Fantastic experience: best gym in the area!!! been going to Derrimut for 2 years now and absolutely love it. friendly staff, massive facility with all the equipment you need, clean gym and good community of people who train there.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Derrimuts gym now for over two years. I’ve been to a few store locations. Pakenham by far is my favourite people are friendly. Staff are friendly and is really well-managed and the team are caring and do their best to look after the appointment and the people that attended gym, I’m always greeted by the manager upon arrival good team at Pakenham

Negative experience: the manager at the Pakenham establishment is really rude. i got banned from someone that STOLE my keycard without my permission and I called to explain to him but he was completely rude and just dismissive.

Negative experience: This was a good gym until recently! It’s absolutely packed all the time and they’ve moved the machines so close together that you have to wait for the person next to you to finish their set before loading/unloading weights. Also so much equipment is out of order constantly! There’s over 10,000 members there so at least keep the equipment working! There's also a group fitness room that has been closed for almost a year. I had just started a group fitness when they decided to temporarily close it! It's just not good enough.

Negative experience: Long term Pakenham gym user, unfortunately there has been a massive drop in the up keep of the gym equipment. OUT OF ORDER SIGNS EVERYWHERE!! To top it off, Tuesday 24th September, there wasn’t any water available in the gym, including in the toilets. (OHS ISSUE) NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Negative experience: Went to gym at 10pm on 20/09 and front desk completely unattended couldn’t buy my drink then as I walk into the gym the two workers on duty were on the equipment working out together instead of attending the front

Negative experience: The worst kept gym in Melbourne. All the machines are broken . Gym only wants members but doesn’t keep equipment in working condition.They have a room which has been emptied for 18months. The management and owners should be embarrassed.The gym is a joke.

Negative experience: I didn’t want to do this but I’ve been left with no choice. First of all I’m going to start with how amazing your staff are, they are the glue and five stars to the joint. But today.. Today is the tipping point. For months on end, members at Pakenham have had to deal with SEVERAL broken equipment. The thing that pissed me off is out of the 8 stairmasters, ONLY 2!!!! were working. We’ve been having 3 in use for 4 weeks. For people like myself who have stairs in their training plan, it’s a continuous frustration. Other Derrimuy gyms, like Corio are looked after with brand new machines yet we have machines that are still dinosaur age. Whilst on this topic, the number of cables snapped makes me nervous to use any cables because they’re not replaced… not to mention machines for legs, biceps, back are unavailable also due to being broken.. does anyone care about the OH&S? Another thing, it is OVERCROWDED. The deals are fantastic guys, but how many more people can Pakenham fit when people are literally arguing over use of equipment or not sharing it? Is it because Pakenham is too far to come out and fix? Your group class room has been under maintenance for how long now? Why not get rid of it if you can’t be bothered fixing it and put machines in there? This is piss poor for a gym that has a great reputation, but it’s time to stop picking and choosing which locations are looked after first, we also deserve to be looked after.

Positive experience: Heard a rumour that someone wasn't happy with how this gym was being cleaned. Looks pretty bloody clean to me. I watch that woman run around all day cleaning the crap out of this gym and it shows. Keep it up!!! What happened to the squat racks? You guys moved them so close, I can't even change my weights when the person next to me is doing a set. If you're looking for ways to utilise the room at the back corner, could you please consider a sauna? That'd be so good after a session!!!

Negative experience: Only thing it’s got going for it is its price. But even then if you’ve been a member longer than a year you’re probably stuck paying more than any of the new members because to change your plan you got to cancel wait 30 days then re sign up and pay set up fees. Equipments always broken or dirty. Cans and bottles stays in the locker area for weeks. Unless a customer picks them up. No paper towel anywhere. Whether it’s 5am or 10pm or any time between. To top it off they’ve decided to move all the squat racks that close together only every second person can use them because you can no longer move between or safely reach the weight plates for fear of hitting the person next to you. But still the cheapest in the area.

Negative experience: I'm visiting and wanted to get a pass for 20 days to work out while I'm here... 20$ a day is excessively high and makes no sense! Staff at the desk were nice enough.

Negative experience: Extremely ridiculously busy on peak hours. You get what you pay for as well in this case. Lots of machines but aging fast

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with Derrimut 24/7 Gym in Pakenham. It feels like a scam. I’ve been a member before, and when I rejoined, I was charged an $88 setup fee. When I switched to a month-to-month membership, they charged me another $88. Today, I decided to take the advertised $188 yearly membership, but once again, they charged me another $88 setup fee. Why should customers have to pay the setup fee repeatedly? It’s unfair and misleading. The big poster says $188, but the hidden costs are ridiculous. I understand paying a setup fee if you’re new, but existing members shouldn't have to pay extra setup fees for switching plans. This is really bad business practice.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility lively all day long. Amazing workout gym

Negative experience: last night 9/4, the night staff (Avi) had the music up obnoxiously loud, I had my noise cancelling headphones on, with volume on full and could still hear the gym music overpowering my headphones. He did not greet me on entrance or exit like the other staff always do and stood talking to his friend instead. This has been a reoccurring problem with this staff member and it is not welcoming coming to the gym when he is on the front desk.

Negative experience: Okay enough gym, but no group classes and you make sure to bring a towel as there hasn’t been paper towels to clean equipment before and after use for the last two months. Very gross!

Have been on holidays for the last six weeks and using different gyms on my holidays. Can’t believe how filthy dirty some of the gyms I have used are. It was lovely to come back to gym at Derrimut at Pakenham and no the place was going to be spotlessly clean.

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms i have ever been to, they charge you each fortnight for something new, like gov charges or this or that bullshxt, the staff in derrimut pakenahm is so disrespectful and they dont even talk properly, 0 star from me.

Fantastic experience: A lot of racks, benches and equipment. Even when its fully busy a lot of stuff is free most of the time. Very cheap priced for such a quality gym, you should wait for the mid-year sales as its ~$300 a year, way cheaper than a lot of gyms.

I have had nothing but a positive experience, both with the staff at this gym, and I made some superb friends over the last 2 years. Remember, we are all in it to build a better version of ourselves 2.0. Have that positive mindset and get off your phone. Please put your weight away after use and don't be a tool.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with good people. I lost my car keys during a workout and some absolutely legend gave them to the front desk! Only issue is the renovation that is long overdue to be done. No progress has been made after the floor was polished and epoxied. All the machines being close together can be frustrating when there during peak times.

Fantastic experience: Signed up for the $1 per day membership. It's been a positive experience thus far. Great deal btw. It would be nice to see the hand dryer in the boys bathroom fixed. Quite a few people have mentioned the big space next to the front window has been empty for quite some time. Perhaps a socialisation area with Couches or do something creative to utilise the space. A stretching area, a something aha However since my last membership 2 years ago, there's much more gym equipment.

Positive experience: Having gone to the gym for 3 years now the experience has dropped massively lately, there are so many broken machines now, the hand dryer in the toilets never works, but there’s also never any paper towels. I’ve also found in the evenings the music is so aggressively loud that I can’t hear my own music in my noise cancelling headphones. I used to look forward to my sessions and now not so much…

Positive experience: Too busy

Positive experience: Good Gym. It lacks the brute bars (the one that has the knurling in the middle) currently there are only 3 (as time of writing January 2023). These are specifically made for squats and deadlifts. The rest of the bars are for olympic powerlifting and has too much flex when doing heavy deadlifts and squats. My routine when entering is to always find one of these bars as I mostly do the 3 big lifts (squat, bench and deadlift). Other than that, amazing gym with heaps of equipment. I love that there are a lot of squat racks (although at peak time, finding an empty one might be a challenge). Friendly staff who always greet you when entering and leaving. Toilets and other facilities are also well kept. Adequate punching bags as well as a mini ring. Also offers classes. If you have the luxury, come at off peak as this is quite popular in the area. Heaps of parking too.

Fantastic experience: Great gym equipment with alright customer service however Andreas specifically has been a great help to me. I am new to the gym and am still learning and he always comes and helps me even off shift and is very nice and polite. People like Andreas make the gym community a better place and he deserves special recognition. Thanks, man, for helping me and allowing me to grow and improve at the gym you're such a positive influence on everyone.

Positive experience: Great gym, i love that you can go in at any time but my only problem was that it started to cost 15$ per casual visit which is just absurd. I used to go atleast 3times a week but stopped completely because thats way too much. Ive started working so i might come back because i really like this gym but the increase felt unnecessary from my POV

Fantastic experience: I have only just joined this gym. The boxing classes with Bec and John are so amazing- I highly recommend people giving these classes a go. Unfortunately the boxing class run by Eddy is not worth going to. I had a person who hadn’t boxed before partner with me and Eddy did not help her out at all.

Positive experience: An amazing gym that I’ve been training in for over 5 years now! The music is great, equipment is also great however could do with some new machines. Every worker and even the manager Belinda is very welcoming and super friendly however one girl who I’ve seen work in the mornings never acknowledges members when they walk in and out of the gym… Pretty disappointing when everyone is so friendly generally.

Positive experience: The gym is the best one so far in terms of cost, space, weights, and machines. It is open 24/7, even on public holidays. However, due to the focus on expansion, the gym's operations are struggling. More attention needs to be given to gym hygiene.

Fantastic experience: At the dawn of the sun, I’m unceasingly greeted by an exuberant, effervescent individual whom I believe is best known as Pavan. Similarly, when I frequent this particular exercise recreational facility in the dusk; a jolly, tantalising figure by the alias of Harley is consistently present to welcome me into the establishment with arms wide open. My indebtedness for this accomodating embrace by the aforementioned personnel is interminable.

Fantastic experience: The Group Fitness classes are incredible and lots of options, staff are great and it’s overall a fabulous gym

Negative experience: Musics shocking, half the time there’s nothing even playing and it’s just a silent gym. Kids at the front are too glued to their phones and can’t even greet or even look at you as you scan in. Never see anyone going around sorting out the plates or the dumbbells not even try manage it. All the d handles have knots tied in them so none of them match up and doesn’t even seem like management try to enforce anything against people doing it. One of the leg extension seats has been broken for over 6 months, you can’t move it backwards or forwards. Needs a few more adjustable benches that people can move around to use on smiths machines and cables as majority of them are bolted to the floor. A tbar row machine would be a really good thing to have, not sure why they got rid of it.

Fantastic experience: Great large spaceous gym with top of the line equipment. Toilets are clean and hygienic - without that overpowering smell of potent urine. Maybe the elliptical machines could be updated but apart from that; one of the best gyms around.

Positive experience: I moved to the area and started at this gym and found it to have loads of equipment, space and no waiting on equipment which for me is a bonus. I have been a member for a number of years at other gyms in particular good life,fitness first, zap, crunch fitness and find derrimut to be the better gym if you are a regular and serious about strength training. Gym is clean and staff are friendly. It also has a separate ladies gym which is nice for first time ladies who are a little intimidated with joining a gym or just for ladies that prefer to have their own space.
