Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Rec Xpress Gym in East Brighton for a while now, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the personal training services provided by Baxter and Curtis. Both are incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and professional. They take the time to understand your goals and tailor each session to your specific needs, pushing you to reach your full potential while ensuring you maintain proper form and safety. The gym itself is well-equipped, clean, and welcoming, creating an overall fantastic training environment. I’ve seen amazing progress and have never felt better! Fantastic experience: I've been a member here for over 4 years now (on/off for longer period of time due to work locations) . I must say having tried a lot of gyms in different suburbs over the last 10 years including chain and premium ones, and this is far the best gym I've been to in terms of price/quality/people and friendliness of trainers. This Gym always helped me a lot to bounce back and improve my mental health. It always feels welcoming and non judgemental training there. I trained almost in all locations but Brighton East always feels free and airy due to the natural light roof, big space and can do a little bit of calisthenics there with the Olympic rings and free wall space. It almost ticks all the boxes! ✅ 24/7 Access ✅ Great quality, well maintained and clean equipment ✅ Cleanliness of amenities ✅ Demographic who train there / Community ✅ Friendliness of staff ✅ Different locations around the area to change it up ✅ I've seen a lot of small and big improvements over the years ✅ Point of contact, communication and newsletters always has a bit of personal feel to it and care for the local community ✅ As a creative... I love the new edgy logo and branding!

Fantastic experience: Have been a member here for only a few months but by far the best gym experience I’ve had in my many years of training. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the complimentary PT which was included in membership was so beneficial to help with technique. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Always clean and well kept. Friendly and helpful staff and very good value with multiple locations to use

Positive experience: Overall, it's a great place to work out though to make is a 5-star rating, I would like to see more involvement by the trainers to call out staff who grunt to loudly and scroll on their phones whilst on equipment. The signs put up are good, but I never see any of the trainers call out the anti-social behaviour.

I’m impressed with the range of equipment throughout the three areas and access to any of the machines and weights is never a problem. The price of membership is also favourable. In short, it’s a great gym.

I've been to my fair bit of gyms over the years and this gym is straightforward, no frills, clean, and the machines and equipment are all in good condition. Plenty of parking space around, and they have a range of different kinds of personal trainers to suit your goals and needs. The staff are amazing and always very welcoming when my partner and I enter the gym, shoutout to Baxter and Tess!

Fantastic experience: Joined Rec Xpress back in January and I wanted to try a few PT sessions to get me settled. Since then I've continued to keep up PT sessions with Baxter twice a week as I find them so beneficial. Baxter was the first lad I met when I joined and from day 1 he's been very welcoming. He's very interested in what you're trying to achieve and knows how to keep you motivated. For anyone joining this gym I'd highly recommend getting in touch with Baxter, whether you're starting from scratch or just looking to mix up your routine. The gym itself is very spacious and clean, and I never really seem to be waiting for machines or free weights. All the staff seem really helpful and very friendly too.

Fantastic experience: Gyms used to make me anxious and I have not been a member for very long however since starting a RecXpress that is slowly starting to fade away. I see Baxter twice a week for PT and am honestly so glad his name was recommended to me. He is extremely motivating and cares about his clients and their progress, he makes my time in the gym enjoyable - I never thought I would actually enjoy going to the gym until I started attending my one on one sessions. He has been so amazing with helping me through my knee recovery, I could not recommend him more! All the staff are extremely friendly, the gyms are super clean and have every machine you could wish for. If you are looking for a PT do yourself a favour and message Baxter you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: Visited the gym whilst on holidays for 2 weeks. The staff were great and offered a temporary membership. The gym was never busy and there was plenty of equipment available everytime I went in. Couldn't be happier, if your in the area check it out, or maybe don't wouldn't want to ruin the quietness of this little place.

However, credit where it is due, this is one of the best gyms in the area - large floorspace with a good selection of quality machines and free weights. Fantastic experience: I was a RecXpress member for 8 years and had a very enjoyable time whilst there. I was not overly active in the community - I simply went on my own time to maintain a level of physical strength and fitness - but that's all I needed and wanted to do and RecXpress had everything available for me to do just that. They also have an app which is handy for learning good form. Having access to all their sites is super helpful for switching up the scenery every now and then. I can't make any complaints about my experience - if you're in the area and want a simple, no fuss gym - go to Rec.

Fantastic experience: This gym is pretty decent and good for the price. It’s clean and well maintained, and the gym has a nice open layout with multiple different sections. However, can be pretty busy depending on the time you go. Overall still pretty good, well worth the price .

Fantastic experience: Rec Xpress has been a great gym to me so far, I even convinced a few of my friends to also join Rec Xpress as well and they all have loved it too. The staff are nice and friendly, the gym is cleaned regularly, the music isnt too loud, there are a lot of machines. For the free weight area, there are duplicate dumbells but not for all weights, this isnt usually an issue though as mostly everyone respects their environment and doesnt hog an array of dumbells at once. You can drop weights. There are bathrooms and showers, as well as a scale. Open to responding to any questions about the experience at Rec Xpress (east brighton), also the membership allows you to go to any of the venues.
