Negative experience: I simply give up trying to enjoy a casual swim here! Every time I've tried to enjoy a morning or afternoon swim over the past 2 years, I've left disappointed and plain angry at the waste of money paying for the entry to a public pool only get 20-40mins of pool time. If you're wanting to have a casual swim or float around, make sure it's during the middle of the day or you can forget it! Every time I've come here alone or with my teen the past few years, I've got shuffled from lane to lane and pool to pool. This is despite asking before paying what availability of lanes there is to the public. Last visit we were told 3 lanes were available in the 50m pool and 2 lanes in the 25m. After 20mins, the center lane of both 50m and 25m pools ended up being the only lanes available to the public as all other lanes were being used by the swim school and squads. So sharing a single lane with other casual lap swimmers and kids still meant having to cross the lanes being used by large swim classes if you aren't able-bodied enough to climb out where the diving blocks are! When I asked both the lifeguard and one of the swim school instructors where the public paying swimmers could actually swim, both were abrupt and told me the swim school has priority use and for me to use the kid's rock pool or toddler pool!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, basic gym covering all needs and pools for all levels. Everything you need in a fitness centre without the masses of people, perfect!

Negative experience: Tried doing hydrotherapy today. Got everything ready. Helped new support worker get to the pool. Got there on time. Walked up to the door just as physio was arriving. Everything was good. The whole morning has led up to this moment. And the centre was closed. No notification on website. Just a handwritten sign out the front. Would appreciate better communications around closures as this was a big ordeal for me.

Positive experience: I really enjoy the 25 and 50 meter pools, however there are too many children in both pools. Particularly the 25 outdoor pool. Parents are non existent and if they are, they are totally oblivious. The so called life guards are worse. No one cares that children are interfering with those who actually want to swim.

Negative experience: All good when I came here yesterday but today my friend and I paid for entry and I kid you not 2 minutes later the lifeguard told us we were under age and we had to leave unless supervised by a parent or guardian, but why wouldn't they have said anything at the kiosk or the 50 other times I had come here. I am fairly disappointed.

Negative experience: What is this place, are you a swimming school or are you open to the public? Every time we come to swim we are pushed around from pillar to post because of some swim classes or similar that take priority, you can`t do both at the same time. The front of house staff are lovely and the lifeguards but the Swim coach that reprimanded us for using their lane is an absolute bell end and needs to learn some basic manners, not coming back ever.

Fantastic experience: Great pools for little ones and the big kids to . Excellent teachers for swimming lessons they are highly focused on teaching kids to swim engaging fun and safety into it keeping my kid wanting to go back.

Positive experience: Quiet during the day apart from swimming lessons. Cafe on premises. Small enclosed kids area with slide, warm indoor pool for babies lessons

Negative experience: 50 Metre Pool- Very clean looking. Unfortunately when I went there lately the 50m pool attracted a mother and father with two children playing with noodles taking up two entire lanes (after their plastic bag blew in and went into a lap swimmers lane), a lone old lady taking up an entire lane to do aqua aerobics, a man taking up a lane with a kid that squealed and screamed and jumped in time after time and another time a large Kiwi family (many kids) attempting to enter but as the pool was overly packed they turned away. All these times actual swimmers had to double up in a lane and Life guards were present. Yesterday two lanes were blocked off so half a dozen or so seniors could do supervised aqua yoga. I thought all these “non lap” swimming people in the “Lap Pool” which has “lap swimming lane” signs could have used the kids pool, heated pool or even the 25m pool? Is this allowed? If not then enforce the rules. If so then that’s ridiculous. Yesterday as the few lanes left were doubled up so we had to turn away.

Fantastic experience: Staff are so kind and extremely helpful. Rackley are privileged to have such a strong committed team. Joshua always responded to feedback with positive professional comments and action to improve outcomes for swimmers especially when renovating challenging conditions for change rooms. Sam is also extremely professional and committed. Water in the pool is maintained. Thanks so much Joshua and Sam.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic swimming centre and they are undergoing renovations of the changing rooms so they are nice and fresh, they literally had the Male changing rooms completed within 2 weeks which is in record time with minimal disruption , the staff are amazing and unfortunately have had to put up with complaints from people unhappy their lives are disrupted by the renovations which is silly considering they have to be closed to be renovated.

Negative experience: Customer service needs work. I was told today that I wasn't standing in the correct spot to be served. If you are so particular, you might need to add a 'x' marks the spot on the ground where you want customers to stand or close the other windows at reception if you don't want people to stand there.

Fantastic experience: Great! Inside pool was really really warm. Just lovely.

Positive experience: Great facilities in a lovely setting. Makes you feel like you're on holiday, even when you live here. The swim club tends to monopolize most of the lanes from 4-6pm, which makes it hard to get a swim in after work for the general public. Cafe is a bit pricey.

Fantastic experience: Staff wonderful an very dedicated. Staff behond nice.... Clean bathrooms/showers.. All 5 pools well maintained an clean... Great coffee... Great prices for entry ..food..etc

Fantastic experience: Okay...I'm totally late posting this review. But here it is.... Matt,I didn't get a last name was AMAZING with our kids. Played and entertained our children (2 separate occasions)that they couldn't stop talking about him & the fun they had. They had the inflatable's just before Christmas & had a blast. Matt timed the kids for the best times over the obstacles,and made it entertaining and fun, commentating, and was lots of giggles. Wore the children out that they slept straight after dinner. Thanks again Matt

Fantastic experience: Love our local pool! As well as being great for laps, it is also fantastic for families with a shaded little toddler pool/slide and another shallow pool for younger kids to practice swimming. The kids enjoy a ice cream and the coffee is very good.

Positive experience: I like the Caloundra Aquatic Centre however the indoor pool was taken over by parents and kids (3 sets of families), no respect just kept getting in everyone's way. A couple who had a tiny baby came into the pool directly infront of me and another lady (who were walking the pool) and continue to potter there, they didn't care at all. I have mentioned this to reception and they were very helpful and told me to report it if it happens again. Parents and kids have a roped off area in the indoor section, which they weren't using and there are also quite a number of small pools that could be used, there is no need for them to be using the indoor pool section that is supposed to be for therapy.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE!!! Worst experience I’ve ever had in public service. Rude. Discriminatory. Have been there all my life, from primary school swimming carnivals to now having kids of my own and will never take them back there. The new owner needs a new job and attitude adjustment. Disgusted.

Fantastic experience: Caloundra aquatic and lifestyle centre is pretty sweet, I love the heated pool and the skate park, but there is also a ton if cold pools and a gym, the staff are pretty nice but don't splash in the heated pool or the old people will give you dirty looks.. I would highly recommend going swimming here and checking out the skate park if your into that as well, it's like a big bowl with some steep vertical sections and other smaller sections if your not that crazy.. it's one of my favourite places to go when I need to unwind after work..

Fantastic experience: Great facilities with a toddler pool, indoor, 25m and 5om pools. Gym, skate park and a kiosk. They do a week end family pass which is great value and a new two week pass for the holidays which is great for the kids.

Positive experience: kids enjoyed the pools and skate park. A little annoying that most of the pool space was being used by private fitness groups when we arrived. No diving or jumping in the pool allowed not even from the diving boards.

Fantastic experience: Perfect for those windy days where the beach isn't an option. Staff and facilities are brilliant. Even do a really yummy coffee (which is an awesome surprise). Octopus Pool is great for little ones. Bigger pools are great for more confident littlies. We LOVE this place!

Fantastic experience: Great park, plenty of variety for all ages. Kids, teens and adults. From small drop ins to inverted ramps the caloundra skatepark is suited to all. On school holidays they typically open up the gates for free, although throughout the year its a $5.50 entry fee which is justified. I believe they have longer period passes as well. On weekends its quite before 10am, at 12 its getting busier and afternoons are typically busy. Id suggest going early or morning if you're inexperienced or looking for space.

Fantastic experience: A very nice peaceful place to kick back and relax or take a quick dip in crystal clear pools. The staff are extremely friendly and are always available. I would recommend this place anytime for leisure or just for overall pleasure.

Fantastic experience: Nice local community pool with polite, friendly and helpful staff. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her swimming classes and the play areas. They also have a lil tuck shop on site if you need a caffeine or sugar fix. There are 4 different pool setups for varying levels as well as a skate park and gym.

Fantastic experience: We've been taking our son to classes since he was 3 months old. 2 to 6 months are free, why wouldnt you!? He is almost 12 months old and his development has amazed us. The teaches are really great and fantastic with kids and parents. The classes have a really good structure in place and you can see the development in the children week by week. I strongly recommend giving it a go, i promise it will put a smile on your face.
