Fantastic experience: Kula is such a beautiful and warm-hearted space! The space is so well thought of; calming, and incredibly well-maintained, creating the perfect environment for relaxation and practice. The teachers are exceptional – they bring a wealth of knowledge and guide you with care, ensuring that everyone, regardless of skill level, feels comfortable and supported. What I love most is the variety of classes they offer. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to deepen your practice, there’s something for everyone. The sessions are thoughtfully structured, blending challenging sequences with restorative moments, so I always leave feeling refreshed and balanced! And, the Hawthorn community is so wonderful!

The classes are amazing and you can take it at your own pace. The instructors really connect with the students and after the class I always feel so much more grounded and happy. Fantastic experience: I loved everything about the experience! The variety of classes, the facilities and props, supportive instructors, and the ease of booking classes. Some sessions had me feeling stretches in parts of my body I’ve never felt before!

Fantastic experience: Three weeks ago from today, I was a complete newbie. I had never attended a yoga class in my life, and would have said the child's pose was the fetal position. But I was curious, and so signed myself up for their starter pack. I pledged, to no-one but myself, that I'd give it a proper go. That I'd do every single type of class they offered, and meet every one of the teachers they had on staff. And as of today, I have completed my little challenge. And I can say it was a wonderful experience. The teachers, every single one of them, are all so wonderful. Kind, thoughtful, informative, and always helping those newbies (like me) from feeling lost or like we're falling behind. The studio itself is wonderfully calming, with a warm, soft atmosphere and an excellent ambiance. If you're looking for a super beginner class (minimum workout or flexibility) I highly recommend Dhini's Sunday yin and meditation class. Dhini has been teaching for at least twelve years, and the experience really, really shows. Despite the low strain on the body, the excellent guidance through the meditation was second to none. If you're looking for a more spiritual, self-connective yoga, this is the class for you. If you're after something a bit more on the exercise side, looking to build strength in cardio and in flexibility, the hot and flow yoga classes are excellent, but Lisa's early wednesday morning pilates/yoga combo reigns supreme. It will be tough, but I can honestly think of no better way to really find what you're capable of. Ria and Emily are also both lovely teacher's I'd highly recommend, each with a very strong focus on the quality and innovation in the ways of practicing yoga. If you let go of that little voice that says you can't do it, you'll find your body in shapes you'd never dreamed of in their classes. All in all, it was a stellar experience that I cannot recommend enough, and even as my first timer pass is expiring, I'll surely be getting a more regular one to come right back to class.

Fantastic experience: I opted for the 3 week discovery pass at Kula Hawthorn and the teachers, studio and equipment are excellent. I'm a yin yogi and there are many options with times and teachers. I tried them all and then rebooked my faves, big shout out to Dhini and Laura. Highly recommend Kula for experienced or beginner yogi's, you will find your jam at Kula!

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently started at Kula Yoga in Hawthorn. I trialled the 3 weeks and found the extensive range of yoga suited my lifestyle. I’ve taken out a membership now and am enjoying spending the winter mornings and evenings in a warm room.

Fantastic experience: So therapeutic , simply AMAZING. I've been to many yoga places. This is the first studio that made me like yoga (I didn't know I could like yoga!! ). I've been mostly doing intensive workouts that are usually 99% male. It was so refreshing and nurturing to be surrounded by other women. Even without having any close interactions with anyone, I felt peace and comfort in the studio. I started with ClassPass then joined a 3-week unlimited intro. I got my wrist injured from another workout and about to move to another place so I haven't been back If I were to stay in Hawthorn, this would have been definitely my #1 place to go. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Love Kula Yoga classes! Every session is different with variety of moves and postures which keeps the practice intense and interesting! The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable, they are also very helpful and encouraging during the classes. I particularly enjoy the hot yoga classes which leaves me feeling energised and refreshed!

Fantastic experience: The classes are phenomenal, and the teachers are amazing—compassionate, patient, caring—the whole shebang. You know what's actually really good? The first asana (pose) compliments the next one, fluidity at its finest. The teachers are in sync with one another—following a 'plan'—no surprises here—and once you get into the zone, although you know which asana is to follow, it's a great opportunity to finally be able to connect the breathing with the pose without questioning, 'what are they doing, I haven't been taught that?' This is merely my second week, and I'm slowly getting into the groove, but it will take time, and honestly, I'm so cool with that because I have found myself a little haven of deliciousness at Kula Yoga x Hope to see y'all there, Namaste!

The August retreat in Bali was absolutely fantastic. Location was divine along with the food and company, and of course the twice daily yoga classes. Highly recommend the Studio and the staff with 5 stars.

Their deep understanding of the practice, as well as compassionate approach, creates a safe & nurturing space for practitioners of all levels. I also appreciate the variety of classes and teachers, as well as special workshops offered by the studio. These provide an opportunity to either deepen mastery or explore new practices and parts of self. The studio and amenities are very well maintained, which certainly adds to the overall positive experience. Kula embraces and lives up to their name (Sanskrit word for "community" or "tribe"), creating a space where everyone feels like they can come to practice, play, explore, and simply be.

I learnt the style that she was a student of (Soma Chi) a long time ago too and still get so much out of practising with these principles of movement and postures. A definite highlight of my visits to the city from the country. People of a wide range of ages and abilities come and it is lovely to be warm, but not too hot, in her flow classes with thorough, fulfilling and dynamic sequences.

They could lean more into the spiritual side, but there is enough without turning people off. I feel welcomed by the staff and Kula has become a regular safe space for me to practise for my mind and body.
