Negative experience: Edit: thanks for your passive aggressive reply, which is in line with my previous experiences at your gym. Here is my review: When I signed up to Snap I was told I had access to all Snap gyms. I lived in between this Snap and another one, and got stuffed around being put on different rates depending on which one I was using more. I kept getting emails telling me my rate was going up, which was obviously annoying. I worked out a discounted rate with one of them then got an automated email a few months later raising my rate again. I got annoyed and cancelled my membership and they insisted on me paying the full cancellation period despite the terrible customer service. As you can tell this soured my view of the gym. The gym itself is fine, it's pretty small and it gets crowded, but the equipment all works. I think all these big chain gyms are pretty similar so now I prefer places where they treat you like a human being.

Fantastic experience: I love my time at Brunswick Snap. I am an older woman and was always intimidated to go to a gym where there are younger, fitter people. From the first time I walked through the front door Emma was very welcoming, saw me, (I wasn’t invisible) and from then I knew I was in a safe place. All her staff are very respectful, supportive and encouraging. I feel I belong and that makes it a great space where I can be me.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the Snap Fitness Brunswick location. This gym has a really great layout, with a large cadio level on the ground floor, along with squat racks, and then a mezannine level with free weights and weight machines. The staff here are really friendly and helpful and the shower facilities and amenities they offer are great.

Fantastic experience: I wholly enjoyed my time as a member of Snap Brunswick. Very relaxed atmosphere, a great set-up, and a membership which draws a crowd as diverse as the community on its doorstep. Shoutouts to all the gorgeous woofs hanging out in front to watch their hoomans get after it, and also to Emma P as a personal trainer who helped me on a human level, aiding a steady walk out of a long period of stagnation in my life.

Fantastic experience: Adore Snap Brunswick. The gym has the best layout and facilities in the area for my goals (a good amount of free weights, racks, machines & a decent cardio area for when I rarely push myself to use it). It is always clean and is a positive space to workout. The large amount of mirrors is fabulous as I always like to check my form is correct and previous gyms have only had limited viewpoints. A big mix of members young, older and of all walks of life - all friendly and super inclusive. The space uplifts my day each morning and the friendly staff are a bonus.

If I hadn't moved out of town, I would definitely continue my membership. The location is perfect, it's never overcrowded, the equipment is in great condition and the staff is incredibly friendly as are most of the members. 10/10 Would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: This has been one of my favorite gyms I've been a member of, if I wasn't moving out of state, I'd have stayed a member. It's rarely overcrowded. It's affordable. The staff are really lovely. No annoying gym bros. 10/10 Would recommend to anyone!

Positive experience: The Snap Fitness here is a small but cozy one. It is quite close to my house, so convenient for me. However, the management is not so good. There is a guy wearing almost nothing could be there for years, which caused both females & males here uncomfortable. I believe that staff could check by camera but looks like they dont care about the comfortableness of people training in this gym. It happened for quite a long time (years) therefore I decided to change the gym at the end, even though this gym is almost next to my door.

Fantastic experience: A really LGBTQIA+ inclusive and clean gym with a lovely sense of community. Top notch equipment and ad hoc weekly challenges you can compete in. The staff and PTs are friendly without being in your face or pushy at all. I've never even seen (nor heard) any dude-bros lifting heavy things with excessive vocalisation prior to dropping their weights loudly... Which frankly, is really fu*#ing refreshing.

From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms and made to feel like a valued member of the gym community. Emma's leadership and passion for fitness is contagious and her attention to detail is unmatched. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each and every member has a positive experience at the gym, and it shows in the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are also top-notch. They are knowledgeable, approachable and always willing to offer guidance and support. Whether I am looking for help with a new exercise or simply need a spotter, I know that I can count on them to be there for me. In addition to the excellent staff, the facilities at are second to none. The equipment is state-of-the-art and well-maintained, and the gym is always clean and organized. There is a great variety of classes offered as well, and I love that there is always something new to try. Overall, I would give Snap Fitness Brunswick a 5-star rating. I am grateful to be a member and can honestly say that it has been life-changing. Negative experience: We were members of this gym for 6 years and really appreciated the friendly atmosphere and flexible approach from management and staff… that was until their new staff member, Emma, joined. A brief run down of our experiences with Emma - denying broken machines that had been sticky taped together needed fixing and that holes in walls (that had been there for years) required repairs, Emma also made continuous basic admin errors including charging us when our memberships should have been paused, which took up a lot of our time to explain Snaps own direct debit cycles to her. We found that Emma’s bad mouthing previous management to be very unprofessional. We were the first members to show up to the gym when restrictions lifted by supporting Snap throughout the pandemic, and yet we were accused of not being community minded by Emma (who had been with Snap Brunswick by this stage for perhaps a month or two) because we weren’t happy to be charged for the week while the gym closed for remodelling. I should also make note that members were not given the option to opt in or decline paying while the gym was closed. It was assumed that all payments continued. The final straw was Emma holding our signed contracts to ransom (claiming they were stored in some random storage facility that apparently no one could get to for months while we were still expected to continue to pay). When we questioned whether we had agreed to the 28 day cancellation period upon sign up six years prior, and requested immediate cancellation we received the following response from Emma: ‘I’m so happy to cancel you both out as it we (sic) make all of us happy.’ The last few months of our membership were extremely toxic because of this one staff member, who showed no business acumen or gratitude for us as ongoing, long term members… and so we left. On the plus side, absolutely loving achieving PB’s at our new gym and have never been fitter, happier or healthier. Apart from writing this overdue review - we we haven’t looked back! Hopefully Snap Brunswick allow other staff members to take the reins when handling membership enquiries in future. Thanks - take care and be well! I’d like to also add as a response to the below reply that I have never, nor would I ever be disrespectful in the gym space and I am confused as to why I’ve now been accused of this? The fact that you were waiting for this review speaks for itself. I would refrain from using quotation marks for statements that I did not make, and that you have no evidence of, however, stating in writing that ‘The previous manager was not following protocol and did what he wanted and disregarded the rules with such matters’ is unprofessional. I have in writing that our contracts were held not presented to us, having been requested in November and not provided beyond January. I also suggest refraining from attempting to change the narrative and falsifying events. Stating that I didn’t specify which machine was broken is a clear example of this, as I sent you photographic evidence of exactly which machine required fixing and listed off the other machines in the gym that were unable to be used… Also for noting, we were not presented with evidence of our signed contracts, and do not feel that we were granted any favours. Above all, it’s no loss on our behalf, and we are glad to have made the change. I appreciate your reply as it’s provided some clarity in exactly why we cancelled.

Positive experience: The gym facilities are good however it is very disconcerting that most members and staff choose to ignore the the basic protocols of wiping down equipment after use. The signage is poor in relation to this and staff are setting a bad example of not following hygiene and safety protocol. More needs to be done to ensure ALL MEMBERS AND STAFF follow through on this very basic standard. The gym industry suffered greatly in the pandemic but it appears no lessons were learnt in relation to health and safety protocols to ensure it was a safe environment for ALL. It appears staff choose to only respond to 5 star reviews rather than take on board health and safety feedback. I guess this is not a priority at all. More clear signage and friendly reminders to those who do not follow basic etiquette seems to be too hard. Minimum effort, maximum impact.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym ever! I've been a regular gym goer for more than 30 years. My objective is general fitness and my levels of activity have changed over the years as I've gotten older. In 1999 I moved to Carlton North and joined what was then one of the few 24:7 gyms in Melbourne. It had a lot of "character" and many of the members were "colourful" to say the least. However, it had the big advantage of being always open which meant I no longer had to think "Is the gym open?" This was a "big deal" in 1999 whereas today pretty much all gyms have some kind of 24 hour access. I attended that same gym until 2018 when I decided it was time for a change. So I approached Snap in Sydney Road Brunswick. After a slightly rocky start to the sign up process (all my fault) I quickly adapted to my new gym home and haven't looked back! My only regret is not doing it sooner... One of the things that was important to me in choosing this gym was clean facilities and good air-conditioning. Snap Brunswick offers all this and more. On top of the obvious benefits of membership is the ability to access Snap gyms in other locations. This meant I was able to easily use my Snap membership in different interstate locations; all of which were excellent. So why should you join Snap Brunswick? If you live in the general area and want to join a great gym, you really should take advantage of the reasonable rates with no lock in contracts and become a Snapper today! This gym is run by a great, friendly team and all the members I've encountered have been refreshingly "normal". I am soon moving interstate to a location where there are no Snaps and I can truthfully say that Snap Brunswick will be one of the few things I will miss when I leave Melbourne. Thanks to Scott, Emma and Alex for making my membership so enjoyable; I'll miss you guys and my regular workouts at Snap Brunswick...

Fantastic experience: I trained here about twice a week since 2018. Just cancelled my membership now due to moving house. Although I don't leave a lot of reviews, I wanted to leave this one; because I think the team, the vibe, the equipment and the value are really good here. In particular, the team are super friendly. I also found that generally the gym goers are too. It has a nice cross section of male, female, young and old which help to make it feel inclusive. Also, Alex is an excellent personal trainer. Keep it up snap Brunswick.

Fantastic experience: Good cheap gym membership in the midst of the hubbub of Sydney Rd. Always felt safe inside as a young woman. There used to be some negative messaging about health around the place (in my opinion). But other than that if you wanna work out and can ignore those vibes, it’s perfect!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with excellent facilities and the latest equipment. I always train early in the morning and everyone is really welcoming and supportive. The best part of the gym though is my trainer Taite who has pushed me way beyond what i thought i could do. I feel stronger physically and mentally this past year than ever before because of his training.

Fantastic experience: Snap is an excellent modern gym in Brunswick. It's easily accessible 24/7 from Sydney Road with two floors. The bottom with all your cardio equipment and floor work and the top floor is for the more serious gym equipment. All equipment is modern and well-maintained and what I love most about the gym is its spaciousness means you're never cramped for space. It's generally never too busy and the showers and facilities are also excellent. Highly recommend as one of the best gyms in Brunswick!

It's in such an ideal location just at the start of Sydney Road if your catching tram 19. Plus, it's also a 24/7 gym: I find it so frustrating to not have the flexibility to go WHENEVER I want, so I really love that it's an all-hours facility. They often have deals so that you can avoid paying any sign up fees. Although, it's worth mentioning that compared to other gyms, it's super cheap! You won't feel bad if you miss a week or two because it's not costing a fortune (not even close!) I joined with them previously and then cancelled to do another sport. They made it such a smooth, pain-free process (unlike other gyms I've been a member of in the past). After 6 months, I decided to join back rather than going somewhere else as I know the team at Snap Fitness Brunswick are easy to deal with. Signing up is super simple and takes 10mins which I appreciate! Overall, a really great gym which provides an awesome customer service and a good range of facilities! :) Always well maintained, clean and not too busy (at least during the times I go)!
