Negative experience: Pilates reformer is always! block booked out, has been all year. Never can book a class and no virtual classes provided. Urgently need more classes and instructors. Not good enough Sandringham Goodlife! NB/ for example see how YAWA operates.

Fantastic experience: Having a personal trainer has been a new experience for me and Theo my personal trainer from Goodlife Sandringham has been fabulous. Originally I presented because of medical reasons however it has been very enjoyable and my fitness is improving. Theo is very knowledgeable on creating programs and suggestions on nutrition for me. Lots of encouragement and some laughs from him has got me very enthusiastic about continuing with my fitness.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Sandy has been a great experience. Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Goodlife Sandringham for over one year now, and I love the friendly staff, and extensive services provided. When looking for a personal trainer there, I was called by Theo who offered a complimentary gym session. What really appealed to me when I took up his offer? He is very friendly, very patient and his knowledge is amazing and so helpful to me in everyday life. A personal trainer is so much more than instructing you in the gym .Important and beneficial information regarding nutrition, sleep, fatigue and so much more is offered.. His instructions in the gym are very clear, giving explanations of the machines we are using, and what can be gained from them. To take on a personal trainer, I believe it is very important to have someone who you can connect with, and I have this with Theo. He has a great sense of humour, and our training sessions are fun. I have learned a lot, and I can tell you that I am not going anywhere!

Positive experience: I am 24 years old. I have recently signed up to Goodlife Sandy. Upon signing, I was treated especially well by staff. I have been wanting to learn how to safely lift weights and gain muscle and strength. I talked to staff and they got into it straight away. I started a PT program with Theo. 12 week challenge / strength training. It was the best thing I have ever done for my body. Theo pushed me to my limits and he provided nutrition information, ultimate encouragement and guidance that I will continue to use after the 12 weeks. I love the confidence I have also gained training with Theo. He is professional and takes his health seriously, I always felt in safe hands with Theo. I will continue receiving one off PT sessions for the foreseeable future.

Negative experience: My partner suffered stomach cancer and also shoulder surgery so cancelled her membership. Despite several visits and phone calls we are being chased by their credit team for ongoing subscriptions. They have lost the medical forms that were handed to them in person and are now requesting them again for the 3rd time. Go somewhere else. We keep on assured that everything is being handled only to find out later that nothing was done.

Negative experience: The management is absolutely useless. I had an accident ripped two tendons in my shoulder and at the beginning of the year i gave them a medical cert and wanted to cancel. Since then I have given them hospital docs as had stomach issues too, gave them further certs for arm, gave them my SURGERY notes on shoulder and still they have not cancelled the membership. I cancelled my card so they cannot get further funds from me. Now they threatening to take me to collections as I have not made last 6 weeks payments!!. I call up they tell me it is all sorted and I should get a refund anyway. The next day and everyday I get texts and emails about owing them money. Disgraceful!!!

Negative experience: My partner any I are incredibly disappointed at the customer service we have experienced at Goodlife and we have only been members for a few months! We both signed up in June for an EOFY special and requested that our memberships start towards the end of July and supposedly we were also getting 6 weeks free. Since joining: - We have been overcharged a membership fee that we didn’t not agree to on paper since the beginning - Our memberships have been started on a date earlier than we requested on paper (we weren’t even living in the area). We also never received the promised 6 weeks free - We have already requested twice to have our future payments changed to the fee that was originally promised, and a weekly fee that is higher than the membership form we were shown continues to be taken from our account - We are so incredibly disappointed and are now having to turn to our bank’s customer service to cancel our card since we have absolutely lost trust that anyone at Goodlife will help us to fix the payments that we did not agree to

Negative experience: Personally I think this is one of the worst gyms in the area. All of the equipment looks like it was produced in the 1970s. With the rooms perfumed with the smell of ancient sweat and talcum powder. The extremely dimly lit rooms hide the maze and lack of equipment, Where there is only one machine for back being a lat pull down machine, and one cable machine. Furthermore, you’ll be paying more than another gym around for a underwhelming experience. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: Hi, This is the most incompetent gym that i have come across.... Have over charged me for the membership and despite numerous requests to susped - cotinue to charge and refuse to reimburse and instead offering to give credit. They have also not amended membership type despite numerous requests... Regret giving my credit card to this business.. have now had to lodge disputed transaction with the bank and close my credit card. Very disappointing experience.

Positive experience: Far too many kids here now who think it's acceptable to sit around a piece of equipment on their phones for 30 mins at a time so no one else can use the equipment. Come on management not a great experience for other customers.

Negative experience: They are totally scammers! Do not recommend! The manager promised that I can cancel my membership at anytime as I was pregnant before I sign up. When I actually give them the notice and doctor certificate to cancel the membership, they find excuses and simply not cancelling as promised. Its been 4 weeks after i give them the notice, i still receive overdue reminder all the time. BTW, they dont even put an email address on the website. They make it super difficult even to send them the notice. STAY away from these toxic people

Positive experience: Decent facilities, friendly staff but I wish they policed the bookings for Pilates better.. I’m at home on my couch because I couldn’t even get a waitlist spot, it’s a maximum of 4, and my friend who did have a booking messages me that 4 empty beds were taken by people walking in… there doesn’t seem to be any consequence for people who don’t bother to cancel their spot so others lose out unless they hang around waiting just in case..

Fantastic experience: So Sandringham gym has struggled through a fire, pandemic and renovations over the past couple of years resulting in a decline of members. So what has changed to earn it 5 stars ⭐? 1. The group and individual instructors are listening to members and making changes. 2. Management are more visible checking activities and getting to know participants. 3. Members are more social and encouraging each other.

Negative experience: If you want to do reformer Pilates, DON’T book in with Mee K., I’ve never had such a rude experience and she does not provide guidance to first-timers, in stead she barks at you! (This was my first ever experience with Pilates) Also ask for the Pilates portal to book through, they don’t advise you on how to book your classes upon signing up. Thank god it’s month to month cancel

Negative experience: Did my first visit to the gym today and am relieved that I'm not a permanent member. There was no one at reception when I arrived at 16:30 and I was able to gain access by just walking in. Found a young gentleman in the break/rest area in club apparel and asked him for some directions. He took me to the mat Pilates room and then disappeared before I could ask any more questions. I assumed he was on break and thought I’d take myself on a tour. I made my way to the ladies change rooms and locked my handbag in a locker. Had a chat with a fellow friendly customer who was most helpful in assisting me use the lockers. Off I went a wandering and went to the pool area to watch the children’s swimming lessons – just note that none of these children were actually my own children because this was my first visit. I must’ve looked like I belong with my water bottle and active gear because no one thought it was weird for me to be hanging around the pool. After checking out the pool area, I went walking through the workout areas where the equipment is. Found some cardio machines and did a little cycle, found the oldest spinning bike known to man in the area next door to the cardio and realised I’m better off using my own spinning bike at home. I havn’t actually worked out using gym equipment since I was a student and just didn’t recognise anything to try and use it because I don’t even know which machine you’re meant to use first and what they’re all for – I didn’t feel like I wanted to spend hours walking to each machine and reading its individual instructions, etc. As a last-ditch effort to get some physical exercise went back to reception to see if someone had taken up the post, it was now 17:23 and I thought I might be able to join the Reformer Pilates class. Unfortunately, there was still no one there, but I had by now seen where the offices were located, so I knocked on the door and let myself in. There I found about 7 staff members - some in club apparel and some not. I assumed they were all on break because after asking if I could do Reformer Pilates and they said no they carried on with their afternoon and did not enquire as to whether I might be interested in another activity or a tour. I’m a little creeped out that anyone can walk in and out and spend time in the gym and around the children at the pool area without there being any security measures at all. I am also relieved that my Fitness Passport allows me the leisure of not having to go back again.

Fantastic experience: This gym gives value for money. There are several different workout rooms & classes to join along with the newly renovated sauna, spa & change rooms which make going there a very pleasant experience. The staff are friendly & helpful especially Adam & the reformer Pilates instructor Mee K who is very skilled at her craft. She is very thorough in her classes explaining each exercise technique & which muscles we are working & why. I can’t recommend Mee K more highly.

Positive experience: The facility is great with technically everything you need in a health club. BUT it's not well maintained, with spa and saunas not regularly cleaned. The sauna is also set to lower than what you would expect a normal sauna temperature to be. Dirty floors, ceilings and a poorly ventilated cardio room makes it generally unappealling. This place could benefit from a complete makeover or at least an uplift.

Fantastic experience: I had a P.T session with Nancy today and just want to share how professional and experienced she is. I have a long history of bad back (sciatic nerve), shoulder pain and hip pain. She knew what's causing the pain and helped me in releasing the tension around the area's and I feel great. It's like going to the physio and chiropractor at the same time. We are now working on increasing the core muscles and glutes so that my back and hips aren't doing all the work . Can't wait for the next session. She is a treasure to the club. Keep up the good work Nancy and GoodLife.

Negative experience: Misrepresentation of gym contractual conditions and terms. Ineffective management and poor customer service. Please google Goodlife Health Clubs reviews and you will find many complaints from undisclosed fees, issues with membership cancellations, condition of equipment etc.

Fantastic experience: Returned to this gym after a break. Very impressed. Friendly, helpful staff. Facilities and equipment have been improved and upgraded. Spa, sauna, swimming pool and group classes all add up to a first rate gym offering. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Hi there. I have now called the club 4 times to cancel my membership. During each phone call I am told that the manager will return my call to process and confirm the cancellation. I still have not received a call from this manager. I find this to be exceptionally poor customer service. It is quite damaging to your brand as it shows a complete lack of care, and is now beginning to err on the side of deceitful. I need to cancel my membership by a specific date, before the contract rolls over and I attract further fees. By avoiding or refusing to return my phone call, I can only assume that the end game is to lock me into another 12 month contract. I would appreciate communication ASAP.

Negative experience: I go to this gym frequently. I’ve just heard Ash from reception is being moved on after 5 years of service. Ash has been the most welcoming employee at Goodlife Sandringham since i’ve been going. People forget that personality goes along way. Ash was the best thing at goodlife sandy. Ohh well. Time to go use 90 year old equipment.

Negative experience: have been ‘renovating’ the spa and sauna for probably well over a year now. told me last november that it would be open in a month and have continued to tell members the same thing for months on end. staff members are friendly and the equipment works fine but the lifting and machine areas could use a good clean and tend to feel dirty and untidy. just trialed a different gym and their upkeep and cleanliness was incredible compared to goodlife.

Fantastic experience: Having been a member for years I really enjoy the number and variety if classes for a very reasonable subscription cost. The pilates reformer classes are my focus and really good.

Fantastic experience: I have been a regular member of Goodlife Sandringham for many years in recent times my main class has been Reformer Pilates, the instructors are of a high standard and ensure it is an all body workout. Adherence to Covid precautions are always taken and I feel it is a safe environment, The reception staff are always friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this club.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience with this gym and left two years ago and am still getting calls and emails trying to get me to return no matter how many times I tell them to take me off their mailing list. I was over charged by hundreds of dollars which they had to refund me and the staff was atrocious every time I went in. My personal trainer was very nice but it was sad to hear how badly they treat the trainers there. This is the worst gym I've ever been to and I warn everyone else to steer very clear.

Negative experience: As other have mentioned, the club closed which is unfortunate for everyone. The infuriating thing is they didn't give us the option to cancel our membership. We were not offered something comparable. I also noticed safety issues at the gym prior to the closure. To be fair management have said they will do what they can about this. Unfortunately I can't get out of the contract without paying over $250 so I'll stick it out and this dreadful gym until I move and can go to any other. I'm telling whoever I know not to sign up to GoodLife Sandringham.

Negative experience: Hi, I'm not sure if Lora is right or not when saying its not possible to get a canceled or not. After three month of closure, with no information at all about an eventual reopening date, we've decided to cancel our membership. That was done on May the 28th. waiting for an answer from the club. What I must mention anyway is that, as the club seems, for us, still to be closed, the club has debited an amount $18+ from our account,.. Why? no idea except that we can not go too the club and therefore don't use the facilities at all for more that three months. That is our real experience with Good Life Sandringham,...

Negative experience: Its a good gym and the PTs here are legends, however there is very unprofessional service from the office staff. Anything to do with billing is an absolute disaster, once you sign up here, its pretty much impossible to cancel or change billing details. My parents tried to cancel their membership multiple times and they were direct debited for almost a year afterwards and Goodlife is refusing a refund. They also have no page on their website or Google My Business related to COVID, so you have to call up to check for updates which is appalling given the current climate. Lazy as, these guys need some basic business admin and customer service training, I've been a loyal customer for years.

Positive experience: Nice spacious gym. The machines are in good working order. The facilities are not 24/7 which is a shame as a GoodLife club with a sauna and spa are hard to find. The personal trainers are hard to find unless they are with a client thus making it difficult to request assistance in the weight training areas. The sauna and spa do not have clocks making it hard to know the time whilst relaxing. The bag lockers are located in the bathrooms. There are a small amount of lockers in the workout area. If you wish to use the lockers you must bring your own lock.

Negative experience: I called to discuss my account being debited after I had cancelled my membership several months prior and the receptionists left the phone unhooked while they talked about their weekend and then proceeded to mock me when I asked if anyone was on the other end of the line. Completely ruined what was otherwise a great gym when I lived in the area.

Positive experience: The gym's a bit old but the atmosphere is great. Classes are fun and the instructors are energetic. This is definitely a gym with charm - and it has everything you need. Just wish it was a bit bigger, it can get a bit competitive at peak times for equipment.

Negative experience: I’m a returned 15 year army veteran currently going through rehab for injuries sustained on operation. I had to stop my membership due to getting more surgery and when I returned to sign up again. I was told by the member consultant I was trying to trick her because my last membership payments were to low. When she verified that I wasn’t lying she told me I signed up as a student. Which I didn’t. They wanted to almost double the fees I was paying and didn’t care what position I was in. This lack of empathy towards veterans is indicative of where the fitness industry is heading. Money over health. I joined this gym almost 20 years ago and this new corporate ownership is a blight to the community. If your a supporter of veterans spend your money elsewhere.

Negative experience: Trainer Natalie is extremely rude. She seems to think whatever she is doing is more important than a members workout. She snaps if you ask her something and is only nice to 'paying customers'. Other members are treated like they don't matter. However I pay a membership and I find her rudeness really difficult to be around.

Positive experience: Yeah, it's a bit old, but that's part of its charm. Very reasonably priced compared to other gyms. Only down side is no 24 hour access.
