Positive experience: I don’t always like the music they play so I wear my own headphones. Most things are available when I want to use them. They’ve recently added some new equipment. The most annoying thing is the extra fee (hidden fee) every few week they charge on top of their membership fee. I’d really love it if they were to add a spa and sauna.

Negative experience: Took out a month to month at this place and used it for a few months. came to cancel and they send out an email to say your last payment is a certain date so I stop going to gym from then only to be debited another 2 times after. When contacting them, they acknowledge an admin error on their side and say there is nothing they can do. Not good service, gym equipment is ageing and shoddy too.

Negative experience: If I could give less than one star I would. Have been a member here on and off for over 15 years so when I dedcided I wanted to start back again it was agreed that it would only be month to month. Now I have been trying to contact a member services consultant for over 12 months to assist with cancelling, and have not had one return phone call! Now in a legal battle to try and get direct debits cancelled!

Negative experience: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Anywhere is a better option to be honest. Forced me to sign up for membership on day one of FREE TRIAL- saying how it was a way better deal for me. After being a member for months and moving houses, I wanted to cancel my membership. I was then told I was in a contract and had a pay out fee of over $200... Which the contract or exit fee was never disclosed to me. When I asked to put it on hold I had to pay $5 per week still ... Then when I followed up after a regular payment was deducted, I was told I never made the previous call or put my membership on hold then hung up the phone one me. Later replied back with just an email saying exactly that and haven't replied back to my email reply for a week.

Negative experience: Took money out off my account after a free trial that I canceled after a day. I went in to the front desk countless times to get my money back and they kept telling me they will do it tonight and I’ll get an email and text confirmation…which they never sent me every time, they also now ignore my messages about this situation. So overall the worst costumer service I’ve ever experienced xoxo
Fantastic experience: the best gym i’ve been to (including other good life gyms) this one has the most parking acces, the most variety of equipment, 24/7 access, safe location so safe to come at night, there’s a ladies only section with like 10 different machines / treadmill & bike like a mini gym, a massive studio with full time access (perfect for me being a dancer can jump around yadiya), AWESOME personal trainers (shoutout conor you legend !!!!) and super awesome staff ! the vibe of the whole place is always good and never too packed !highly recommend !

Negative experience: Should have never joined. Equipment old and outdated. Now trying to cancel and having to pay a fee after being told we can cancel anytime. Don’t recommend.
Negative experience: Cancelled membership after a trial and they continued to charge me, even after I’d raised the issue and had a refund processed. Now at Kennedy’s, run by great local owner, welcoming staff and no joining fees, cancellation time period or charges.

Negative experience: I wish there was a zero star option! I am going on 3 months of chasing over due charges after my contract termination. Sarah and goodlife really need to reflect on their operational procedures and customer service. They have illegally taken funds and are now dragging their heels to return it. I have sent 18+ emails asking for the follow up the contract the approval code of the transaction. I own a business and this is not a fault but debit success but a reflection of their operations entirely. CHECK YOURSELF GOODLIFE.
Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve been to in years. The staff are all great and very welcoming. Special mention to Elysia for being the smile behind the desk and being very welcoming every time I train.
Negative experience: ****UPDATE*** Can confirm that they have direct debited beyond their agreed final debit day and beyond the 30 day cancellation period! Terrible place to train. Trainers don’t turn up for group sessions. Meanwhile the debits continue. Try cancelling your membership. It’s a complete joke. Terrible management. So many people I trained with have also moved on. Steer clear of this train wreck.

I highly recommend you look for a different place to exercise... despite telling the manager my concerns about the payments (because I had read all the negative comments they had here on google) she assured me that it was a thing of the past and that they had since changed Providers.... this was far from the truth... wrote inaccurate charges constantly calls from the payment center saying that our account and even when we closed the account they continued charging us.... we canceled the account 2 times in the office and still the matter is is not corrected!it's so annoying... please save yourself a nightmare and don't give them your business... it's not worth the hassle
Negative experience: The most horrible gym.. my partner stopped his membership last December, and he still got charged TODAY, we have communicated with the manager Sarah back and forth for several times and she said many times she will stop the payment immediately and give us the refund. However, today 16 March they still take the money out of our pocket… it’s a nightmare for customers

Negative experience: Was a member of this gym for a very long time. I decided to cancel after they cut many of their classes. Despite cancelling over 4 months ago, money continues to come out of my account. Each time it is such an ordeal trying to get the money back - I have to call multiple phone times, request multiple time to have goodlife send me an email confirmation so I have it in writing - yet nothing gets done. No refunds, no email confirmations. (Why do they still even have my bank details. That should have been deleted when I cancelled) Some shifty work practices or incompetent staff. I would not recommend at all. * a further two payments have been taken out since posting this review. Again, I have called the gym. They say they will sought it out and email me after the phone call (to have it in writing), and nothing.. seriously! The absolute worst!!

Negative experience: This gym is a scam, I was with them for approx 2 years and when i decided to quit the receptionist on the phone was extremely rude and i was continually charged over $80 after my payment period, I called over 10 times in attempt to receive this money i’m owed and they always needed to talk to the manager and adv they will call me back and never did or multiple times i was told a refund will be in my account within 10 days and never was. SCAM do not use this gym unless you want your money to be stolen
Negative experience: do not go in for a free trial, my wife was signed up ona 12 month contract without her knowledge , we are still awaiting a refund for the first payment taken its been 2 months and excuses every time we call, stay away , plenty of other great gyms in the area
Positive experience: I really like this good life gym ! It’s very spacious, a great range of machines and equipment, the staff a friendly and helpful. Much better then the inner city good life gyms which seem to be overcrowded at times and way smaller ! Will come back fo sure !
Negative experience: Signed up to the gym, I was told I was on the platinum plus and on a month to month contract. I requested a copy of my contract multiple times but was not given to me. I called another good life to check my membership status and in fact I was not on the member I was verbally told My staff. I cancelled within the 5 day cooling off period and have now been charged twice (so essentially paying for twice memberships now) This gym practices in misleading and deceptive conduct, they tell you one thing and do another! This is fraudulent behaviour and against the law! Do not sign up to this gym, there are plenty of other gyms out there
Negative experience: Management refuses to take account of direct debit, had to go through my bank to block them after cancelling during a free trial and continually charged for 8 months, currently gathering cases like mine as to bring forward to the ACCC and small claims court to prevent this from happening again.
Negative experience: Been a customer for approx 2 years. Gave 30 days notice as we we do not use the gym often. After approx 27 days got charged another months gym membership. I tried to get them to reimburse however they claim that because it was 3 days into the next payment month we we will not get our money back, but we could continue to use the gym for the next 3 weeks. Hadn’t been for such a long time, why would we use it for 3 weeks. Really disappointed as we hadn’t used the gym in so long. I’d rather donate the money to charity than they keep it.
Fantastic experience: Affordable, not crowded (at least between 7:30 & 9:30), great staff …. What’s not to like!
Negative experience: Worst experience with a first time sign up to a gym. I signed up explaining my working hours which were 12+ hours being day or night. I was told I'd have "all 24 hour access to the PTs and also the gym" only to find out that they can only fit me in within certain hours which I often couldn't commit to which I explained VERY clearly when signing up. On-top on that I've called to try and cancel my membership for months now when I have the time to, there is no one to answer the phone for cancellations. I'm now receiving threats from debt collectors for getting sucked in. I shall be taking this further and will come back for the outcome.
Negative experience: STAY AWAY - BEWARE........ If i could give this a zero star i would..... This is the most unprofessional company i have ever dealt with - including the management. We signed up with a weekly fee that was to be reduced after 4 weeks. After 4 weeks - full price kept being charged. After demanding the difference be reimbursed, was told we had to wait 12 weeks before the reduced rate comes into effect. Now after 4 months - we are still waiting on the reimbursement. Management - Take note. If your'e thinking of joining - LOOK ELSEWHERE....Save yourself the grief.

Negative experience: Signed up on a no lock in “cancel any time” deal. I have moved to another part of Melbourne and can no longer attend this gym so sent an email requesting cancellation of my membership. They advised they would continue direct debiting from my account for several weeks after my cancellation request (why?). I queried why as a no lock in customer should I pay any more and they simply stopped responding. I have since instructed my bank to block any further debits and have sent three follow up emails - all of which have been ignored, however, I continue to receive automated requests for payment. Absolutely pathetic business. AVOID.

Negative experience: Please read my honest review before joining Good Life Health Clubs. Recently, i visited the Good Life Chelsea Heights chain as i was after a gym membership. The guy offered me a four week free trail. I quote him saying "you can cancel a day before the fourth week and you wont pay a cent". He also pressured me to sign up on that day as it was a 'one day special offer'. He lied, they lied. BEWARE of these sales scams, they try to rope you into their contracts then gaslight you into believing that you misunderstood the terms. (Which they said they would update in line with the new offer). What makes things worse is the manager of GLHC doesnt have the decency of calling me to discuss the matter. I have literally had to contact her to see where i stand regarding the matter. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I am now left with a fee which i am preparing a case to send to VCAT. This isnt about money its about transparency and human decency. Do yourself a favoure try Anytime
Positive experience: The equipment are great, plenty of parking, easy access.. etc.. But my stars go for some of the great staff.. My PT is Brandon and he's brilliant. Adele and Mel are fantastic, friendly and helpful.. I rate the gym at 3 stars because of their business with Debit Success who are the worst payment company to deal with.. Unauthorised payments, penalties and incompetence in fixing mistakes are common with Debit Success and I believe that should have an impact on the businesses that engage them. If GoodLife had chosen some other system of payment, I would've rated them 5 stars.

Negative experience: The AC has been out of ORDER since gym reopened after lockdown. The tap water for refill is unfiltered and very WARM and is NOT cold enough to enjoy PRE or post workout. The steps in the group exercise rooms are peeling and a health and safety hazard and it really needs to be replace URGENTLY

Negative experience: 15 years as a member and incredibly disappointed. I joined the club in 2006. Over the next 15 years the club made no effort to make me feel valued. Eventually I decided to cancel my membership and was shocked when they charged me a cancellation fee. 15 years of loyalty right there... For the following 4 weeks I received countless texts offering me a discounted rate if I stayed on. Funnily the 'discounted rate' was more expensive than what I had been paying. Then the phone calls started... I received 5 phone calls from their retention team. Each time a different consultant offering a different rate, pressuring me to verbally agree to a new contract while refusing to confirm their offer in writing.
Fantastic experience: If you have a Goodlife membership that allows you to go to other Goodlife gyms! I suggest you have a field day every weekend and try different gyms than your own!! Me and my husband have been doing this and making the most out of the membership! Check out Wantirna Goodlife, it has a pool, BB Court, Tennis Court, a CrossFit Section, it has everything, sauna, steam, cardio and weights... you will love the gym more too if you change the scene occasionally!!
Negative experience: Ridiculously hot and stuffy. Some of the equipment is in fairly poor condition too. Wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Negative experience: ***WARNING*** THEY WILL TAKE MONEY THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM, KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! They have taken advantage of people during a pandemic where some people are struggling to make ends meet, and the club manager will lie and speak to people in a rude and unkind mannor, making you feel worthless. As you can see I'm not the first person to write this kind of review there is an ongoing pattern, please be warned and do not give them your bank details.

Negative experience: wow- what a shocking phone conversation. I was rudely hung up on by a consultant who seemed to speak over me when I called to inquire about a debit that made no sense. Her final words were " oh good bye" and slammed the phone shut! What a customer service disgrace and how entitled to feel that her needs were far more important than the customer who wanted some follow up as to why her account was being debited after cancelling it over 30 days ago. RUDE is even too nice of a word- how about performance management out of the role where customer service does'nt seem to need to be applied when cancelling, however so polite when they are trying to sign you up. To the woman on reception on Thursday 9th Jan who answered my call ill await an apology.

Positive experience: For group classes, the room is too stuffy. No ventilation. Smelly toilets too.
Negative experience: Beware of this club, force a trial user to sign up a plan on DAY ONE. Withdraw the rest of trial period after we did NOT say YES. Their manager pops up to give a reason of only long turn stay local residents can use this free trial voucher which issued with a premium member subscription. the T&Cs doesn't state any of this policy, Totally discrimination, reported to VCAT

Negative experience: Slack on guidance of potential new customer's/client's. Staff can't really answer all to many of your questions at all, if I'm going to hit a gym I have questions, I want answer's or I will decline membership and did here, only popped in dropping off a friend and they couldn't answer my questions so I said thank you and left

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars! The sales rep - Will - arrogant and pushy and didn’t want to let me read the t&c’s or explain the extra hidden fees they charge. He called my emergency contact to try and get them to sign up - desperate much?! The roof leaks when it rains, none of the machines are ever cleaned, oiled or serviced, they turned off reviews on Facebook because they had too many bad reviews. Some of the personal trainers are good but that’s about it. For a grubby hole it’s not worth what I’m paying to use it. Can’t wait to get out of my contract. Don’t sign up, you will regret it.
Negative experience: If I could give ZERO stars I would. Where to begin with this pushy salesman/gym instructor. He was rude, unfriendly and has no understanding of how to treat a customer. When I explained that I did not want to join any gym at the moment - he HUNG up the phone on me before I finished speaking. Prospective customers, please read the other reviews. There a number of gyms in this area where you will be treated with common courtesy.

Negative experience: Had the worst experience at this gym, the most arrogant woman on reception (Perms were out of fashion in the 80’s). I was in line listening to the way she spoke to the people in front of me. Rude Rude Rude and then what she said to me and how she said it Wow. Thought I was in line at Centrelink where she should clearly be lining up tomorrow. Dosent even deserve One star. Pathetic.
Negative experience: Went tonight to attend yoga class and join up with my partner and daughter - the most rudest women on reception (boofy hair) refused us entry due to not signing a 24 hour waiver ! Please explain what is that and the attitude was disgraceful - guess we won’t be joining ur club three new members walking away from one rude staff member - complete disappointment
Positive experience: Plenty of equipment
Negative experience: I have been a member since it opened and have not had a lot of help from the staff, they are all so busy doing their own thing. They'll give you one session and expect you to know what you doing. They should be walking around and helping people all the time. We are not the experts you are and that's your job we need to feel we want to come back but it's so. Please make some changes.
Negative experience: Facilities are great! But staff here really need to learn how to be friendly. Staff were always chatting away with each other. I've been to gyms where personal trainers would walk around and asked if people needed some simple tips or help even without paying extra. Doesn't hurt to be friendly and talk to your members.
