Derrimut 24:7 Gym - Melton

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Slowly deteriorating as a gym. Roof leaking repairs so impressively slow that I doubt they’ll ever be done. Equipment always out of order and now Derrimut 24/7, is not 24/7? New business hours have it closed early morning on weekends and at night always. There’s always so many staff members sitting around talking to each other out the front so it can’t be a staffing issue. It’s a very cheap membership but now it’s becoming a cheap experience too. Issues need to be fixed with a transparent timeframe to your customers or even with your discounted pricing, people won’t tolerate it forever

Negative experience: Paid $20 for a day pass , weights were everywhere all over the floors , place was filthy , mirrors were smashed , a whole portion of the gym was closed off , staff were rude , biggest waste of money , will not be coming back

Negative experience: Kindly find the photo attached below. I posted my review three weeks ago, and unfortunately, the condition remains unchanged. Could you please address this as soon as possible? If the situation persists, I will consider sharing additional photos of the machines, which have been in the same state for the past four months (approximately 120 days)—ample time to arrange for repairs.

Positive experience: Totally rate this gym. Definitely one of my, no wait, it is my favourite Derrimut gym to go to before work! Lots of parking nearby. Reassuring to know an ambulance branch is across the road (heaven forbid!) The staff at the front desk warmly greet members upon entry. Neat & tidy display of merch. Equipment on the ground floor is mostly in good nick and clean. Love that there are lots of paper towels and spray available (I'm a bit of a clean freak, haha). Upstairs is solid, too. Heaps of equipment and space (I do go early hours, though, so unsure how busy it is during peak times). Also, for obvious reasons, I can't comment on the women's area - but it's great that there is one there! What else? Oh yeah, there's a nice functional training space upstairs - live that! And for the heavy lifters, there is the "big boys" weights area in the back upstairs (again another area I'm not too familiar with, haha). My only gripe, and it's not a biggie, is the fairly overplayed doof doof gym music that's blasting more often than not. Don't forget your earbuds cause if you're a neurodivergent like myself, it's distracting af to train to that noise... *sigh* Oh yeah, change room facilities are pretty good, too! But it's only upstairs as far as I'm aware. And there's a couple of microwaves downstairs and a place to eat pre/post workout if you're the dine-in type. Hope this review helps!

Negative experience: I have used this gym for about 7 years. And I am at the point where I just about dread going in there now. Roof leaks have reduced the area available and also created multiple trip hazards with the rubber mats lifting up due to moisture. Equipment is not maintained, with a lot of machines out of order and the squat racks/deadlift platforms upstairs, all coming apart and on funky angles from the mirror. I have cut myself on a a sharp edge of the squat rack, when I notified staff I was told “I’m sorry, but management probably won’t do anything about it”. There’s too many people using this gym after all the specials on membership. Weights are left all over the place and rarely put back where they belong. I do think there aren’t enough weight plates in this gym which doesn’t help. A lot of gym goers have a no respect for the facility & other gym members these days! The staff are all young & are not doing anything to educate gym goers on housekeeping/gym etiquette or pulling people up for incorrect use of equipment causing damage. Majority of the time there are multiple staff working, the general staff mostly hang around at front counter talking to each other when 1 could be going through the gym putting things back and performing basic maintenance (i have only seen 1 staff member doing this, in the early mornings) 1 cleaner is thorough but the other cleaners are half assed, men’s toilet is always a disgrace. 5 years ago none of these issues were going on here. It’s shame because I don’t want to find another gym to go to.

Positive experience: I like this gym a lot- although equipment being broken or not re-racked is starting to irritate me. I think it is a tad too busy atm as well.

I enjoy coming here 6 days a week amd the staff on the front desk are always friendly and welcoming. Yes some things need fixing or repaired but I have seen that it will get actioned just takes some time. All in all its a great gym and I have recommended and referred 8 people already and all think the same.

Negative experience: Broken hand dryer in mens toilet since two months. No paper towels to wipe hands. Top floor Roof is leaking, mirrors are broken since 2 months, some machine are making noises wd40 can solve the problem. Bathrooms are not clean.

Positive experience: This is a pretty decent sized facility with lots of equipment. There's 2 levels with upstairs showcasing group fitness rooms + more weightlifting & cardio goodies. I came to take part in a group class & it was easy to find upstairs. Service is welcoming, ambience is inviting with spacious & openness. $20 for casual pass. I enjoyed meeting new people in the class, and the workout felt more like a night out on the town, which is a win. I will definitely be back! There's plenty of parking to be had on the street. If you need a landmark, the gym is right next to Melton's beautiful & well renowned Library.

Fantastic experience: Just joined this gym recently and is the best gym I have ever been to !! I am enjoying my training so much here with so much equipment and it has everything . The gym is huge , clean and what a variety of equipment !! Great atmosphere and great gym . Loving it

Positive experience: Cleaner amenities and overall outlook needing some scope, a dirty derrimut seeming to be neglected. I dont mind paying $15-$25 a week if this home gym is uplifted.

Negative experience: Genuinely disappointed, I’ve been coming here as loyal customer for almost 5 years, there’s been a few layout changes but the equipment is so poor. There are so many equipment that are probably not up to AS standards and can cause serious injuries. There are also two other major issues one with water leaks and buckets everywhere when it rains and the next is the mirrors are never clean when people want to see themselves working out. I’m not surprised I mean everything in melton is pretty neglected but you’d think a gym should have decent maintenance.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, has a decent amount of equipment and is 24 hours staffed! Has an downstairs area and an upstairs area! Has a boxing ring and heaps of boxing bags too! Toilets are upstairs and so are the water drinking fountains. Parking can be a little hard during peak times but that's the only bad part.

Negative experience: This place is definitely a rip off. Joined the gym for 6$ per week on special and paid the establishment fee 88$. I had plans to move to sydney so i cancelled. Came back again to join. Now the fee is 12$ per week which i am happy to pay but they are charging 88$ fee again. In other places its a one time ..its not supposed to be for every time we cancel the membership. AND it should have been mentioned when i cancelled if it was like that.

Negative experience: Probably the worst derrimut gym, they have variety of machines which they always do which is fine but holy cow, most of the cables are all uneven, 1 side is heavier than the other. Most of attachments for the cables look like it was from the salvation army. Dumbbells are all mixed up. And it’s kinda annoying how most of the latpulldowns and rows are downstairs.

Positive experience: Good variety of gym equipment, however there are leaks everywhere in the roof so when it’s raining the gym mats are soaked and at times reek. Bathrooms are clean and tidy. Meets the need. Always available equipment so you don’t have to stop your gym flow waiting. Some of the staff members are unprofessional and just talk to one another while you are waiting to be served.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best gym I’ve been to ever, first off the variety of equipment available for everyone, even when the gym is packed with people there is still room for someone to get a workout in, secondly, cleanliness, I’m used to gyms having terrible toilets with little to no care taken of it, unlike derrimut which is very well taken care of, also the staff are very interactive/approachable they’re always down for a chat when arriving or leaving, overall derrimut gym has the best overall experience and easily deserves a 5 star rating

Fantastic experience: Out of all the Derrimut gym locations I've been to so far, Melton Derrimut gym is the best. A supportive, clean and friendly environment, with lots of gym-goers willing to help and support each other. Special shoutout to their staff Jack, he not only help us feeling comfortable in the gym, he also helped us with replacing our punctured tyre. Can't thank you enough! you guys are the best!!!

Positive experience: Derrimut got to a point, was to crowded, after covid its a little bit better, equipped with everything many classes more than most gyms offer , casual visit too expensive $15 , and it hasn't had any gym offers in a long time, making it very expensive., always shop around.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym! They have enough equipments for a packed day and there are variety workout sessions in their timetable ! I like they also have separate space for women to work out - and their classes have zumba too at 5 PM on one of the weekday. I compared Genesis, Anytime Fitness( Melton south & Wier Views) and Jetts (Cobblebank) for me and Mrs. I felt this was the best choice. They also offer good deals, i took an annual subscription for 299 once and 399 the other time (50 bucks for processing) but still i felt was the bargain.

Positive experience: it just smells funny upstairs, roof is leaking, out of order equipment, Reception person doesn't know what communication skills are. He just wants you to go away and doesn't let you finish the sentence,let alone reply to you. Charging $15.00 for one visit and there is not even Sauna there like other Derrimut gyms have. The only positives I can mention is it's location and the fact that its a big gymIm not coming back there.

Negative experience: The upstairs area is absolutely disgusting with how hot it is. It's got to be atheist 42 degrees up there. I did 1 set and felt like i was going to throw up and pass out fron the heat alone. No air flow no air con. And the downstairs is freezing. Not only did they just renovate with out adding any thing extras Like the other gyms they have just renovated to have a pool, sauna rock climbing etc. But they don't even have basic air con. It's got to be dangerous against health and safety.

However, the only downside is that during the summer it gets so hot upstairs as there's no air con. Overall it's a great gym with affordable pricing.

Negative experience: The staff members was not friendly I felt lost using the gym due to nobody ever showed me around and I don't know where the emergency are exits .The treadmill kept stopping while I'm running or walking which was annoying I thought was only that one treadmill but was two. I don't even know where their sanitation areas were.
