Negative experience: They are well aware of the air conditioner issue however don’t seem to want to fix it. Fans don’t solve this issue btw it just circulates the hot sweaty smell. The gym smells extremely bad especially in the green grass areas. The treadmills are almost always broken. You guys have so much competition around. I find it absolutely abysmal that you wouldn’t want to protect your investment and gym image instead of choosing to be stingy over things the gym actually needs.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say how amazing Kai's customer service was on the phone! I'm honestly so grateful how much he went above and beyond to help me on my fitness journey! He took the time to listen to me on the phone when I was yapping on about myself and then helped me get such a good deal which now means I'll be able to be a pilates princess and continue my weightloss journey He absolutely made my day and he's such an amazing asset to have working there

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym 1 year back. I was reluctant to pay 3 times of what I paid previously in other gym. Jemma did really explain me the flexibility of goodlife locations and scalability of equipments and convinced me to buy the membership. 1 year later, after losing 5 times of what I previously did I realized the worth. Jemma who was once a sales person, actually turned out to be one of the angels in disguise in my weight loss journey besides so many. Grateful to her and her extended Goodlife.

Negative experience: Equipment is old and broken. Air-conditioning didn’t work for 6 months. Supposedly fixed now and still no airflow. Raised the issue again and was told to go train at Mt Gravatt since I’m a member there. I pay for a membership that lets me go to any Goodlife. Will now be cancelling membership. Your staff are rude.

Negative experience: I signed up 7 months ago and reception sold me all the good promises and saying good things about this gym. 2-3 months after I signed up the aircon stopped working and it’s been few months since that happened but no one cared about the aircon and they haven’t fixed it. I don’t like giving bad review but since they charging everyone $19 a week , they need to give a better service and clean the bathroom better

Negative experience: Willing to revise this review at a later date if action is taken. For 2-3 years now, head office has been very aware that the airconditioning system at this gym is not functioning properly, worsening each summer to the point where this summer it appears to have stopped functioning at all. We now drive further to a different location. There have been a wide range of lies given by Goodlife about “solutions” while the issue has been present, the only clear truth is that Goodlife head office does not care at all about its customers.

Negative experience: I find that not all staff treat you with the respect you deserve. I just finished a class, and waited for a while to get served and when I finally did, there was no apology. Like “Im sorry for keeping you waiting…..” After letting her know how disappointed I was with her lack of care and consideration, it was like she couldn’t care less. You know if you’re going employ people at this gym you really need to train them in customer service etiquette.

Positive experience: Great gym! Lots of space and good range of equipment. Generally not too busy; though I do avoid the peak times. Good value depending on what contract you're on. I love GoodLife gyms and out of the 6 locations I've visited so far, Springwood and Browns Plains are my favourites. They're not perfect (e.g. took months of requests to fill the sanitiser) but I can look past the small downfalls; overall I recommend it.

Negative experience: The equipment is so old and dated, I travel to Richlands (which is only a little better) I’m so disappointed, Goodlife you’ve let me down and let’s not forget the hit and Miss days for the steam room!!! What is the point of advertising something that’s so unreliable!!!! Forget about using it on the weekend it’s never on! I hate coming here because I never know if the equipment is working properly or if it’s out of order. If you live close to Springwood maybe try loaganholm or Browns plains but honestly they are not much better.

Negative experience: This gym used to be okay and I never had any complaints, but I went there after hours today and left straight after. It was disgustingly hot and stuffy and really stinky too due to the lack of airflow. There’s also a really strange light outside of the building that faces the building and inconveniently shines through the window into your eyes on some machines. Would not recommend wasting your time with this goodlife. Try another location.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member for a long time but have noticed the last couple months this place has really gone down hill. Drinks fridge always empty, toilets are filthy, soap dispensers in the shower empty and broken. Showers don’t get cleaned. There has been a bandaid stuck in one of the showers for months now. Also showers are mouldy. Steam room doesn’t get cleaned thoroughly. Have also seen someone in the change room jab themselves then put the used needle down on the bench where everyone sits and puts their stuff down. Whoever is managing this place right now is failing at it.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I relocated, and there are no Fitness First anymore in Queensland. I just don't understand how you can tell customers that you offered many facilities which are constantly broken. Especially the steam; it's not working every now and then. The hygienic can say it's zero, and the stinkiness can smell as soon as you enter. Even some machine areas couldn't breathe because of the strong stinkiness floating around also stayed on the machine. Obviously, there is no cleaner tidy or wiping down of the site. Besides, the treadmill machines are like after the war. Other locations have better treadmills. This isn't very comfortable being a member here. Your customers are essential. There are no quality standard services for this Goodlife brand unless in the top-end area.

Negative experience: I relocated to Sydney rather unexpectedly and suddenly soon after joining the goodlife gym. I called the gym twice and was reassured that my call would be returned, it wasn’t. I then tried the emailing system on the website and that was a bust too, no response. Eventually I did get though to talk to the manager, who then advised me that there are no goodlife gyms in Sydney and she could not transfer my membership to fitness first (which is there sister company, but not close enough apparently). She then advised me that I would need to pay upwards of $200 to cancel the membership or find someone else to take the membership. Who has the time, while In the process of moving states to go through the effort of transferring my membership or forking out $200. I was wanting to keep the membership. Disappointing that I’m paying for the fact Sydney doesn’t have a goodlife. Offer actual solutions or make this known to everyone so no one signs up to this gym with no warning or indication that moving to a state that does not have goodlifes is suddenly on the payers shoulders.

Negative experience: I came for 7days free trial but was charged not happy at all . Now having to keep calling to chase them up with my payments to be canceled. I was told I was a member when I didn’t even sign up to be a member was only thr for a trial , had my bank card and bank details asked by them when it was just a trial was pretty shocked I didn’t question it in the first place , but it ended up being a mess money taken out my card I wouldn’t even recommend it to any one I’ve had a horrible experience with them . I would advice anyone wanting to try out this gym never give your bank card or bank details they will take payments out just for a free trial I was disgusted.

Negative experience: So much about 24/7 gym but shut Arena area after certain time at night. At least put a sign there say this area close after 8pm? Also charge us members $10 every quarter for gym maintenance but never fixed roof leaking issues. Always take ages to fix broken gym equipment too.

Fantastic experience: I decided to have my work out closer to work and super impressed with the whole set-up. So big and there are so many machines, weights, classes and a fighting ring. Plus a steam room on top of this. No waiting for equipment and the bathroom is huge with plenty of room for all. Comparing this club to my local (West End) is chalk and cheese as Sringwood is hands down 10x better. I wish this was my local.

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for the last 8 months. Haven't had any issues. Classes are fantastic, especially the new reform pilates. Manager is there most of the time so if you have any problems - you can speak directly to him.

Negative experience: Staff have been pretty good, and the equipment is about average, however in over a month minor details were not being attended to, such as locker doors being left without repair for several weeks. The low rating, however is because of the management, who have been the most heartless people I've ever dealt with. After less than a month of my membership my situation changed drastically and I would no longer be able to use the facilities, the manager actually told me over the phone that it was her job to be heartless and cold, and that I would have to pay a cancellation fee which I cannot afford. Thankfully I got some help over the holidays which will all be going to this curse of a gym membership. In contrast, my personal experience from people at Anytime Fitness has been significantly more pleasant, and now that those facilities are opening across the street I would highly recommend you go there instead.

Negative experience: If you get a hold of Bec at the reception, she is very quick tempered and attempts to belittle you through her condescending tone. I have been a member of go health and then Goodlife when they signed over for 7 years and have never dealt with such a negative experience from reception. Through this tough time of Covid it is very detrimental for people to have a positive experience through a mental health outlet like physical activity. Debit success was very understanding through this time and helped with payments, where as Bec was very quick to jump into the stereotype of -if you don’t have the money then put your membership on hold - which for someone who uses the gym for mental health, is not a great impact. Respecting this tough time (two weeks in my case, waiting for 2nd vaccine to recommence work) helps members feel listened to and understood in one of our highest levels of mental health impacted pandemics. Contact debit success if you are wanting to understand any questions for payments or fees to have a respected and also very well explained answer without being condescended.

Fantastic experience: If you're in need for a great Personal Trainer, then I would highly recommend Jeremiah. I started training on/off at Goodlife Springwood when it was still GoHealth Club, now fast track to today. I renewed my membership sometime in March and started my PT sessions with Jeremiah as I was going to participate in the 2021 96km Kokoda Challenge. Jeremiah knew what I needed, and responded quickly when I noticed that some aspects of my overall performance needed major improvement. For example, I realised after a couple of hikes my strength was there but my overall endurance to complete a 30-40 km hike was not. Jeremiah took my feedback and adjusted our training sessions to suit this aspect. I made major improvements and was ready to take on the challenge ahead. Unfortunately on event day, I rolled my left ankle a couple of times which resulted in an ankle sprain and a tear in my Achilles. This resulted in my withdrawal at 37 kms. A few on and off training sessions with Jeremiah (who might I add was very understanding and comforting), and frequent Physio visits, I've unfortunately come to the decision of cancelling my PT sessions & my membership at Goodlife. Over the past couple of days my injury has taken the turn for the worst and has not shown improvements, mostly having to do with my workload as I work two jobs and are on my feet most of the times (Car sales by day and waiter/bartender at night) . You can't rush these things as I've learnt. Once I've healed and feel ready to get back into it, I look forward to working with Jeremiah again. Hopefully you're still around mate.

Negative experience: Used to be a good gym but has gone unbelievably downhill over the past year. Half the dumbbell rack is always missing no matter what time or day you go. I swear nobody puts their weights back anymore whether its 20kg or 2.5kg. Seriously, is it not basic gym etiquette to put your weights back? People that actually need equipment end up scrambling around the entire gym for 10 minutes trying to find the thing they’re after because people don’t have simple gym etiquette. There is definitely SEVERAL repeat offenders of this too. Even if the racks have dumbbells, none of them are ever in the right order. Why on earth is there a 12.5kg DB right next to a 25kg DB? Proper unbelievable that this is actually a constant issue. The floor at the free weights section has equipment all over the place because again, nobody, not even staff, put them back. This is the one gym I’ve yet to see staff rearranging or putting weights back on racks regularly. Poor effort considering its standard practice at other gyms I’ve been to for staff to put stuff back if its out of place. The temperature is never right either, whats the point in having fans or an AC system if they aren’t even working during peak hours where its unbelievably humid and can barely catch your breath? Its ridiculous how hot it gets, can’t imagine what it will be like when its constantly 30+ degrees in summer and the AC/fans still aren’t going. I’m more than certain others would agree with me that the original high standards and gym culture have just gone out the window. I have access to other Goodlife clubs but if this was the only club I had access to, I’d cancel my membership straight away and look elsewhere because literally any other gym is better than whatever this gym has become. Mates that I’ve brought to train here have never failed to comment how bad the culture and etiquette is in comparison to other gyms. I genuinely want to believe that this is still a decent place to train because I’ve been training here for almost 4 years, but its rare I have a good experience here anymore and its beyond disappointing.

Negative experience: I've been a loyal member to the Springwood gym but recently they "upgraded" The air conditioning that is resulting in very poor, next to no airflow during the times I visit the gym - quite busy at 8-9:30pm. I really hope they can make the necessary adjustments soon or they'll loose another family of loyal members.

Positive experience: It's really well equipped, but would love updated colour tv displays on the cardio equipment instead of very basic numbers only. The steam room looks super luxe and shiny new, and it's a huge gym, very well equipped.

Negative experience: Tall woman working the front desk today was extremely rude. Sassed me because I took my time reading which check-in scan to use (there are around 7), gave me all of 2 seconds to read it before she says 'it's the one that says check-in' in a tone of superiority and disdain. Apparently even with my file open we cannot get into the gym, needs to have the pass. This was very aggravating for her, poor thing must have to deal with stupid people every day, she certainly spoke that way.

Negative experience: This is a large gym with quite a lot of equipment. But that being said, almost every time I'm there.. I spend 20 minutes trying to find certain weights and sometimes have to wait for someone who's using a machine/squat rack/bench but he's just standing there for 15-20 minutes doing nothing. Staff sees this does nothing. Its very messy and I swear no one knows how to put weights back. The temperature is so bad and never ideal.. Is so hot at some times.. This Gym is not good at the moment but definitely has potential to be a great gym. I've been to other locations with goodlife and I've never seen how messy any gym was until I went to this one

Negative experience: Never make contract with goodlife health clubs. When I made contract, they didnt really mention about cancellation fee. But they didn't make any effort to reduce it. The receptionist said CS manager can reduce it but the the manager just kept saing No. We couldn't do that. Also, Because the cancellation takes ages to be done, I need to pay one more week. They have bad customer service. I am so disappointed. Also the facilities here are so bad.

Negative experience: So, I signed up my partner in Feb 2021 when they had promo to get a $1 off your weekly membership. Since Feb, I followed up with 6 different staff members about 10 times as I didn't get the $1 off. All of them would take my details but I will never get a call back. Finally, a fortnight ago I got to speak to a manager (not sure what her name is) and she tried to tell me that they didn't even have that promo going but she'll give me a $1 off from today. She could see that there were notes on my profile since July (we are at end of August at this point) but insisted she can only give me the discount from now and not since Feb when I signed up my partner. I said then I'd like to cancel my membership and she agred without any apology or shame about the pathetic customer service they have! (As per reply comment below, I have to contact GL because they don’t have my details to contact me and address my concerns? I rest my case!)

Negative experience: I would not recommend anyone, worst gym, poor customer service. As I told them before admission that I will move to other place and the guy on the counter said yes we have gym everywhere. But where I moved there is no gym. And they still charging me every week. And asking for more $245 to cancel. And that guy lied to me by saying that we have no cancellation fees. And also while admission he asked me for 20 other mobiles number to join. Others gyms are more better than goodlife. I am still paying for them and other gym every week as well.

Negative experience: Fitness passport members can’t sign in properly and the girls at the front are extremely rude, threw off my entire workout. Plus the place is always hot in summer or in winter, equipment is old and not well maintained. The worst gym I’ve ever been to.

Negative experience: Great gym equipment however gym is never at the right temperature control. It is always hot, winter and summer it makes it almost impossible to train without feeling dizzy and nauseous. Also needs a good clean. Lots of dust and dirt everywhere. No one has the manners to place the equipment back and staff don’t take care of this. You are constantly walking around looking for weights.

Negative experience: Called and stopped my membership in December and was told I was better off waiting out my term (January) and they would stop renewal. Now on the 30th of March I get a text saying I own them money by the 1st of April or it's being sent to debt collectors. Try to call and get diverted because of lockdown and get told I can't speak to anyone before the 1st of April. This is a joke being threatend with legal after their mistake and they are unavailable to talk to before the due date.

Negative experience: Very poor customer service. Staff are beyond rude and patronising. When I rang to cancel my membership after 12 months, they refused saying that my contract had been extended due to Covid. It was unhygienic during Covid. Spray bottles not working. Hand sanitiser pumps broken. The staff just rudely said I know. And did nothing. This gym is very untidy. People do not put their equipment away and the staff are not tidying up either. I had a membership a few years ago and I was very happy then. Not this time.
