Negative experience: 1 time visiting the gym in the evening and my bag got stolen while I was working out. My fault for not having a lock on me but you'd hope a gym like that would be safe. Sliding doors were wide open allowing anyone entry without a need for an entry pass.

Fantastic experience: This place is very good, the facilities are very new, and it is very safe. The staff inside are very enthusiastic and the experience in your fitness exercise is perfect.And there is a free shower and dressing room to use, and there is also a free water dispenser.You can drink water, and the members inside are very polite and willing to help you.Everyone is very friendly and builds a harmonious society.

Fantastic experience: Honestly the team are all very nice to deal with, Adam is great with clients and good to talk to, he will get you the best deal possible, John (Personal Trainer) is responsive, good to talk to and builds rapport well. Knox has a very impressive and good-looking/well presented team all around. Facilities are well maintained, and the gym is pretty big.

Negative experience: The worst and most terrible customer service a gym could possibly have. After 14 months of membership, I reached out to them, explaining that I can no longer continue due to medical reasons and even provided a medical certificate. Their excuse was that I basically have to be paralyzed to cancel because my contract is for 18 months. I know they’re going to come back now with their usual, "We’re sorry, but it’s in your contract," and so on. I’m just trying to warn others not to fall for this, and that their customer service is absolutely terrible. They didn’t even reply to my last email. They said under my review they will call me shortly. Sadly, after three weeks of waiting, I never received a call back. Even when I reached out, I was told they wouldn’t accept my application. Disappointed with the lack of follow-up.

Negative experience: I was a member for a few months last year with Goodlife Knox. I would rarely use my membership and the value it cost me was a lot, so after a few months, I decided to quit. Their debit success third party is a complete disaster - taking money whenever they please and when I have contacted support, no proper resolution was made. I do not recommend anyone to this particular Goodlife location. I had to call 3 times in regards to cancelling my membership. Each time the staff member would tell me ‘the cancellation went through’ which by the way, had a $200 price tag for their bs cancellation fee. After 3 calls and lots of frustration, they finally stopped taking money out of my account. The Goodlife in Wantirna had lovely service whenever I went in so if you have to use their gym, go there. But do not go to Knox, they are money grabbers. Not a good experience at all.

All memberships, when still inside their initial agreed membership term, are subject to an 'early exit' cancellation fee which is a lump sum payment that saves members having to pay out the balance left on their agreement if they unfortunately decide to cancel. Negative experience: I've been coming here for over 2 years now and this wall has never been cleaned once, the whole place looks like it's been occupied by squatters, easily the dirtiest gym in Melbourne, absolutely putrid.

Negative experience: Staff who work at Goodlife Knox are extremely rude. Today I waited 15 minutes to sign up and was completely ignored by staff who were more interested in talking amongst themselves than helping members. I left and signed up with another gym.

Fantastic experience: Just started with them, for a start, Kevin Chu’s Zumba classes is full of OOMPH! Loved them! Body pump tried and good…trying others soon… Tried Mimi’s Zumba class as well -GREAT too! Did RPM with Alan on Sunday-his on-going commentary during the class appreciated!

Negative experience: Very disappointed with this place, I came in at around 12 to check if I could use a specific membership here and the man at the front counter said yes I could. I decided I would be back later. At 6pm I asked how I scan this membership and they continued to ask if I am from Melbourne. Obviously I said yes and the girl at the front said I am unable to use it here, despite me being told earlier I could. I also checked my membership beforehand and it said I could. The manager came out as well as another person and the manager said I could not use my membership here, he said I could only use it if I was from outer state and had an attitude. I was very confused and disappointed. I came back the next day and they said I could use my menbership so I went in and used the gym. Im not sure what happened the day before, but I am very disappointed with this gym.

Fantastic experience: Ive been going to Goodlife Knox for about 2 years and there’s a reason I’ve not changed gyms. The gym equipment is perfect for all my needs. The staff are all so great and friendly. I don’t normally speak so highly of things but Goodlife Knox is the place to be.

Negative experience: Warning DO NOT JOIN GOODLIFE Knox and if you are a current member cancel your membership as soon as possible. You will be financially taken advantage off and ripped of by the staff at the direction of club management. I was a Goodlife member for 14 years and the last 12 months at Goodlife Knox were a total nightmare. I was not able to access the gym on a regular basis, charged incorrectly and harassed by staff. Let me describe my experience to you below. Goodlife Knox started to deteriorate when there was a change of management approximately 12 months ago. The staff at reception did not know how to activate my 24 hour access pass. They would end up giving me a new pass that would work for a short period of time and than stop working. The only explanation they could give was that my home club was Wantirna and not Knox. On the 5th occasion I was given a new card the manager instructed the receptionist to charge me $50. This was despite me telling the receptionist the card I had was not working. When I asked the manager for a refund he asked for the card back and said it would take 15 business days. I was often without a 24 hour access pass so I would have to try and go to Goodlife Knox during staffed hours. However the club was frequently not staffed during advertised staffed hours. There were multiple occasions I would go to Goodlife Knox around 9-10 am and the club reception was not staffed. In addition to not being able to activate my card the club receptionist could not answer basic questions such as what time the club would open the next day. Most of the time I would enter the gym and see a receptionist on they would be texting on their mobile or talking to their friends on the floor while members were being ignored. There has also been a large increase in young adolescent males joining Goodlife Knox so if you like to workout in an environment that does not have an excessive amount of profanity than this is not the gym for you. The toilets would regularly have urine all over the seats and on the floor. There were posters up on the back of the toilet doors that would instruct members to sit down when using the toilet but this was not effective. I was constantly harassed by personal trainers wanting me to get their training sessions. I would often hear them say there is too many trainers at Goodlife Knox and that their rental fees had been increased making it harder for them to support themselves. It really made me feel uncomfortable to have certain trainers pressure me on multiple occasions to sign a contract to get their personal training. I recently moved to a new gym and I am not only happy and enjoying my workouts but I am getting much better results. Had it not been for the previous good 13 years at Goodlife I would have left earlier. Overall I am just happier and in better physical shape for leaving Goodlife Knox. I strongly urge anyone who is currently a member or thinking about becoming a member to look elsewhere as there are so many better options. You have Anytime Fitness, Spartans, Genesis and many many more. At these gyms you will find other members who are happy that they recently left Goodlife Knox. Please join a gym that values its members and stay away from Goodlife Knox.
Negative experience: Was a great gym I usually go late at night when it’s quiet. However now it is so busy at 10pm you can’t even do one exercise. 4 people working on one machine for an hour. Have PLENTY of cardio machines but limited weights machines. Also I’ve been getting countless phone calls when a new PT joins even though I’ve politely said I’m not interested. You pay a higher premium here than other gyms and not sure it’s worth it anymore when you can’t do your workout. Goodlife just keep signing people up not thinking about the impact that will have when there is no equipment available. Also the cleaners don’t clean the showers and do a shotty job of the toilets.

Positive experience: Big gym facility with barely any equipment. Such a shame. Great space and location, but disappointed in the lack of gym machines, lack of free weights and equipment. Clean and tidy facility. Staff are friendly enough but if your looking for variety in your workouts then perhaps suggest going elsewhere.
Positive experience: Not a bad gym but compared to others it definitely isn't a good comparison. The benches are too small so you slightly hanging off one side, there is too little machines for the amount of room they have and the machines themself aren't very good. There is a decent amount of Cable machines which is good and the sauna is good too but some days they aren't staffed until later so they don't turn on yet.
Negative experience: I was injured for 12 months after getting personal training here.
Negative experience: It is a real shame that at this gym they see their cliental as walking wallets rather then people worthy of respect, who contribute to their gym community. I bought a year membership but after moving away, there was about 5 months that I did not attend the Gym at all, instead of seeing this and contacting me about my attendance or membership they allowed the payment to roll over. When I spoke to the manager frustrated about a lack of open and honest communication between gym and gym goer he said "it isn't a viable model' in reference to keeping in contact with the clients. A company that does not value & respect its cliental is simply not one worth your money.
Negative experience: Toilets are filthy. The floors and toilet seats are covered in urine and other bodily fluids. Raised with staff on many occasions who do not seem to care.
Negative experience: Started going to this gym. I find that there are some areas of the gym are not very well ventilated. You can feel it when it gets hot outside. The gym needs to address this before someone passes out.
Negative experience: Poor customer service. The customer service officer on duty charged me 49 dollars for a replacement card when others were offered this for free that I know at the gym… when I said this to her she became rude and standoffish. Sloppy and poor.

Negative experience: We were on a few days trial months ago then cancelled, we were told there won’t be any payments deducted from our bank account but they ended up deducting the money. Called them last week but still not get any refund. Really disappointed.
Negative experience: There is a lady who always occupies space for the group class room for her 2-3 friends who are late in the evening class. It's really unfair for other students.

Fantastic experience: A great gym. Their membership prices are a little steep although their facilities are worth it. I usually go late at night and there are very few people around which is nice. Well designed the cardio , strength and plyometric areas are all separated with smart interior design features which keeps you in the zone when working out. Saunas active during the day but not at night. 2 rooms for dance classes or similar activities and a spin room too. As a member I believe you can get access to some of these features/classes for free. They have ample equipment for everyone too
Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of A LOT of gyms over the years and Goodlife Knox is one of the best. The facilities are clean, well-equipped and there’s heaps of space! There are multiples of popular machines and racks, plenty of weights and different zones depending on how you like to train. The class schedule is excellent and there are multiple rooms for difference classes. Plus the staff are really nice and there’s the ability to pause your membership for 4 weeks free each year. If you’re looking for a great gym, Goodlife Knox is your place - it’s even 24/7 with a sauna!

Negative experience: I used this Gym for 2 years and It was good. Then I asked them to hold my account for 6months,They hold it for a week and deductted money. When I called them asking why did that happend Christopher who called him self the manager accused me I did call them and open the account again. He was very rude not friendly and not try to understand the situation at all instead keep accusing me I opened the account. When told him it must be a mistaken from the staff he said , my staff has 0 mistakes.

Positive experience: Good space and nice gym, but very disappointed with the sauna hours after explaining that I only come after 10 and said I was joining this specific gym as no other gyms in the area have a sauna I was not told when signing up that they would be off after a certain time Good life is a big enough gym to afford better facilities and especially a button to activate the sauna after hours

Negative experience: Year ago when I started using this gym I gave 5 stars and said "best Gym ever". My base gym is Waverley Park and started using this Gym since they change over from Fitness First to Goodlife. I have seen the service levels (not talking taking account of the staff at the reception) taken a nose dive. Staffed hours has reduced and with that the facilities like Steam room and Sauna closed at the same time or earlier. On weekends up to one hour earlier. Any broken equipment never get repaired. Shower at the Steam room and Sauna out of order for almost 3 months now. There are so many broken lockers and never get repaired. Cleanliness is also major issue. I don't know if the gym facilities ever get cleaned. There are no signs of cleaning in change rooms. Recently I was advised my membership payment will increase by around 7%. Reduced service levels, increase fees.... Maybe time to search for another gym!!! I've been a member for almost 6+ years.

Positive experience: When my friend and I went to see what this gym had to offer in person, we were kindly given a tour around the facility and all our questions were answered by the friendly staff working there. Here is what I have found out just by looking at the information on Goodlife's gyms and visiting a few of them: The pricing is super budget friendly, including the start-up fee, in comparison to many other gyms in the area. Their memberships are all great deals and their coaches all seem to be well experienced and specialised (though I have no personal experience with them just yet, I have heard they are good). Their equipment and facilities all seem well maintained and very hygienic, and they offer facilities that most gyms don't, both in this gym location and their other ones, such as saunas, lady's only zone, and a pool (this specific gym lacks a pool and a lady's only zone, though their gym on mountain highway has both of these). This gym is easily accessible with a lot of parking surrounding the area (it's even fairly accessible for those who may rely on public transport), and is close by to many restaurants and cafes for when post-workout hunger hits. My group of friends and I are excited to begin working out with this gym, though we're not too sure when the least busiest times to go are just yet. We were warned against coming during the immediate after school hours though (Thanks!).
Positive experience: The clubs a great place to train whether on your own, with others or even a PT. If you're keen to get fit, active or reach new goals, then the PTs will look after you. I particularly like PT Cam as he focuses on your goals and achievements and helps you not only to reach them, but break past them also. It's also cool that he offers a mixed range of workouts, from giving his clients the option to focus on strength and/or cardio and also offers boxing to clients, as part of his Cardio program. Definitely a trainer to check out if you're keen to take yourself to the next level!!
Fantastic experience: This gym is one of my favourites, with the wonderful group fitness as well as some amazing instructors. I'd travel far to be there 3 times weekly. The facility is reasonably clean and easy to access. Friendly staff and prompt service. Love it!!
Fantastic experience: Awesome experience. Firstly, i was greeted by a smile from Chris and he kindly showed me around the gym and invited me to use the equipment in a friendly manner, prior to me signing up. Providing me with a good deal i couldnt say no! Furthermore, all the staff are super nice and resourceful with information. Great gym would recommend to everyone!!
Negative experience: It is actually a pity that in that gym they care more about the fulfillment of the contract than about the attendance to the gym. I only went 3 days and I am paying a cancellation clause because I did not review a contract of which they did not give me a copy. The lawyer told me that it was best to pay in installments. Review the contract very well because if they do not cancel with their policies they end up endorsed by a collection agency.
Fantastic experience: I’m only new here but couldn’t be happier. The gym is clean, smells fresh, has good facilities, and I somehow got hooked up with a coach with amazing credentials who I completely trust to help me get the results I want.
Positive experience: Good location. Could use a freshen up. Value for money with 24hr. GoodLife Waverley Park is a better overall experience.

Negative experience: Never answers the phone, or always gets put on hold for at least 20 minutes.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Missing a form of seated calf raise but had everything else i needed whilst in Melbourne. The extra hot steam room was a bonus. A shame the rain shower is out of order.
Fantastic experience: The gym is modern with a wide selection of equipment with very little or any waiting times. I enjoy the group classes that are also not too crowded. The mixed sex steam and dry saunas are very inviting. I believe that the club is good value considering all the options. 24 hour is also a bonus.

Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM! They lie to get your business. To entice our son to sign up, they offered a weekly rate with NO cancellation fees, no cancellation period, and a free intro session. He only got the intro session after a lot of reminders, 3 weeks after joining and then when he decided it wasn't for him (after 2 months), they tried to charge us $245 cancellation fee. When we reminded them that it had been waived. They came back and said they'd switch it to 30 day cancellation terms, in which time we'd still have to keep paying AND they added a quarterly $9.90 'Coaching Fee' for services we never agreed to or received. They are also emailing our son asking for payment, when he is not the person that signed the contract, nor the person paying. They haven't provided any evidence that we agreed to cancellation terms. Absolutely, shonky business practice. Reported to Consumer affairs. BUYER BEWARE!
Fantastic experience: Great experience from the minute I walked in the door. I was a returning member from when the Club was a Fitness First and was lucky enough to be helped by the Club Manager who has gone above and beyond every time I've needed assistance. I'm amazed at the development of the Club. Great facilities and friendly staff who make every visit enjoyable & personal each time.

Positive experience: No big egos, just real people trying to do better. Hygiene can be a issue at times, no paper towel and members not encouraged to use towels or clean up after themselves. UPDATE - Big improvement thanks to Jenny!
Fantastic experience: What a Fantastic Customer Service given by Chris today ! Marvellous ! Walked into the GoodLife Health Club for the first time today, wanting information about membership etc. At the end , not only my daughter joined the Club, I also joined the club. Chris’s amazing communication skills, friendliness and such a warm welcoming made me join the club as well. Every single information Chris provided was a top class. Chris, You are a great Valuable Asset to the Organisation. Keep rocking Chris I can see you as an Area Manager in few years time. Fantastic job !
Negative experience: I am using this gym because of location. I paid less for a much better service at my last gym. Even after negotiating price, I still pay more here. Facility is clean. Welcoming feel from about 50% of staff. Plenty of cardio equipment. Not much cable equipment. Missing a lot of basic/key pieces of equipment. Still have to be presented with the scan-in at service desk. Why not a scan-in at the door? If no one serves you the scanner, and you walk in, you will be approached like a criminal. Wouldn't recommend unless it's just convenient location.
Fantastic experience: granted people typically only write reviews when they have poor experiences i’ve decided to go out of my way and in my opinion leave a very real review as i guess a random civilian i’ve been going to various goodlife gyms for 6, almost 7 years. after trying different gyms and methods, i always end up coming back. Granted i have faced one poor experience with being charged extra for something i was unaware of, the atmosphere and gym in general still deserves 5 stars in my opinion. the gym itself is great. by reading reviews it is clear through that the customer service side of things needs some work for some people.

Positive experience: Really great gym with lots of newer equipment and plenty of space. Parking available nearby thanks to Knox City, and the only minor setback is old showers.

Negative experience: 3 emails over 4 months, 4 phone calls and still no resolution. The problem? Cancelling our memberships because we moved out of the area. Dianne said a manager would call us as that was the only person who could cancel. Never called and charged again overnight. We then called again, “ manager needed and call you back “ Absolutely disgraceful for a no lock in contract. I control my cancellation not you guys. Never go with goodlife their facilities aren’t worth their terrible customer service
