Going to a gym for the first time can be nerve-wracking to say at least especially to someone that is not fit. The manager there Dean made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I look forward to many productive workouts in this establishment.

Fantastic experience: Gym has a great selection of equipment I cannot fault it for that, however after almost a year here, the cleaning has gotten progressively worse to the point I won't use the showers anymore because it's very clear they are not maintained at all. There was a bottle of showergel that stayed in the same place on the ground for a month before it was finally moved. Maybe consider changing cleaners because aside from that it's a solid gym Edit: gym has taken on this review and already noticed a dramatic improvement in cleanliness, thanks for addressing this so swiftly

Positive experience: Great gym. Staff who signed us up were really nice, great size with lots of equipment. The only downfall is the equipment as it feels very cheap. Life fitness is a lot better. Precor weight equipment is very uncomfortable and something just not right about the design. For the cardio stuff it’s fine but not for weights.

Fantastic experience: The best vibe of Anytime Fitness I've been to and would argue, one of the nicest 24/7 gyms in Melbourne, aesthetics wise. Pros: Very well-planned floor space, lots of toilets, everything is super clean, the showers (and rest of gym) have really nice natural lighting, ankle straps for kickbacks, psoas raise etc, high quality scale to check your weight,aesthetics with wooden floor, natural lighting and modern equipment is i think the best in Melbourne. Cons: No glute drive/hip thrust machine which often means I skip this gym for leg day and go to any of the anytime FItness nearby to train legs. Gym also gets quite busy, and having to rush and get setup with a barbell and bench is just not as easy and jumping on the machine. One of the few Anytime fitness without this popular machine. As i mentioned it gets quite busy, but that's also a testament to how good the gym is. No Pendulum squat machine, same con for all other Anytime Ftiness gyms, would be a key differentiator to nearby gym if it had it. No tea and coffee area, unlike Brunswick East AF nearby (not a big deal).

Positive experience: Big, well equipped gym with everything you could need to keep in shape, with some cardio space upstairs, and an extra room with space when classes are not on. One thing it could do with are some bicycle racks, there are a lot of people with bikes in this area and at the moment everyone is locking their bikes to street signs and trees and whatever is available out front near the main road.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been an Anytime member for a few years now and been fortunate enough to visit over 40 clubs across Australia, Asia & the UK. Clifton Hill AF is hands down the best one I’ve experienced so far. The size, equipment number and variety and cleanliness is unrivalled. The staff are super friendly and supportive which for me is the icing on the cake for a great gym experience.

Fantastic experience: Continues to be a great gym. 24 hour access. Safe and well lit. Lots of space. Clean equipment. Good mix of aerobic bikes etc, free weights and machines. Staff welcoming. Clean showers and toilets.

Negative experience: All friendly until you need to cancel your membership. Edit: Definitely the correct location (on Smith Street, Victoria, near the Petstock). Still haven’t had any progress with sorting out my membership and continuing to be charged despite moving interstate six months ago.
