Fantastic experience: I love EMF. It has everything I need for a really great price. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Negative experience: Now the pictures speak for them selves, There is a reason why they say to wear socks on the playground! That’s is so you don’t feel all the rat poop under your toes when walking around the ball pit. There is so much of it, if you don’t manicure your toe nails mice poop will get stuck in between them. This was our second time visiting, thank god my wife removed her socks otherwise we wouldn’t have known what was on the floor. It’s not something I go looking for because i know no playground is perfect and clean,this particular experience has the poop award of year!! I could be wrong they could be some type of cleaning pellets that absorb moisture and bugs!! I never bagged any to test its compound. Now if you have a toddler who crawls through the ball pit keep a good eye on them, the rat poop could be mistaken for chocolate chips and if your baby needs a dummy they will surely pick one up while having fun. I wouldn’t want to see the ball pit at night I could guarantee it will come alive, maybe that’s apart of a feature for night private times that like to watch a mouse show. I’m sure Chester and his friend Mighty Mouse will turn up. Wish I could give half a star but 1 ⭐️ is better than nothing

Positive experience: Gym members are very respectful in terms of using towels, putting equipment back in the rightful spot. The gym is always neat and tidy. Music could be a little more motivating. Overall it's a great gym

Negative experience: I’ve been going to EMF because it’s literally next to my house, but honestly, I should have canceled my membership sooner. The machines are dirty, the gym is filthy, and there’s basically no soap or toilet paper in the bathrooms. Some machines, like the treadmills, are fully broken or don’t incline properly for walking workouts. The atmosphere and staff are very unwelcoming; they look at you as if you are an idiot. Most of the staff is very young and poorly trained, resulting in subpar customer service. The worst part is that I had to pause my membership for three months. When I asked about it, they said it was free of charge, but I later realized it’s $1 per day. This fee was never mentioned by the reception staff, or I would have canceled my membership immediately instead of paying $1 per day for three months. I would not recommend emf at all unfortunately…

Negative experience: Have waited years and years for EMF to upgrade their badly worn equipment, or at least repair the many machines that are in horrible condition. Have you seen what Club Lime just did across the street in Oasis? Absolutely beautiful reno and all new equipment. Would be nice to have a response from the gym management stating why the equipment is never repaired or kept in nice condition. Everything is literally falling apart! Some machines have bent frames. You won’t even replace the tangles cables on the weight plate pins. You are in danger of losing many subscribers to nicer Gold Coast gyms. EMF has gone from one of the best to one of the worst.

Negative experience: I and my 2 sons have been using your service and Platinum membership at EMF Pacific Fair since 2018. And you still find a way to charge us $4.40 for this ridiculous dishonour fee, that we paid on the exact same day. Last year, we have given you a second chance after our son had to leave a 1 star review for your gym and involve your management team to refund that back to us. And this time you let us down once again. You deserve this 1 star review for just how disrespectful you treat your 6-years customers that paid your exorbitant membership every month. Shame of a business!

Fantastic experience: Jayden and Hayley were absolutely fantastic in welcoming me and signing me up. Very polite, courteous and professional throughout. Great staff and would highly recommend the facility too

Negative experience: The gym has good equipment but the lack of maintenance is atrocious.Nothing ever gets fixed Upholstery that needs fixing takes months and there has been a drink fountain out of order for a month with no signs of fixing.That leaves just one working and everyone has to que.Surely with the top dollar that they charge, they could step up. They have since fixed the upholstery issues and the drink fountain,but half the fans do not work and there has been a TV out for over a year.The Abductor machine has also been out for months with no sign of repair!

Negative experience: My three years at EMF Pacific Fair were marred by broken equipment, overcrowding, and an unwelcoming atmosphere, exemplified by the mistreatment of two of my friends (a gay couple) by one of the trainers. Overall, not worth the price or the hassle.

Negative experience: Sauna is out of order with no perspective of being fixed. What a great gym.

Fantastic experience: Tried a few gyms, and this is my favourite. Plenty of equipment, chill atmosphere, bonus points for cranking the hip hop at the gym.

Positive experience: Good gym with all the equipment you need. Prices are competitive for 24/7 gym with multiple locations on the Gold coast. Staff are always friendly. Being at Pac Fair is handy cos you can duck to the shops before or after a workout. Free undercover parking as well! I'd give it 5 stars but the only thing that it's really lacking is more space. During peak time it gets really packed and it can feel cramped with so many bodies in one place.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of EMF for 3 years now, and recently moved close to the Pac Fair gym. I have loved being able to still attend Aerial and Hot Yoga classes - the instructors and awesome and we have a great community feel!

Negative experience: Update: As of today 02/07/2024, my family was once again charged an unreasonable $4.40 fee, despite the fact we have made the payment to your gym on the very same day of the subscription for our membership. This is incredibly disrespectful to your long-time customer! My mother, I and my older brother are members of EMF Pacific Fair, but every month there have been serious issues with the payment process. Despite the fact that we have the monthly payments on-time and successfully, my mother was still charged a dishonour fee. This is not the first time, but the 3rd and 4th time throughout the duration of our memberships. Last couple months, the EMF staffs were more responsive and helpful around this issue, as they have written email to the direct debit companies on our behalf to refund the dishonour fee $4.40 to my mother's account. But today 21th June 2023, when I visit EMF Pacific Fair, the onsite staff and the manager refused to help us with contacting the direct debit company, and instead blame the responsibility on us to contact them. My family is very upset and disappointed at the lack of support and responsibility from EMF Pacific Fair to rectify this issue, This incorrect fees charging problem should have been your responsibility to resolve for your customers, it is unacceptable to push it to your customers!

Fantastic experience: Great service

Negative experience: This gym in not gay friendly! After two years of membership I found myself forced to end my contract. Been verbally abused by a trainer, and really felt that the situation could escalate easily. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone being part of the LGBTIQA+ community.

Negative experience: The most rude and closed minded trainers/ front desk staff I ever encountered. After two years in this gym, and been once again abused and bullied it’s time to end my membership for good. It’s unacceptable that a company allows this type of behaviour. Simply not acceptable.

Fantastic experience: Best gym on the East Coast….legendary staff and incredible facilities, super high recommendation

Negative experience: normally I go to the respective Robina & Nerang emf facilities and when going to this one after work I was surprised at how over crowded and cheap this gym is compared to the others, the space isn't as big which is obviously out of the companies hand but the choice of equipment in certain areas and the over crowding equipment and machines could most definitely be changed, weights are all out of their respective spots and equipment extremely worn-down. please take a visit to the robina / nerang gym as this one definitely needs some adjustments

Positive experience: For god sake please change 70s and 80s jazz and kids song it feels like i am in some 10 year old kid’s birthday party, like you guys running gym or birthdays?

Negative experience: Rude stuff, incompetent and without values, I ended up canceling my subscription because I was going to work in the mines for a while, so a boy, asked me why are you leaving? for how how ? And started to ask me to many questions to convence me to don't leave and put on hold, so he convenced me, then right before 2 weeks after I broke my collarbone and came to the office in the sling to say I needed to be on hold longer because of that I should rest for 3 months! so they asked me for a medical certificate because otherwise they didn't want to! I think that in a business the client comes first and it seems disrespectful that they didn't trust me but anyways even so, I gave them the medical certificate and when they felt like it they started charging the weeks, I sent them a message saying that it couldn't be that I'm off work, I'm not working and I can't go to the gym, I gave them another certificate from the hospital and they tell me that they don't want to give me my money back and from now on they won't charge me but already took my money and couldn't join it, they have charged me face to face when they didn't I have been able to go to the gym and they do not want to return it to me even by providing them with the documentation that they ask for. I am really disappointed with the values ​​of the company. I will certainly not recommend the gym to anyone, the staff is also very incompetent. At least they should give me two weeks free, which is what they have charged me for! I really feel cheated by the gym and not valued when I have been a client of theirs for 3 years. They should look after the customers but they don't even care! Not happy with the service

Negative experience: The RUDEST front desk staff I have ever encountered in my 15 years at the gym. The guy that can’t even say hello or politely greet members as they walk in. Lovely way to start people’s morning (NOT). Every day I walked in on my trial, I was looked at like what are you doing here had to remind them everyday I was on trial. The most unfriendly gym I’ve been to. Because of him all 3 of us walked out the door mid sign up because of how rude he was to us. Management need to consider all the reviews about their unfriendly staff and do something about it If they want people signing up.

Positive experience: my partner and I paid to train for a week and on our last day, we were told by one of the staff members that our week membership would be extended by a day. upon arrival for our *new* last day to train, we were informed by her supervisor that this shouldn't have happened and subsequently would have to pay for the day (albeit we were offered half price). we were disappointed and inconvenienced. overall, good facility but poor communication. in the end, we decided not to pursue the day offer at half price or to join this gym.

Fantastic experience: EMF never disappoints! Whether you're after functionality or strength training, EMF has it all the staff are always willing to assist and the equipment is maintained well! Happy customer!

Negative experience: My wife and I went in for a free 3 day trial that was advertised online and was told it didn’t exist. They sold us a $10 trial and when we walked out a few minutes after entering because we didn’t like the atmosphere. The front desk employee was rude and couldn’t believe we didn’t like it. He also did not give us a refund and was very cold with us. Horrible customer service.

Negative experience: The music is horrible if you forget your earbuds you can't work out sometimes they put in the weight room music for cry... The should change the music lists... This is important to have a good mood to work out hard, I don't want to feel I am in a romantic dinner

Negative experience: Defensive contract post sales care or should I say, (don't care), will sue you and ruin your credit rating which I love because I'm just as litigious and will defend my position. I acquired an injury which was alerted to staff then completely ignored on the record (Duty of Care? hmmm). Removed services from membership, Sauna and Steam room not functioning as well as classes.

Positive experience: Good gym, has almost every thing!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the customer service. I left the country last month so I called the gym to cancel my "no contract" membership before leaving, the guy on the phone clearly told me that "it's all good". Today I got an email asking me to pay $263 and telling me that I'm a liar because they don't do it over the phone... Well you did! I know you are a business and making money is your number 1 goal but ripping off people is another thing... you should clearly train you staff a little bit better especially with communication !

Negative experience: Just went in to EMF to sign up as a new member. The guy behind the desk was simply not interested. You’d think after the past 18 months of trade a gym would be happy to have new business? Try harder EMF if you want my business

Positive experience: Good gym, and most of the equipment that you need. Gets very crowded though even during the day.

Negative experience: Why are your staff not wearing mask? Saw two girls in uniform with no mask wandering through Pacific Fair and the two two at reception had them around their chins. Please address this as it is an expectation of everyone to meet this requirement within the community.

Negative experience: Poor quality equipment, overcrowded with people flexing in the mirrors and taking videos of eachother wouldn’t recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: Good, prefer the classes but for a gym in itself it’s really good!

Negative experience: Why do you charge 50% more on a weekend? FIFTY PERCENT. Show me another business which does this. It’s unabashed gouging. Disgusting. I asked the girl if the facilities are 50% better on the weekend and she was unable to form a sentence let alone provide an answer.

Negative experience: I'm not even a member but money was being taken out of my bank account for months due to an admin error and continued even after I reported the theft. Still haven't been refunded after 20 days of emailing and asking for a status update. You can see from their response below how poorly they grasp customer service. I am not a member, I do not train. They charged me FOR SOMEONE ELSE"S MEMBERSHIP and did not even apologise for this.

Fantastic experience: I used EMF in January whilst staying on the Coast and I must say it was excellent. Plenty of equipment on hand and always kept clean. Staff and members mostly friendly. Mornings and peak times can be busy though.

Negative experience: Two main concerns: It is not safe enough and bad customer service. For the safety I saw some people sneaking into the GYM and they are not members. I told the supervisor staff and the did nothing about it. The customer service is inconsistent, while they charged me extra $20 to replace a lost swipe card they didn't charge a friend of mine for the same. The sauna is really small and not practical with current covid situation. Only two toilets available so really not practical for a GYM.

Negative experience: I have Contact them i have cancelled my membership 3 years ago. Recently i found them still charge me. I am lodging an dispute. And they dont care just charge me all the time. This Centre never ago as they will charge Without your authroisarion.

Positive experience: Great fun for kids with lots of different areas. The staff at the front counter were friendly and helpful. $15 for unlimited play was excellent and the $5 for the grip socks was reasonable. There was a large amount of rubbish around one of the bins right near the entrance for the almost 3 hours we were there which was a bit off putting.

Positive experience: Good equipment, nice staff.... but the music.... Wow, i felt like i was at an 8 yr old girls birthday party, absolutely horrific.

Fantastic experience: Clean, modern feeling. Thoughtful amenities like a sauna and steam room go a long way. Bathroom sinks could be a little wider, but the waterfall style shower heads feel fantastic. Brad in reception is helpful and an overall gem.

Negative experience: Not a good vibe, too many show offs plus can barely use an equipment unless you go 12 midnight gym is all yours.

Positive experience: Really crowded, not much space to move around and machines are super close together... It was ok place, machines are new and place looks clean...you will get your workout done but just not the best in my opinion...

Fantastic experience: Been at this gym for nearly a year. The staff are always really friendly and it’s a good environment where I feel comfortable. The equipment is also really good (and modern) and the facilities are great (sauna, showers etc).

Negative experience: The good: Wide range of machines available. Group fitness instructors are knowledgeable. Place is clean and has air conditioning. The bad: The place is always busy - good luck finding the squat rack empty. It is a very crowded and small gym. Also quite expensive - $60 for a 1 week visit with 24hr access, whereas at home in Auckland (a larger city than the Gold Coast) it's $15 p/w for a similar sized gym.
