Positive experience: Using the gym whilst on holiday and convenient opening hours, been in around 5am ish 4-5 days a week. Good variable equipment but needs more weights, plus the air con and music to be on earlier in the morning. But otherwise a good gym With variety of facilities and friendly staff. Will be back again. A pay as you go service will also be a good option for the gym to offer.

Fantastic experience: Genesis fitness southern river is a great facility its a nice big gym it is always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a great range of modern equipment to suit every workout need. I specifically love the Reformer Pilates classes! The instructors are supportive the energy and vibe of the room is so calming. So modern. It’s adorable and The class time table is so various and works with my work schedule! What I really enjoy about Genesis Southern River is the sense of community – everyone from the staff to fellow members is so supportive and encouraging. It’s not just a gym, it’s a place where you feel inspired to achieve your goals! Would definitely recommend if you are committed!

Fantastic experience: Genesis Bailey Fitness in southern River is a great gym, supportive, friendly employees and atmosphere. The gym is kept nicely, clean and a large range of equipment to use. Genesis have great contracts that are priced well so you don’t need to break your budget, the staff do a great run through of your contract and how it works, money, payments and cancellations. I’ve been going for a few months and really happy with the results and the way the gym runs. People say it smells of body odour but it smells great, hygienic and cleaned well even by the customers, wiping down gym equipment after use ect. Highly recommended gym to go too. Good work

Fantastic experience: Joined about a month ago and absolutely love it. I go 5 - 6 days a week. All staff members are so welcoming and friendly as well as members I've interacted with and of course some good banter between us all! They have spray bottles everywhere and handed wipes after pilates class. Fitness classes are more my style so the variety is awesome. Group personal training, reformer pilates and fitness classes - body combat and konga are my favourites! I recently signed my daughter up too. The PT's are informative and encouraging. The vibe in some of the fitness classes is always on point too. Whoop whoop!

Negative experience: I would greatly not recommend this gym, they have continued to charge me after cancelation, and refuse to cancel, there still trying to get money from me! Guys be careful of places like this.

Negative experience: Be careful when you sign up. On the instance where you want or need to terminate your membership, there's a cancellation fee which is not mentioned in the membership form that you will sign. Only a handful of their Pilates instructors are good. Most are mediocre or bad. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: I used to go here years ago when it was Bailey, and it was ok then. Entered a competition last year on FB but all it does is open you up to mountains of phone calls for months on end. Pushy sales people who have a basic blanket approach to sales. I decided not to consider them just based on the phone interactions and amount of calls I had to block.

Fantastic experience: Biggest Gym I've seen thus far. They've got all I need! It feels so right to be with this Gym! I recommend it, go on and live your best life! I look forward to visiting this Gym multiple times a week! Keep it up!

Negative experience: Go here if you want to be forced to pay $300 for a cancellation fee after being told it was $170 (only allowed to cancel a contract after the contract ends which totals to $1420) good job baileys fitness management group for hanging up the phone after waiting 5 days for their call. sym

Negative experience: Stop calling me. And stop forcing people to sign up to your gym. I have never spoken to more pushy salesman than you guys. Why do you insist on continuing memberships and charging people when they have cancelled? If you continue your malicious practices, your business will go under. I do not recommend signing up to this gym. And before I receive a comment from you guys stating that you don’t find my name in your records, then let me tell you, it was my mum that went here. This was her experience.

Negative experience: They block paying customers for providing feedback on social media. I guess they prefer the feedback gets left as a public google review. Feedback, hygiene among some of the members is poor. Their odor consumes the entire fitness room. They need to put reminders about personal hygiene and body odor around the gym, on social media and via Email. Completely valid feedback. The body odor disrupts the entire gym. It's impossible to take deep breaths because the smell is so horrendous.

Fantastic experience: The consultant Iman has been amazing throughout the time that I've had a membership here. Very friendly and always checking up on me - always a nice chat! Thank you little friend Have been here pre-refurb and during the refurb. Happy to have stuck here as the refurb is amazing.

Negative experience: Would not recommend front desk customer service was shocking and was rude. Went in to sign up and basically got told I was wasting time and that they could have already clocked off and gone home.

Negative experience: Used to love Baileys Fitness, was excited and keen for the transition to Genesis but huge let down. The staff now and their customer service does not meet basic customer needs. One particular staff member was more worried about his employment record with genesis than giving my partner and I basic customer service. Had other bad experiences at this gym and this time don’t think I will be coming back

Negative experience: Poor hygiene. They need to strongly encourage hygiene among its members. When I went to anytime Fitness they had hygiene stations which included spray deodorants and signage about body odor. It's impossible to use your membership when some people refuse to wash themselves and let their body odor invade your personal space.

Negative experience: Got blocked for providing honest feedback on the Facebook page so now I have to leave feedback here because they block paying members from Facebook. The hygiene is terrible, do not join. Will be cancelling once my contract ends and I'll be encouraging the 10 plus ladies I do classes with to follow suit. Disguisting service, whoever runs your social media should be fired because you're going to lose members, immature behaviour to block people instead of listening to feedback and make the gym better for your paying customers that you rely on to stay open.

Negative experience: Extremely rude! Jaxon/Michael called me to inform topup of my existing membership so it includes reformer pilates.. he told me it will $34.95 /week. I told him straight away that it is too much for me. He kept on saying its cheap as they might increase it to $50.95. I had to tell him not every one thinks 34.95 is cheap. All the staff members I have dealt with till today have been very rude and condescending. The promises they make during the enrolment are false and no one cares anything more than money.

Negative experience: They won't let you cancel... I'm not good at saying no, and before I knew it I was signed upto something I didn't even want to be apart of. I can't afford it, as the information was giving to me wrong. They won't let me cancel it.. pretty much being robbed at this point. Just let me CANCEL.

Negative experience: Such a bad experience Beware before you freeze your membership. Spoke to one of the staff before going on holiday. He didn't mention anything about pro-rata!!Nothing mentioned on the website too!!Deducted pro-rata without informing after the freezing period

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership I. November and they continued to debit my account till May. I’m waiting 3 months after calling numerous times for them to sort out this mess and refund me the $$ . The best part is the entry Fob didn’t work either so was definitely cancelled!! Poor service happy to take your money. Go elsewhere your bank account is safer. When you refund me I’ll remove this post till then your service sucks!!!!

Negative experience: Sonja, who works in the reception of the club was extremely rude and condescending. On the day she called me to sign up for the club, she refused to let me hang up when I was due for a meeting and now when I try to cancel my membership, she is trying to put the blame on me and my 'family issues'. Terrible management and highly disappointing communication. Even the managers and other staff who got in touch with me were extremely derogatory, which was a 180 from when they kept calling me nonstop, so sweetly I might add, with a constant stream of sweeties, to sign up to the gym. Also, claims it's Australian Gym Policy to allow for 2 payments after cancellation, which from what I've read is completely false. This seems to be a recurring issue with many customers who join Bailey's. So, might be a good idea to provide better training to front of house employees or better yet, change the management. Update(22/03/2022): I cancelled my membership on 19/02/2022 and I have been charged thrice since then and I have been informed it is WA gym policy and based off the contract I signed. Again, such a good job by the Bailey's management. Hats off. P. S. The manager Brett is extremely rude and condeswas well. Definitely recommend staying away from these people.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in South of the River. So many classes to choose from. Body shred, body combat, body balance and so on. But Muay Thai class is the best for me. You get to lose weight fast, gain muscle and gain knowledge of martial art at the same time. Duk is the best trainer in Muay Thai class. He's patience, polite and always there to help.

Fantastic experience: Baileys fitness has been nothing but awesome to me. The Muay Thai class has been the reason I have been going and its great and you can't get a better trainer than Duk his level of skill and knowledge is world class he's also the nicest and most friendliest person, the overall vibe is great and I have had nothing but good experiences and praise. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: I first entered Baileys obese and my confidence at an all time low weighing over 100kgs. I had a goal weight of 70kg, the first few weeks I was training weights which did help lose weight but not at my ideal speed that I was looking for. I was approached by Duk the Trainer of the Muay Thai classes and he urged me to try a few classes to add abit more cardio to my weights after the first session I was hooked. With Duks genuine teaching style and the recovery advice I was able to build up my confidence and get to my ideal weight quicker than I had planned, he goes above and beyond for his students and I still go there everyday I can make it. Hes been helping me with one on one lessons which improved my fitness,mindset and overall skills drastically and am now able to compete in a muay thai event. This is my experience with Baileys and the muay thai program I strongly suggest this to anyone no matter age or weight to try it could change your life like it did mine.

Fantastic experience: I’ve trained Muay Thai at Bailey Fitness for almost 11 years now. The trainers are very professional and come from a traditional Thai background. The current trainer, Duk, is very patient and kind. Not only does he take multiple adult classes he also takes mini-muay thai. The kids get a lot from the training and clearly like Duk. The adult classes are at your pace. Duk will spend as much time with new people as he can. He has a education background (Bachelor of Education from Thailand). This comes through in his training methods. Duk is the ISKA World Champion as well as the WKA Intercontinental Champion in his weight division and won a gold medal for Wushu in the South East Asian Games. In the time I’ve been training Muay Thai at Bailey fitness I have had to undergo three knee reconditions and spinal fusion (work related). After each surgery the surgeons have remarked how Muay Thai has helped pre and post surgery. Further to that Duk will develop a program to assist in your rehab and monitor you during class. I’ve also trained with the two other Thai trainers, Puk and Mod. They are just as professional and passionate. There’s a great family vibe. I highly recommend Bailey Fitness and Duk.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for many years (Southern River) and I can't see myself ever giving my membership up here. Adam Bailey has looked after me very well and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is excellent value for money as the gym is awesome and has everything you need, there are heaps of group classes, metafit, metapower, body balance, pump and shred to name some plus my favourite the Muay Thai class. The Muay Thai trainer Watchara or Nicknamed "Duk" is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Duk is from Thailand and as authentic as a Muay Thai trainer as they come. In December 2020 he fought a global superstar Superbank to win and become the ISKA world champion! Duk has zero ego and is an absolute champion as a Muay Thai practitioner and as a human being, I can't say enough about this guy. I whole heartedly recommend this place especially if you wanted to give the Muay Thai a go. 5 stars..

Negative experience: I would never ever join this gym again. Just on the 9th of this month I got an email from them that my account was overdue, which I only saw yesterday. I called them to pay my overdue payment, and also wanted to cancel my membership for which they told me that it was a thirty day notice. I said no worries I’ll pay that but it comes to be that instead of two payments I have to make three payments which means not 30 days but in fact 45 days. All they care about is money, nothing else, pathetic customer service, it is a big no no for me. However the Muay Thai instructor Dong is good.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Bailey Fitness for over 8 years now and still loving it. Recent renovations plus the addition of some awesome artwork has kept my experience fresh and my motivation at an all time high!! Well done guys!!

Negative experience: I will NEVER EVER join a gym ever again. $420 in 6 weeks for start-up costs absolutely disgusted with this gym. I take partial responsibility because I didn't check the numbers if I had I wouldn't have joined I would've stayed where I was. Expensive lesson and the manager wouldn't let me out of the contract because I was outside the cooling-off period. Not an ounce of compassion, especially knowing that I am a single mum. When it comes to anything read before you sign don't get caught up in the excitement because there are salespeople out there that are so bloody good at what they do before you've finished you've sold your soul. Learn from my mistake.

Negative experience: You'll get better cardio running away from this club. After been sold a 6month only contract and paying upfront, I noticed monthly payments being taken from my account. I was told this was my error and after then being told to give 30days additional notice the payments are still coming out. They have been completely unreasonable identifying the sales rep sold the membership inaccurately and I still cannot get them to stop taking payments or refund me. Not worth the hassle, plenty of other gyms around to go to.

Fantastic experience: Great new equipment and facilities! Group classes are so much fun and the instructors are professional and cater to a wide range of fitness levels. Staff are all friendly and accommodating. Best gym I’ve joined in Perth so far. Would recommend!

When I was able to go i had Maddie as my personal trainer and I can happily recommend Maddie to anyone starting out. Shes vribant happy and you work hard but you see the results of the hard work paying of and you will also have a fun time doing the work outs.

Negative experience: My brother and I been with Southern river Baileys gym for over 4 years. My wife also started at the same date. Then she took a year off due to maternity. My wife and I went yesterday to get her rejoined. They were offering some packages which we politely turned down and asked them to put wife on the same contract as me. They asked us to pay $70 for joining fee plus $1 more weekly. Which didn't make any sense to me as to why my wife has to pay $1 more than I am and also $70 for rejoining?? The reason given was even more shocking, they said to cover significant renovation cost plus for setting up a direct debit. My wife had a valid reason to take time off from the gym. We did pay joining fees 4 years ago. Don't understand the concept of paying joining fees every time after a long break. Also wasn't able to articulate the reason for charging more for my wife. Very disappointed with the service. Despite getting messages from many gyms, we stuck with Bailey's to display the loyalty was the biggest mistake. Unfortunately got stuck in a contract. First thing I would do is change gym the very moment I get out of it.

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely loved going to Baileys in Southern River for the group classes, particularly muay thai. All the trainers and staff are great, and there is a really welcoming atmosphere that is non-intimidating but you can tell means serious business at the same time! Negative experience: I have reviewed a lot on Google and this is the very first time that I am giving a fat 1 star! Honestly, it would have zero if I could. The only reason it has 1 star is due to the decent instructors that they have. The most annoying part out of all of this is the annoying trickery contracts they get you to sign. First of all, let's start with their Groupon "deal". They immediately bounce to try getting you to sign up with them, classic of course. But they will say that they won't charge you for the month where the Groupon deal is. Well they did charge me and I had to chase up for close to like 3 months to get my money back. How is that professional? Let's not forget that the whole signup part is like you are signing up for a mortgage, so many signatures clearly to lock you in so many twists and turns in their contracts. Then there is the fob keys which they say they will pay you back when you return it. God, another mission! You have to be there at a specific time and day and sometimes the manager is not here. Blah blah blah. They are so quick to sign you up but they are garbage when it comes to honouring their words. All I am saying is I can't wait for my contract to be over because though the equipment are good, there is one thing that I hate is unprofessionalism.

Fantastic experience: When I moved to Perth a couple of years ago, I was keen to find a local gym that I would want to keep coming back to, and would treat me as an individual and not a number. Bailey Fitness (Southern River) is that gym! I've worked with many personal trainers in the past and had grown wary of the 'one size fits all approach' I'd received and the resulting injuries. At Bailey fitness I had Mike as a personal trainer. Not only did he personally tailor a program that REALLY worked for me, he went above and beyond what I would expect from any trainer. Bailey fitness has all the gear and the classes, but more than anything, it has the friendly staff who do really care about the clients and their results.

Fantastic experience: Recently started at Baileys after finding it difficult to train as much as I wanted to in a gym without a creche and flexible hours. Baileys, the manager and all the staff have been fantastic, always smiling and saying hi the minute you walk in, our daughter loves the girls in the creche and I feel comfortable knowing she is being well looked after while I train. The facilities are great and I’m so glad i’ve made the move!

Negative experience: The group fitness door for Southern River gym has been broken for 3 months. This is not a joking matter as we were trapped inside the studio last Sunday while doing a class. Nobody manned the Reception desk and some members were calling for help, I assumed to the management. We had to wait to exit until somebody opened the staff exit door from another side. After last week episode I would have thought the door would be fixed by now. Imagine my surprise, a week later, that it is not the case. Please please please have the door fixed. We have been unable to close the door so that outside noise doesn’t filter into our class. 3 months of the door not functioning has gone too long. Please maintain the property better in a swift manner, thank you.

Negative experience: [EDITED REVIEW] According to the policy I was not paying extra payments outside of my contract which I accept now but it could have been communicated to me better so there wasn't any unnecessary misunderstandings and stress on my part. I still stand by Bailey Fitness having one of the worst cancellation processes I've ever been through. Unnecessarily cumbersome. Manager has told me it's up to the Australian gym standards. Just because it's standard doesn't make it user friendly. My current gym allows me to cancel in 48 hours and with no cancellation fees, not 2 payment periods (4 weeks) in advance like Bailey's. Bailey Fitness is behind the times.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the 8 week challenges.

Negative experience: Signed up through Groupon for 1month free trail. They try to sign you up straight away. The baileys fitness contract didn't have correct pricing on there for your plan. You have a week to cancel other wise your locked in for 6 fortnightly payments which I gave over my credentials for auto payment. If your late to pay you get a $10 late payment fee added to your next bill which then you have to pay if not you don't have access to the gym which you still are paying for because it just gets added on to your bill. If you try in cancel there's early cancellation fees. Overall I was paying 37.50 a fortnight plus $15 to group on. When they added the late payment on to my account and locked me out I wanted out of the contract and they didn't even try to convince me too stay..

Negative experience: Bitter experience. Membership cancellation is terribly complicated. Forcing customers to pay fees after submitting the cancellation form. Very persuasive when joining but not stating all the hidden terms and conditions in the contract. Also, rushing to sign the contract without giving a copy and pretend they care for their customers although what they really care about is MONEY. The service is not genuine at all.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Baileys for a while now and love the place. The people and staff are awesome. Earlier this year I decided I needed a PT to help me with my goals. My PT, Kirsty Wood, has been amazing. She has helped me shred 12kg and built my confidence and self esteem. She is supportive and patient with me and even on my "off" days she is there supporting me and getting me through a workout with a smile on her face.

Fantastic experience: Bailey Fitness is a great gym, Personal Trainers are friendly and nice, they make you feel comfortable and motivated. They offered a wide variety of classes, everyone will find a class that suits. I have a been a member for over six years and I have meet amazing people at the gym.

I wouldn’t be where I am because of bailey’s gym, I’ve made plenty of friends, training with awesome Muay Thai trainers. Unfortunately, I had to cancel because I’m looking for a suitable Muay Thai time for me - tho, I had a hiccup during My cancellation in which the owner Adam Bailey managed to sort it out. Personal experience, everyone that I’ve met here are like minded, and the trainers especially, they all are very friendly, and no judgemental looks or what so ever! Anyway, thank you bailey fitness!
