Fantastic experience: Good gym i love all the classes

Negative experience: Terrible customer service from every single staff member in the centre. Waited for over 20 mins for the nuggets to arrive with the chips that were thrown on the table in front of my family. Nuggets were burnt chips were cooked twice and cold by time got thrown at us. Waste of money and very let down about the whole day, frequently visit the centre on our family holidays but will be sure to give this place a miss from now on. Sad to see how much this place has changed over the years. Maybe some new younger staff would help instead of the knitting club behind the counter ..

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Perfect for the kids. There is a big pool for laps, a kids pool, a smaller kids pool that is like a spa / has bubbles and also a spa for adults (children over 16yr to use). Big slide open on weekends and school holidays. Only down fall is if you leave and want to re enter later you must pay again as your paying for a 'casual visit'.

Negative experience: The two young lifeguards on this morning 07/09 need serious retraining on their jobs, to busy looking anywhere other than the pool and acting bored out of their brains when it's their turn to man the water slides,not making children wait and letting them pile down on top of each other.

Negative experience: Unfriendly and sexist is what I would call this environment!. I am a local visitor of the leisure centre, and go to the gym often but today, I was told of by a middle aged women with dark hair who told me to leave because I had no shoes on, but when I was leaving she told a male that they had no shoes on too and walked off as if nothing and didn’t tell them to leave. I also heard her saying stuff about me as I was leaving.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic location and beautiful facility. The water slide was a big hit with the kids. I didn't use the gym but it looked really great and seemed well equipped.

Positive experience: Nice staff, payed extra for the spa which we later found out was just a hot tub surrounded by the rest of the pool, which was very busy. Knowing this, I would have not payed extra for the spa, considering we’ve payed less at other places for swimming and hot tub included

Positive experience: I go to this place mostly for the gym. The staff that work in the area are polite and happy to help you if you need a little assistance. Everything has a good routine of being clean, there are signs with indicators on how to use the machines, what area if muscle they work, and have wipes near by to clean them up after your use to keep it clean for everyone. You are able to buy food here with good prices. The pools are kept neat with a good system. There are plenty of space in the change rooms and many stalls, some with showers. Everything is set up very well and organised.

Negative experience: Have had 2 of their old chairs crack and pinch me

Fantastic experience: The centre includes a lap pool, leisure pool and spa. The facilities have been maintained in good condition. The staff are attentive and friendly. The indoor pools are warm, and the spa is maintained at a good temperature. The pool area was reasonably quiet on a Friday evening. Plenty of on site parking available.

Negative experience: Gym is decent and staff are great. But if you’re looking for zero-gym-etiquette clowns who hog 3 to 4 gym machines at one time, this is the place

Negative experience: If you are not a member you cant join any class. They are always full and no place, so I will not try again. This place is just a big disappointment.

Negative experience: This gym is very very subpar. No real squat rack, not enough standing room, most of the cushions are cracked and falling apart, its so small some equipment is littered near the toilets (imagine doing a workout near a toilet door!) The cooling system barley works, no room to deadlift, prices are stupidly high for what it is, some of the equipment is quite nifty but your standing right over the top of somone else.... this gym leave alot to desire. If you want a gym that limits your time on a treadmill...this is your gym. With its high prices you would think they would have upgraded with all that free room by now.

Fantastic experience: We always visit here when in the area. Play in the water and slide for the kids, lap swimming for Mum and Dad. Finish with chips and nuggets. Great for the whole family.

Fantastic experience: I have 3 1/2 year-old twins boy and a girl we have lessons at 11:45 every Thursday. our twins have had three lessons so far and they are going to leave some bounds our instructor is a lady called Sam. She is so fantastic with the children. I can’t give her enough credit. She makes everything fun and enjoyable and there’s also another lady in the pool. She is fantastic as well. I’m sorry I don’t know her name but I can’t give Sam enough credit for how she treats our kids. And she treats them with love and respect. Thank you very much Sam you are a fantastic instructor thank you

Negative experience: My 5 year old son was treaded unfairly by the staff. An older child was aggressive towards my son and the teenager supervising the children decided to cancel my son and the other boys access to the slide. When I approached the attendant to get an explanation, she said she can cancel as she pleases. She ruined my son's day. He was looking forward to going there for the second time for days, literally each day he would ask me to take him there. The first thing she should of done was consult with the family and her seniors before implementing this heavy handed rule. Absolutely no customer service skills what's so ever! Who ever is considering taking your children here be warned, the employees have no customer service skills and they Absolutely don't know how to handle children.

Positive experience: This is a great centre for the entire family. My son loves going between the two kid pools. You're always able to get a lane to do some laps. The sprinklers in the kids pool do need to be fixed (assuming they previously worked) and there are certain staff that aren't very friendly. We did show up on Saturday at 9:30am as it showed 8am open online. It has been corrected to 10am now.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic indoor heated pools, Beach entry on one side & steps on another. Water slide on weekends & school holidays. Perfect place for all ages & abilities. The on-site Cafe has a wide range of food & drink options too.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I went to this pool for a swim meeting. The place was lovely and clean, ladies behind the desk were happy and smiling. The life guard on the day was so nice and I swear smiled all day!

Fantastic experience: Kids love learning to swim here

Negative experience: I haven't been very lucky with a positive experience there. From the day we relocated we were advised that this centre was excellent. The facilities are clean and the pool is big with lots of space but the teachers are friendly. I ended up taking my son out for the summer and spring term to get into ocean school and he learned a lot more than he did in a whole year. We went back for private lessons the teacher is amazing but zero flexibility around schedule changes makes it very hard for working parents.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place, first time going here, as it was not built prior to me leaving the state over 20yrs ago. Staff were all very friendly and great at their jobs. Facilities were awesome. The indoor slide and kids play pool are next level, my nephew and 2 neices had an amazing time on them all and the bigger pool is just right. I will be back there again for sure.

Positive experience: Took our 7yo grandson and spent over 4 hours at the Bay & Basin Pool & Leisure Centre, Vincentia. Good sized amenities although the pools were a bit too heated (you could have been in a warm bath with the shallow pool!). The takeaway food left alot to be desired and being prepared in a small badly laid out kitchen area easily viewed by the customer. The coffee was awful, they need a good Barista for sure. Reception staff were lovely.

Fantastic experience: Lovely warm exercise

Negative experience: 1. The chlorine in the water made both my kids' eyes sting and iritated the skin on my eldest. 2. We left an athsma inhaler in the change room, and when we rang about it the following day, we were advised that anything that gets left behind gets thrown out at the end of the day; this includes inhalers, swim goggles, etc. 3. There was a dirty nappy floating around in the leisure pool.

Negative experience: The place is good but a couple of employees are rude.

Negative experience: Double checked the pool was open on their website which it stated it was. On arrival we were told only lessons, laps or rehabilitation swimming was allowed and that their website " is unreliable and you should ignore it". Asked if we could take my daughter for a lap swim which they said no to. Very disappointed, very poor management and clear communication, probably won't return due to the incapability.

Really helpful and friendly staff member who gave me all the details and explained everything. Excellent service. Just got to fill in the paperwork and then back to the gym.

Fantastic experience: Has great pool and spa plus gym and a winding slide. Also has food and swimwear etc for sale. Two pools indoors, one starts at 1.3m up to 1.8m and then kiddies pool, they have sloping from 0.0 to 1.3m plus the bubbles for little ones to enjoy. Bigger pool is 28degrees and other smaller one is 33degrres I would say spa is approximately 36degrees.

Lol. They have a kids pool a slide which is awesome for all ages a heated and not heated pool which is great for all year round.

Negative experience: Very cramped and badly laid out gym area with no privacy glass so people tend to stand and stare at people working out (feels like you're in a fish bowl with people tapping on the glass) as well as allowing people to attend with horrendously bad B.O. Workers are pretty lazy when it comes to ensuring equipment is maintained, kept tidy, and sorted out in the gym so finding the correct equipment or weight plates is more of a hassle than anything else. If you've never been to a gym before its best to pay for at least one training session here as they'll give zero basic instruction and then walk past you even if you're showing dangerously poor form that could lead to injury. Pool area is also difficult to use at times as they refuse to touch the lane ropes so 2/3rds of the main pool is cut off by lane ropes even though the lanes get very little use through the day or hold aqua classes so there's very little space left with deafeningly loud music and instructions yelled over the PA. The place definitely needs better management and a redesign to be larger and better equipped.

Fantastic experience: My first day and went through the gym equipment with Darren who started my program slowly and gently as I have a couple of problems. They are very active in regards to sterilizing the equipment. An enjoyable experience so far lol

Positive experience: This is a great indoor heated pool, spa and slide for younger kids (spa for over 18ys) they have replaced the seating which is great but, because of what the are 2 in 1 pool cover rolls/seating it is very close to the pool where you easily get wet if just spectating. Trading hours have always been a bit ridiculous being so short especially on a weekend. This place not only needs but would benefit from expansion with outdoor heated pools and sports areas in and outdoors. A sauna and definetly a waterpark with more slides following on to the outside area for the little ones. This place could be so much better and would certainly get the clientele to fund it.

Fantastic experience: I went to Power class yesterday. Outdoors, limited numbers (necessary to book), strict social distancing, all equipment is cleaned before and after class ++ Our highly competent instructor gave options for those with less experience and for those who are fit and experienced. I have been walking during isolation times.... but really needed this workout which included whole body. Highly recommend for all. Much appreciation to the Leisure Centre... keep these classes coming.

Negative experience: Spend 3 days there with friends and family spend over $60 on entry daily and even more on food my child dropped an ice cream as soon as they opened it they wouldn’t replace it. To me that’s poor, and bad customer service will not go back there.

Negative experience: Unfortunately when I was there the pools had to be closed because there was poo in them. We moved into the baby pool and it took staff over 40 minutes to tell us that they were on the same filter system and that they also had to shut that pool. Really disappointed that only one person on shift seemed to know that and it took that long to get the appropriate messaging out to swimmers

Positive experience: Great centre with good facilties, very conveniant for young kids and toddlers, Stuff was not very helpful, but i guess thats how it is these days everywhere.

Fantastic experience: Be there twice now for a swim and they have good service a good price the water in the pool is not too deep and I love it there.
