Fantastic experience: It's always a great gym to utilize. The only problem is me being lazy

Negative experience: I signed up a year ago when i first moved to griffin. Gym is really small for $20 a week, expect to be waiting for most machines and weights, don’t get me wrong lovely people but I went a few times and then broke both of my feet at work. I went into Anytime when my feet were broken and asked if i could cancel as the doctor had informed me gym was a no go until i am signed off by physio. The worker at anytime told me i need to go back to the doctor (which isn’t free) and get a medical form to say i am unable to attend anytime fitness gyms due to an injury. I thought my feet in two moon boots would have shown that. I haven’t gone back in 10 months and just paying it off as they’re so tight on getting peoples money. Every other Gym i have attended it’s hassle free leave on the spot with a very small fee.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at this gym for about a year now. Customer service is always good, Jess and Dan are super helpful and friendly. It’s just easy to talk to them. I have such anxiety when it comes to gyms and crowds, epically noises- sensory issues. But I find Anytime Fitness a calm, welcoming judgmental free place- not like other gyms. If you have any questions Jess or Dan are always there to help you out, they’re so welcoming! I may have dropped my gym routine for a month, but the motivation emails you get “hey it’s been awhile where are you” is a friendly reminder to get back on track. I’ve avoided peak hour 3pm as it’s too busy for me sensory wise, but 4pm onwards is quiet, during the day and early morning. For a small gym it definitely provides some good equipment especially with the new Reno that was done last year which has made it feel fresh! Definitely consider Anytime for your gym, perks for the discount at Burrito bar for being an anytime fitness member- plus many other awesome perks!

Fantastic experience: Since joining the team at AF late last year workouts have been nothing short of fantastic. Dan and the crew have created an environment that is hard to beat, the feel around the gym is always extremely friendly and very supportive. Sessions are made easy with friendly and helpful interactions with staff and other members. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to be apart of the AF community.

Negative experience: Go somewhere where they care

Positive experience: I have been attending classes at the gym regularly for a while now. I look forward to the variety every single session and have seen some massive changes to my fitness and strength. Bonnie and Kristal are not only amazing trainers, but have become friends who I look forward to seeing. We have created a little community at each class and share regular laughs and triumphs!

Fantastic experience: As lady of a certain age, going back to the gym is both a mental and physical challenge. From the moment I walked in I was cared for and understood. At ATF Griffin the team will find a trainer who is best suited to you to support your individual journey. Mel is aware of my goals and needs, she understands my limitations and hesitations knowing when to push through psychological boundaries and when to celebrate. The staff create a genuine environment of care and if you want it, accountability. Thank you Mel for keeping me accountable every week and for stretching me when I need it and thanks to the team at ATF Griffin for creating an inclusive place to achieve your health and wellbeing goals. Fantastic experience: Where to start, Insanely clean at all times!! Great atmosphere, Awesome facility with Cables, Free weights, alot of free padded floor space and all the cardio machines anyone could ask for, The staff are super approachable and make you feel welcome, and even encourage you with you're goals! Very reasonably priced for memberships.

Fantastic experience: Newly renovated gym. Smaller than some other gyms locally, but this gives the gym a more welcoming feel, rather than just being a number. Great, friendly staff!

Fantastic experience: I have been using my home gym since Covid but recently had to sign up to a gym again due the home gym messing with my baby’s sleep. Really happy I signed up at AF Griffin! The staff are really down to earth with no egos and the equipment is fantastic. It’s made me feel more motivated to train!

Negative experience: Will send lawsuits if you try to get out of the contract, even if signed up not in a competent state, following with months of recovery. I signed my brother up to the gym with me, who I am the carer of. While he signed up he was having a bipolar episode which I had not realised the length it was at. A few days later he was committed to the hospital for over a month. We contacted the gym and explained the situation. They paused the membership for two weeks. Through this I wasn’t able to juggle everything and go myself. He stopped to pay it after he left the hospital, due to his state and financial constraints, as he didn’t sign up in a competent state to accept the agreement and then had little consideration after explaining what had happened. They ended up requesting a full payment of the contract. My brother and I both suffer from anxiety and ADHD. As a result of the whole situation, I have not been to the gym in months but am still paying for it off. Overall disappointing and uncomfortable situation. - Mikaela jade brown

They both have such an inviting and friendly nature and you can never walk in without being greeted with a smile. AF should feel privileged they have them as the face of AF Griffin! Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness is a great gym. Fair prices and of course so many locations you can visit, even interstate and overseas. However the Griffin location is a particularly friendly and supportive location. It’s conviennent and is a real pleasure to go get some endorphins.

Negative experience: Walking into the gym as someone who struggles with anxiety. It’s quite intimidating walking in and having every employee right at the doors and blocking most of the path way to get to any equipment or to fill up your water bottle.

Fantastic experience: Truly love AF Griffin! This place is my fave area in my neighbourhood to spend my free time and maintain my body fit! Also, all of the staff are friendly and approachable! And all the equipments are so fine!

Fantastic experience: Amazing club even before the reno! Everyone from the owner (Lachy) to the managers (Dan and Jess) to each one of the personal trainers (Lisa, Heidi, Dylan and Rob) has made it such a comfortable place to train. Everyone supports each other and wants nothing more than to see you achieve your goal. The new layout and the new equipment just adds to the already amazing atmosphere.

Negative experience: This used to be the best gym to go to as it was quiet after 8pm since it’s a small gym too, made it easier to use all the machines or not wait too long for one. Last night was the first night I’ve gone after the renovations and I don’t know what the deal is but it was nearly 9pm, super crowded for a small gym, mostly teenagers hovering over one machine at a time in big groups making it so hard to use a machine. I was there till after 9pm and it was still cramped up. So not peaceful anymore. I don’t know how much later I can go there to workout in peace.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for about 4 years I think. I just realised not all gym has well padded or cushioned floor like here. I can work out in peace of mind. And when you do cardio on a treadmill or machine, you've got a view which is quite pleasant and satisfying. I am just wondering if you could consider putting a little stool or anything that may help members wear their shoes after shower without having to walk out and sit on a couch in front of the water dispenser. Just a thought.

Negative experience: WORST WORST WORST gym ever does not care about the way customers are treated only cares that they get there money - MONEY MONEY HUNGRY. tiny gym, have to wait for equipment, smells so bad if i could give this place a 0.1 star rating i would. BEWARE BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

Fantastic experience: Griffin is the absolute best gym I’ve ever been to. It’s incredibly clean, bright and well managed. The equipment range is fantastic and the space is really well thought out. The facilities are pristine. The overall vibe is friendly, supportive and welcoming. My training has improved ten-fold since starting here. I never want to go anywhere else. Thanks, Griffin!

Negative experience: Cramped small gym, lucky to get on a treadmill or get near the weights most nights. Toilets are usually pretty gross and often you can smell them wafting into the gym, or that could be some of the members who don't wear deodorant, either way the staff don't seem to mind the smell. Just another quantity over quality gym where the more members you can cram in the better for their pocket, or has gone that way over the past 6-12 months. Overall the gym has gone downhill and you're probably better off heading to a bigger gym with more facilities even though it may be slightly more out of the way.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly gym with most members being very considerate and polite. Team members and owner Lachy always willing to help you out as needed and keep the gym clean and in good order. Afternoons can get a little busy otherwise you can generally get the equipment you're after without waiting too long.

I was hesitant to step foot into a gym due to hearing horror stories from friends, but I’m glad I did and I’m glad I made the choice to join Griffin. The staff are extremely supportive and friendly. I couldn’t of done the last year without the support and persistence from Dylan Covill-Paul, Dylan is a great trainer. I began my weight loss journey with him and I’m extremely happy with my results so far. I can’t wait to see what the next year will bring!

Fantastic experience: I've attended this gym now for a little over a year. Started at 94 kilos and am now 75kg - and I believe the inviting nature of the gym and the friendliness of the staff have been a huge component to sticking to my goals. I've gone to several gyms over the years, but this is the first time I've been able to make a habit out of going, and I think because these guys have managed to create a really unintimidating environment. The place is ALWAYS spotless, and I've never felt wanting for equipment, as it appears to have everything covered. There's a lot of negative cliche's that can befall gyms, but Anytime Fitness Griffin doesn't appear to suffer from any of those stereotypes. I can genuinely say that this gym has played a role in changing my life.

Fantastic experience: Anytime fitness is the absolute bomb in general, I’ve been to 3 in my life-span. However, Anytime at Griffin has been an outstanding experience which is just testament to their incredible staff. Not only are they committed to helping members achieve their health and fitness goals they are also masters at building rapport and positive relationships. Personally since coming to this gym my confidence has sky rocketed and I have never felt more comfortable. Absolute rockstars in the field! If you hate or love this gym and live on the Northside then take it from me, this gym is 100% for you.

Fantastic experience: I transferred to this gym from my previous one, and I'm so glad I did. It's 5 mins from my house (20min walk) and it has been very motivating for me to stay on track. Since joining I have loved the environment and atmosphere of the club so much, I've signed both my girlfriend and best mate up too. If you're looking for a welcoming, fitness family this is the gym for you. They have classes (HIIT, boot camps and functional fitness) to keep you active. As well as a wide range of machine and free weights equipment. (Open 24/7, staffed 6 days a week, free weights, classes, showers and bathrooms)

Positive experience: Clean and well maintained. The majority of my interactions with staff have been positive and helpful. Main limiting factor is space for extra equipment - shoulder machine would be good, a weight sled outside and a reverse hyperextension especially would be the bomb. Overall though there is a pretty good range of equipment to cover most things.
