Positive experience: I’ve had the chance to train at many Snap Fitness locations in the city. Physically, this place is quite good. It has high ceilings, a spacious layout, and new equipment. I don’t have a particularly positive or negative opinion about the staff. In this area, there’s also a similar option in Altona, and I can say it’s even better because they offer group boxing exercise sessions.

Negative experience: Friendly staff and standard facility, but lots of monetary barriers to cancelling your membership. Ends up being more money than it’s worth overall, even after several months of using the facility. Big regrets on getting this membership- I’ve never had to pay so much to stop going!!

It's always spick and span, never stupid busy, there’s plenty of machines in good nick and heaps of weights, and the staff? They're downright delightful! No intimidating musclemen hogging the equipment—just regular folks trying to stay fit without the drama. I’ve been sweating it out here for over a year, and I've always felt safe and respected. At a gym? Who knew? Snap Ascotvale turns exercising into a surprisingly pleasant experience!

Negative experience: where the staff are as friendly as can be, but cancelling your membership is as fun as a root canal. Remember that enticing "$0 to join" offer? Well, turns out, it conveniently omitted the $99 swipe card fee. And if, by some twist of fate, you find yourself relocating to an area sans Snap Fitness and you're locked into an annual membership, get ready to open your wallet wide to break free. Oh, and don't even dream of bidding adieu with a simple text message – escaping Snap Fitness is like trying to crack a code without the manual.

Fantastic experience: A smaller gym than what I am used to but it feels very spacious as everything has been meticulously planned out and the high ceiling with the fans keeps a fresh air flow. This also helps keep the space from not stinking too much! Generally not too busy, even for peak periods (trust me, I’ve seen busy in other gyms and it is extremely off-putting). Equipment all looks and feels brand new and place is kept clean staff and community are very friendly as well. Absolutely love that they have a functional movements section for body weight training and skipping. Just hope they can have the 9Rounds for more body weight training space hehehe In my opinion, you get a little more value than what you pay for weekly as it almost has a botique-y feel to it.

Positive experience: Pretty average snap fitness club. Standard equipment and space layout. The biggest down side is that a lot of space is taken up by 9round being embedded within the gym. So you're paying for less space than other branches and if you want to access 9round, you have to pay even more.

Fantastic experience: Clean and welcoming environment. I have been to a few gyms in the past few years but Ascot vale in particular has stuck out to me significantly. All the staff here are very passionate in their work and provide an excellent environment to express yourself in and work towards your goals. Many other gyms i have struggled to feel comfortable in, here this has not been an issue. From the layout of the gym, the excellent service and the constant consideration from the staff with feedback from members, i highly recommend this as a place to start your fitness journey!!

Negative experience: TLDR: Nothing "world class" about it. A small area for a gym. Not enough equipment, impractical training from in-house PT's and interesting run-ins with members. Cheaper and better facilities available elsewhere. Have been here for around 6 months, so have had a decent experience with this gym. Overall just disappointed that I had a locked-in contract from my previous Snap gym. An unfortunate amount of negatives to touch on. The lack of equipment combined with high volume of members, makes for a hard time to have a consistent workout. No calf machines, no seated hamstring machine, 1 set of adjustable cables in the entire gym. 1 bench press. The 'on-site' parking has a total of 3 parks available to members, but throughout peak periods, are taken up by staff members for hours at a time. There’s some in the area, but as labelled as tow zones for drivers not attending the vet clinic next door. Had a phone call from my old Snap gym to notify me that I was being given a $300+ fine for my partner's card not scanning properly when we entered the gym together on a single occasion. Most days we go together and just happened to mishap this day. The staff member I spoke to from this gym said they have automatic cameras for these situations to limit their admin work. Just comes across as lazy, ironically. The signage around the gym also says this fine is $150 as well... The members are nice for the most part. The downside of this gym is the lack of knowledge and self awareness the members have. Each and everyday that I went during summer, one member in particular would turn off all the fans on the walls, using a step stool. Across my time, I also came across some unfortunately creepy members, using their time in the gym to admire women working out throughout the gym. Last point I'll touch on is the personal trainers. On multiple occasions I've seen the in-house trainers working with clients and training them on the only walkway through the gym. The flow on effect of this, is people leaving equipment scattered across walkways and performing exercises through the limited walking areas during peak times. On top of this, seeing trainers have their clients spread across three different pieces of equipment is comical. Looking at cancelling my membership over the next few weeks.

I feel motivated whenever I’m there because of the environment created by everyone. Would recommend 10/10.

Fantastic experience: I’ve only just recently signed up with Snap Ascot Vale but I’m loving the gym! The gym is super clean with a large selection of new equipment to use. The staff have all been really welcoming and helpful and I’ve just commenced a program with Gaby which has already got me feeling stronger and motivated for the future ahead.

Fantastic experience: I only moved to Melbourne recently and wasn’t sure exactly where to sign up but I’m glad I made the choice to come here! The gym itself is always clean and tidy, it hosts a great range of equipment but the main thing that’s stood out to me here is the team who help run the place! Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly helpful and bubbly, for someone who has always felt a bit anxious in any kind of gym space I’m very grateful that everyone has been so friendly and welcoming! Would 100% recommend coming here :)

Fantastic experience: Not only is the gym really new but the staff here are so lovely and welcoming! As a Women sometimes going to the gym can be a bit frightening but I genuinely have never felt unsafe at this snap fitness. Definitely recommend this gym over other ones in the area!

Fantastic experience: Recently joined this gym and been working out for more than two weeks now. Love going to this gym, its spacious and damn clean. Got all the equipments that you would need and enough space for ground exercises too. There is only one dumbbell set of 1-10kg which i think can be two sets. Rest assured amazing gym and friendly trainers highly recommended.

If you are beginners, look for her - she is amazing - her work out plans have been effective - she is kind , empathetic and will advise you as per your fitness goals. They’ve got decent amount of equipments, very friendly staff always there to help, very neat and tidy toilets and shower area with shampoo, bodywash, nice mirror, hairdryer, straightner, great inhouse radio, etc. They also have members meet and other fun activities too. Ascot vale branch is fairly new and it is also very organized and well kept, plus its 24x7! I get to go at my convenience! And the weekly rates are also very affordable. What more to ask! Superglad that I chose Snapfitness over the others, all thanks to trainers Jess and Paige! ❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of numerous gyms over the past 18 years and this is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. The facility itself is fantastic, and that’s great, but what really separates this gym from the rest is the lovely staff and the community that they create - through not only the gym itself but also the social events that they organise. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Snap fitness has good vibes & it’s cool to see the staff smile and are genuine and are always ready to be of help. I like how it’s only 5min walk from home. Toilets/shower area is clean & there’s always a barbell available if you want to squat/dead lift etc. i like how within the gym facility you look around and everyone working on themselves either independently or training with the PT’s which is extremely encouraging. It’s just a good facility overall especially if you’re a beginner or you’re returning to the gym after a long break.

Fantastic experience: Since moving from a big franchise gym (you know the one) and also smaller boutique gyms, Snap is a breath of fresh air. The gym is clean, they have a good variety of new and well maintained equipment and you don’t have to awkwardly wait around for a rack to be free. The staff are really nice and vibe is never pretentious. Having flexible payment plans and the price also make committing to the gym easier for anyone.

Fantastic experience: The staff are much friendlier than most gyms I scouted. It's a much more laid back environment and less pretentious. Doesn't seem as packed as other gyms in the area so definitely not so claustrophobic.

I’ve been to 3-4 SNAP Fitness locations ( Oakleigh South, Burwood and Ashwood) Nothing comes close to the facilities that this gym has. The bathrooms and showers are spacious. Most people may not care but the ease of accessibility to connect to the WiFi is one thing I didn’t know ow I’d miss. It’s spacious and I’ve always found it to be in pristine condition. Great community too! Oh oh and the fact that they’ve teamed up with local businesses to support them and offer discounts to their own members. I mean what more do you want?!
