atmosphere and vibe to sit and have a meal and relax while kids play. Menu is so What limited but haven’t had any issues with food. Won’t lie, on some occasions that bouncy pillow is absolute carnage but they absolutely have a ball. Would highly recommend dressing in bright colours as always busy. Really like when outside drinks bar is open so don’t have to wait in the queue sometimes inside and the toilets located outside are great for kids!!

Negative experience: Unfortunately a disappointing experience and I will not be purchasing a membership and my family will not be renewing theirs. Enquired about a potential membership and was told on the phone that a free trial was available, my Mum is a current member and was told that with her membership that she was able to have a family member or friend have a free trial if they came with her. We attended today and the gentleman at the front counter was happy to put this through and let us in together, however another women walked past, I assume a manager, and interrupted him and told us there was a $20 fee to enter. I would have been happy to pay a small trial or entrance fee but $20?? This is a bit much and she was very dismissive when we tried to discuss the before mentioned free trial with her.
Positive experience: We played tennis at ROAR Bibra Lake last Saturday but the tennis court was so littered with rubbish. We tried to get a broom to tidy up but your young staff by the name of Ellis Orton ( hope the spelling is correct) came and clean up for us. Fine example of public relations - we would like to compliment this young man.

Positive experience: Generally a good place to visit. I am a member for 12 years. Good facilities, but a couple of things, they will not even discuss. One of them: Steam room - it is a wet and worm place. Surfaces are clean and smooth around the world, unless you are a Bibra Lake bogan. Then you put plastic rough surface to collect sweat and skin particles. Then you do not wash in. And you will have a smell in steam room, like a dirty socks, most of the time. Stupidity and arrogance of maintenance people does not allow to discuss the issue, it was slippery before, they say. Just remove second level and have bench on one level. But made from marble, or tiles if you are cheap. And go travel arond the world and see what surfaces are made in steam rooms.

Positive experience: As a gym I cannot fault this place. The facilities are great. Staff are great. The restaurant…. dinner and lunch has always been very nice too. To be even better roar could improve the breakfasts.. for some reason it comes out cold every time. (Also, please consider putting by a fussball court in the outside area). Other than that I would definitely recommend, keep up the great work !

Negative experience: So after being forced to pay 30 days when I was not physically allowed to access gym at all was still illegally charged fees. After ringing up and being polite and touching base , have been treated rudely , asked exorbant fees , quoted illegal contract law , there has been no compassion or human values shown . I'm a very patient man but I have decided to now boycot this company and let others know how they operate and they have decided to operate the bad way . Leave them in the dust and find better more wholesome company's to support
Positive experience: Comon guys fix your weight stack machines, At Bibra Lake and cockburn central. The guidance bars need re-greasing there is lag on these cables. I have reported to your staff at both locations but it has been at least 3 months now and these machines remain the same. Cheers.

Negative experience: They are extortionists, after not using the membership for about a year, i went into the front desk to cancel the membership. They refused to process the cancellation form unless i paid them for the next month $50 in advance, they have since hassled me for money each month for 2 years, every month i told them i do want and do not use their service, have no intention of ever setting foot on their premises and will not be paying them any money - now they are taking me to court for $800. - absolute crooks.

Positive experience: Great facilities however I believe the large gym area could be managed a lot better. Weights, plates, equipment left lying around everywhere every time I'm there. Very untidy, unorganised and unfortunately actually a little bit dirty. If there were signs reminding patrons to return there weights after use and a staff member who could keep things organised that would make a world of difference. Fixing up this alone would be enough for me to give 5 stars.

Negative experience: I have been a member of Roar Gym for some time. Over all the facilities are great. We have a disabled daughter whom is in a wheelchair. With help with the heavy doors from us she can get around fine. We have advised the team many times the access gate closes prematurely causing damage to the chair but issue is still not fixed so beware of the access gate. The staff say you can stand to hold it open. However if your like my self with an injury it's not ideal having the pressure of the gate force closing on you. You also have to ask for the access gate to be put on your card. Roar staff are nice and knowledgeable. It is a great place. Over all, I have not had the best experience. When I signed up I bought a $50 personal fitness package. I wasn't followed up and I would follow up with no return calls. I escalated to management via email and I got a call but no further follow up. Still no refund. I asked to have the money refunded and was contacted by trainers but at this point my life circumstances had changed as I had a MVA which I have been seriously injured from. I kept my membership only as I would expect to rehab at the gym at some point. We have a disabled daughter in a wheelchair. We use the gym for the pool facilities mainly now. There have been times where we have been asked to get out of the pool for the aqua aerobics classes. I have raised it and I guess resolved it with the team at Roar. When they saw our daughter was in a wheelchair they then said ohhh no no no you can stay. Wheelchair or not, paying members should have access to all facilities. I was quite annoyed by this incident. Mainly as there was 4 people in the class so I was dumb founded why the full length of the leisure lane was needed considering the remaining pool was empty. Today we visit the center and our mistake the pool is closed on PH. However my access had been revoked. I was unable to access anything. Yes there had been missed payments but all up to date now. I would say due to the non payment the access was revoked. Definitely recommend calling and ensuring your account is in check if you have missed payments as there is no help at all on PH to get access. I have asked for information regarding kids gym classes before at reception. I was sent upstairs to the defense classes to talk to the teacher. The instructor was like yeah you've been given wrong information. I went back down stairs to reception and was standing there for ages as no one was at the desk. No way to get attention of staff. So I didn't follow up further. The dining area is a great space and is often busy. It has an amazing play space for all abilities. Definitely recommend booking ahead or ringing ahead to book if you have issues with the online booking slip. I haven't had the best experiences either with the dining side of life. We showed up and was told had to book online. Showed the online as it said no online booking needed and the error it brought up when trying to submit. The lady serving us was quite shocked and then said - your not the only one who has that. I've arranged a gathering before. Sure not a heap of notice from my side but again no booking need according to website but did the right thing and emailed and phoned the mobile and followed up with no answer. Got a call and email morning of event to say we can't accommodate. I was quite frustrated as I could have been told days earlier. As I said I have not had the best experience but this isn't to say this is the same for everyone. It is a great space. Definitely room for improvement in many areas.

Ultimately member safety is paramount which is why we have gone to these extreme lengths to ensure everybody coming in to the Club has sighted vaccination proof. Negative experience: Only care about taking peoples hard earned money. Lack of professionalism, staff are uneducated and very rude. Wouldn't reccomend this gym to anyone. New owners and staff members are time wasters. This gym has gone downhill since Roar fittness took over. Very uneducated to say the least. Just plain rude and like to dominate people with their opinions. Not there to help people just about money

Negative experience: They have air con that is never on ,with no air flow inside the enclosed gym making it very difficult to train Equipment breaks and left for weeks on end never gets fixed Skip bins out back smell very bad ,can be smelt inside the gyms hallway Etc...etc...

Positive experience: Solid gym(s) and amenities such as four squash courts, indoor/outdoor pool, bar and grill etc. They have a lot of unique equipment that you don't see at other gyms although it'd be great if there were some names on the more unique machines so it indicates what they're being used for. Also some machines have counter-intuitive placement with some of the pins as they touch the barrier surrounding the weights (for example the seated row machine in the corner of the small gym). The other thing is the membership prices are pretty expensive, would be great if you could pick what level access you have, for example gym without pool access. Probably quite hard to implement since they'd have to cordon off the pool area from the gym which would make things inconvenient. But would be great to have that option as I imagine a lot of gym goers don't use the pool, guess this is how they justify the price and earn a profit though. It's a business after all

Negative experience: Poor quality equipment and heating issues with the indoor pool. I paid for a month to month membership which was paid in advance which advertised their website. They now have a debit collector chasing me for over $800. Cockburn gym COC is much newer and has a nicer with better equipped.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and so family friendly, we spend a lot of time here. My kids love going to the creche and I feel so comfortable leaving them there. Fantastic experience: Really impressed with the Creche at Bibra Lake Roar. My 2 young girls have been attending for 2-3 years now, and have been excited to attend every single time. The ladies have been working here for many years which is very telling and are they are both confident and compassionate with where the kids are at. We love them and will be sad when we don’t need them anymore. The space itself is great with both an inside area and an outside. Toys galore.
