Fantastic experience: WOW! AS IF YOU AREN’T COMING HERE!! Hands down best gym around. Good quality equipment and the gym is always clean. Most importantly the staff here are beyond welcoming!! Huge shout out to Lucia, George, Tahlya and Hayley. Truely a great team that knows how to encourage you to come to the gym!

Positive experience: All these comments saying they are only after money... it's $10 a week, that's cheaper than any gym anywhere and it's also a business! Been going here two years and whilst a lot of gym goers are inconsiderate by stacking weights incorrectly and never wiping down after (a sweaty gym towel isn't an excuse not to) - it's pretty good.

Negative experience: Money hungry company.

Negative experience: An organisation that doesn't live up to its values of : Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Philip Lynem increased PT rent without a new agreement, happy to hold onto your bond to make a profit also. charge staff and customers with a new parking fee until backlash from customers. The primary service of the YMCA is to make a profit. Definitely no Honesty and Responsibility applied. Do not use there service.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Manager changed their mind about a charge that was meant to be free (they had it originally written in an email that join-in is free). 3 weeks later they decided to break that promise. Lame and lack of accountability

Negative experience: Two stars for good location and not too expensive memberships. The community on the other end: really awful. People leaving weights everywhere, not putting them back, leaving empty coffee cups, hoarding machines.... yuk. Awful awful awful.

Positive experience: Great location, friendly staff, good variety of equipment, clean and organized, with a good schedule of different classes. Grace's Yoga classes stand out, and Bree and Loraine's Pilates classes are also great.

Positive experience: Is either 24 hour access, or Is wheelchair accessible, not both, There is no ramp, and lifts are turned off sometime between 8pm and 11pm, I don't know what time they are turned on, I'm guessing between 6am and 8am I have not seen any signs that mention this to prospective clients

Negative experience: Horrible gym. Mostly a gym for old people. Got told off by a PT for making too much noise while deadlifting but saw him doing the exact same thing the next day. Equipment sucks. If you’re serious about bodybuilding. Go to another gym

Negative experience: My daughter has been attending gymnastic classes, I have watched several classes and in each one I see her and the rest of her group standing around for most of the hour. I spoke to one of the girls at the reception regarding my concerns she said she would pass it on. (Of course to no avail) My daughter asked if she could attend one of the competitions YMCA was offering - I agreed and we paid the extra money. I spent 3-4 hours on a Saturday watching this competition - time a single parent family can’t spare - watching my daughter for a total of 20 mins - the rest of the time she was standing around. Very frustrating. As a whole - the YMCA Bowen Hills is understaffed and inexperienced - I do not recommend you spending your hard earned money on this centre nor wasting your child’s time and abilities.

Positive experience: The adult gymnastics classes are great for those who mostly know what they want to do as the classes are not structured, which works well for me. The coaches are very helpful if you ask for assistance in working on a particular skill/s. No need to be scared if you're a first timer, the coaches are very friendly. Facilities are very good!

Positive experience: Went for adult gymnastics. Facilities were spacious and had recently been updated. The floor in the new side is much better for tumbling than the old one in the other side.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for 2 1/2 years. Great facility. Staff members are always nice and friendly. Equipment is up to date and always clean. Gym is not busy like a lot of the cbd gym, always able to use/find the machines I need to complete my workout. Offers heaps of classes including boxing, hit, body pump and spinning.

Negative experience: Bad service, terrible communication, terrible experience with the customer service and the manager (Philip)is so rude. Not recommended, they show you one face before you sign up and other face after. the support I received as a member of the gym has been terrible.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out in this gym since 2017 and i must say the staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym has all the equipments, plenty of weights and cardio equipments. The changing rooms are clean and there are lots of lockers available. The facility has a lot of parking available. There is a 24x7 access to the gym which helped me to maintain my fitness even when i have a tight schedule. Overall 5/5❤️
