Sunshine Fitness 24/7 (Truganina)

Negative experience: We moved from away from sunshine, and we kinda enjoyed the sunshine branch. Unfortunately we went to Truganina branch because it's closer from sunshine to us now, and it disappointed us. If you’re looking for a cheap gym where the machines are always broken, the place is filthy never been cleaned, and it’s overcrowded, this might be for you. The staff are unhelpful, they don't know what to do or how to talk to customers. There’s no management on site, so staff seem to do whatever they want. Won't be surprised if the management are in similar level. The sauna has been out of order for months, and today I was told it won’t be fixed because of the Christmas holiday, despite it being broken long before December. Instead of honest answers, they give lies and excuses. Sadly, you get what you pay for. Shockingly, the stuff even suggested us to go to other gyms, like we're waiting them to suggest that lol

Negative experience: CANCELLING MEMBERSHIP, Came to workout in the morning, the receptionist behaved rudely and interrupted our workout. I would suggest everyone to think twice before signing up, its better to head to derrimut couple of minutes away.

Negative experience: Good gym, good machines.. But dirty toilets, urinals and showers. Seems like they never get cleaned. Parking is a big issue. You have to wait for 15-20 mins to find a parking spot. And it seems like the gym management doesn’t care about it. Instead they put “Tow Away, No Parking” signs everywhere . I tried different times but same situation every time. Can’t bother to wait for parking every time I come to gym, so gave the gym notice to quit. Last couple of weeks and off to another better gym.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at this gym for a while now, and unfortunately, it has been a consistently frustrating experience. Over 17 machines have been broken for an extended period, and there seems to be no effort to repair them. This makes workouts difficult and frustrating, as there are limited working options during peak hours. To make matters worse, the parking situation is terrible. There are far too few spaces compared to the number of members, which means you’re often circling around for ages just trying to find a spot. If you’re considering joining this gym, please re-evaluate your decision. It’s not worth the hassle or the money. For just an extra $5 a week, you can join a gym that actually maintains its equipment and provides a better overall experience. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere!

It was a matter of time before these machines from Wish had issues. There is no joke, 6-8 leg machines in a row ‘out of order’, and have been like that for extended periods of time. -Every smith machine is broken on one side of the factory. -The gym have halved their designated car parking due to other commercial tenants complaining -Peak hour times are groups of teenagers training on one machine for 30 minutes at a time -And lastly one of the seats broke in half and the pole went inside my rectum, I tried to add a photo but it won’t allow me

Overcrowding: The gym has been extremely crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to access equipment and causing a uncomfortable atmosphere. Parking: The parking lot is often full, forcing me to park elsewhere and walk a distance to reach the gym.even gym staff fight for parking spots and they are very rude. when these issues will be resolved. Even though toilets are not clean it’s very dirty. And most of the time these are out of order as usual.

The past 2 months have seen a decline in the gym equipment, fraying cables which is just straight dangerous and have herd of an injury...., bathrooms not kept, gym smells like B.O, parking is obviously a known issue, people i know are now copping fines for parking in a place we were told was ok! Too late now for most unfortunately. I love this gym but it is really disheartening to see it go down the way it is and I'm barely going because of how poor parking is and the machine quality. The staff are amazing and doing what they can but it's upto the owners to actually do something for thier Gym members as they're loosing them by the minute. The owners need to listen to thier members, read these reviews, and start fixing things as they are letting them down and future members, that I feel won't last long.... Really hope this gym picks up there game as it's got potential but it's fading fast

You could never find a parking spot there. Lately they have been towing cars (there are lot of towing zones than actual parking zones) and parking fines…$120 and they proudly announce it on the big gym screen…. Good luck.. Think before you pay…. Everyone hates this gym space

Positive experience: Absolutely love the gym & staff. - however the parking situation is ridiculous. As a mum I only have limited time to come to the gym and with nearly the whole area being made a tow away zone you wait 20-30 minutes for a park spot. I’ve missed out on so many gym sessions as I simply don’t have a spare 30 minutes to wait for a car park. I was told to park across the road. The construction workers in the area next door take up majority of the car parks. I also add that there needs to be staff on the floor to address the major issue of weights being absolutely trashed everywhere & machines and bars not being unloaded. It’s not fair every session to be unloading heavy weights and tripping over dumbbells all over the floor.

The high demand for parking spots has led to long wait times, frustration, and wasted time before my workout. This parking issue has been ongoing without any resolution in sight. Additionally, the gym's hygiene and machines are both terrible. When I raised the issue with the gym staff, I was advised to park on the other side of the highway, which added more inconvenience to my gym visit. This parking situation is the worst I have encountered compared to any other gym I've been to. The staff's response to the parking issue was dismissive, and it seemed like they were unwilling to address the problem. This lack of concern was disappointing, and as a result, I decided to cancel my membership. I hope the gym management takes steps to improve the parking situation and staff attitude for the benefit of their members.

Negative experience: Time to find a new gym. When you drive to the gym and you can’t find a parking space it’s time to move on. Ridiculous situation were the owners had failed to take into account that simply smashing out memberships means providing adequate services for their customers. Being in and industrial area and on a main road no parking is available. All that’s happened from the owners to resolve this is threaten customers with illegal parking and employ two hi vis people at night who lean up against a car and watch in amusement

Fantastic experience: Great gym, you can tell its a good vibe by the regulars who are super encouraging, everyone knows everyone, its like its own little community! Parking can be tough but clearly everyone likes to come here and it shows! If those who don't like the gym so much left it would free up parking for the rest of us who do. The mixed gym has everything you need. Sure machines break but that's at the fault of clueless gym goers who wreck it for the rest of us! You can see some major improvements being implemented lately, thanks for enforcing the no towel no train, blows my mind people dont bring towels! Some of the staff are very helpful and always friendly, Renee is always making sure people feel welcome here. The changerooms are neat and keyless lockers are such a good idea, toilets are clean and the ladies gym is perfect. Can't fault this place.

Negative experience: I wish I can give negative rating. How unprofessional these guys are. Just letting everyone know if you're going to cancel the membership, you will have to reach them million times as they dont reply and bother to check when an initial request has put through and impose 28 days from the day they have checked their email. The only perk is cheap rates but you get what you pay for. Their machines are cheap too. Management is super annoying and unprofessional.

Negative experience: What started as one of the most promising gyms in Melbourne has, in less than a year, become one of the worst. They made empty promises about cleanliness and high-quality machines. (Neither of which is true. The machines are cheap and constantly falling apart) All, just to get your money and another sign-up. The parking situation is a nightmare; you'll wait up to 20 minutes to find a spot, and it’s only getting worse. I've been a member since this place opened, and I really regret signing up for a yearly membership. You live and learn. The only positive aspect of this gym is the friendliness of the staff. Negative experience: I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this gym, and I felt compelled to share my frustration. One of the major issues is the lack of parking. There are so many cars trying to park that I ended up waiting for half an hour, only to see more cars arriving continuously, 4-5 at a time, every two minutes. Despite waiting, there were no available spots. Everyone is trying to park, but no one can find a space, leading to constant frustration and a waste of time before even starting my workout. The rush is overwhelming, and this problem has been ongoing for a long time without any resolution in sight. When I approached the gym desk to explain my situation, I was told to park on the other side of the highway near Coles. This involves walking and crossing the road, which takes up even more time. After my workout, I then have to walk back to retrieve my car. This gym's parking management is a disaster, and it's the worst I have encountered compared to any other gym I've been to. The staff's response to the parking issue is dismissive, suggesting that parking across the highway or waiting outside is normal for big gyms, and they can't solve it. This lack of concern and unwillingness to address the problem was the final straw for me. As a result, I canceled my membership and will be returning to my previous gym, which now offers me a better deal and, most importantly, adequate parking.

Positive experience: Great range of equipment, needs some improvements especially on the cleaner that cleans daily, he has his air pods in his bumped into me that many times, his lead is too short so often it's across the gym a meter of the ground if your not looking down easily fall over, walks into the woman's gym doesn't close the door, countless times over, has no sense of awareness around him especially when there's people carrying weights :/ woman's section is great needs more maintenance with machines dumbbells are always missing ( recent issue ) however gym is that big that there's so many options and great value for money please address ur cleaner on safety issues though and work on equipment going back to correct areas :)

Negative experience: - Overcrowded parking. Suggested street parking when full has caused issues with trucks even if in clear designated zones as they need wide turns. Nearby businesses unhappy during the morning when taking the closest parking spots (even though they aren’t reserved). - Female toilets always dirty including regularly broken amenities. I don’t believe the female toilet bowl lids have ever been secured since week one of opening -Poor equipment maintenance - Potential to improve, staff are great. Hope to see this gym thrive once they work out the kinks.

Negative experience: The female toilets don’t get cleaned enough as they should be. No toilet papers, used toilet papers on the floor Disgusting toilets Male toilets have horrible smell that fills up the whole gym. Last week I was using leg machines and when I went home I had these itching pimples popped up in my hands they called Sweat herpes. The machines needs to be wiped down by staff members often because of the volume of people using. And make every member to wipe the machine down after each use. The wet wipes always empty when you need it. The environment is not so great.

Negative experience: ⭐⭐ It’s been a decent time since I’ve been a member of this gym and usually leave my car keys with the receptionists for safekeeping and have noticed many people do. Yesterday, I asked the receptionist Renee if I could leave my keys with her, and she responded very rudely which was so uncalled for. She then rolled her eyes when I explained how I trust her with my keys. She could have politely mentioned that if there is a gym policy of not keeping keys with receptionist but the way she spoke was not appreciated. I left it at that and continued with my workout until later, I found out she told my trainer I had an attitude problem, which is entirely unfounded. This behaviour was disappointing and unprofessional. The rest of the staff have always been so welcoming and so sweet with me, but Renee's attitude needs to be addressed, otherwise excellent environment of the gym, very well maintained, i absolutely love working out here.

Positive experience: A decent gym that’s getting ruined by construction next door taking up most of the carpark, 12pm on a weekday the carpark is completely full and the gym is quiet.. people are risking their cars getting towed away to train, I waited for 15minutes for a carpark and only got one thanks to the receptionist Kathy who unfortunately is having to cop all the angry customers and complaints, people are getting fed up with this.. it’s deterring a lot of customers please do something about it

A construction company is the tenant next door, and they are now taking 80% of the parks. The cars don’t move and sit until around 4pm, otherwise car park is basically full everyday. Fantastic experience: My friend and I recently became members at Sunshine 24/7 after leaving Derrimut Caroline Springs, and the experience has been incredibly refreshing. The gym offers a diverse selection of equipment, maintains cleanliness impeccably, and boasts friendly staff who warmly greet you upon arrival. One minor observation is that some of the cardio equipment, particularly the cross trainers, feels a bit dated and could benefit from upgrades. On a positive note, I really appreciate amenities like the refuel bar and the fitness body scanner. Additionally, it's fantastic to see a range of apparel, supplements, and training accessories available. Positive experience: Majority of the staff are extremely friendly ! Special mention to Renee & the older lady who usually works morning for always greeting members when they walk in, have been a little disappointed when walking in that some of the younger female staff seem to be on their phones and dont bother to greet members. The male staff overall have been great with customers and prompt on helping members on the gym floor. A little bit of thumbs down to - The toilet seats majority of the time are lose and hanging off - can you guys PLEASEEEE PLEASEEE paint the small metal bar that stops the barbell rolling off the platform , a different colour ! The orange blends in with the equipemnt and I mysef have tripped over it so many times and I have seen so many other people trip over it too. - can you guys please consider selling the small premade prework outs (total war, harness or CBUM) or even preworkout by the scoop , times I’ve forgotten my powder abd havent been able to buy a single serve from the facility sucks , I did recommend this ages ago and the worker said she would suggest it (unsure if she did) Over all the gym offers a very large wide of different equipment and even during peak times you can gey your workout dobe in a reasonable time. Love the infrared suanas and massive cardio soace upstairs

Positive experience: Please leave signs around dumbbells for ppl to put them back in their designated spots that the staff initially place them in. Either that or put labels of the dumbbell KG weight under each set of dumbbell so ppl know to put it back there.

Fantastic experience: Good gym but you need to sort out parking. Workers from neighbouring businesses are seen parking at the gym while members drive around in circles hoping to get a spot. It’s becoming a nuisance and will put members off.

Negative experience: Machines are extremely out of touch. Most chest machines start really far back and can become a cause of major shoulder injuries. It's extremely silly telling your members not to put any 1.25kg-2.5kg weights under the arm of the machine to help push the weight off in a comfortable position. Hint: No, it won't damage the machine. If you want to train chest on any of the machine's near the squat racks/boxing area. Get ready to have your shoulders scream for help. Too many people that train here complain about the chest machines. Hopefully something is done as the owners clearly put a lot of effort to make this gym a serious competitor to derrimut.

Negative experience: Place looks fancy, but the machines are tacky. Old machines, outdated, uncomfortable and awkward to use. Seems like they cheaped out and painted everything orange. Plenty of mega gyms out there with newer, premium equipments that I will be willing to travel for.

Fantastic experience: Hi Sunshine Fitness Truganina, I wanted to ask, like you have made a separate space only for women to work out. If you have any more available space at the gym if you would consider making a space only for people with special needs with limited equipment. Special needs people can get easily overwhelmed and overstimulated. Having that smaller / exclusive space only for special needs people would encourage them to stay on track and would help them not get distracted and overstimulated. An added benefit is that some also get NDIS funding for Personal training and this would encourage people with special needs to use the services offered by the gym. Looking forward to your thoughts and feedback.

Fantastic experience: Have been going for a month now and absolutely love this gym the facilities are immaculately clean and staff are amazing and friendly with so many machines to workout on over 200+ machines you can not go wrong with this gym aswell as having a ladies only section that has all the machines needed for a good solid workout and for $10 a week cannot be beaten in my opinion! Positive experience: Big gym, but lacking quite a bit. Some machines feels awkward or outdated. They’re missing a lot of common machines you’ll find at most other gyms. A couple of extra bins would be nice for wipes and empty bottles. I’ve seen a few rubbish laying around. Also, no a/c in hot weather. This is an odd one but I noticed a lot of people stares at each other. Even women, as if they’re trying to catch you perving or something. I always mind my own business, listen to music and focus on my workout, but it’s something quite noticeable. Weird vibe. (I’m happily married with a beautiful girl btw) Good thing is, I still managed a decent workout. I wouldn’t mind returning.. when it’s less crowded.

Fantastic experience: My family and I attend Sunshine fitness in Truganina Gym has great facilities but what makes this gym extra special is having a lovely staff member named Ranee, she is always so helpful, happy and always makes us feel so welcome Truly a asset to this gym and the people that attend Having people like Ranee will definitely make this gym a standout in a competitive gym market Thankyou Kamar and family

Fantastic experience: This place is Incredible I love it Andalusia the employees are good but Ranae, she Is the best worker, super Friendly, helpful and caring, when I lost my phone she kept it safe and waited for me to come back and get it thank you Ranae for your kindness and Work

Negative experience: This is a nice, good and affordable gym except the prices on the drinks I really do not appreciate the high unaffordable price that’s driving me nuts. Today I experienced one of there protein shakes for 8.50$ they tasted super cheap for a crazy mark up and I’m not happy at all I’d like for sunshine to think about the people and how we are getting scammed after all I want is a quick boost of caffeine or I missed my protein goal and need a protein shake. I’d also like to point out that a plastic bottle of water is a whopping $2.50. I’d just like to say this is unacceptable and it’s not appreciated at all. So #lowerdrinkpricesatsunshine I hope for this to come true since I’m just a student and don’t have job yet and can’t afford a drink for my protein goal or a quick boost of caffeine

Positive experience: Only reason why this a 4 star rating is because there's no trap Bar... I've asked twice about this, and been told "we'll check into it". Please, get a trap Bar Update: the music is way too loud, and despite the various feedback provided, nothing changes. Specifically, the music gets turned up when there is one specific person at reception - and she does not care for other people's opinions.

Positive experience: If Bunnings or Costco built a gym it would be like this. This place is huuuuggggeee! Amazing facilities, but turn the AC up, on hot or even warm days feels like training in a sauna.
