Negative experience: Was texting someone via sms, asked me what class I wanted to book in for - booked in for 6:30pm. Showed up on time and in a hurry because the girl at the front told me they were going to lock the doors soon, only to be told I wasn’t booked in as I walked through the door infront of everyone? (Btw speaking through a microphone) so the entire class heard. Never had a more embarrassing experience in my life.

Negative experience: Good Life are more interested in making money from long contracts that young people are unable to keep as they move on in their lives. Gym's like this are fake!

Fantastic experience: My training at good life was initially average, until one day I got a call from PT Rylan. He booked me in for a session, within the first month I had lost 5kgs. 2years later, I am in the best shape of my life, and have never enjoyed training more. He is the best PT ever, super friendly and energetic. You would be lucky to have him.

Negative experience: I wonder if you have some decency to call me on my number rather than sending me text messages with no reply option and emails with no reply options too about the outstanding for no reason. it's been over a year that I have been frequently call your reception 2 discontinue my membership but why on earth You are continuing charging my account and creating unnecessary outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I Came to PT rylan skinny and struggling to put on weight my whole life, always blamed if on my fast metabolism, but within 12 weeks of following his training and food plan. I've gained 6kg of mass and I'm the strongest I've ever been in my life. Also, I love the gym the facilities are great and they have great machines.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for a couple of years now. Good gym, pretty big. Sometimes it's pretty busy, but you can generally work around it. Shout-out to the PT Rylan. Love-hate relationship. He pushes me about 40% harder than I would take myself! I hate it, but I'm the fittest I've been in my life. Thanks mate.

Negative experience: I paused my membership before I left for Europe. This club is still charging me weekly as well as fining me for not showing up to reformer classes that I haven’t booked. They refuse to respond to my emails or stop taking payments from my account despite me contacting them via email multiple times while only 2 weeks into my holiday. Absolutely disgusting.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym, great variety of classes and equipment. But what really made the difference was signing up for personal training sessions with Rylan. After a year of working with him, I'm the strongest I've ever been! I always look forward to our sessions. Rylan truly believes in my potential and just when I think I’ve hit my limit, he pushes me, and next thing I know, I'm achieving things I never thought I could. Fantastic experience: THE ONLY TRAINER YOU WILL EVER NEED Personal Trainer Rylan Crouch, this bloke can never fail you, he will push you to your absolute limits and then some. Rylan helps to guide you with your unique training plan and fully customisable nutrition scheme all while being respectful, professional and most approachable trainer you will ever find. I really love the friendly yet intense approach he brings to our sessions always striving to smash out an awesome workout and make sure I’m absolutely cooked when we are done. He’s helped me to add 30kg to my bench, 40kg to my squat and 45kg to my deadlift. The results speak for themselves.

Negative experience: Goodlife never fails to disappoint. Despite joining on a $0 joining fee and 4 weeks free offer, I was charged for the first two weeks upon signing up. I emailed to advise and was told another 2 weeks would be free. Another 2 weeks have passed and yep, debited again. It took a week last time for an email to be returned which was not pleasant, and having emailed again today, I wonder if this time my multiple payments will be refunded and my account cancelled as advised to do in my last email. The lack of transparency from the membership consultants, about which classes are included in your membership was not explained and this coupled with the unsatisfactory responses received via email, has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the service provided. This is not the first time I have faced such problems with Goodlife, as a similar situation occurred during a previous sign-up process. This is typical of Goodlife and staff earning commission. I won’t be back a third time. It took maybe 10 mins to be signed up, and so far multiple attempts to receive refunds owed and my account actioned accordingly we are in to the weeks. Do better Goodlife, quite frankly, you suck!

Negative experience: UPDATE: Still had to revisit the issue again and had to escalate to manager to get the fee waived for a class I attended. They couldn’t even access cameras for obvious proof I was there. Said they would waive it “this time” only because I kept escalating. Not impressed. Took a lot for club staff to accept errors on multiple levels not without insinuating I was a liar? Pretty insulting and poor customer service. I’ve not had positive experiences with some of the front staff here. Having delays with promised rebates from sales when referring a friend to the gym and chasing up for weeks, being told to call other branches to fix it myself. Then being charged for already attended reform classes! Very slack and greedy having to call up again to fix their errors. Lots of unfriendly attitude loaded talkback from customer facing team members. It’s a shame this culture is the norm there. The class instructors are an exception always wonderful.

Negative experience: Have been going to this gym now for the past 6mths and I must say am disappointed at the quality of this gym. The equipment is sub standard and in disrepair and when it breaks down altogether it takes too many weeks to get it fixed especially when there is not another machine to take its place. The lack of certain machines is also disappointing. There is no atmosphere at all in this gym. Honestly wish I had never signed up with them. They won’t let you cancel your membership so am stuck now not even wanting to go to the gym.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Gym Coomera has a good atmosphere, very friendly staff that give you a warm welcome and a smile and more than willing to help you with any of your enquiries. I have a fantastic trainer Loki Young that’s very caring, very authentic and professional. I highly recommend Goodlife as part of your life experience that leaves you walking out with a smile and feeling much happier to get on with your day !! if you are late with a weekly payment you get charged a late fee of $10 which i think is a bit steep, and i don’t like their billing system, other than that, A Great place !!
Negative experience: no soap in the mens bathroom 50% of the time and you can watch people try to wash then walk out......EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW! TODAY 3 of their staff/trainers are sitting just outside VAPING in the area where it’s says “NO VAPING” what an advertisement. I’m done with this place, filthy and you will get stomach bugs weekly because there is always no soap….

Fantastic experience: We have been going to various gyms for years. Goodlife Coomera has excellent staff who are friendly, welcoming and delightful to deal with. There is a great range of equipment and we have never found it to be too crowded. A great place to work out and keep fit.

Negative experience: I feel really upset that I drove 20 minutes to get there for a reformer Pilates class but I got lost on the way so I was 5 minutes late, 5!!! And they refused to let me in… even there were beds available!! unbelievable. I’m a regular and I do like 3-4 classes a week. This really shows a lack of respect and understanding towards people from the Goodlife team. Update: I was at Goodlife Springwood the other day and one lady came in 15 minutes after the class started and there was no problem at all! so I guess it really depends on what’s the trainer’s mood that day!

Negative experience: The Pilates booking system is horrendous, unfair and greedy. 1. I attended the class on Thursday 8:30 am, I was few minutes late and to my surprise after booking the class well in advance, my spot was given to someone else!!! And now I’ve received a nasty email and was charged $5 dollars for not showing up! Seriously?? I did showed up for the class, this is so disrespectful!, 2. in addition, I was in the waiting list for another Pilates class and never received a text message when shortlisted for the class, which I always received after booking the classes, well I was shortlisted for the class and also was charged for not showing up! It seems members need to guess that if they are shortlisted that they are not going to receive a text message! This information is not provided while doing the booking for the class! Either information that your spot booked in advance is going to be given to someone else if you show up few minutes late, either that you are going to be charged if you booked and show up few minutes late! No one gives you this information, you just found out when this happened! 3. In addition, some pilates instructors are rushing throughout the class, many times I’ve been in the middle of an exercise not even half way still trying to figure out how to do the exercise and the instructor is already explaining the following!, instead of rushing instructors should be checking that people are doing it well!. 4. Most classes are always fully booked! If the classes are in demand you should use the money that members are paying to buy more machines, adequate other spaces and provide more classes! Give the spots that people have booked well in advance to people that showed up at the door class is not going to solve anything 5. They system really needs to be improve and better management is needed, management that not only cares about getting more money but that really cares about members.
Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend. After them signing me up I told them I needed medical clearance.. medical clearance said I couldn't- goodlife then decided to get lawyers onto me for exit fees! Absolute scum.
Fantastic experience: Goodlife gym Coomera is one of the best gyms at the Gold Coast. The equipment is modern, the gym is always clean, and the staff are friendly. It's a great gym. I also like that the clientele is diverse - the place has an overall nice vibe. Usually I go every day, early morning when it is a bit quieter. Never have to wait to use anything. Turgut Soylu the club manager is very helpful and loves to help out anyway he can, a special thanks for Hannah Goulding for her help.

Fantastic experience: Lovely gym, with the best selection of dance classes in the whole of GC. Dance fitness 5 days a week!! Dance community is lovely with one of the best trainers around. Equipment is adequate but can get a bit busy during the rush hour. The only feedback I would say is that female toilets need regular cleaning and maintenance.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Coomera has everything we looked for in a Gym. The Step Class with Janet is an amazing high impact exercise, the Reform Pilates have very highly qualified instructors and the very friendly admin people (Danni) makes the experience unmissable. It all motivates a workout everyday of the week. Thank you all.

Positive experience: I joined the gym and got offered two PT training sessions. Nothing is free, we got charged an admin fee and some other fee that “covers” the PT. Anyway I’m not new to the gym so waited for two weeks and despite the promises about being contacted by a PT few days after joining , nothing happened. I raised this with Lara several times and the response was the same “oh so sorry will definitely make sure they contact you”. Common guys, if you say something is going to be done get it done , nothing more annoying than feeling stuffed around. Lucky I’m sort of familiar with machines etc so found my place quite quick but would I have been a new person to the gym i would felt let alone to my own devices and lost. Imagine having access and not knowing what to do. Previously trained at emf for two years and staff were definitely nicer and things got done. We moved to this side of the highway and this place is convenient but such a bittersweet flavour. I told Lara that I don’t want to be contacted anymore as it has been over 3 weeks so what’s the point I’m just upset. I guess some people are just numbers where everything is smiles and good treatment while signing but then after they just give you attitude . To add up I would say 50% of members don’t use a towel and nobody cares or says anything, this is disgusting having to use a machine covered in sweat. Also I noticed that most people don’t pick up after their mess and leave machines loaded with weights without considering for the next person. Nobody from the staff is able to do walk around a and be reminding of everyday house cleaning and behaviour. I’m sure if you are working out and a member of the team comes to you in a respect way you have no tiger solution but to change your behaviour. I guess the culture other gyms have about caring for the place and being respectful for everybody else is not there . Pick up your customer service game Good Life
Fantastic experience: Parking at Coomera is a breeze. Equipment is great, even though sometimes there are some pieces out of order. Facilities are clean and well-serviced. The gym itself is well laid out and, from my perspective, I spend a lot of time doing stretches and the large open floor area is fabulous for taking the time required to do quality stretches without feeling like you're in other people's way. Always come away from the gym feeling happier for doing it.

Negative experience: Why did an instructor not show up for our 7.15am Arena this morning? Myself and a couple of diligent women showed up, It's not good enough What's worse is one of the ladies that waited with me had exactly the same experience at Bundal last week. I enjoy my time at the gym but I believe if I drag myself out of bed on my day off to put myself through pain The instructor must turn up. Negative experience: Yeah told one thing, play nice guy, get your money and that's it, no support to get you to use your membership, I got no merch, did 2yoga classes, I have been civil my membership was built on nothing but a sale pitched lie. My key card doesn't even work, no calls to follow that up, but my phone is off the hook when you want the money, that double tap passive aggressive on my bank account, after a call on a Monday work hour, that I can not answer and I have said this in the past, pretty sure some lines have been crossed, do what the membership pays for, your job, getting people like me, who are paying every week for 14mths, in the most part $33pw $10 dishoner, rent went up and pay day changed, a call, a text, that would of resolved it all. Fake as the signage you use. No care for it's member just the status and cash. Take a bow.

Negative experience: Signed up and attended Coomera locations goodlife health club for years frequently using my membership and the crèche for my two small children. They closed the crèche and offered free cancellation to parents using the facility. In October Hannah the membership consultant manager told me I in fact hadn’t cancelled my membership but since I called up two weeks prior about the issue, I’d only have two more payments left and my membership would be cancelled. We are now end of November and I am being harassed to pay $150 and am being gaslit about not cancelling my member ship either time (July and October). Poor customer service, poor problem solving skills and poor morals and 0 care factor for your long time and loyal members. Disgusting behaviour.
Fantastic experience: One of the nicest Goodlife Clubs I've been to. Initially trained here with a mate with no intention of actually joining but I have now been with them for over 18 months! Highly recommend and once you've been with them for your minimum contract period it's not difficult to opt out if circumstances change

Fantastic experience: If it wasn't for one person I would have rated this one star. I joined Goodlife and I advised them I want to build muscle after a gruelling 5 years of major hip surgeries including a double hip replacement. Initially I was passed onto a PT in which advised them of my history and to cut a long story short, he totally disregarded everything I had said, and our first session was purely based on his strengths and I was totally ignored. I ended up flat on my back for 3 days with inflamed disc and sore hips. Even worse, I notified the manager who took on no responsibility, nor did they even follow up just to ensure I hadn't done any long term damage. Super frustrating as I was getting into shape and due to my operations I had to start my fitness journey so many times! Now again, I have to recover because a so called professional was short sighted and ignored everything I had said to them. A week had past and I received a call from Isaac, it was a marketing call and an offer to do a free session. I told him the issues I had and he checked things out with the manager and called me back and we arranged a time. At this time I was about to cancel my membership and start training at Hype Pimpama. Just to note, after my surgeries I have had personal trainers, I was Melbourne based at the time, they were superb in every way, they pushed me in many ways and not once did I ever do an injury. I met with Isaac and straight away he got me, knew what I wanted to train and I started my sessions with him. I felt confident in his ability and I can say he pushes me to the limit, in fact Isaac is the best PT I have ever had. Isaac listened, then applied the training and the results are speaking for themselves. Furthermore I am training 5 days plus a week so I need to eat the right foods, Isaac's cost also includes a nutritionist who's been fantastic so far, nothing over the top just grounded and knowledgeable. If this business had to rely on a PT like the first I had who wont listen and has no idea of injuries, or the manager who wont respond to people with injuries they would be broke. I am not quite sure why its is so hard to make a phone call after you've identified someone was injured in your workplace. Lastly, I would like to thank Isaac for a holistic approach to training and being able to identify my goals promptly and then applying a program inside and outside the gym into helping me achieve them.
Fantastic experience: Best gym going! I've been a member of several gyms over the last 10 odd years and Goodlife is the best. Then within Goodlife, Coomera is the BEST haha! Not only is it HUGE, but it's NEW, CLEAN and the staff (lead by Turgut) are simply awesome.
Fantastic experience: Great friendly gym, plenty facilities and so many good trainers to choose from to help set your goals and keep you on track
Negative experience: This gym is absolutely filthy! The group fitness room is always grotty. Filthy mirrors and floors, antibacterial wipes constantly out, massive hair balls, fluff, fingernail clippings, just to name some of the disgusting grot you get face to face with when doing a push-up in a pump class. I do classes every day and the same mess is there day after day, making me assume no cleaners clean this facility. Don’t even get me started on the bathrooms. Horrendous! Have reported to reception time and time again and nothing is ever rectified.

Positive experience: Gym is a decent size but the machines are terrible to use. They lack in equipment/machines and the layout is terrible. Lack of mirrors especially in the await racks so can’t check your form more majority of your exercises. The only good thing is that on weekends you can bring a friend during staffed hours for free. They also couldn’t cancel my membership when I went in because the staff didn’t know how. Have to wait for a call to cancel over the phone. To be fair most gyms don’t train all of their staff to be able to everything, which is really inefficient.
Negative experience: Love this gym not reviewing the equipment, staff or anything else but the music is so depressing. The music reminds me of waiting on the phone for an operator for 1 hour, horrendous.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience and friendly team, while up in QLD for a few days I enquired about some day passes. Kayla and the team were fabulous and looked after me
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE- DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU- CONSISTENTLY BUSY - RUDE STAFF - MONEY HUNGRY. Staff make out like your dumb. I know what it’s the contract, I read it. I understand the ‘ongoing’ part, however I’m pretty sure I would have asked for fixed term as I’m not one to really commit to the gym, but apparently the contract in my emails stated that I ticked ongoing.. weird.. not easy changeable at all. My annoyance is, that I got a phone call after over a year of this company taking money out of my account for one missed payment. I asked why they didn’t send out and kind of correspondence via email in relation to the year per-say “renewal” coming up even though ongoing, we should be given a chance to cancel the membership. Of course thats not what they want. When I stated I wanted to cancel my memberships the staff member was more then happy to help me with that. They stated that they would take off the dishonour fee and charge this weeks and next weeks together. I was then very confused. I stated I was happy to pay this weeks but no further payments are to come out of my account. They then stated I have to wait 30 days and then it’s cancelled and no furthest payments will come out. I have to wait a whole extra month to pay for something again that I’ve only used 10 times or less in over a year and not at all this year! This company is an actual joke!!
Negative experience: Don’t take their membership or give them your bank account details. They overcharge you number of time during your membership and then blame their debit processing company. They have no moral values. Staff is rude and doesn’t care about customers.

Negative experience: After years of coming here I'm moving on. I really hope Goodlife takes notice of these sort of reviews, because there's lots of issues that aren't being addressed. The mens bathrooms are filthy, all the time. Walls are never cleaned, there's dust everywhere. The toilet brushes look like they've been there for 6+ months. There's almost never hand soap either. I've seen bits of snot sit on the walls for weeks. I won't even mention the toilets themselves. There's never enough sprays and paper towels to wipe equipment down after use. There's almost always chewing gum in places on machines and the time it takes for equipment to be out of order to functioning is very long. I've manually hand tightened the Allen bolts almost every week on most of the resistance machines in which you sit down. This could potentially lead to serious injury, especially for the older users of equipment. This has been reported by email on a few occasions when feedback emails have been sent out. Some other quick things: Lots of equipment is very worn, cable plastics coming off, filthy shielding around plates on resistance machines and some machines obviously need a lot more lubrication maintenance. Some kettle bells have very rusty handles, carabiner clips are damaged and few and far between. I know this sounds like nit picking now but these issues are all non existent at other local gyms. If you've had the opportunity to check out other gyms, such as World Gym in Upper Coomera and Hype Pimpama, you'll actually be shocked at the comparison, especially as these gyms have a creche.

Negative experience: My daughter joined prior to Gym opening. I went with her as I thought of joining but decided against it. I asked if down there track she does not use the membership can she transfer it to me. Was told at any stage of her membership. We just rang as she never uses it to complete a transfer. And apparently you can only transfer with in first 6 months. Sales people will tell you anything just to make a sale. Yes I’m sure it’s in the contract but when a specific question is asked you would expect an honest answer. Not a lie.
Negative experience: Horrible atmosphere, it was really judgmental and fake.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Staff are friendly. Great trainers who motivate you. Great atmosphere in general. Out of all the Goodlife gyms Coomera is my favourite. Main reason it’s close to home. The equipment is great and well placed with plenty of room to move. Even get to watch the sunrise while on one of the many treadmills.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of many different gyms in my time. I have found GoodLife Health Clubs to offer the most for the small price you pay. I recommend the Platinum membership which gives you access to all club locations. The premises are very hygienic and easy access to state of the art gym equipment.
