Fantastic experience: After a hiatus from going to a gym and feeling a bit nervous, I joined Snap Fitness Preston a few months ago after reading the reviews of how friendly it is. They were spot on! The signup process was smooth, facilities are always clean, and staff always have a smile and are obliging with any questions. If anything, I'm just kicking myself that I didn't sign up sooner. Fantastic experience: Friendly staff that are very helpful and easy to get a hold of. They were very understanding when I was injured and allowed me to suspend my membership easily. Equipment is always in working order and the gym is clean. I would highly recommend this place over some other gyms.

Negative experience: !!!Don’t go there!!! The worst gym experience I’ve ever had the worst and rudest manager scamming me with 3 months ahead after signing my membership, and I told him cancel my membership 4 times and still he didn’t cancel it leaving me with a big amount of money to pay, biggest scammers and worst experience wish I could give 0 stars, and by the way small gym no good equipment:(

Positive experience: It’s an ok gym! Compared to my usual I was a bit shocked I found that the machines are quite old and a lot don’t have the option to increase by 5kg, but that’s just me being picky. Some of the machines are also squished quite close together which was awkward for me to try get out of one without accidentally interrupting the person next to me. Overall it was alright.

Positive experience: Good gym overall. Doesn’t have a lot of variety of equipments but it has enough equipments to work out the whole body. Rarely gets too busy, and seldom have to wait to use a certain machine. Staff are friendly and helpful. And the gym is pretty clean and tidy.

Tom and Sophie have been great and always make you feel welcomed. They are always there and ready to help when you have questions about equipment or need a training tip or advice. I always feel comfortable and safe at Snap Preston and always look forward to getting to the gym. Its clean, well stocked and has all the equipment and space you need to suit whatever workout you need to do! good stuff!

Fantastic experience: Staff are professional, approachable and know their "stuff" Have seen dramatic improvement in power, technique and endurance in the few short weeks I have been attending. 24 hour access and very reasonable fees plus a wide variety of pin loaded machine and free weights. My trainer Sophie and I sit down each week and map out the next 7 days and she works with me if I want to vary or tweak something. Very happy with the gym.

Negative experience: Pros: It's cheap and generally clean. Cons: The staff are not great. I joined on an offer that included a free PT and other perks but all I got was a very weird experience where the trainer got me to go on the treadmill whilst we chatted for 5mins about goals then he disappeared. I later saw him walking past the window outside with a coffee. Never spoke again, very strange. They also messed up my billing a few weeks in a row and didn't seem to understand how to fix it. Another PT went on a bit of a Anti-Dan Andrews tirade, but it was shortly post lockdowns I guess she was frustrated. Overall the gym is fine.

Negative experience: Great gym if you're a misogynistic man who doesn't care about safe hygiene practices. I had the misfortune of being a member for two weeks between lockdowns. I was swayed by it being conveniently located and the cheap price, but I should have gone with my gut as soon as the red flags started appearing. I went in for a tour when masks were mandatory indoors. The reception manager didn't seem to understand how to wear a mask on his face and would habitually pull it down. When I asked about safety precautions for after hours, the manager (Tom) looked at me as if such a thing was ridiculous. How ludicrous, the idea of a woman needing to feel safe. Tom assured me the gym had good hygiene practices. In my two weeks there, I saw countless number of people using equipment without wiping anything down. This was during staffed hours, where no one was held accountable. As part of sign up, you get a free session with a personal trainer. I asked to be with the only woman PT available. The reception staff (masculine presenting) was surprised I'd want to have the woman PT - considering they only advertised the masculine presenting PTs, it was nearly impossible to know they had a woman PT. When restrictions slightly eased, I asked how they would enforce vaccine mandates. The response I got was "everyone's pretty good" - read: we don't care about community health guidelines. I'm in the process of getting a refund for being overcharged, having cancelled my gym membership. They acknowledged having overcharged me, but are insisting I have to come in to get my refund. I refused to come in. If they can charge me without having to come in, they can refund me the same way. I haven't heard a response in over a week. Get what you pay for. Update: Kindly had a follow up call from ?Paul, gym owner who tried to make excuses and tried to invalidate my experience. He promptly denied me my refund after trying to tone police me. When I mentioned Consumer Affairs, he brushed it off, saying he's had many dealings with them before and knows nothing will be done. Which is to say, he's denied people their money many times before - and gotten away with it. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I trained at Snap for 6 years while living in Melbourne. I have recently moved interstate and have been trying to find another gym like Snap Preston, unsuccessfully. This gym really is a little community. It’s the friendliest and most welcoming gym I believe I’ve ever walked into. Members became friends at this gym. It was not uncommon to see the more experienced showing newer members how to use equipment, or offering words of encouragement. Ben, the owner really knows how to run this business. His staff are happy, therefore his members are happy. It really is the best gym and I miss it!

Negative experience: Dodgy membership . I signed up before covid and before i finished my free weeks they gave me lockdown came in . Then i got charged as soon as they opened and after like two weeks we were back to another lockdown but still got charged again and when I complained they said they will give me more days which i never got so i decided to change my debit card and never went back . Since they opened theyve been trying to charge me and sending me threats about sending a debt collector. I sent them an email saying i havent been to their gym since march but still they dont listen . Poor poor service

Negative experience: Passive aggressive manager, dodgy membership and membership cancellation fees. Not an honest or transparent business. Gym is small,pretty smelly if fans aren’t on (low ceilings). Equipment is shoved in too close. Not worth the money.

Fantastic experience: The gym is well located with parking at the local super market just next door. Facilities are good with a great selection of machines and weights to mix up your routine. The PTs are friendly and knowledgeable and there are classes available if you prefer that method of training.
