Negative experience: Alert people!!! If you can’t deliver the service to your customer let them go easily or compensate their money value. If you value your money and time, this gym is not the right choice for you. While it’s easy to join, the real challenges arise when you attempt to cancel your membership. Initially, I was informed that I have a flexible membership, which requires a 30-day notice for cancellation. This information is buried in the fine print of the contract, making it easy to overlook. I agreed to the notice period but requested to temporarily suspend my account to pay a reduced fee instead of the full membership. Unfortunately, they informed me that this wasn't an option. After putting my account on hold myself, I was surprised to find they charged me separately for the two weeks of the hold, in addition to the four weeks of advance notice for cancellation, along with other unexplained charges. This situation has been incredibly frustrating, especially since even their staff seem unclear about these transactions and please dont write thank you replying to this review

Negative experience: DONT SIGN UP FOR A TRIAL. I signed up for the 7 day trial and after cancelling on the third day of my trial, they instead decided to charge me a sign up fee and first month of membership and then put me on a 12 month contract. Insane how you can go in for a 7 days TRIAL and instead get locked into 12 months of payments.

Negative experience: Today I went to train and bought a My muscle chef Energy Drink, at first I noticed it tasted funny and what worried me the most is that it had no gas, it seemed to be expired, I talked to the person in the front desk and they told me they didn’t know anything about it. The service was horrible today, I have been coming to this gym for a long time and never have had such an awful experience not just for the drink also, the way the staff service. Waste of money

Fantastic experience: I called the club up today because I was considering having to cancel my membership early because I'm moving and there wouldn't be a Goodlife gym near me. Didn't have to wait long before Tamarah picked up and went through the process with me. She was very accommodating and provided me with a really good amount of information of what all of my options were. Her customer service was more than excellent and I felt well looked after. I ended up enjoying my chat with her so much that it made me even more sad to think about having to leave Goodlife. Goodlife Richlands should be very proud to have someone like Tamarah on their team .

Negative experience: DON'T GO TO THIS GYM . ripping off people , make sure if you sign to any contract from them . Read all written in the contact. make sure no hidden shit in it . I was paying my whole 12 months membership and i notice they still deducting money in my account even thou my membership already expired .

Negative experience: Be AWARE of your contract, my husband and I signed up for an 18-month contract only. However, we were charged extra for personal training services that we did not agree to or were not mentioned during the sign-up process. The charges were automatically deducted from my husband's account. Upon reviewing the contract, we found no mention of personal training services. We attempted to resolve this issue by contacting the gym multiple times via phone calls and emails, but we received responses only after several weeks stating that we have to wait for consumer manager, Consequently, 6weeks later getting no where via email communication my husband and I visited the gym in person to address the matter. During the visit, the staff insisted that my husband had agreed to the personal training services, which was not the case. Despite the lack of evidence supporting their claim, as the staff who signed him up apparently was on holiday, they refused to acknowledge their error. Additionally, the receptionist, Tamara, displayed a rude and unprofessional attitude. I would like to express my appreciation to Anthony for eventually resolving the issue by pausing our payment for the time frame, However, I find it concerning that false accusations were made and money was collected without our explicit consent for additional charges. Make sure you Double check, triple check what your signing Up for!

Negative experience: Utterly terrible service on 'attempting' to cancel my membership. Cancelled over 2 months ago and I'm still getting charged. Have called and emailed Crystal (the Manager) who avoids providing any response or acknowledgement that I have raised an issue. Goodlife should change their name to Goodluck.

Negative experience: If I could give them 0 stars for their service I would... Crystal being manager for 15 years surprising you are still in this job... Tamara another character who really needs to know how to treat customers. Daily motivational quotes in Facebook is great.. maybe take note of what you put and practise how to treat others. There is no need to talk over people and no need to be agressive especially when you are in the wrong. I wouldn't recommend this place and sad I was associated with them for many months. My suggestion is that both of them attend some courses on Customer Experience, Empathy and Listening to your customers rather than jumping on your high horse. I would like to see what if anything Senior Management of Goodlife do about this.

Negative experience: The Richlands gym is toxic and lead by an aggressive management . I left shaken for asking a simple question Story : I was stopped inside the gym building after gaining access by using my 24/7 card ( which is national wide) . I asked I am stopped why and the manager said she was performing some sort of checks However ,While inside on treadmill I noticed she let in every one else and did not ask others So I was curious after 10 minutes I went back to ask as why only me was picked on and how come others was let in without any explanation? The manager answer was she knew the others That went in if that is the case I just pointed out to other man that was sitting near by that had seen me at the gym before but while I tried to reason then manager then absurdly escalated and ask me to leave and she claimed I am now banned from that gym This is incredible and traumatic to endure fo no reason but just because I asked to why only me was asked for id I have been a good life member for over ten years I ask the head office to review the footage of how I was humiliated and pushed out by an aggressive lady called crystal

Negative experience: This branch should shut down ASAP. Toilet and washing area is always so dirty and disgusting. The way it is it can put people life in danger. Also staff are so rude they always on their phones or talking to each other. If you ask them something they just say something to make you go. Not sure how did they get health inspection done here !!!

Negative experience: Horrid place, especially as a PT. It is hostile and constantly busy, there is no point showing up because you won't get any equipment you need even as a PT with clients.

Negative experience: The ONLY saving grace this place has is promiximity of location. Reception service leaves a Lot to be desired - staff member name Isaac could do with a brush up of customer service skill else no point being in front of house, active listening skill is below par - professionalism ... dont even go there!

Fantastic experience: Ive been too scared to join a gym even though Ive always wanted to, and after a few bad experiences speaking with other gyms in my area I was about to give up, but decided to reach out to goodlife. I was met with the most lovely and patient staff who took me for a tour of the gym and gave me space and time to think about memberships, which was explained in detail with no pressure and they answered all the questions I had. This was so important to me and Im so thankful! I felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable on my first day here, the staff are supportive, kind, and attentive. I have pretty bad social anxiety, but felt truly listened to and understood. Which is a big thing for me. The facilities are excellent, and the atmosphere is positive and chill! I also really love the lighting and layout. I look forward to learning new things and reaching goals I had given up on!

Negative experience: Machines wobbly and unsafe. 1 of 2 drnk taps broken for 2+ months. "Waiting for parts" Sauna element broken for 4+ months."waiting for parts". Sauna packed with people but cuts off at 7pm. During 5-7pm forget doing weights - 5 free weights benches....none extra post COVID.

Negative experience: I encountered a disappointing customer service incident this evening. The individual at the front desk avoided helping me with retrieving my $5 from the vending machine. Instead, he presented me with a choice between assisting me or addressing a fire alarm situation. His response was accompanied by a hint of attitude, stating that he did not know how to help me. I reassured him that I would manage on my own, which I did. The situation was unwarranted as I simply needed assistance from someone in his position, which should have taken no more than a minute of his time. However, he insisted that he could not help me, making me feel guilty for asking as he prioritized the fire alarm over my request. All he could do was inform me that he was unable to assist and left it at that, without bringing up the fire alarm. I only required his help, not to be put in a position where I had to choose between my request and an urgent matter he needed to address promptly. And was there really a fire alarm situation because I didn’t hear anything? But that’s beside the point. I am not satisfied with the service provided...

Negative experience: The women's bathroom and showers are so dirty, I have made complaints to the customer service staff, this was met with the usual "we'll look into it" followed by nothing, the showers are still very very dirty.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with this gym. I signed up for a free two-week trial but canceled in person within the cooling-off period because it wasn't the right fit for me. Months later, they signed me up for an 18-month contract without my permission and started taking money from my account. When I went in person to resolve the issue, they insisted that I had agreed to the contract, which I hadn't. They won't admit their mistake and said the only way out is to pay $295. I've never even been to the gym since the trial and never agreed to the contract. This gym is a scam, making false accusations and collecting your bank information to charge you for things you didn't agree to. Avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: Management is rude. I agree with the above reviews about they welcome you into the club to take your money but when you need help they are no where to be seen. They avoid phone calls and emails when they have wronged me and misinformed us in the first place. I really hope this reaches them and they decide to make the right decision and fix their wrong doing while putting customers first, only then would I even reconsider this place

Negative experience: Be very careful when you’re sign any contract with this gym, they’re very respectful and welcoming when you want sign in but very rude when you’re going to cancel your membership, read the contract word by word and don’t listen to whatever they’re saying.

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would (Member reviewing of my husbands account) the gym really has changed over the year and a bit I'm sure it's due to new management but it is nasty the upkeep of the gym esp the woman's bathroom and showers and sauna I think I've made more than enough complaints if your a paying member I'm sure it's common courtesy if members don't know how to keep the space clean or atleast decent there should be rules put in place I don't even think cleaners even come in anymore I remember there never used to be any problems with seeing the facilities clean the thought of getting ready here before work is even worse especially if this is convenience for travel to work and home.

Negative experience: Took 5 weeks to get my membership down graded. An in person visit, multiple emails and phone calls. Last person I spoke to did not reply to my email for 2 weeks and did not return my call despite leaving an urgent message. Rubbish customer service and staff are rude and unhelpful.

Positive experience: Beautiful looking gym, nice and busy if you’re into those vibes but woww the men’s bathroom smells very unpleasant and sometimes litter everywhere. Idk maybe because I come in around 9-10pm but yeah can be a lot more clean and smell fresh.

Negative experience: Multiple machines unsafe and despite providing feedback, nothing gets done. They will happily happily take your money though even when you tell them your 24/7 access card doesn't work and you have to wait for people to let you through. The trainers though are the good point of this gym with all of them being friendly and willing to help. It a shame they ask for feedback and do nothing about it.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, great classes, and overall, it's a nice place. I recommend the pilates, machines, free weights, and the sauna. The classes can be cold, especially if you are attending a yoga or body balance class. The floor isn't cleaned between classes, so it can be quite dirty to roll a yoga mat out on. The showers need some benches, and the shower heads need upgrades. It has a great atmosphere and it's a lively place for a workout.

Negative experience: Poor customer service from some of the staff members and once your contract is finished, they still try to get money off their customers without explaining clearly why additional has to be paid after finishing the contract and wanting to cancel their service . It's a gym i will not recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: Pathetic service and non cooperative behaviour of staffs. All they want is people to join once joined they dont care about the service on top they keep deducting money from your account after sending them email to hold the account. Staff called me 4 times after my 1st enquiry to join, I physically went there telling staff that i need to put a hold on my account for 6 months they were asking for email after sending email they kept deducting money from my account. What I dont understand is y do they deduct money for any good reason when someone tell them to hold the account? Worst experience in my life and arrogant staff. Will never recommend anyone.

Negative experience: Truthfully, I am disgusted with the experience I had at this gym when I was pulled up about “tailgating”. When I was at world gym Springfield they told me when I signed up that they didn’t care if I brought a gym buddy in unstaffed hours. I thought this was normal for all 24 hour gyms so I just assumed it would be ok at goodlife. WRONG. It was stupid of me to assume that this gym would be ok with it like the other gym I attended but I wasn’t even allowed a warning after explaining this to the staff - they just wanted to get more money out of me. They also seemingly didn’t set up my brother’s 1 month membership correctly (in lieu of $200 tailgating fine) and I was overcharged. Not only that, it was extremely difficult to get any kind of resolution out of the staff. Misinformation and a lack of communication had me chasing the staff to reply to my emails because they went unanswered for days, leading me to think that something shady was happening. It left me feeling very uneasy. To add insult to injury, the staff member who called me about the “offence” chided me as if I was a naughty child and said to me, “I hope you learned your lesson.” This behaviour toward me had ruined my motivation in coming to gym and I made all sorts of excuses not to come into goodlife because of it. I’m a gym rat, I love the gym and I used to go 5x a week. But since the staff tried shaming me the way they did, I haven’t wanted to go. I love gym, just not THIS gym. So I moved to Fitness Cartel, which is a common occurrence, so I hear - not just with clients but also the FC staff. They leave goodlife with a bad taste in their mouth. I’ve left Goodlife and I will never ever be signing up with this franchise again. I am not usually the kind of person to post reviews on Google but because of the absolute debacle I experienced I think it’s more than warranted. The way I’ve been treated is an absolute disgrace.

Negative experience: Not surprised By the 1 star reviews. Money hungry and will tell you lies to get you to sign up!! Signed up with Andy and he told me I will get an extra 2 weeks free if I sign up with him. I did it online before the promo ended and did not get honoured the extra 2 weeks, so he pretty much lied and I vaguely remember him saying that you get 2 free PT session when you sign up which is not true, so he also lied about that. Oh and you have to pay a PT just to SHOW you how to use the machines! What an absolute joke, since when is this a thing?! How do you expect someone to use the gym equipments when they’ve never used it before?! I’m obviously paying for my membership so I can use it so shouldn’t you be showing?!?. Andy is super money hungry chasing his commission, he will tell you all these things to get you to sign up and doesn’t honour them when you do . Don’t recommend this gym! AVOID and take your money elsewhere!

Negative experience: Super rude customer service and bad experience. The club manager clearly said ‘we are a very busy club with more than 7000 customers’, which is explicitly said I do not need you to come here to our club. My husband has been with GL a Platinum (plus 1guest on the weekend) brought me in on Sat 20/01 and we were attacked by both staff and the club manager. We went here many weekends without knowing about staff hours until today she accused us tailgating as we entered the premises after 2 pm. We did not want to argue but she kept attacking and escalating the situation by saying the contract T& C has been changed and he cannot bring a guest (which is totally wrong and untruthful). She also threatened us many times by saying I would fine you right here and right now. I cannot accept this kind of attitude towards the member and guest. I will definitely choose another club. Shame on you Goodlie!

Fantastic experience: Joined up 2 weeks ago with my husband. Heidi was super helpful getting us sorted and checking in. So far have only positive things to say, even when it’s super busy can always get a cable machine or squat rack when needed. Couldn’t work out how to use the hip thrust machine the other day so asked another lady behind the counter who was also really friendly and showed me how to use it properly. Can’t complain at this stage

Negative experience: RUDE STAFF - DESERVES 0 STARS!!! First & last visit to Richlands goodlife due to condescending staff. I’ve been a member of goodlife for years and I’ve never encountered such nasty customer service from a worker. The brunette in the reform uniform working as “security” on 6/01/24 working after ‘staffed hours’ at 2:10pm had the absolute worst attitude. Clearly having a power trip over telling people they’ve tailgated after making an honest mistake of not knowing the staffed hours close early at 2pm due to it being my first visit to Richlands goodlife. When I discussed my situation of my platinum membership (+1 on weekends) and how I normally bring a guest in every weekend at my usual GL gym that is normally staffed at that time that and that I didn’t have any malicious intent to tail gate she spoke to us very rudely and condescending. If ‘just doing your job’ includes having a bad attitude towards members I will happily avoid the club. My guest and I were happy to leave and not train at all and come back in staffed hours but that wasn’t reasonable at all to her after entering 10min after staffed hours and not even knowing it was unstaffed. When explaining options of the $100 fine or signing up for 1 month membership she ‘forgot’ to tell us the admin fee would be waved and we had to find out from another worker. Is it waved because you’re not staffed? Why was there no option to have my guest sign up under a free trial? When asking her questions she would deflect giving a clear answer. Even a question as simple as - Is there an email I can contact your manager with? After asking several times I could not even a clear answer from her. It felt like she was purposely trying to make the experience as unpleasant as possible. When asking the other worker she helpfully told me on the first go. Did not make any sense how they weren’t ‘staffed’ after 2pm but staff were still there working and doing admin work such as fining people/ signing members up for a month/ giving access tags. If they are working “security” how are they not goodlife staff when they are clearly wearing goodlife uniform aswell? In this case I should not have been flagged for tailgating/ forcing my guest to sign up for a month as the gym was technically staffed when I entered. The blonde worker also working “security” was definitely more helpful and spoke to us politely with manners unlike the brunette girl who has appalling customer service. I am deeply disappointed.

Positive experience: This is a really good gym now. I’ve been going here more over the Christmas period as it’s close to home and more convenient than my usual one which is closer to where I work. Great variety of equipment and I’ve never had to wait to use what I want. Congratulations on the vast improvement in the cleanliness of the facilities. Looks so clean most of the time now. Staff friendly. Keep up the great work. Happy now to continue coming to this gym more often now

Fantastic experience: I would like to personally put a 6 start review as what they have done deserved more than 5 stars. That was a Sunday about 2 months ago when I was working out in the gym and my headphone was sadly stolen by someone in the gym when I put my headphone aside to give my ears a bit reset... While I was going to the restroom I found it was missing when I returned. The next day I came to the reception to speak to the girl Carol and I said I was very certain that it was stolen and I requested them to check the monitor by giving them the time frame when the headphone was missing. Carol then wrote down my details on the sticky note and attached to the front of the monitor and said the staff will check the monitor but it will take upto 3 business days. When it was the 3rd day I came to the reception and followed up and they actually found whom took it and said they will trace that person, meanwhile will report to the police. Honestly, at that stage I did not put much hope on it as I knew it was going to take much labor and time to check everyone in their large customer database in the system while they have to deal with other trivial matters. That may also meant they needed to keep an eye on that person from other members who checked in and out on daily basis. It was bose NC700. Feeling hopeless to get my headset back due to numerous effort needed for just a couple of hundred bucks, I just bought a brand new one and tried to forget this thing. Surprisingly, on the Friday afternoon close to Christmas, I got the club manager called me and said they got my headphone! (Really? No joking !) It was such a big surprise that they actually made attempt to keep looking it for me. When I came to the gym to speak to the reception, I was told that the manager actually traced the person who stole my headphone, tried to contact that guy and sent email and spoke to that guy in person, and eventually got my headphone back. Special thanks to Carol - her mandarin skill was almost native level that really really impressive. Anthony - super nice and extremely helpful as well that I believe worked hard behind the scene to help me with this matter. Cherish (not sure if I got the spelling right, She gave me the headphone back and said they did everything they could to help us). Any other staff whom I don't know but really appreciate the team effort Sorry about the long review but I do appreciate and think that what they have done really deserve my time to write this review and express my deep gratitude to their dedication to customer service. 3-01-2024

Fantastic experience: read a few negative reviews and was cautious but it's overall a decent gym, not as crowded as I thought it would be and it's a decent sized gym as long as you avoid peak hours, good amount of equipment for a gym that size. I haven't had to deal with customer service much so I can't say much on that but the gym itself isn't bad.

Positive experience: What I like: 24/7, fairly new, sauna, lots of machine and free weight, spin room, conveniently located, staff is friendly What I dislike: we pay a premium price with restricted hours to access sauna, **can’t access the spinning or group class room outside of the classes (big negative point for me as I go outside these classes)**, **be aware that there are a lot of schoolies & people during peak hours (avoid 4pm to 7:30pm if you can)**

Negative experience: really try to hard sell the membership. The salesperson was very nice over the phone. We went to the gym and tried out a reformer class. instructor was rude and impatient even when she knew we were first timers. After trialing the class, we sat down with the salesperson as we were interested to join a gym regardless of a bad experience with the reformer instructor. The salesperson rushed through the prices. She got impatient and kept looking away when we said we wanted to write down the numbers. Even when asked to clarify and show us the contract and the cancellation policy, she didn't want end up showing us one. All she was saying is that this offer will end today and kept hard selling us. We didnt feel comfortable so we left without joining. Honestly, the gym was nice and we would have joined if terms and conditions were clarified. She then called us multiple of times that night and in the morning.

Negative experience: if i could give 0 stars i would. firstly, i highly do not recommend this gym at all, ever since day one there has been issues. i was rushed through my membership agreement, and then i moved and couldn’t pay for my membership any more. i called multiple times asking to cancel my membership from as early as april, they told me they would send me a confirmation, and it never came. i then kept running into debts with them even when i wasn’t attended the gym. i brought those debts up to date and i was still being charged after multiple times of me asking to cancel my account. they forced me to pay for fees 8 months after not attending the gym. the customer service was so rude and wasn’t understanding and kept lying to me. if you want to go to a gym around the same area, i highly recommend anytime fitness around the corner, their customer service is exceptional and 110% better than goodlife

Negative experience: Where to start? Honestly one of the worse gyms I’ve been a member of. It’s a very small gym , always packed full of people no matter if you go at 2pm or 11pm. Groups of friends standing around one machine so you can’t actually use anything. Not to mention the place also absolutely stinks of sweat and is filthy. If you come in the evening the smell hits you right away! The security door for 24/7 access wasn’t working for a couple of weeks and no one bothered to fix it, meaning people couldn’t actually exit the gym during unstaffed hours and were told to just prop the door open, massive safety hazard should there be a fire in the building and the door is closed. Good luck trying to cancel your membership when your term expires after 7 emails, speaking with someone on the phone it’s still not cancelled. The customer service from the staff here is here horrific, save your money, get a better experience and go to the anytime fitness opposite. Do better Richlands Goodlife.

Positive experience: - Honest Review - I have been talking to this beautiful soul Myah from Goodlife Richlands (almost as if we were old friends) for the last 3 days about signing up. She answered my billions of questions (some even repetitive) with nothing but kindness and patience. When I wasn't sure about the contract and other things, she constantly asked if I was sure this was what I wanted to do before we went ahead. She offered me multiple things and explained them all before we went ahead any further. It didn't feel like a business arrangement, but someone who wanted to make sure this gym/package suited what I needed as an individual and she was so caring and genuine. I couldn't recommend her enough. We aren't even from the same suburbs; so on top of all of that, she arranged for my key collection, PT sessions, and meet at greet at my local gym. Negative experience: Showers not clean. Strong cautionary tale about using the female showering facilities. For the last three Mondays I have used the F showers (wearing thongs thank goodness) there are four cubicles provided and all are backing up with the water pooling and not draining away. This is the reason why - see photo. An additional observation is the uncleaned walls of each of these cubicles with layers of overlapping streaks of shampoo and conditioner suggesting long intervals between slapdash cleaning. Lift your game please.

Negative experience: Not happy at all, no flexibility of membership cancellation, they are tying their best to rip you off. Never recommend to anyone

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this gym! I wish I got into fitness earlier in my life. I will be 60 years old next year (2024) and I believe I am at the fittest and strongest I've ever been in my life; thanks to Goodlife gym Richlands. The staff at the front desk are always friendly with the biggest of welcoming smiles, as you walk in at the front door. Their smiles are a great encouraging start to my work out session. The gym has awesome fitness classes with amazing instructors who keep me motivated and inspired to continue on my fitness journey. The facility has many different machines to use on all body parts. If these machines are occupied during the busy periods, (as all gyms get), then there are numerous free weights which can be used instead. The entire facility is clean, bright, open and has an awesome atmosphere. It is set up in a very well organized manner. The music and screens displaying music videos adds to the awesome atmosphere and it is a wonderful form to encourage my work out and make it pleasurable. The only suggestions I would give is that the gym should bring in an adductor/abductor machine and play more R&B and hip hop music. I can see that the person who manages this gym is highly skilled in their position and really cares about providing the best for it's members. I would encourage anybody in any age group, to join this gym. It is AWESOME!

Positive experience: Could have a bit more cardio and a few more weights but everything is modern so cant complain

Fantastic experience: Love the sauna! I try use as often as I can! I mainly go for group fitness classes and the teachers are full or energy, very motivating and entertaining! There’s also a lot of equipment and great space for weight training and stretching etc

Negative experience: I was interested to do a Zumba class that's why I went there to give it a go but I was so dissapointed to realise that I was not doing Zumba. Don't get me wrong, the instructor was good but it was not what the timetable say. When we got there at the reception, we waited for a while to be attended but finally we've got noticed. YES! Somehow, I had fun going out. Thanks. ....Even though, I didn't give five star to this gym the last time, we kept going to do Zumba as casual visitors because they have other instructors and we enjoy doing Zumba but tonight, it was so bad. They didn't let us go in? The staff member said that one of the managers who was standing next to her, nodded "no" to her and then the staff member said to us that they're just going to be finished and be closing soon and the reception will be unattended? We're there before seven. This is the first time we encountered a situation like this. We were thinking to join this club but not anymore.

Positive experience: Decent gym. Has majority of the equipment for workouts. Busy during 6pm-10pm. Before COVID-19 classes were super poppin’ but now they’ve died down. The grass area is really nice to stretch and the greenery changes the environment.
