Negative experience: The staff at Good Life is good, always helpful and friendly. However, it’s unbelievable how the Bundall unit has declined in quality over time. I’ve been to several Good Life locations, and unfortunately, this one stands out negatively for its lack of cleanliness, the bathrooms are frequently dirty, and the poor maintenance of equipment, which stays broken for days. Additionally, the overcrowded equipment makes workouts challenging and less productive. It’s a shame because this location has the largest space and infrastructure among the gyms in the network. With improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and space management, it could easily be the best. I hope these issues are addressed because the gym has so much potential.

Negative experience: Absolute disgrace of a company. This review is yet another example of how impossible it is to cancel a so-called NO CONTRACT MEMBERSHIP. A quick scroll reveals over 100 similar complaints. The Bundall location was the only decent facility I consistently attended 4–5 times a week for 18 months. Since moving to Brisbane, I’ve visited 5-10 different locations for a total of fewer than 20 times in 2024 because the locations here are old, filthy, and outdated. I never complained, just kept paying my membership—but the moment I try to cancel, they resort to extortion, squeezing out every last dollar they can. Scum with zero business ethics.

Negative experience: Came in to have a tour and look around before I move interstate in Feb for a couple years, signed up for a trial here - as soon as I said I’m moving from interstate in Feb and wouldn’t start until then was asked to pay the $25 casual fee before even having a go. Wouldn’t recommend, nice enough people (hence the star I’ve given, the two staff I spoke to were quite friendly) but the facility was not at all welcoming asking someone to fork out within minutes of arriving. If I’m going to give someone probably $2K a year to use their facilities I’d like to know their machines work, the people aren’t judgemental and the place is welcoming. It was also horrendously busy at 9-10am, and I left half way through my workout as I kept waiting for machines and gave up after 45 mins.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the Body Balance group training with Karen! She is an exceptional instructor—professional, inspiring, and clearly passionate about her work. The class is designed beautifully, combining elements of Pilates, yoga, and meditation for a holistic and rejuvenating experience. Karen's guidance makes every session enjoyable and effective. I highly recommend trying it out on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm—you won't regret it!

Negative experience: Don’t sign up to this gym, save yourself the headache. If you decide you want to cancel your membership I’d recommend sending that as an EMAIL so you have a RECORD of it. Do not have any important discussions with these people over the phone. They will simply lie about what was discussed over the phone so that they can steal as much money from you as possible.

Negative experience: Worst experience I have ever had with a gym. Their customer service is non-existent and they make it absolutely impossible to cancel your membership with them even if you choose a NO LOCK-IN contract like I did. They have continued to steal my money after I cancelled with them months ago. When I call to try and resolve the issue I am either hung up on mid conversation or told I will get a call back that never comes. Save your time, money and energy and sign up ANYWHERE ELSE.

Negative experience: The equipments are plenty, 24 hours access and in a great location supported by Guzman next door. Gets busy in Busier hours of the day but you can always manage to get something done. So its great in that regards. However Cleanliness has been going absolutely downhill. Forget the equipments being cleaned once in a while, I find the bare necesseties Clean, very-very less often. Thought it was because I went in the evenings so ofcourse it gets dirty through out the day for being a Gym. But Early morning was no different. Floor/bathroom sink/ and high traffic areas are cumulatively getting crappier by the day. The water fountain has buildup on the base, hate if I forget water from home. The place is dusty so very easy to catch allergy. There is dust pretty much everywhere. I am not talking nooks and crannies, The general state of bathrooms and carpeted floor is very dusty. Absolute appalling cleanliness specially for such a high end establishment charging $21 per week. Ofcourse one member less would not be a problem for this establishment however if this continues- other members may begin to choose the path I am thinking of choosing. Get done with the contract and move on to somewhere different for much better price. Again, May I remind $21 per week for this establishment is over priced for the lack of sanitation which is turning into Hazard.

Negative experience: Customer service sucks, not happy with staff when they don’t show understanding with money hardship issues, they don’t sympathize with people that struggle with stress and forget to attend the class because class reminder didn’t arrive night before. Sarah you truly need to get done training in kindness, being my husbands carer and having to leave full time job to look after him has put me in huge financial struggle. You don’t care about us as customers or humans only care about the money. Sad, very sad. Don’t bother writing back and apologizing, and not doing anything about it. I was debt collector at ATO and never treated customers like you do. Suggesting I cannot cancel my membership due to hardship unless I go bankrupt. Wow. I am not sure how you still have your job after so many bad reviews especially about you. Gym and Pilates staff are great but admin is crap. Yes I should remember my class but I am stressed at the moment so thank you for your understanding. NOT Thank you

Negative experience: I have been member to Bundall gym since 2021 some times I’m not using gym for months and still paying! The thing really pissed me off that they charging $10 extra each month for some stupid training session ! And they never reach out to you to ask if you do need training coz you paying for it they just want your money for free ! I didn’t know what they charging for until today when I went to ask they accepting me to know that somehow!

Fantastic experience: This morning I had the pleasure of meeting with Amy at Goodlife Bundall for an introductory session as I considered signing up. From the start, Amy was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience enjoyable. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge, particularly when addressing the detailed questions I had, and she made everything—from payment scheduling to membership options—flexible and straightforward. Negative experience: I started going to this gym just recently and told them to deducted my payment at a certain date. But other bills was taken out of my account leaving me with insufficient fund to be withdrawn. So far I was charged $40 of late payment fees less less than 3 months. after few hours of them trying to withdrawaling the money and been unsuccessful they answer was I should read the term and conditions. Charging me $10 late fees for a day late specially that I had to spend over an hour try to get them on the phone to get the payment through. I never had a gym so quick to steal money from customers. I'm just waiting for my membership to finish. I won't be back to these money hungry and unhelpful thieves. Specialy stealing or what they call it " following they term and conditions" from a disability pensioner. I wouldn't recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Toilets overflowing with sewerage.Bathrooms smell. Every 2nd person doesn't have a towel for equipment. I asked a PT about people not using towels. He said they can't enforce it. You can, you choose not too. Enough equipment to get a workout done even when busy.

Negative experience: Not good, you need to train your staff on interacting with potential customers. Staff held my ID hostage and made me feel like a criminal when I asked about a free trial. Came in with a member to do a class and try it out (I’ve been here a few days and wanted to try a few options before signing up) but the manager with the red hair did not care at all, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. If you don’t have a free trial that’s fine but don’t make me feel uncomfortable for just asking. Also it’s interesting only Bundall club doesn’t honour the good life free trial.

Negative experience: Had a great experience with Goodlife until I cancelled my membership. The level of disrespect from Sarah was appalling. I would avoid signing a lock-in membership unless you know nothing will ever happen in your life, that will require you to cancel. Horrific service, rude cancellation staff - take your money somewhere else. They don't care about people; they only care about money. I was quoted $195 one day, then $270 the next, to cancel. I paid to be rid of your horrid staff ever calling me again.

Negative experience: Bought a day pass with a friend today even when having a tripod in hand and WAS NOT TOLD ONCE THAT NON MEMBERS CANNOT FILM. This should have been stated before paying $20 each. I totally understand rules but this was not stated once before paying, if we had known we would have left instantly. DO BETTER GOODLIFE BUNDALL. If I recommend a gym it would be all EMF gyms on the gold coast. After being told we cannot film with a tripod we put it away after being stared at the whole time until it was in our bag. Then having another staff member ask if we were still filming when we were not. Staff were rude. Absolutely do not recommend.

Negative experience: Absolutely disappointing. I don't even know where to begin. The place is dirty. The sauna is a bacterial sweat box. It's beyond disgusting. The gym equipment is falling apart, sometimes out of order for weeks. Paying a decent amount in membership fees to be faced with this is beyond a joke. The place needs an overhaul asap. The dust is everywhere, the weights are scattered across the gym and staff do Not Care. I also don't appreciate and many members alike, do not like the fact you allow Cameras and Tripods. For many reasons. Firstly, safety should be paramount these are trip hazards. Secondly, the privacy of EVERY gym member should be taken seriously. Thirdly, your gym policy Outlines " STRICKLY NO PHOTO OR VIDEO FOOTAGE TO BE TAKEN IN THIS FACILITY". Even on a few occasions witnessing staff chatting to these people casually. Some people may be on protection orders and DVOs. I'm embarrassed to be a member.

Negative experience: Really disappoint to discover the 2 week complimentary suspension offered to me in a time of need, then to use against me by extending my contract for an extra 2 weeks without my knowledge. I have attempted to communicate nicely over email and phone. Customer service has been really unhelpful and rude. Wouldn’t recommend signing up with Goodlife.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Caleb from Leppan Physiques at Bundall for 3 months now and it’s the best investment I’ve ever made. Tbh in the first 2 weeks I learnt more than I have in the previous 10 years in and out of gyms and trying different PTs. First time I’ve had someone genuinely care about helping me become healthier and HAPPIER. The results have been amazing and I plan to keep training with Caleb.

Negative experience: After 3+ years of membership I needed to move countries unexpectedly and so I had to start the cancellation process. The fact that you have to to do it through your home club made it more tedious. And there is a 30 days cancellation policy that does not make any sense. This will mean I will be paying for a month even if I am not in the country anymore. If I ever come back I will choose a different gym for sure. Nonsense

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, I absolutely love it here. Really good environment, people often let you in on sets with them so it makes it super convenient to use the machines or benches needed at the busier times, that’s normal during peek hours. Staff are super friendly, I signed up with Charli, she is pretty funny and made it pretty straight forward for me. Sometimes it gets a little busy and the staff can’t get to me straight away but I get it, I’ve worked in a busy place before so I can’t blame them. Amy is always super helpful if I have any issues with anything, I’ve had an issue with a payment and she has been right on it ! PTs are great, I’ve trained with caleb who focuses mainly on body building and am currently training Muay Thai with james, he is an absolute pleasure to train with. Would recommend getting a platinum membership so you can go to any goodlife, if you travel it’s super convenient and if u wanna switch up where u train it’s good aswell, I travel a bit for work sometimes so it’s pretty convenient for me :)

Negative experience: Look, this gym and its facilities are actually on the nicer end and for the most part, well maintained. The reason for my low review is the nonsense rule about having to wear shoes at all times. Now I understand wearing shoes while resting and walking around the gym. But when I train legs. During the period of my set, I need the stability of my foot to the floor. I can give multiple reasons as to why this is important. However when I ask the reason as to why this rule is in place. They says Its just management policy. And when I ask why is this not the same at all goodlife gyms. They say that it is when the reality is that it's not. Now there was situation where I was doing dead lifts and was attempting a heavy Lift.. While I was resting, Two the gym staff stood near by and waited for me to start my set. I waited to see if they would just simply leave and when I realised they weren't going too. I decided to attempt my set with my shoes on. Bad choice as I almost fell forward when attempting to do this. So I kicked off my shoes and instead of resetting, I went straight into the lift. While doing so I felt two of my disk pop in my back. Most likely because I did not reset my positioning which takes a good 30 to 60 seconds to do. - Instantly after, Those two staff came over to tell me off. Why don't they put this much effort for people who don't put there weights away or who leave weights piled on the floor? You're seriously going to stand there and tell someone off for lifting without shoes... Unbelievable.. I also recorded my set and can hear the female staff member laughing at me once I kicked my shoes off... Amazing work guys.. Yous deserve a medal for this one.. My work around this is that I won't be coming back here to train legs and do not recommend anyone who trains with proper stability and technique to train legs here either. This review does not reflect on all good life gyms as there are many who do not enforce this rediculas rule. And if it was not for the way the staff acted like police. My review would be very different as the nice things about this gym are lost due to this incident.

Negative experience: False Advertising!!! On Goodlife's social media platform and their website, they advertise a free trial to try any of their gyms. I went to Bundall Goodlife and they said that they had to hold my ID for my workout and that I could only get a free pass if I intended to join at the end and only then they would give my ID back to me. Once, I said I didn't intend to join today they were rude to me and walked away without even ending the conversation first and said to just pay to get in.

Negative experience: PATHETIC SERVICE!!!I went into Bundall personally over 2 months ago to cancel my membership and was told I would have to pay one month's cancellation. No problem. Except that they did not tell their debit order company about it (no surprise there) and continued to debit my account after the month was up. When I called Bundall I was put through to a rude and curt woman who had the audacity to tell me she has no record of it and was doing me a favour by backdating the stolen fees and would reimburse me. We'll see if that ever happens.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever.No effective systems in place. Tried cancelling membership for 6 months, yet kept charging credit card. Every time you phone you get someone different who then tells you that your membership is “on hold” not cancelled, and that you have to pay for another month. Their business model is to rip people off. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Fantastic experience: I love the vibe at Goodlife Bundall. Most importantly the results are showing. My reformer pilates on a Sunday morning is my church. It is where I feel my week is re-set or the week ends on a high. not going on a Sunday is like losing your keys. When you find it you feel better. Negative experience: The billing and pay cycles are messed up, it says they will charge you one day in the contracts and emails and they charge on a completely different day, they will also try to charge you 5 times in the first 2 weeks, not sure how this works but there are 5 transactions to them in my history and I joined on the 22nd of last month. Would not recommend

Fantastic experience: I've had a very positive experience at Goodlife Bundall. Great Sunday spin class from Mark and Jackie very attentive at Reformer Pilates. I've also enjoyed Mat Pilates and Barbell. The equipment is in good condition and there is plenty of it. There is also plenty of parking and it's free, a huge plus. I work at a gym, but I generally work out at Goodlife Bundall.

Negative experience: I am sorry to say that 1 start for the approach at the front desk, i am aware of policy and procedures this could at the sign up at the start and not a year later. I asked to be done later they said no only will take 2 minutes, i was not in the mood for my photo be taken just added to my day was not a good day i didn’t want anyone to stop me at the entrance, of the gym for this all i wanted is to go through as per normal and not be bothered for a bit and have a nice workout, turned out i left no workout done and in a bad mood. Not happy at all.

Positive experience: Quite a large Goodlife. Plenty of parking right out front/underneath. Went at 0530 and the place was packed. Plenty of equipment though just short on floor space for stretching etc.

Very rude and unprofessional. Have trained here once previously on a trial and equipment is garbage, don’t waste your money

Negative experience: Accused of attempting to bring members in outside of staffed hours (had no idea it wasn’t staffed, could see staff inside) and threatened with a $100 fine unless friend signed up. 4-5 staff members inside - wouldn’t sign us in - clearly staffed. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Goodlife Bundall for nearly 4 years with my husband. We get a lot of benefit from it. Especially the reform Pilates. The teachers in reform Pilates are very helpful and they do a great job in guiding you to do it correctly. When you come out you feel good and your body doesn’t hurt you just feel fitter. We do it 3 times a week and the other 2 days do the treadmill, elliptical and weights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I’ve never been able to stick in a gym for long periods as it gets boring but being at Goodlife at Bundall is great. I give it 5 stars. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: Terrible gym. Worse by far on the northern side of the Gold Coast. Staff are very rude. I noticed the staff member Amy was laughing at overweight members, she lacks empathy and a genuine, normal personality. I hope she does better in the future with maintaining her ego.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and efficient staff. Well equipped. Parking aplenty. I enjoy the classes too. I would highly recommend new comers to check it out for themselves. Negative experience: Dirty gym. Sweat, pubes and dust under the weights, high up on machines and corners of the gym being dusty. Toilets have urine splashed and stained all over the walls. Car park full of rubbish. Sweat dripping down machines. Coming here at peak time you'll never get a machine. It has most of the equipment needed but limited amounts. Huge gym with only one v handle and one set of 6kg dumbbells. Machines take ages to get fixed. And some mirrors would be nice so you're not looking at a brick wall. It's nice to be able to watch yourself and work on your form. Peak hours get busy. Like real busy. You have to hover around the cable machines like a hawk if you want to use them during peak hour. Some days you're dreaming if you want to use a bench. Tripods can be spotted every now and then so if you don't want to end up on tiktok in the background you might have to avoid certain areas As for the contracts I suggest to read carefully. Can be hell getting out of them. Ask questions and keep a copy for yourself. It is nice to be able to bring a friend for free every Friday Saturday or Sunday, though they will get spammed with marketing messages.

Negative experience: Horrible experience at Goodlife Bundall. I was extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism demonstrated by both the staff on the front desk and the management of the club from signing up to cancelling. Furthermore, I received a call from them (I didn't have the number saved), and when I answered, the person on the other end asked if I was dead! This type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend Goodlife Bundall, it’s the worst gym I’ve ever been to.

Negative experience: This gym does not have good exercise equipment. The terms of contracts are not specific and once you join the gym they change the conditions. You are lucky to be able to cancel the contract and they charge a very high cancellation fee.

Negative experience: This gym does not adhere to their printed terms and conditions. Advertising that members aged 14 can train until 7:00pm, my daughter was denied entry at 6:30pm and she was left feeling humiliated in front of other patrons. There are previous testimonials from other patrons about similar occurrences and their reviews and low ratings are no surprise now. I wished I’d checked them prior to taking her there.

Negative experience: Poor customer service staff- Scott. I visited goodlife Bundall to ask a representative about membership plans, what the gym had to offer and gain a feel for the atmosphere. I was looking for friendliness in their staff and a welcoming environment. What I received from Scott was a psychological interrogation and what felt like judgement surrounding my intentions of joining the gym. Even saying “why are you here” after I’d already explained why I want to join. There was no sense of friendliness at all, even going as far as saying that it is not the job of staff to to assist with questions about the machines, that is a service offered by personal trainers at an additional cost. I will not be joining, and discourage anyone looking from doing so too. There are plenty of other gyms close by with much better attitudes ✌

Negative experience: Poor customer service from front desk staff: Took a visiting family member to gym today, and the staff at the front said it’s only allowed for Friday-Sunday. I mentioned it’s not what I signed up for, the ladies at the front showed no initiative to even let me speak to the people who do the signups. Staff very unwilling to help or go the extra step to help the situation, and here I am standing with a visitor to Australia. Update: I called to speak to Scott who signed me up, he returned my call, and was helpful enough to make some suggestions to me. He really did make a concerted effort to assist.

Negative experience: Hello to everyone going to Good Life gym in Gold Coast Bundall, my son used to go there too and then he wanted to change gyms so we gave 4 weeks notice to Good Life and that should’ve bred it, but no, they still taking out money from my credit card, I saw so many complaints about the same thing and I said to my self I hope this won’t happen to me, but it did, they are a money hungry institution who steel other peoples money, please guys be careful, go somewhere else, don’t bother with good life they are greedy, ok thank you for reading
