Negative experience: Went there for a meal at the weekend , had the beef pasta, worse meal I’d ever had. Pasta and beef tossed in a bland regular gravy. It was awful. Really disappointed.mentioned it to a staff member who said she would pass on my comments to the chef and I could have mentioned it earlier. But no one came to the table to ask how our meal was.

Fantastic experience: It's a great place to go for lunch or dinner

Positive experience: Went as part of Social Golf Australia's Weekend golf competition. Cannot say much for the resort but the course is good, the course is in very good condition especially the tee boxes and greens. Front 9 is quite forgiving compared to the back 9 which is narrower and has more water. There are some very nice holes namely the par 5 water holes and the two par 3's on the 9th hitting over water and the 18th an island green. All in all quite a challenging course in places. My only complaint is that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday so I couldn't order any lunch and had to settle for some pies. Beer selection was also quite limited and sandwiches on offer were average.

Negative experience: We stayed here at the weekend and I am fuming! I have just received an email from them telling me that they have charged me a further $190 for items that they claim are missing. - pillows and a dooner! Definitely not the case. Why would take pillows and a dooner on our flight back to NSW!!!!! They are also claiming a cleaning fee for the third bedroom which was locked! We had no access to it. You’d think that before charging your CC, that someone would pick up the phone and discuss this with the guest in the first instance! Not this lot. Cannot be trusted.

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem. Nice layout , fairway and green are in perfect condition. Back nine is a lot harder especially for those ones you need to carry the lake makes the game interesting

Positive experience: Golf course overall is in good shape, but a few greens weren't great. Particularly hole 9 was terrible, I had a huge (10cmx20cm and 5 cm deep) divot in my birdie putt path which was very frustrating. Seemed like vandalism though so I feel for the greenkeepers. Overall a fun course to play though and great surroundings.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful estate with top facilities including tennis courts, pickleball courts, gym, fitness classes, swimming pool with the perfect water temperature, and of course golf course and walking tracks. Apartment rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with lakes and wild birds at the doorstep. Staff are very friendly. Absolutely a hidden paradise close to Melbourne.

Negative experience: Arrived Sunday Lunch time for 18 holes. They ran out of range balls and don’t have practise nets. Many other indications of poor management.

Positive experience: Went here last weekend with friends for a sneaky glass of vino after our arvo walk. We grabbed a casual table nearby to the fireplace. The place was bust. Families dining there, a group of motorbike riders popped in for a drink, there was also a function on (possibly a wedding but didn't spot a bride/groom) and golfers who'd finished playing. Weather was lovely, conversation and chunky hot chips were a delicious treat with our large sized (250ml) wines. We opted for a large pour as the standard would've disappeared in 5mins. I ordered a glass of rose' and it was fabulous.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place to go to for a meal. Took my elderly mother there for a meal out and we both enjoyed the food and ambience immensely. Great variety of food on menu to choose from, was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, reasonably priced and staff were extremely courteous, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended and will be definitely going back!

Fantastic experience: My extended family recently stayed the weekend at resort. We had 3, 3 bedroom apartments 1, 2 bedroom and 1, 1 bedroom apartment. Resort exceeded our expectations. We could all go in out of each other's apartments as they are all located together. Apartments have well appointed kitchens and laundries and very spacious rooms. The girl with tattoos and single top lol was so lovely and we have a shared love for CR. The males from our party enjoyed golf whilst the girls and kids enjoyed the pool. We played pickle ball and enjoyed a meal at the on sight restaurant. Location great for our day trip to funfields. Only slightly negative feedback is we booked dinner for 20 weeks in advance and were seated extremely close to another family large booking making it extremely difficult to move. There was plenty of space left in restaurant to avoid this. The other was price of stay included tennis, bowls and pickel ball equipment. They only had one set of pickel ball rackets and we couldn't use bowls after 7.30 even though it was daylight savings with plenty of light to spare. We will stay again.

Negative experience: Booked 6 months in advance. Asked for a room with disability access. On arrival at Melbourne airport (from interstate) received a phone call from the lovely Debbie (only works weekend's) who asked if we were still coming as we had requested disability access room and they dont have these room types. She was very apologetic that no one had called in the previous 6 months and advised to speak to reception when checking out to receive a partial refund as only part of our group were able to stay there. I booked a disabilty access room at another venue at additional cost with the inconvenience of driving between locations whenever we went out. On departure 29.1.24) i was treated with absolute contempt and rudeness by a young tattoo'd female in a singlet top. The resort itself was pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely beautiful and impeccably cleaned rooms. Very reasonable prices. Request the lake view because some houses have a view and others don’t, for the same price. There aren’t any attractions in the area so that’s a downside if you don’t come for golfing. The grounds are nice enough to entertain you for a day or two with heaps of kangaroos and two parks for kids as well as a large pool.

Soon we will be expected to do the dishes at the end of the meal. I do though enjoy the ambiace of hidden valley.

Fantastic experience: I attended an event held here in June 2023. It was a well maintained, modern facility, a nice surrounding environment with open spaces and water, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea was typical sort of fare, but I noticed the sandwiches were made with very fresh bread and ingredients, and the little cheesecake I had was exceptionally enjoyable, especially given the sheet format. I didn't pay for the services that day, but as a guest, I would definitely start here if I wanted a venue for a similar function.

Fantastic experience: Very good maintenance on the fairways and greens. The course is challenging full of bunkers and islands. Layout is tricky too. There are two island Par 3s. The clubhouse is quite luxurious with a good cafe. We had a wonderful lunch after our game. Definitely will return for another wonderful golfing experience!

Positive experience: It was ok. Not the worse. The room was ok 3/5. Make sure to check all pillows sheets couches etc.. as their were alot of spiders etc.. when we did. Restaurant 2/5 opens 1130 closes 2100 no breakfast options, food was 3/5 and over priced including drinks. Pool 2/5 opens 0900 closes 1900 I think but you need to always get an access card which is annoying compared to other hotels/resorts we've been to which we are always given an access card. Also pool is heated and you can smell the chlorine as soon as walk in(too much). Beware of rude members/golfers and very dull unmannerly staff beside the one lone older lady that was working at the restaurant/bar. Smile, you're in hospitality. They have a lot Kangaroos here mainly come out at night. Wasn't a problem just drive carefully especially at night. 2 playgrounds one very small on resort by restaurant no cover and the other about 200m from this one was a better with a bit of shade from trees. If you don't play golf don't bother here as they will make you feel unwelcome. We had relatives stay at the same resort during our stay also who felt the same also. They'll be posting their experience also.

Positive experience: Beautiful golf course in fantastic condition. However, I struggle to understand if they actually want golfers to play there. There's little to no signage to the course, they don't sell sandwiches for golfers to take on course, you can't buy beers to take out onto the course and the bar/food prices are astronomical. This place should be one of the premier golfing destinations for the Northern Melbourne district, far superior course to Mandaly but it lacks in the small details. I'll play here again but I'll bring my own beers and food next time.

Negative experience: Just be careful this place is so dangerous! We were group of people came to Hidden Valley to inspect some lands on sale. Of course we walked around to see everything. We don't play golf and we do not have knowledge about the golf land. 3 of their club members rudely came to shout to us "Get out of there...". My 70 years old mother suddenly felt heart uncomfort. If you want to play your golf and want us to walk away, you need to talk nicely not yelling people. Also the club should have sign everywhere to tell people do not enter the private Golf land. I went to the club to seek a solution, the reception only said "This is the only thing I can do to find out who they are and give them a word. " In this case we felt our safety is in danger as there was nobody around and 3 big man came to us to yell. The club couldn't do anything. I could call the police. Then the reception said "They didn't do anything. Golf land is private. " The problem was they didn't put any sign around there. Very bad experience and hopefully to help everybody avoid life threating.

Fantastic experience: My personal trainer Dee was very thorough in explaining all about the body scan. She then went through all the gym equipment and showed how to adjust them to suit me and how to use them. Dee made the experience an absolute pleasure. Very friendly. Highly recommend the Hidden Valley Resort.

Fantastic experience: A little oasis of greenery in a valley with a calming lake and open golf course. The rooms are well appointed and relatively new.

Fantastic experience: The Hidden Valley Resort is a pretty nice place. There is a large amount of accomodation that you can book. The nicest part however was the golf course. It is around a massive lake and is quite beautiful. It’s perfect for a walk. However, some of the golfers are very entitled and rude. We were yelled at multiple times even though we were allowed to enter the course. Be wary because some of them are entitled and racist. There are some other facilities like tennis courts.

Positive experience: Very scenic little course. Course layout from the tee box point of view is a little questionable. Highly recommend getting carts because there's a lot of walking back and forth to tee boxes around lakes when bridges should be in place and aren't. Fairways are pretty poorly maintained at the moment and in need of some love. Greens aren't very responsive either, tough to stop the ball dead even with a wedge or bunker shot. Relatively fast greens too. Some very scenic holes which is always nice to drive a ball down

Fantastic experience: This place is just beautiful!! It's so scenic - my brothers and I continuously made comments like "this is unreal" whilst playing on the best golf course we've ever played on! Not only was the golf sensational, they had great tennis courts, a bowling green and a bistro where the food was delicious. We stayed the night and the room was also 10/10. The views from the windows are stunning, there is every facility that you could possibly need including a proper kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, comfy beds and a decent sized living area. I'd 100% go back for a trip with friends or family and would recommend this place to anyone I know. My only regret is not staying an extra night! The staff were also extremely friendly. Thank you for an amazing weekend - Hidden Valley Resort! We'll definitely be back. :)

Negative experience: About 12 months ago 4 of us from the Pakenham/Koo Wee Rup areas visited your club , and along with golf enjoyed a lovely meal and great service on the day to boot, thus afterwards we raved about the experience to anyone who would listen. 12 months on we can only say what an absolute turnaround in our experience, poor customer service and a general lack of any awareness by staff would be a compliment. We ensured prior to our meal and golf that everything was known around a few challenges from the restaurant to the golf staff. Two of the meals were pretty average, and to get held up behind 3 bozos for the best part of 5.5 hours was in particular frustrating when it should have been avoided, especially if the pro shop (and Rory tries his best) had any awareness that there was in fact a cart sitting there that could have had us out there 15 minutes behind said bozos. The only positive I could mention was that Caitlyn from Grove did try her best to assist. I don't enjoy writing posts like this, but an attempt to discuss with the club via phone was pointless. As this is a yearly venture for us, it may unfortunately be a last time, which is a shame as you have a very nice golf course there, (mind you we repaired around 40 pitch marks over the 18 holes on Saturday, and it was pretty much only members playing club champs prior to us). Hopefully these comments will be reviewed in the right context by those that need to do so......

Fantastic experience: A fantastic swim school! My kids are 4 and 3 years old and have been to 3 swim schools. This is by the best one we have been too. My kids have gained so much confidence in the water and their skills have improved so much. And the teachers are lovely I wouldn't go anywhere else

Fantastic experience: Beautiful but tough golf course. Plenty of water to navigate around and over. Definitely recommend a cart to do your round, it's a really long walk. Easy to find, plenty of parking. One of the best courses in the northern suburbs.

Negative experience: I recently stayed for two nights as part of a holiday. While the accommodation is relatively new townhouses, there are some small things that became bigger issues than they should have. I’d just spent 3 nights at the five star Crown Towers in Southbank and this accommodation was more expensive than that so my hopes were high. It was fantastic to have a secure, roomy garage to drive into, and the living areas were well appointed. The kitchen and dining were fine and the lounge was only let down by the couch that was way too low, not ergonomic and difficult to get out of. It was nice to have a toilet on each floor too. However, the accommodation was sadly let down by the bedrooms. After sleeping on an amazing thick mattress with beautiful pillows at Crown, I was sadly disappointed to sit on the master bed and have it sink and feel like a sofa bed. I could hear and feel the springs creaking. It felt like a cheap mattress you’d take camping. Not only that, the master bed was below knee level and by the time you lay down you’d be so close to the floor you’d have to crawl to get out of bed. No TV was in the master or any bedroom. I therefore bailed and went to the second bedroom where the bed, although slightly higher, was equally disappointing in feeling cheap and nasty. The bed was wider than the side windows allowed for and the blinds on one curtain caught on the pillows and on their own hook. It was pleasing to have air conditioning in both bedrooms and the living area but I would expect this for the price. The main bathroom is more like two tiny en-suites, one being a shower and basin and the other having a toilet and basin. However, of the three bathroom areas in the unit, there was not one single towel rail so wet towels had to sit for days. Highly impractical and these little things should have been thought of. In addition, four units including this one are in the compendium as having laundries but the one in unit 1 had no facilities at all bar a trough and cupboard. A trough does not make a laundry! Lastly, being in Unit 1, and given you're opposite a busy restaurant and function centre, having people walking around was expected to some degree. However privacy was extremely difficult to obtain. The main upstairs window to the street looked straight into the bathroom, so once a light is turned on people outside can see you. The blind at the base of the stairs had to be kept down, but the worst of all was the two stairwell blinds on the upper floor that were only half down, yet the cords cut so short that nobody without a ladder could adjust them. Therefore, there was no privacy at all when leaving the second bedroom if an upstairs light was on. Walking to and from the bathroom had to be done with the blinds down or all lights off as many people are not dressed for the public when using the bathroom at night or early in the morning, nor should they be. Overall, this accommodation is mostly well appointed but I would not stay again due to the lack of investment in the bedding. For the price charged, the lack of decent beds, pillows and bedding is a deal-breaker, and when on holidays you should be able to wake up feeling refreshed instead of aching and irritable. The remaining problems could be easily fixed with a bit of foresight and attention to detail.
