Fantastic experience: I'm very happy with this gym. My previous gym (for just a few months) was Fitness First in Castle Hill, so that is my comparison point. This gym is much more compact, but quite complete in terms of range of equipment and accessibility. I don't feel "lost" or overwhelmed here like I did with the massive Fitness First. The staff have a great attitude as other reviewers have pointed out. The gym is quite clean, although I think some patrons go overboard with the use of wet wipes, all of which end up in landfill. They recently added a few plants (fiddle leaf I think) which adds a nice ambience. I also think the fitness advice posted on the blackboard is a nice touch, even if I sometimes ignore it, particularly with regards to diet! Anyhow, glad to have a good gym facility just 3-4 minutes drive from home, and with plenty of parking and Coles etc just adjacent.

Negative experience: Very pathetic customer service. I had come all the way during staffed hours to submit a request where I’m advised that they can serve on the email request only. I requested him to take my request on the counter as I had already come all the way just for this purpose and I want confirmation right away that my request has been taken into account as I’m heading overseas, but he refused to serve me. My question is what if a customer doesn’t use email, they can’t be served by your gym. I would say very inconsiderate staff behaviour without an iota of empathy for customer and as if they have no regard for the customers situation. Definitely considering cancelling my membership here.

Fantastic experience: I recently started a month ago and it has been a positive experience so far. I was fairly new to the gym and when asking staff for help, they were able to guide me in the right direction for my workouts. I have found the group classes that are for free extremely helpful and all the trainers are really good. All the staff are friendly and always ready to chat, which I find is very sweet. They have made this new journey of going to the gym far more exciting for me, so thank you Snap fitness. I wanted to give a special shout-out to all the following staff members: Klayne, Mahim, Jack, Gill and Marinel

Negative experience: I’m cancelling my membership as of today. First of all in terms of the facility, it smells like sweat and body odour, many of the equipments are barely wiped down with sweaty fingerprints. Their water fountain has pink mould and rarely/never gets cleaned. The gym is extremely small and the equipment is hoarded by many of the male members. In terms of surface area ratio to gym equipment, there is absolutely no room to work out peacefully without bumping into someone. The gym is messy and dirty. The hand attachments for the weight training are carelessly left on ground, frayed and never cleaned. The staff dont pick them up or do regular checks they just sit st the counter and do nothing. I dont think i have ever seen them wipe anything down. They take a $5 fee every time your payments don’t go through, however they don’t send a text letting you know your payment hasn’t gone through so you can rectify with your bank. How convenient of them. They only sent me a text today saying my payment could not go through, but the payment was supposed to be taken from the 28th of June. Yet no one contacted me about the payment not going through- Klayne’s excuse is that staff is not onsite during the time my payment did not go through, so therefore couldn’t send a text. I get a text ONLY today to let me know that the payment did not go through, they end up taking my regular gym membership fee and also the $5 late payment. If there is no staff onsite, maybe change your system to do automated replies so people have the chance to call their bank and rectify the issue. What a sad excuse just to take more money. I would definitely NOT recommend this gym. If you love a congested smelly gym with barely any space to do workouts without using a gym equipment, then this place is for you. The ventilation in this facility is atrocious you will be suffocated with Body odour. Customer service skills are atrocious and the staff have no ability to rectify problems.

Positive experience: The staff is friendly and professional, no doubt. However, the gym is too small and has very limited equipment. I decided to leave this gym for good because they also have a ridiculous direct debit system that doesn't withdraw funds even when you have them, and they charge you extra fees. This has been going on for months, and I'm extremely frustrated. At this point, I'm willing to travel a bit more to find a gym with a wider variety of equipment.

Positive experience: I like it for what it is, but coming from Liverpool Snap Fitness which is fairly new, I’ll admit I was a little underwhelmed. Equipment feels a little dated. Also, the fact that you can’t move the benches to the cable machines for certain variations of cable exercises, is frustrating. I was also disappointed that there is no seated hamstring curl machine. The staff are lovely, always a smile when I enter. 3 stars :)

Negative experience: Such rude customer service when I signed up I was in a locked in contract witch ended and I decided to keep paying for it and stayed witch they thought they could transfer my member ship and up my payments without even asking or talking to about it once I said to them that’s not right I signed up for that price u can’t changed it she then said yes she can because that’s what everyone else is now paying witch is unfair considering I signed up for that price I signed up for at that time she was then rude to me onwards because I said that’s not right u can’t changed what I’m paying that’s unfair also I’ve been goin to that gym for only a little because it was on my way home from work and notice they do not reinvest anything into the gym never buys any new equipment or any sort of upgrades I don’t know where all the money is going but besides that my local one I’ve been going to since I signed up reinvest the money into new equipment all the time elara snap fitness has such rude employees and just seems like they just want your money and nothing else with how rude they treated me once I said I won’t be paying more than I signed up for

Negative experience: The technogym equipment is honestly just horrible, feels cheap, plastic handles, stiff adjustments. The cable station similarly feels poorly built with the height adjustment being stiff and overall just janky. The squat platforms lack rigidity due to the soft padded floors. Rather than gym mats or horse stall mats they for some reason thought a padded floor would be appropriate for lifting weights. The safeties on all but one squat rack are inaccessible when plates are loaded on the side storage, making adjustments impossible. Overall the gym is relatively clean, however the equipment is utter garbage. Also don’t even try coming at 5-8pm, the gym will be packed like a can of sardines. Edit: In response to the owner; You cannot compare the technogym equipment to well made pieces from companies such as: Arsenal Strength, Prime Fitness, Hammer Strength, Atlantis Strength etc. Especially when World Gym marsden park Has an array of Arsenal strength equipment so there should be no issues with supply. Idk what specific pieces you are referring to in regards to the olympic games, I doubt there would be an event to see who calf raises the most weight. Everything i have seen from technogym just points to them being a cheap manufacturer that focuses on cardio equipment. Their treadmills are decent, but apart from that their weightlifting machines are junk with horrible movement patterns. Rather, lets see what the best bodybuilders are using currently: the most popular gym for mr olympia bodybuilders currently are: Gold's gym: has mostly hammer strength, cybex and other vintage machines, Dragons lair: has mainly arsenal strength equipment, Revive: mainly arsenal equipment, Torture gym: Newtech (up and coming korean equipment brand). Overall Arsenal strength gym equipment would have been the best choice, with select pieces from Atlantis, prime, and hammer strength. also even if you were required to use padding, That is entirely your own fault for choosing that location, and you could have atleast invested in some adequate lifting platforms rather than 3 slabs of wood. The gym is also packed so there should be no budget concerns. For reference World gym marsden park has much better equipment, whilst having more pieces, and their location would also be far more expensive. Within the snap franchise, Snap fitness Mt Druitt has better equipment. Edit no 2: what purpose do machines serve other than bodybuilding??? If you pose yourself as a CrossFit or strength and conditioning gym then surely there wouldn’t be pieces of paper taped to the wall saying not to drop any weights and there would be adequate lifting platforms that could withstand Olympic lifts. Further, how can you say that the technogym equipment is of high quality when even adjusting the height of the cable stations can cause the adjustment handles to come off, and when the peck Dec machine literally runs into itself before you can reach peak contraction. Machines are for bodybuilding, not for functional movement. You could argue overuse or beginner purposes but in that case the other brands are still higher quality anyway. Also like how you dodged arsenal and prime equipment seeing as they are the more higher end brands. Seeing literally only one brand of equipment in the gym already sets off red flags, there are absolutely no selected pieces, It is obvious technogym just gave you a good deal on the set.

Negative experience: We came down to Snap Fitness Elara today, and applauded by the service as soon as we walked in. The lady at the service desk, was rude as asked to see my friends and my Snap Fitness Scan Card. It would have been expected to be greeted in a nicely manner, because it was our first time coming to Elara. It’s also rude to just ask to see a The Scan Card, because how were we meant to come in if we had no snap fitness scan card ! Multiple people walked in minutes after and won’t bombarded by her, asking to see their pass, like we were!! Definitely never coming back to Elara! Just a few tips for your team at Elara This team member in particular needs to learn basic customer service skills and communication skills When someone walks in a simple Good morning/ good afternoon You guys must be new here ? Which gym is your home gym and create a conversation and then ask us for our gym cards (Which is still unnecessary) As a business owner myself this is not the way to deal with customers!
