Negative experience: I requested a cancellation and received confirmation via email and text, yet deductions have continued for over a month. As I am not currently in Australia and unable to visit in person, I have been contacting you via email, but all I’m told is to wait, with no actual resolution provided. The following week, another deduction was made. Are you actually working on resolving this issue? Over $100 has already been charged even after the cancellation.

Fantastic experience: Signed up for the 3 day trial last week and then went on to sign up for their membership. Loving my time working out here :) Spacious, clean and a good variety of group classes. The service has been great from the start. The team are very friendly and helpful - I interacted mostly with Aidan and he is great! Very good facilities too equipped with a steam and sauna room. Recommend this gym to everyone.

Negative experience: THE WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. They don't care if customers want to freeze or cancel their memberships. They play with customers and memberships and do whatever they want to do. I went to the centre on 4th July to cancel my membership and the staff offered me membership freeze for 3 months. But the fees had been withdrawn 2 weeks after then. Then I called and talked to the staff i wanted to cancel membership and he said cancelation can be done after 4 weeks notice but he'll make it 3 weeks because the payment was made when my membership was supposed to be paused. And this 3 weeks were supposed to start at the end of July after my membership freeze but payment hadn't been made until 8th August. I called the centre to ask if my membership will be really cancelled after 3 weeks because I couldn't trust the staff here, and the staff told me that manager will call me back when they come back from break. They didn't. I called again and was told manager will call me the next day. And THEY DID NOT. And then I requested cancellation in October and I was in a month of notice period, I called the centre and talked to the staff I wanted to keep the membership. They said they can do it and then I've just got an email saying that my membership has been closed. I emailed once to ask about the membership at some point of this whole messed up communication but never got a reply.

Negative experience: They lie about the 3 month program. I explicitly asked the manager, is this gonna finish after 3 month? And he reply Yes. My surprise to find out I had to pay an extra month after (on my holidays) because I didn't cancel my 3 month program when I was 2 months ! ... why do you lie and just are clear from the beginning? Do you really need 1 month of money ? Wouldn't you prefer to keep the clients ? This is unacceptable

Negative experience: Good luck trying to cancel a contract here. 0 empathy and very cunning Not surprised to see other reviews below just like my story! They only care about how much money they can get from you. I was only there under a month before I reached out to cancel. Will drag things out to keep you accruing debt and to the point of sending you to a debt collector to get more out of it rather than just sending a bill to cancel . When I was in financial hardship and had lost my job and no longer was in that area, injured my back also and had a centtelink medical certificate as i couldnt work and still awaiting a surgery, their repsonce also to that was useless.. it was to just go on a 9 months medical freeze or pay it... like i didnt just say i am no longer in the area! Took them months to tell me i could cancel with a medical certificate too, except by that time I was over it, already had am ombudsman working with me who said my centrelink cert can't be used and I am tired of this back and forth and i asked to just get the bill to cancel. They send me out a complete contract statement of 1000 plus to pay. Say it's with a debt collector and contact them. Then a few weeks later I start getting debit fail emails again after I was told it was sent off to debt collections The most hilarious part when I reach out in responce to the failed debit "3. If you are experiencing difficulty keeping up with regular payments they may be able to offer a suitable payment plan. This will avoid escalation to an external collections agency." THEY GAVE ME ABSOLUTELY NO OPTIONS Like you had a customer willing to pay the arrears and cancel fee and chose not to ao you could get a full contract payput instead. Says something about their ethics.

Negative experience: Edit: still no contact, and STILL being charged even though I have been here for over 18 months. So disappointing that they won't let me leave.. Dont trust this gym! I joined the platinum with assurance that I could downgrade at anytime without having to reset the 18 month time constraint. When I asked to downgrade I was told to sign another contract (for the cheaper membership) and now, after I have been with them for over 18 months, they will not let me cease membership without paying additional funds. I have tried to see them face to face, where I was told they would 'get back to me' and via phone where I was also told this. Though noone is getting back to me and they are of course still charging me. SUCH a shame. Misleading, poor communication and poor client services/care.

Negative experience: This gym is an absolute joke. With thousands of members, they’ve got ONE Smith machine and ONE lat row machine—what a rip-off. Don’t waste your time or money here; they only care about your cash, not your experience. The equipment is old and faulty, and the bathrooms look like they’ve never been cleaned. It’s a complete mess. Save yourself the frustration and find a gym that actually invests in its members.

Negative experience: If you want to do reform pilates it’s great value compared to other providers and the instructors are really good - I especially liked Amy and Kirsten. Bodypyump with Bel and Amy is awesome too. Unfortunately I had the same experience as others when I looked into the complementary quarterly coaching under my contract to better meet my body’s needs. Despite following up in person with the club manager or front desk I was not called back by the coaching manager until the fourth week after I mentioned writing a review. This was the second time I looked into this and first time I gave up because it was too hard and I didn’t have time to resolve. The club manager did not return calls and I found the coaching manager’s customer service was rude and, like others, I was spoken to as if I had done something wrong . I was offered opportunity to leave with no ongoing fees or penalties which I jumped at. To balance this out Rich, Sunday reception tried to help and is great but could only pass messages on for managers to call back. I’ll miss reform pilates and body pump but I needed some customer service to enhance my fitness too. customer service 0 stars. Reform, Bodypump and Rich 5 stars.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. They just want to it money and try to trick you into different contracts. I was trying to cancel my membership as I moved and could not make the trip to go there anymore and the response I got from the employees was shocking. They apparently signed me up for another 18month contract when all I wanted was to downgrade my membership, and so when I tried to cancel it they said I had to pay more because of how long I have on it. No one wanted to help, I had to follow up multiple times about my membership. They all made me feel like I was doing something bad just because I wanted to cancel my membership. When I finally got onto a manager to explain what has happened, she quickly interrupted and said she was “busy” and would call me back later that day… she never did and I tried calling multiple days after and no response. Very frustrating process and has made me realise what this club is actually like and how they treat their members. I normally don’t leave these kind of reviews and give people the benefit of doubt, but this was ridiculous and I know I should make people aware of it.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t even bother if you have a fitness passport and want to use on the weekend. 3 hour window to train on a Sunday as you have to train whilst a staff member sits at a desk.

Negative experience: What sort of gym does not have a process for providing members fitness assessments and workout programmes?Goodlife, despite asking for a members to complete a questionnaire for them to detail their current fitness and their fitness objectives, has no procedure to enable members to get a fitness assessment and workout programme. I was sold a package when I explicitly asked for this and then was subject to aggressive selling techniques from a personal trainer that told me he was not being paid for the 2 meetings we had to discuss goals and objectives (the same information collected from the questionnaire) but said he was unwilling to provide me the program he was preparing as I would not sign up to ongoing personal training with him.

Negative experience: I have been a member of this gym for some time and attend intermittently hoping the cleanliness standard may improve. However this morning the bathroom floor was filthy and the room where the group classes are held had a distinctively unclean odour. When I rolled up my personal yoga mat it was covered in hair and dust. When I approached the manager regarding cancellation of my membership, her overall Customer service standard was appalling. This gym has an excellent location and parking facilities, so much going for it but managed poorly.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Maroochydore has such a great atmosphere and lots of variety. My favourite is the Reform Pilates and Kim is THE BEST instructor. She gives different levels for each exercise so you can tailor it to your own needs. Every class there is someone who will have a laugh (or you can just put your head down, do the class and go onto the next thing). Love the option for a steam room or sauna after a workout too!

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff members that listen to your concerns and address issues within a timely manner
Negative experience: Almost impossible to cancel membership. I "transferred" it to a friend as they suggested and they simply gotta a membership to her and did not cancel mine. After the contract expires, you call them to cancel it and they keep find excuses to not cancel it.
Negative experience: I have been a member since 2019, when I first started it was great. The childminding service had was great. The biggest mistake thr goodlife could do get rid of the childminding service. The equipment old needs updating. The bike. Seats are always broken and wobbly. I use to like going to the gym, but the one in Maroochydore is not very good anymore. I’ve just cancelled my membership and going elsewhere that has a childminding place.

I visit the gym twice in person asking to get my membership cancelled the first time on October and the second time on December and I’m still getting charged for it. Horrible customer service and no respect for clients. Do not recommend the gym at all!!! Hopefully I will get the refund after this feedback.

Negative experience: I'm sharing my profoundly disappointing experience over the past 11 months, and if it were an option, I'd rate this gym in the negatives. A notable incident exemplifying the lack of customer care occurred when I arrived a mere 2 minutes late to a reforma Pilates class. Despite my prompt arrival, my spot was given away, showcasing an appalling lack of flexibility and understanding from the management. On top of this, I've faced recurring issues with membership fee errors. Despite my persistent attempts to resolve them, the problems persist, leading to ongoing and frustrating inconveniences. As a paying member, I've yet to receive the promised starter pack, including two personal training sessions initially and every three months thereafter. This consistent failure to deliver on promised services deepens my overall dissatisfaction. To add to my disbelief, when I requested to end my membership today, the manager, Greg, informed me of a staggering 6-month cancellation fee. This is beyond belief. Consequently, I'm left with no choice but to escalate this matter and raise a dispute with the ACCC. This entire experience has left me questioning the value of the services provided by GoodLife Gym. I strongly advise potential members to reconsider before committing to this establishment.

Negative experience: This gym hasn't updated its equipment in a decade. Even things that are a cheap fix like hand straps for cable machines are tied in knots instead of replaced. Equipment isn’t put back and even the trainers don't bother. The staff is pretty unmotivated too. And other goodlife gyms offer cheaper memberships which sucks. Other than that it's OK.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding value for such great facilities and atmosphere. I basically go just for the Sauna steamroom area and that alone is worth the fairly cheap weekly fee. Gym facilities themselves are more than enough for anyone. Win win.

Negative experience: "This is a terrible experience. My girlfriend and I have been under tremendous stress in the process of changing and putting our membership on hold. They don't seem to be proficient in using email, and it takes us up to 10 inquiries just to get anything done. We want to cancel the membership, but the cancellation fee is $250, so we are unable to do so and we regret it deeply."
Fantastic experience: An exemplary establishment to physically improve yourself as a human being. A wide-ranging selection of equipment, space and facilities. Plenty of parking, affordable memberships and a clean environment. Keeping to yourself or bouncing about as a social butterfly; the staff reciprocate and respect your flow. Would highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Maroochydore is a great place to get fit. Whether you are doing classes, strength training or doing cardio. You are always welcome at the front desk with a friendly smiling face. The staff there are amazing, they are there to help any way they can. My PT sessions are amazing. I train with my son who is hearing impaired and uses Auslan sign language. Our PT Glyn is learning Auslan to communicate with my son. Everyone is so dedicated. Thankyou Goodlife x
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Goodlife Maroochydore. The trainers are all great, committed to your health and fitness. The classes continually evolve and push you out of your comfort zone. Negative experience: Good gym, but needs a clean. Very dirty across the place including the facilities, the sauna needs a refurb and the steam room a deep clean. The machines are unclean, go in the change rooms after 4pm and the place is a mess
Fantastic experience: Great Health Club. Plenty of room. Sauna and Steam rooms. The club itself is fairly new and in excellent shape. A very good array of equipment. Stationary bicycles, stair steppers, treadmills, weight machines and free weights. There are of course, several fitness classes. Goodlife has plenty of staff to help you. We are very happy with Goodlife Maroochydore.

Fantastic experience: Cet endroit est vraiment bien pour se remettre en forme ou pour garder la forme. L’accès est sans interruption. Le personnel est très sympathique et bienveillant. Je trouve tout le matériel nécessaire à mon retour au sport après des mois de convalescence. Je participe aux cours collectifs, les coachs sont supers, avec une très bonne énergie. Je m’entraîne seule aussi, je peux aller à mon rythme pour récupérer de la force musculaire. La salle de détente est très agréable, la musique est bonne et l’ambiance aussi. C’est génial de pouvoir faire un sauna après les cours pour se détendre. Un vrai bonus après une bonne heure de sport intensive. Je recommande vivement !
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful staff, plenty of equipment, nice locker rooms. I enjoy going to the club not only because it is close to my house but it is very large and never feels stuffy. I've taken a couple classes (spin and yoga) and they are great; however, I prefer to do my own workouts at this time.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym, easy parking and the gym is a large space well lit and lots of windows. The Sauna and Steam room are great as well as the classes. I have been a regular at Reformer Pilates since it started, Larisa being my favourite Coach/Trainer. I'd highly recommend the Reformer classes. I also use the weight area and cardio area and have been a member since the gym opened.

They don't understand that a request to cancel a membership is CANCEL not freeze a membership. Not a real understanding bunch.
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff. Great classes. The creche is awesome and my girls absolutely love going there as the childcare staff are just amazing. I have been a member for about 6 months now and loving it. The gym is set out really well and great options for free weights and machines. Always cardio machines available.
Fantastic experience: Awesome club. So much gear and room to move. Appears to be Gronk free too. Yoga teacher is awesome.
Fantastic experience: It's an absolutely second to none gym. Gym fee is reasonably affordable and staff members are friendly. Particularly l love zumba class in this gym. l even noticed fat around my belly has been decreased by just attending zumba class once a week. I am hoping we have more zumba classes in the future .

Fantastic experience: I have only recently started at Goodlife, but I can say it is honestly one of the best gyms I have been to. Instructors and trainers are just awesome and members are friendly too. Looking forward to getting back into pre Covid shape!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve trained at variety of Goodlife gyms in QLD and Goodlife Maroochydore takes the cake… a healthy cake of course! Best atmosphere, the gym layout feels spacious as you move through training areas, members are friendly, trainers are friendly, bathroom beauty needs decked out and the steam/sauna room counts as a cherry on top!
Negative experience: Gym is great but service is terrible- I’ve been waiting for a reply to my three emails. One was sent on the 5 December- The last manager Frankie was great but now she has gone nobody seems to care :( I would prefer contact via email otherwise I would call.

Positive experience: Good comprehensive gym with convenience. Friendly reception staff, professional PT’s with a range of choices for most people. Facilities are very good and equipment is first class. One of the highlights of my week when I arrive. If you are looking for a PT’s, ask for Gemma. She is enthusiastic, qualified and really gives personal attention with respect and care, she is wonderful. If you want your pretty good life to be better, go the GoodLife !

Fantastic experience: For some reason this comes up with my husband's name, but the review if from PAULA BURKE - I go every Monday Wednesday and Friday morning to SALLY'S classes, and all us ladies love her. She makes it fun, and always there with advice if needed. The best gym I have ever been too.

Negative experience: They will not tell you that you have to give one month notice when you want to cancel your membership. When I started I requested for one and a half year contact, but they put me for ongoing contact. And I was thinking why it's not finishing even after finishing date. When I ask them to cancel my membership, they took one more month to cancel it. So please be careful when you signing contract, you have to give one month notice, which they will not make you clear.

Fantastic experience: I joined Good Life at Maroochydore a few years ago, as my son was a Foundation member. I have always enjoyed going to the classes, as the staff and instructors are warm and welcoming. I encourage anyone, no matter what age you are, to join this Club as they make you feel a huge part of their family. All gym equipment is maintained to the highest standard.

Fantastic experience: After an extended hiatus from training I was really looking for someone who could guide my way back into a healthy lifestyle and exercise without breaking me on my first session. I trusted my instincts and just turned up for a free trial session with Gerson at GoodLife Maroochydore. I'm only one month into training and I can already say this is the best thing I've done for myself all year. We train together twice a week and it's honestly the highlight of my week. He has set me up with goals and is tracking my personalised progress every session. Best part is all I have to do is show up. He makes it fun and enjoyable, I'm always met with a big friendly smile and I feel like I've made a new friend too. In one month I've had friends and family telling me they can see a difference, that I look happier, healthier and that I've lost weight too. Don't hesitate. He's the real deal when he says you can change your life in 45 minutes. Highly recommended trainer, one of the best.

Negative experience: I had a membership with this gym and barely went. I tried to cancel my membership but it was extended three months due to the covid lockdown. My membership was due to finish in June. I rang up a month or so prior to my membership finishing to make sure it would be canceled and not roll through. Goodlife has still continued to charge me for a membership and they also charged me a personal training fee in which I never had any personal training there. I rang up and finally got a hold of someone; they said that I had asked to be downgraded not cancel my membership and they couldn't downgrade me and they my contact number wasn't valid. They said that I still owe them money to have the membership canceled - though this would not have been the case if they had just canceled my membership like I had asked for when it finished up. This is why I hate gyms such crooks.

Fantastic experience: I love the group fitness classes at Goodlife Maroochydore, they are definitely contributing to me achieving my fitness goals. The instructors are first class and there’s a great variety of programs. My absolute favourite is COMBAT, it’s a great combination of cardio and coordination, a sensational heart starter!

Positive experience: Good gym, not too busy, all the right equipment, trainers and friendly staff. Some of the equipment is perfectly functional but a tad old - treadmills could be updated - keeps this place from being a solid 5 star. Also yet to encounter anyone antisocial or grunting excessively which is a bonus.

Negative experience: Paid out my membership to cancel, only to have funds keep coming out. I've made 4 phone calls, each time they say it's been sorted and it shouldn't happen again, only to have more money come out. Now I've been hit with dishonor fees. Avoid this gym at all costs! Seriously, I don't know what else to do, apart from contact lawyers.

Negative experience: I came here with my mate for casual visit and took a while to pay, the Bathroom floor was just dirty and water everywhere. The Sauna and steam room was just flooded with water. I didn’t really like the equipment due to less machine.
Negative experience: First Google review I've ever submitted. But I have been lied to and now out of pocket $100 from a particular staff member not honoring a refund. Sad to see Goodlife making their customers pay for being manipulated by their sales reps. Not too happy, and not one to leave negative reviews either.
Positive experience: It's spacious and clean. Some machines are average but mostly good. I have never seen staff enforcing the wiping down of equipment though even through covid and despite noone ever wearing a mask.

Negative experience: I was expecting a pretty good set up at Goodlife Maroochydore, but boy did it disappoint. The goodlife gyms in Melbourne, surpass this gym in terms of that the gym spaces are larger, equipment is set up better, and much neater, and better equipped. Classes are good, but the gym floor needs to be tidied, and more organised. Overall a very average gym, not at all what I was expecting. I've been a goodlife member for over 11 years, and i've been to a lot of different clubs, and sadly, this is the worst one I've attended.
