Positive experience: Great hard courts, well maintained as they hold international tournaments here. Enjoy playing here as I live close by but if you want to become a member, be aware of few things: 1. Impossible to book after 5pm on weekdays. Tough to book on weekend night time. 2. Guest fee of $12/person. Not very economical if you want to bring 2 or more friends. Borrowing a court and charge more for bringing more people? I cannot understand this rule. 3. Staff can change your booking time if they wish. My booking time was once pushed 30 minutes late without any explanation or reasons given. 4. Late notice of wet conditions. If the surface is wet, they will cancel your booking but the notice is pretty late. If you live more than 20 minutes away from the court, it can be a late notice. 5. Very limited court availability during school holidays, days and night. 6. Any cancellation must be made 6 hours before the booking time. Understandable but you gotta have no plan before or after, or you just cop the fee. It will suit well with retired people or people working from home and have the leisure to play during the day, but for most other people, booking court here is very limited. Just be aware before you join Some reviews on here are incorrectly written by people who attend United Cup so please consider these factors when joining.

Negative experience: If you join as a member with the impression that this is a tennis club that put its “members” first then please do not join. Your membership basically gets you access to courts only at the hours when most normal people are at work as the courts are never available to members during times between 5pm-9pm. During 5pm - 9pm they are booked out for “coaching”. Typical scenario where parents $$$$ are being milked out of them for their kids to be sharing a court whilst being “coached” along with 10 other kids on the court. If you’re looking for a club that puts its members first look elsewhere. This place is all about milking money out of its customers with not much in return. The facilities for Sydney are good, as there is not much to compare to, however you won’t get to use them very often unless you’re jobless and have all the time in the world to play during the middle of the day. Beware also when they have a tournament on. The members get put last and don’t get to play, however you will still be charged your monthly membership fee even when you are not allowed to use the facilities you pay for. Again, if you’re looking for a friendly tennis club who puts its members first, avoid here.

Positive experience: Good courts but some of the staff here need a bit of common sense. They will cancel court hire when there are, on one particular court, 4 puddles on the baseline (ranging from 30cm by 10cm to largest being 40cm wide by 30cm) which they won't allow you to squeegee up and won't allow you to use a towel either. Meanwhile, on courts 4-8 on the eastern side of the centre there is coaching/lessons running for school kids (so the inconsistency of enforcement is an insult). So here's a suggestion if you like policy so much: create a waiver where Tennis World is not liable for injuries if the user ignores the staff's recommendation not to use the court when wet. Other practical suggestions can include: *Get your staff out to squeegee the courts if you're not gonna let your members use it. If you're happy to collect exhorbitant membership fees, make it easy for customers who are trying to get in a hit at a time slot where it's easiest to fit a hit in (early morning). *Pay your staff to start shift 1 hour prior to commencement of the centre being opened because you should be making an assessment of playability then and calling people who waste 30 minutes get to your centre instead of an online SMS service that ultimately fails from time to time. This way it doesn't grind people's gears so much when you're charging expensive fees for a centre where it's hard to obtain court bookings in the first place.

Fantastic experience: For the past two years, we have been using this centre. We had have an absolutely fantastic experience at the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making our visit truly enjoyable. The facilities are top-notch, with well-maintained courts that provided an exceptional playing surface. I was truly impressed by their dedication to providing a world-class tennis experience. Not only does the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre excel in its facilities and staff, but it also offers a wide range of great programs that cater to players of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an advanced player aiming to refine your technique, they have programs tailored to your needs. If there's one thing I wished for, it's that the government would provide more support to this tennis center. With their already outstanding offerings, I can only imagine the incredible new courses and improvements they could bring to the community with additional resources. Fantastic experience: Steven is exceptional in organizing UTR events from communication before, during, and after each event. He is always responsive and supportive. The event itself is considered by far the best in term of how UTR of each participants are considered and grouped into a good draw. I feel it is very beneficial for participants because they can have a good match with most opponents being place at almost the same level.

Negative experience: Payal, the social tennis coordinator was snickering and laughing at me with the other players when I told her I couldn’t hear, if she can please just tell me the court number (I’m hearing impaired). She kept bickering and talking to someone who is hearing impaired! Omg you can’t understand English?! I felt very discriminated and embarrassed, I will never step on to this court again. When I raised it with the centre, they just ignored me, didn’t even get back to me as promised, typical. Their booking system is a mess, and they won’t accept it, keep blaming my email address, which has nothing to do with it. Tim you cannot remove reviews just because names are mentioned, its a free world.

Fantastic experience: I am a gold member at tennis world and honestly this is the best membership I’ve ever had. If you like playing tennis, I highly recommend joining. There is a cardio program and utr is also included. The customer service is great. I would particularly like to mention Steven. He is truly an asset to tennis world and always willing to go the extra mile. All the staff and instructors are amazing. Thank you for all the benefits you have given me and my tennis friends!

Negative experience: Terrible experience with Tim, do not even think of enrolling your kids in this tennis club. First, I got my child in 1 day holiday program and when I went to pick him up, I saw the coach having one of the kids sitting in his lap (appaling) - I would never leave my child on his own with any of his coaches after seeing this. And after speaking with Tim, he advised me that they do not like parents to stay with their kids while they are playing. Seriously??? I was waiting for him to get a spot for my child and he promised he will have a chat with his coaches the same day. I called him after one week as there was no reply and his answer was I have not spoken to my coaches yet. Terrible experience, it is sad that these people are allowed to run tennis clubs and destroy generations of young kids whose parents will pay anything to have a proper and decent coach. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB, IT IS UNSAFE FOR YOUR CHILD AND THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER!

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience at Tennis World for Sunday UTR matches last term. Steven, the tournament director, has done such a great job in organising and managing all the matches every Sunday. He was also super helpful with communication. Looking forward to term 2.

Positive experience: Attended Pulse Live which was wonderful but the traffic was chaotic after the show.

Negative experience: Sign up your kids else where if you want to give them an opportunity in tennis - stay away from here!!! They do not care for your children. Don't put your child on any waitlist. And whatever you do, don't speak or deal with Mitch. He won't have your best intention and only try and sign you up for $$$. He will provide false information and is super negative. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Negative experience: Poorly run association/system. Mitch is a misleading employee -NEVER take a recommendation from him. Behind the counter he thinks he runs the operation and talks down to ppl. IMPORTANT: Don't put your child on a waitlist for coaching as it won't come to fruition. It's been 6 months. Than if you find a coach as per what Mitch told us to do then you'll get kicked off the court regardless of your membership tier. But don't worry he will deny it.

Fantastic experience: Great location and easy to get too, to watch the tennis.

Positive experience: Whilst the courts are world class its getting increasingly harder and harder to get a court booking between 6pm to 10pm after work on weekdays. What is the point of my monthly membership ?? There must be a more equitable and fairer system ? It's also been nigh-impossible for me to get into a Cardio class of late.

Positive experience: Went to the Sydney ATP cup 22 Italy v Australia. Was lots of fun, whilst it easy very busy the facilities were still great. Nice food stalls, great seats and a very nice and clean venue. This was the first time I had been to this stadium and I definitely recommend it. Great atmosphere at the ATP cup!!!

Negative experience: Tennis world academy craving for money, and pay pay pay. My daughter took lessons with tennis world, and been charging thru direct debit. On 3 occasions her classes were cancelled due to bad wheather. She was playing in a covered court. Tennis world cancelled her class to replace with an older class. Tennis world said that she will have make up sessions. This kept on going until 3 makeup classes were accumulated and my bank account is being charged. I asked Tennis world to stop charging my card. The answer was we can't do that, our policy is to use your make up sessions another day. I asked them to cancel her membership and use the make-up sessions on her normal sessions. They proceeded with that and then when I tried to enroll her again, they claimed that her spot was taken. Well done on making money....all the best

Negative experience: Had a random memory of when I was up in Syd for a few months and had a trial with David Berthon who put me in an U12 ‘elite squad’ when I was 18 playing Pennant 3. Charged me a full term too

Fantastic experience: Went to the Sydney Tennis Classic, bought tickets last minute when Andy Murray made it to the final. I think they hosted the tournament really well, making a great vibe in a small place, it was like being in at a mini Australian Open, I will definitely be coming back for next year's tournament. Loved the outdoor deck chair set up with the big screens, someone has put in alot of effort in making these areas really lovely and relaxing. The food that was available was really nice too with good choices including Boost Juice, Wood fired Pizza, donuts, coffee.

Fantastic experience: Had a Cardio class with Triston, love the intensity, loved his drills, had a really good time. The only thing I would change is, with Cardio 8 , Tennis World should put an explanation of drills that will run in the class, so everyone is on the same page, instead of spending half the class explaining the drill, this is an issue with all Cardio classes. Otherwise, 10/10 highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Getting Coaching from Andrew was an eye opening experience, he is by nature the perfect personality to be a coach, gentle and patient while being very technically minded and able to break down the perfect stroke into deceptively simple bite size tips. His high patience really helped me correct my form, bringing more consistency to my game. The negatives of Tennis World Olympic park are, the online booking system, its a pain in the butt to login and to find the class you're looking for. Also, the tokens for classes get assigned manually, Ive been a member for 2 months and had to call each month to ask for my fornightly allowance of tokens. Other than that, the facilities are fantastic, the indoor court is the best in Sydney.

Fantastic experience: MY FIRST EXPERIENCE IN A TENNIS COURT I'M HAPPY TO WATCH THE MATCH BETWEEN VS CANADA IT WAS AWESOME.

Positive experience: I preferred it before they installed the roof. You used to be get a nice breeze. Now it gets too hot as the hot air gets trapped.

Fantastic experience: Great first class facility hosting tournemanys from across the globe. Great place and family atmosphere. Attended the ATP tennis tournemant and I was impressed in the whole set up of the facility. They even catered for activities for children to do.

Negative experience: I booked an indoor court and was called less than 30 minutes before the time I booked to be told I could no longer have the court, because it was raining and they needed it for coaching. My hitting partner and I were travelling across Sydney to meet at Homebush and were already well into our commutes. So you can book an indoor court but will lose it at the last minute if it rains. What a joke. They promised me a refund and two weeks later I'm yet to receive it.

Fantastic experience: I love it

Negative experience: Went to the Swift’s first home game today. Cost us $60 a ticket- the were on sale in the last coupon days for $15. Despite being dropped at the gate half an hour before the game it took more than half an hour to get in the gate. Luckily the game didn’t start exactly at 1. After being in a queue for 20 minutes the powers that be decided to open another bridge to alleviate the crowds- great news for those who had arrived after us and managed to walk straight in! Food and bar facilities were not sufficient to deal with the crowds. Young girls near us went out for food at Beginning of half time and turned back up just before 3/4 time. Hope these are teething problems because the venue is quite nice. They need: 1. to open half an hour earlier 2. at least 1 more each of food and beverage vans - they missed out on heaps of sales because people just gave up and walked away. When you are paying $60 for 1 game (no warm up or reserve games) you expect slick accessible service- either the venue or the netball powers that be need to up their game.

Negative experience: Incredibly disappointing for such a lovely venue to be packed with very rude staff. I stayed on to play after my court booking ended (no one else booked after me) but got chased off the court by a staff member. He continued to accuse me of stealing balls on the court - there was none. Being accused of a thief is completely unnecessary.

Negative experience: The Tennis world in Sydney Olympic Park prob have one of the best courts and facilities in Sydney, even Australia I would say. However the customer service and communication from Tennis world is appalling, the software system for booking is one of the worst online application I have been using. Starting from Jan 2021 I can't make free online court booking(and so don't have the membership benefit for this period) and noticed the fortnightly fee has not been debited from my bank account, assuming January is usually shutdown for Australia Open so it didn't bothered me much. However yesterday I noticed two fortnightly transactions "sneak in" my bank account yesterday afternoon from tennis center. There's no formal email being sent out to explain why these two backdated transactions were made and no apology email to tell customer what's happening over their side. I followed up an email to request a refund from customer receptionist as this "backdated charges" do not look fair to me. It's been bluntly declined by the receptionist which makes me furious. Issue has been escalated and discussed with her manager on the phone this morning, for a nearly one hour phone call I finally get the money back. The manager apologized in the end regarding the matter. I would like to rate zero star for this Sydney Tennis Centre but Google prob don't allow me to do that. The customer team is not willing to accept their faults easily, which made me to decide to quit the membership straight away. I would rather look for somewhere else to play tennis to have a comfortable feeling. Can't rely on automatically debit from the centre. It makes me extremely not comfortable. To be honest, I don't want to do business with the centre.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere

Negative experience: Absolutely no regards for other people's time. Booked in for a morning session with mates but when we go there to check in we were told that we weren't allowed to play because it was "too hot". Adults should be perfectly able to determine whether or not they can play and heat just means more liquid and rest. At the very least they should send texts or emails to let people know before they make their way there (1hr each way for us).

Positive experience: Tennis world offers a super range of packages that combines tennis, health, and fun into one! Revel in aerobic tennis, girls tennis mornings, neighborhood tournaments and a wonderful variety of social leagues. With options to suit every age and skills, each player is certain to get in shape and have a top-notch time!

Positive experience: Went to see the ATP Cup a few weeks back and it was excellent. Only issue I found was the echo in the arena, and as a result the post match interview could barely be heard. I understand there is probably a few things such as dampening that still need to be done following the redevelopment, so hopefully those things will get sorted out ready for next year. I'll adjust my review if so. I'd also like to mention some of the seats were missing their number tags.

Positive experience: Good venue, but sound was ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL! Could not understand a word they said. Seats very uncomfortable to sit in for hours, but view was clear, with screens giving good detail.

Negative experience: What an absolute disgrace. 35 million on an upgrade that is absolutely hopeless. May as well not have bothered putting a sound system in place as it is nigh on impossible to hear a word spoken across this audio atrocity. It is just a muffled mess. Whoever is responsible needs to be named, shamed and asked to resolve the issues. The seating is terribly uncomfortable and conveys a feeling of being cheap and nasty. Entry to the stadium was farcical. As for the tent top, what a joke! I have seen better roof tops at the circus. Should have cost $35000. Game set match. Tennis Australia you need to lift your game! Overpriced and overrated.

Positive experience: Fantastic tennis centre, with good public transport, facilities and excellent food options at the ATP Cup. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars, is because it’s an absolute sauna here in the summer. Even during the night sessions, the centre’s been baking all day (and stays that way all night).

Fantastic experience: We are on family tour here in Sydney. I watched many Tennis matches of Jon Macenro, Boris Baker, Andre Aghadi, Martina Navratilova, Steffie Graf, on TV... But this is 1st time in My life, I enjoyed Live Tennis, in Sydney ATP Cup Tennis. We enjoyed this on 4th Jan 2020... Men's single between Austria v/s Croatia. Players were Dennis Novak (Austria) and Marin Cillic (Cro)...

Fantastic experience: Great courts and many kids gets trained. Amazing courts - indoor/outdoor. Change rooms are well maintained and the toilets. Plenty of place to sit and watch the kids. Trainers are professional enough to teach them properly. Highly recommend. Earlier every class were of 45minutes duration and now it was reduced to 30 minutes but the fee remained the same.

Fantastic experience: Bloody amazing, top quality hardcourts with on site parking aplenty. This place hosts for the ATP250 Sydney event every January, so you're paying little but get to play in the best of competition courts! It also has only two indoor tennis courts within Sydney region.

These have been run at a much higher quality than the Thursday Comps with: - Same day UTR updates - clear and concise communications - really friendly approach from the organiser. Definitely recommend the membership here too! — The customer experience supervisor was amazing. Great coffee at Tennis World.
