Striker Indoor Sports and Fitness

Negative experience: Spoke to a lady named Cass, and she is the rudest customer service attendant I’ve ever spoken to. There was some difficulty hearing each other and not even 10 seconds into the call, she started repeating her question loudly and angrily the way a kid does when they don’t get their way. She was probably having a very bad day. Fair enough. The next male attendant I spoke to was very nice though.

Fantastic experience: Nearly a decade of running indoor cricket teams at Striker and they have been very supportive to help grow the game for all types of talent and ability. I wonder how many more mates I can bring down before they tell me to stop adding teams...

Positive experience: Main purpose is basketball, but the court has several dead spots. It needs refurbishing.

Negative experience: Management of the indoor cricket competitions at Striker have always been reasonable in the 10+ years that I have been playing at this centre however in recent times management at all levels has been poor. People play sport for fun in fair competitions. Decisions were made that clearly favoured a team that the centre had a vested interest in, when the issue was brought up as being unfair to all of the other teams that had competed and paid their money over the course of a 24 round season, it was simply dismissed and told "it's all just a bit of fun". All for sport being fun but it should also be fair otherwise the fun is taken out of it when competitions are compromised simply because it suited the management. Poor communication and the purple circle that engulfs Striker only continues to grow. Shame really because it just means that the sport is less "fun" knowing that management are likely to favour some over others when it suits them.

Negative experience: Owner was so arrogant and rude. This place is not recommended for family events especially with kids.

Positive experience: Great squash courts. Super friendly staff who are very helpful...

Negative experience: They require more culturally diverse and attentive referees, they seem to be lacking in that area.

Negative experience: It’s a collection of the most Racist people, manager , referees . Been playing there for 10 years and been patient all the time but had enough. The worst people you can come across in your life ,work there .

Negative experience: Old bloke on court 1 is lazy and is clearly disinterested. If he had his attitude as a retail worker he'd be sacked immediately. Lets games get out of hand and dangerous because he isn't watching or can't be bothered making calls, he's more interested in what's happening on the other court, and starts games 5 minutes early to get home sooner. The fact we pay for that kind of service is genuinely sad, and the fact a lot of people here say the same thing and NOTHING is done, the managers should be ashamed. Go elsewhere, plenty of futsal centres will provide a better experience.

Negative experience: Horrible referees! Specially the one in court 1, older fella. I have injured my chin & back… very racist lad! Disappointing to see this happening in 2023!! Will YOU GUYS PAY for my medical bills!!

Fantastic experience: Great venue, friendly staff. Use the squash courts weekly and recommend the venue. Plenty of parking

Negative experience: Referees have lost all enthusiasm. Cant even ask court 2 ref a question otherwise he takes it personally and insults you.

Negative experience: the referee on court 2 is shocking and is stirs everything up and then blames players for issues. has an issue with giving our cards and is a disgrace.

Negative experience: Unprofessional management who i did not felt adequately address my issues in a professional manner. Have been playing here for 15 years...there it goes. The courts and equipment admittedly are very good.

Negative experience: This place has lost the plot - they have literally started to leave towels on the middle of the court to prevent players from slipping because of leaks in the roof that have been there for several months. the refs don't even pay attention to the game....

Fantastic experience: Amazing place for Futsal, played here for 15 years. And two things have been consistent, quality futsal competition and a leaking roof. So I suggest a name change is in order - from Leeming to Leaking.

Negative experience: Customer service was very poor. I booked courts for badminton and the desk attendant accidentally booked the courts for squash. Didn't really appreciate the attitude I was presented with.

Negative experience: Pay premium for ageing facilities. Horrible customer service, no respect to loyal customers. I believe a lot of customers would of left the centre by now, however as the centre is local and convenient for most , we have no other choice. Hopefully a change of management one day will see the centre become better, as bad customer service stems from the culture provided by upper management.

Negative experience: The roof in the main hall has been leaking every time it rains for 2 years! It’s really dangerous. Everyone pays good money to rent the hall and despite complaining to management, they don’t want to spend the money to get it fixed! If it’s not fixed soon, our group along with many others will be looking for a new place to rent for our games which is a shame as we have been playing at striker for years.

Negative experience: Basketball game for the kids got cancelled this morning due to water leaking from the roof onto court. I work FIFO so don't get to see them play hardly ever. Pretty poor on your behalf striker. Apparently an ongoing issue Get your roof fixed, or don't schedule to have games there when you know its still broken

Fantastic experience: A really good and fun place to spend the day. It is a big building with allows access to indoor cricket, professional cricket training and indoor basketball. The staff are very nice and helpful and the prices are worth for the experience. The two story building, hosts many sporting events and is a good day out for kids. Equipment is somewhat provided but not all the gears. This place is also used for Inflatable World after the hours of the indoor sports center. Futsal is also provided by the center. All in all an amazing place to spend some time.

Positive experience: The Basketball court floor is hollow, making it harder to dribble a ball. The rims are rusty and the backboard is made of slippery glass, making it not very ideal.

Negative experience: My sons team has played indoor soccer there for 4 seasons, this year in the grand final the other team brought in 3 really good players that have not played all season just to win. Effectively cheating. After emailing striker they couldn’t even bother sending a response.

Fantastic experience: Come here once or twice a week to play squash. Price is reasonable for court hire, I haven't had to hire racquets or anything though so not sure about that. Courts in decent condition. Staff are nice. Cam be a bit hard to get in and out of the venue parking depending on the time.

Positive experience: Great centre . Son plays basketball and it's never a hassle as there's plenty of parking and room to relax once your in . They need to fix the debacle that is the score boards for the basketball courts . Seriously , the fool that thought that putting the score boards where none of the spectators could see them needs to look for another job . The toilets have always been clean and in working order . The cricket facilities look first class and almost make me want to take indoor cricket back up .
