Fantastic experience: Love love this gym. All trainers are so friendly and are always welcoming. You feel like family when you arrive. A special shout out to my trainer Vytis, without your patience, encouragement and supporting demeanour i probably would have given up on myself again but you wouldn’t let me. Your training is unique, makes sense and not hard on the old joints but works the whole body. Amazing. Team Good Life you are amazing

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Kaleb for 6 months now. Kaleb genuinely cares about you and your progress and as such creates such a fun and professional space. I’ve never been very consistent but Kaleb has helped me so much with this, and I am seeing so much progress. I highly recommend Kaleb!!

Negative experience: Club is lack luster, failed to modernise and has equipment greater than 10 years in age and In poor condition. There is always is something broken in change rooms such as lockers, showers and centrifuge and has insufficient seating. Don't waste your $$$. There are better clubs around!

Negative experience: My experience during the weekends: most of the time the Jakuzzi tub wasn’t working, the on/off buttons were broken. There were no tissues to use after the shower. I work full time and visiting the gym just to use the pool area once/twice a week. Why I should pay about $20 weekly to come and get disappointed?! I wanted to cancel my membership 3 times in the last 6 months but I was told I signed a one-year contract and I have to pay about $250 if I want to cancel it earlier. When I joined the gym, it wasn’t mentioned to me this policy before signing up. When I objected, manager told me you received an email about the policy and you didn’t say anything about it. I have a feeling of mislead in this situation. Please ask about the membership policy and cancellation fee before signing and joing this gym! And if you are working full time like me, consider spending $1000/year to go somewhere else to exercise, swim, and have fun. I am really disappointed in this situation! The owner responded to this review on the 20th of Nov to come in person to discuss the membership cancellation. I went there today, Saturday 23rd of Nov, but the respond to my review was deleted when the staff in charge wanted to check. No success for the cancellation yet, and again no tissue available in the changing room area!

Negative experience: Each day is something broken or too long to be fixed. Sauna, Steam Room, Dryer machine, Spa, Showers, etc. And the smell/clean is terrible in these areas. EDIT: Looks good now, but the Men's Bathroom still with the Dryer Machine broken.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Kaleb, the Personal Trainer at Goodlife Mermaid Waters. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Before I started with Kaleb, I had no prior training experience, but he kindly created a great plan for me. I lost 5 kg in 3 months, and the training never felt too hard—it was always fun! He constantly motivates me. The facilities at Goodlife are also fantastic—always clean, with a respectful atmosphere. I always feel good vibes when I’m there.

Negative experience: Yuck yuck yuck. I actually cannot believe GoodLife STILL has not renovated the rundown monstrosity that is their Mermaid Waters facility.

Positive experience: I was at mermaid gym today and I saw few people in the reception area taking off the shoes and socks, touching they feet and then touching the couch, that is very antihygienic, that kind of thing should be done in the restroom area not in the reception area, but the gym and the staff are great, this is my second time here I normally go to the other good life gym the members of the gym should know where to charge their personal clothing.

Fantastic experience: I’m a long time member of this fantastic gymnasium facility in Mermaid Waters and in recent months I have taken up the PT offerings of a very impressive young man called Kaleb Anthony, his extensive experience in strength and conditioning coaching is second to none and I would highly recommend him to anybody who would like to get serious with their health and fitness regimen.

Fantastic experience: Came here to say I highly recommend Kaleb the Personal Trainer at Goodlife Mermaid Waters, he is very knowledgeable and patient as well as provides an incredible plan. I have had plenty of personal trainers in the past but Kaleb has gone above and beyond my expectations. He would check-in through his online app and by message. Negative experience: I was scammed by Burley waters I have injures that hydro therapy Where i need to float standing up Pool was not deep enough when told it would be.Then i went and signed upon the Thursday told them didn’t want to start till monday i paid that day but money was not taken till the monday i went in the following monday to find the pool was not deep enough I have asked for refund where they tell me i have past cooling off period.monday to monday is seven days they tell me i signed contract the Thursday before so have exceeded the seven days They have scammed me out of three months i paid for on the monday and have cancelled my account cant use card or gym i paid for

Negative experience: The Sales tactics that are used to acquire clients don’t align with the club’s policies. Facilities in this particular club are outdated. Try EMF if you are looking for a gym with all the extra bits alongside a transparent sign up process.
Fantastic experience: Love the amenities here, plenty of parking available, the pool and spas, classes available
Positive experience: I just had my trial and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Roberta showed me around the facilities, she wasn't pushy at all and Erich literally gave me his spare gym shirt when I said that I had forgotten mine ♀️ I know everyone has different needs in a gym but if you want to feel welcome when you walk in (like me) and not too intimidated to use everything then I highly recommend .
Negative experience: Need at least one more leg extension machine and more mats to the classroom.
Negative experience: Whatever you do, don’t get on their call list. An acquaintance put me on their list (without permission) to get a cheaper rate and they’ve called or text everyday for what feels like forever (must be about 3 weeks). Definitely feels like the customer is money to acquire, rather than a person to help.

Fantastic experience: I'm a Goodlife member, Mermaid is not my area, but I attended pilates and aqua aerobics. Amazing gym, I highly recommend this!
Fantastic experience: Love the staff there. They always go out of their way to welcome you no matter how busy they may be, They're also very helpful. Good equipment and facilities. The only negative I can come up with is that the saunas aren't always working.
Positive experience: First time training at this club, the staff were amazing (Kim especially) at showing me around the gym and it’s facilities. Not the easiest place to train at peak time as it’s quite small with limited machines & space, however, it’s not as busy as other goodlife gyms on the coast. Pools & Spa are a big bonus compared to some other clubs on the coast.

The vibe and energy of everyone is lovely however Kim, Alex & John have amazing service from the moment I spoke to them over the phone and @ the gym. Negative experience: Gym itself is okay, but when it comes to staff…. Look, i called to pay and close my account a month ago to be told that the system is down and they will call me back, all this time i received no phone calls and continued being charged. I called today to do the same thing just to be told that they will call me back and that hasn’t happened yet . Well i will not be calling anymore, i will take this case even further so I don’t have to pay an extra cent to you because i am being charged since last month where i wanted and tried to cancel. Your failure into closing my account falls into your hand and so i refuse to pay any extra fees when i wanted to cancel my account last month (and should been able to) . Plus i live in Sydney and I don’t even use your facilities. Farewell Goodlife, i never had so many issues closing an account with a gym before.
Fantastic experience: I hate gyms. However, I like this one because it has a great pool area with two large hot tubs (that are actually hot) Also, two huge saunas and two huge steam rooms. There is no other gym on the coast with these facilities. Kim at reception is a really nice guy, which is the icing on the cake.
Negative experience: Bad management run by Michael who never smiles and likes to bully and unfairly dismisses people who are better at doing work.
Fantastic experience: Good place to train and meet new people. Not mentioned group classes and staff.
Positive experience: I enjoy Goodlife Health Clubs as I have several in my neighbourhood and can choose which one to go to. The facilities are slightly different e.g some have pools, so I can maintain some variety.
Negative experience: GIGANTIC ISSUE, with toxic masculinity. Update: the manager Erich had the audacity to call me up, but not out of concern for women at their gym, but because of their concerns for their business and damage to reputation. Perhaps being proactive in dealing with such issues might serve Erich well.
Fantastic experience: Great club best on the coast. Best PT is Dean favourite
Positive experience: Pretty good gym. Quite dated in terms of the decor and locker rooms but other than that, solid gym with good facilities e.g. pool, steam room, sauna and hot tubs.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Natalie's hot yoga for about 2 years and have been really enjoying her classes. The classes are vinyasa and have many variations. It's so good to start the day with her classes!
Fantastic experience: This club is so welcoming and the staff, from the admin to the trainers and groups facilitators, are so lovely. I have a wonderful PT Dean who goes above and beyond, as well as amazing group trainers Yuri and Teoh who do Body Attack . Thanks for all you do guys!
Negative experience: A dirty, neglected, shabby gym and the employees are very rude and incompetent. DO NOT GO HERE !

In the 7 months I've been training here the staff have always shown compassion and friendliness, have been motivating and encouraging towards myself and others I train with. I wouldnt consider training elsewhere.

I always look forward to my visits here and leave feeling energized and motivated. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great workout experience! 5 stars! I have been fortunate enough to create beautiful friendship with other community members. Negative experience: I have been working out on this gym around 10 years now and I never ever seen any new equipment. All the equipment is old and broken almost of the time. I'm very disappointed.
Negative experience: Been going here for over a year now and since Goodlife took over it went from bad to worse. It's really hot, you can hear people complaining about it while you're working out. By the afternoon the gym is a complete mess. The facilities are really dirty and smell. And it's super crowded in the afternoon.
Positive experience: Good gym with nice pool and steam areas. Changeroom floors consistently very wet.
Positive experience: Great facilities especially the pool area. Some equipment could be upgraded on the gym floor but overall this is a very nice gym!
Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!!! I've been a member for almost two years and the place has turned into a complete mess. They've signed up way more people than actually fit in the gym, which means no parking, and not being able to use the equipment you want. Speaking of equipment, it's constantly "out of order", and nobody bothers to fix anything for months. The only leg extension machine has had a snapped wire for weeks, there are literal divots in the ground (a safety hazard!?!?), treadmills and bikes worn/broken. Never ending issues. When I bring this up with management, I get told that the umbrella company is trying to sell the Queensland brand and they don't want to put any money in. Why are you signing be members up then? And where is all the new revenue going!? The only reason I keep coming here is that my personal trainer, Tomek, is amazing, but he's contracted to the club. I can't wait for him to leave one day, so I can follow him to a good gym!
Negative experience: Joined on a 12 month contract in 2020, now at the end of 2022 I’ve been told I have to give 30 days notice to end the contract. The loyalty I did have for that whole period clearly meant nothing. Doesn’t seem to be much money going back into the gym, has deteriorated since 2020. Really disappointing, I would have liked to have returned in the future but now I definitely won’t be.
Negative experience: Four weeks iv been here now and the spa has worked once. Today the spas are closed the steam rooms are closed the sauna doors and broken and the hairdryers dont work. Money well spent.

Negative experience: I've been going to this gym for almost a year. We didn't have any changes after he started calling Goodlife. It just went to much worse! The gym is so crowded, very dirty, horrible service and disrespectful members (no rules, carrying huge bags to hold equipments, also members not sharing equipments). Too many negatives to report, but I won't waste my time, I just hope my membership ends soon. Clearly I do not recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Been going to this gym for years even before when it was called fitness first. Very disappointing since its changed to goodlife there is no new equipment, the cleaning standards have dropped dramatically. And all members pay different rates I pay over $50 a fortnight and others pay around $30 or below. Do not recommend this gym there is green algae growing around spas and rust everywhere in pool area.
Positive experience: I go to 4 different clubs regularly and mainly come to this one for the pool. The change rooms and showers could use a deep clean.
Negative experience: Really want Goodlife to do well here and I want to change this to 5 stars...mens change rooms need a good scrub- never any soap in the dispensers, which is a simple thing...come on Goodlife-spend a bit of money on the place- it needs it. Long and loyal member here and I love Fitness first and now Goodlife :)
Negative experience: Toilet and locker room is always dirty. Not cleaner issue, when they clean at night, its clean. But the problem is day time, they should check and clean it during staffed hours
Fantastic experience: Addicted to cycle classes! 5.30 am starts I get it all over and done with! Great instructors and a great experience as it is eclectic group of members that are not only insta famous or big beefy dudes but regular people of all ages and sizes getting together for their various reasons. I am loving it !!
Positive experience: Needs updating of equipment, good pool l and sauna area, change rooms. Excellent dietary foods and supplements and friendly staff.
Negative experience: They signed up my son who is under-age, took his card details and are refusing to let him out of the cooling off period. Disgusting behaviour
Fantastic experience: I have enjoyed being a member of fitness first for over 4 years and can’t rate the staff and amenities high enough, since joining I have been frequent at the gym as it has everything I need as swimming, sauna, steam room & gym upstairs also there are plenty of aerobic classes etc to choose from, highly recommend. Negative experience: Didn't go there
Negative experience: This Gym enables dirty old men to perve and follow young girls around the gym at night and does nothing about it, even staff were watching and still nothing was done to stop someone who came in with another member
Negative experience: Super packed, you can barely move in there. The equipment is also fairly old. I think you can find a better gym for the price somewhere else on the GC Never tried the classes however
