Fantastic experience: Been going here for nearly 7 years and love this gym! Fantastic value for money. Heaps of equipment, airy, well-lit, well-maintained, safe, and an amazing team. You know they have a great customer service standard because every new joiner staff is awesome – having seen them each come and go. Would be good if the spray bottles and paper towels were more consistently replenished on time, for hygiene purposes. But hey, can't believe the free WiFi actually works!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. As a member who wakes up at 4:30 a.m. to get to the gym by 5 a.m.—the only time I can work out—it’s incredibly frustrating to arrive and find the gym hasn’t opened, which has happened multiple times. Very disappointing!

Positive experience: The gym Is great generally speaking, but for members who come at 5.00am, you never know if the gym will be open or not. Often you will end up waking up early for nothing.

Negative experience: I have been coming to this gym a few months now and I just saw a 4 payments charge out of my account. It makes no sense as they've been deducting my card every fortnight. I am calling them and they are not answering their phone, left a VM and still nothing. I'm so upset! I have to travel there in person to sort this crap! I'm going to cancel my membership to be honest. Customer service is non existent. It's so bad! I had to call the Sydney office since Highpoint isn't answering their damn phone and was told that this payment is another membership fees. I don't have a contract with them, I go month by month so why are they charging me membership fees every 3 months they said. It's a waste of money! Stay away from these people! They are thieves! They just want to make money, it's all they care about.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a fantastic experience at Crunch Maribyrnong gym! The facilities are top-notch, and the atmosphere is really motivating. I want to give a special shoutout to Danielle for her amazing customer service. She was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to help me with any questions I had. Her positive attitude made my visit even better. If you're looking for a great gym with excellent staff, I highly recommend Crunch Maribyrnong!

Fantastic experience: Recently visited Crunch after months of seeing it from the outside and was really impressed by the variety and quality of equipment across the gym. Plus there's heaps of cardio equiment so you're not waiting and a lot of recovery machines too. Dani, the manager, gave me a full tour, was very patient and made the experience a lot of fun. Great gym and people!

She provided a clear and detailed explanation, despite my limited English, and even left me with a great offer and notes. Her smile and excellent customer service made the experience fantastic. Negative experience: They didn't give me full information on how their payment system work even when I ASKED. And after 2 days of membership they tried debiting from my account with the late payment fee. And the LADY MANAGER reckons they train their staff with all the info needed for a member which wasn't true at all. I don't recommend at all

Negative experience: This gym is great until you want to cancel. Zach Redwood is an incompetent membership manager as is the rest of the team who has failed to act upon my request to cancel for 9 months and do not understand the consumer affairs law which states: Cancellation by the consumer: Written notice Consumers should be able to cancel their memberships by written notice to the health and fitness centre. A number of contracts reviewed by CAV stated that the contract could only be terminated upon the completion of a specific cancellation form provided by the centre. Some contracts even required that members made appointments to complete the particular cancellation form in person. For example: Any cancellation must be notified on the required form supplied by us. You can terminate your monthly deduction at any time, with a minimum notice of 30 days, by completing in person, by appointment, the X cancellation notice … CAV considers that requirements to fill in specific forms and/or complete certain procedures to cancel a contract constitute unnecessary formalities and are unfair. Cancellation forms may be provided for consumers, but their use should be optional. Cancellation within the minimum term: Contracts reviewed by CAV tended not to allow consumers to terminate their membership agreements within the minimum term. Where it was permitted, consumers were often required to pay out the entire contract. For example: Any obligation to a minimum agreement period must be honoured in full… Memberships may only be cancelled after the minimum agreement period. Where a minimum term membership has been entered into, cancellation can only occur after the minimum term has expired or the minimum term payment has been paid out in full. CAV considers that a requirement for consumers to pay out the entire contract – in other words, make all payments until the minimum term expires – is likely to be unfair. The fee charged upon a consumer’s voluntary cancellation should be a genuine preestimate of the service provider’s costs. Even a fee of 50% of the balance owed under a contract has been held not to be a genuine preestimate of a fitness centre’s loss arising from early cancellation (Langley and Matrix (No.1) case paragraph 6). So now we are at the point of going to vcat as consumer affairs advice beyond submitting a formal complaint is fairly toothless. Fun times.

Negative experience: Would not recommend! I have been a long standing member with Crunch Highpoint since the day it opened along with many other of my friends and we have been lied to and scammed! Staff would offer us specials to keep our loyalty with the gym and never fulfil their promises. My friends and I are have been scammed into paying for extra bonus months of membership however never received them and continually receive phone calls from Crunch head office asking us to pay more! It is ridiculous and I warn everyone to stay clear if you don’t want to fall victim to this!

Negative experience: TOTAL SCAM!! Offered a 15 month membership originally and now at 12 months they have ended my membership! Myself and multiple others told the same lie and our money stolen from us!! Horrible place

Fantastic experience: I've just joined Crunch Gym at Highpoint, and Dani did an amazing job introducing us to all the equipment and giving us a tour. The gym is well-equipped with a wide variety of machines and plenty of space to move around. I can’t wait to start my workout!

Negative experience: Instead of putting signs up everywhere in the gym saying that there will be a "towel blitz" in the coming days and you will be checked to see if you have a towel, perhaps fix the numerous broken machines, broken lockers in the bathrooms and the vending machine which is broken at least 3 times a week. Since the new gym manager has started, the priorities are completely out of whack. As I write this, the stretch area has a tear though the stretching mat...but make sure you bring a towel yeah.**update, you talk about hygiene is important...using a treadmill just before, and about to put my keys in the cupholder and there was a used toothpick....you guys are hypocrites ...it's disgusting ***further update, the drinks machine is still broken, 5 days and counting...who is the area manager? Is the manager of Crunch Highpoint EVER accountable?

Negative experience: Less equipments than attendees and people who work there are not many veru efficient. I loved crunch richmond but this one has been dissapointing. So many times i have seen people not using still occupying two to three equipments. Also not sufficient equipments of weight section for young people

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been members of crunch for three years now. All my family, brothers and sisters are also members at crunch . We are very satisfied when we go to the gym. There are lots of equipment for me to do weight training, and my wife goes to classes. yoga, Zumba. More specifically, I only pay one low fee, with a very cheap price for one year. At the same time, I can bring another person in. And recently because of work, I couldn't go to the gym. My wife used my card to go to the gym .The staff there refused to let my wife in because the membership card was in my name. Of course my wife was very angry and said she wouldn't come back again. Then the gym staff called me and explained why my wife couldn't enter the gym. I understand and sympathize with the staff working there, they just follow the correct procedure. And finally, the staff and I there reached an agreement to transfer my name to my wife. Thank you to the staff working at the gym for treating our family nicely . Our family will continue supporting crunch , and hopefully crunch give us a special deal when our membership due to renewal.

Fantastic experience: I have tried many gyms in Melbourne and this is the best one yet. The staff are so friendly and they have the best deals. A special thanks to Chris for all the explanations and advice he gave to my partner to help her with the sign-up process and recovery from her injury.

Negative experience: I have been a member of Crunch fitness Highpoint since November 2015 it’s been nine years. I’ve been coming to the gym regularly every week and never had a problem, today I walked into the gym and I tried to tap my card and it said I’m missing a payment, the guy at the reception said to me that you can’t train if you don’t pay and I said I’ll pay it after my training or tomorrow because I don’t have my card on me and he acted really rude towards me, and he insisted that i let you train if you have Apple Pay he acted like he own the gym .The other staff member let me in and said make sure you play next time and I said why you guys had to make such a big deal of it but he made me a bit upset and I said that to him that you should get more fitter and set good example for new people who join the Gym. I might have said something that made him upset but it was more like a friendly constructive criticism to reciprocate his behaviour and then i was 20 minutes into my training. He walked up to me and said you need to leave the gym now or I will get you kicked out because you have called me a fat idiot and I’m like bro I have never used those words. I only speak to people within the boundaries of inclusive vocabulary, he made up those derogatory words to kick me out of the club. And he said he had spoken to the manager and she told him that he can remove me from the club, he showed full display of unprofessionalism and I said okay I’ll go but let me change my clothes and I will leave but that where things took bad turn and he’s like no you have to leave now and he goes on saying I’m not gonna allow you to change your clothes and you can’t go in the changing room and I said to him how I’m gonna get my bag my keys if I don’t go to the changing room that is such a childish behaviour I said to him who treat people like that you’re not giving me a chance to change my clothes like I’m a criminal that is a very abusive behaviour but I do went inside the changing room to change my clothes and get my bag, and he proceeded to call Security on me, while I was changing my clothes at the back of changing room he walked on me when I was naked and he stood there watching me changing my clothes, I felt really violated changing my clothes in front of another man. Imagine if there was somebody up a different gender and that is very abusive and discriminatory behaviour and he said to me you need to leave right now then he brought the Security which was totally unnecessary. He could see that I’m changing my clothes and I’m gonna leave but obviously he wanted to make a scene and he did managed to create a drama and i spoken to security he said i was threatening other members and damaging stuff I tried to frame me as a thief, even the security guard was shocked the way he was treating me when I went outside and spoken to security guard and he’s like I’m sorry man and he said I did not knew who I was saving from you seem like a nice gentleman, I got a written and a verbal statement from security guard at 3:25 pm, and while i was walking out he said you don’t have any money so F off from the gym and luckily i have made 7 seconds video him stating that, where he is clearly verbally abusing me saying to me to F off from the gym in a matter of five minutes he committed two civil felonies which is enough for me to take him to court number 1 He tried to frame me as a thief and number 2 He walked it on me naked and watched me while I was changing my clothes and I felt really really violated in my culture and tradition You don’t watch another man changing clothes this incident had caused me depression and anxiety and I feel traumatised i can’t get over this issue it a very serious matter to me. On Monday, I would take legal advice from my law firm about my rights and I would urge Gym management to look at the video recording at 3:22 pm there you can see him yelling at me very loud at the door and all the other members watching him making a scene and i will taking this matter up with HR so we resolve the matter professionally.

Dani and the team are so genuine , welcoming and kind ! The facilities are new, modern and have every kind of equipment you could wish for. The hydro massage was incredible aswell. Was nervous to get back into the gym after a hiatus but now excited thanks to Dani and the team Can't wait to smash out my goals here , thanks Dani and crew

Fantastic experience: Best gym on the West Side of Melbourne. Can't recommend this place enough. Has all of the equipment you need and more with plenty of space. Whatever your goals are I found this gym has the immediate equipment for it. Never had to wait too long for anything and the staff and people are great making it a great training environment for everyone to accomplish their goals

Fantastic experience: Been coming to Crunch for over a year now and despite it being too full for my liking sometimes I have to say the vibes in this gym are nothing if not phenomenal; so much so that I had to switch gyms once due to my schedule and ended up coming back because I missed it so much. There’s a great variety of machines and different training spaces. The people are extremely friendly and very nice to everyone. The staff is the loveliest I’ve ever seen anywhere. They always greet the members and are up for a chat any time. Love the girls, specially Dani who’s very kind and fun. The guys are legends as well, they’re all always there if you need help or a spotter. 10/10 would recommend for anyone in the area looking for a gym where no one is gonna judge you ❤️‍

Negative experience: I have a complaint to make against the new manager, Danni. I have been a member of this Crunch for some time and this new management style is not what I would expect from Crunch. - Customer service: I have not been greeted or farewelled once by Danni (and I train frequently). The previous manager would greet all the time. She avoids all eye contact and once even appeared to be on her phone. I never see her smile or look approachable. I would have thought that part of being a manager was to create relationships with your clientele. Every other worker at this gym, greets and farewells each time and even makes friendly conversation. They are lovely and only positive things to say about the other staff. - The atmosphere in the gym is not what it once was and it ultimately comes down to management by someone who is clearly inexperienced in running a gym and you can tell by the passive body language. - As I said, this gym is not what it once was as a result of a new manager stepping in. I love this gym for location and friendliest staff, but seeing what Crunch is becoming with this new manager (who I already see negative reviews about already) I'm afraid I may not be wanting to train here for much longer.

Fantastic experience: Only been a Summit member for less than a week. Crunch Highpoint isn’t my home club, but Alycia is amazing! Although I came in late trying to navigate through the school rush traffic, I still managed to get a high quality class from her! I noticed that she uses scents to her advantage to bring you into the appropriate atmosphere which is even better! (Is it Sleep Assist from Dusk? It smells familiar from Mornington Peninsula Hotsprings). With that said, I have booked more classes with her! In regards to the gym, after having a class with Alycia, I was expecting to be greeted with a strong smell of sweat as soon as I entered the main floor, but the overall place was clean with little to no smell of body odour Great way to start my morning with a nice stretch (despite going through 45 minutes of traffic) I would travel an hour just to make it to Alycia’s class as the instructors in any Crunch branch are there to support you, not simply to run a class. I want to book more classes with Alycia in it, but unfortunately I will begin to be busy until April. Although I only had one class with her, I would love to be one of her regulars as soon as my schedule clears

Negative experience: The facilities are okay but the lady with the boss tag was absolutely mean about me when trying to provide feedback on carrying physical card. Would move in a heartbeat. Also, regardless what they say on their website, there are a lot of hidden fees.

Negative experience: One of the worst Gym ever ! EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MONEY HERE.. PAY 15$ TO PAUSE MEMBERSHIP PAY Even more to cancel Membership. Pay to even downgrade membership. Pay an annual fee twice a year and the worst part is there would be no notification that they will be charging you. Even after mentioning that my partner is under medical treatment and jobless they continued charging us , and refused to waive off even after submitting them medical records. And be noted we informed this already to the gym staff and everyone turned a blind eye, No reply to the mails whatsoever ! They dint even pause it even after raising the dispute, the only answer I got was to let it go and the charges will pile up, disgusting...

Fantastic experience: I randomly jumped on to read reviews about Crunch Highpoint and felt the need to write a review based on the unfair comments people have left. I’ve been a member for 2 years now and have never had an issue. Lots of equipment and space. Variety of people go and it has a great vibe. Music is great ( You can’t please everyone’s taste). Staff have overall been pleasant even though I haven’t interacted much with them. Bathrooms have always been clean. Best of all price, they offered me a heavily discounted yearly membership which was amazing. Disappointing many people leave nasty reviews

Negative experience: Clean, number of equipments is average, however once something broken I.e. hot water system took them nearly a week to get fixed. There were occasions when they open 20 minutes late but can't be bothered opening minutes before 5am…that sucks …staff are friendly though, with regards to membership policy, there are hidden charges so better watch out, freezing and canceling membership is at worst to be honest. Better opt to 24/7 gym.

Fantastic experience: This place pumped me up nicely! , both physically & mentally. I will always cherish memories as I did well with my work, which was critical as I was coming after a long COVID illness.

Positive experience: After researching and doing free visits to various gyms, I chose Crunch Highpoint. This was primarily due to the general vibe, it doesn’t seem to have the toxic energy that some gyms have. It’s refreshing to go to a gym where it is not full a stereotypical group of people which are native to this habitat. All are literally welcome and not judged. I purely joined the gym due to a rehab program to strengthen and improve injuries to my shoulder and knee. I was never self motivated to begin a program but I glad that I have continued to work consistently on my goals. I believe this is largely due to the culture at Crunch Highpoint. Like all places there are pros and cons but for the most part I think they’re doing okay. Just a few gripes, refill the paper towel please and figure out a way to stop having people hog the deadlift station for hours while physically not using it. But from a price perspective they’re smashing it. Thanks for providing an awesome gym to workout in.

Fantastic experience: Have been a member at this gym for 5+ years. Sounds like a lot of complaints have been around customer service and membership fee changes. I must say I don't interact with the customer service team very much but when I do, they have all been pleasant and attentive. I've had to suspend my membership for a short term before and that also went smoothly. The gym is big enough with enough variety of equipment that I can come in, put my music on, do what I need to do and get out. When there are equipment faults, they are usually repaired within a reasonable time. If you're looking for a gym where you can be left alone and left to your own devices then I can't recommend Crunch Fitness Highpoint enough.

Positive experience: Pros: Rates are very reasonable. Gym equipments are well maintained. Staff are friendly. Cons: Not the typical 24/7 hour gym, women’s toilet sometimes get a bit messy in the afternoon/evening.

Negative experience: Got kick out this gym for “sneaking someone in” asked for the security footage and staff refuses the gym is alright tho but the worker is really bad. Most worker is super friendly im not saying all of them but some of them. Manager shouldn’t be working there honestly as i said i got kick out for no reason and asked for the security footage and the manager + the worker refuses.

Negative experience: Terrible gym. Music from the 90s that is so loud you can't listen to your own podcasts. Staff that are transient, and really aren't interested in helping you. And it's not clean!

Negative experience: Spammed with junk mail for 6 years even though my house has a clearly marked sign on our mailbox saying no to junk mail. Will leave 10 slips a time. So wasteful and annoying. Please stop and be more respectful. Have been there a few times and was never impressed with equipment or classes either.

Negative experience: I froze my membership and was charged despite the freeze. Had to request for a refund as opposed to a credit. Had it resolved albeit atrocious customer service.

Negative experience: I paid in full my membership when I joined Crunch. I wasn’t aware that there’s time I can not come to gym. I needed to suspend my membership for few months due to overseas job opportunity. All I received back from your customer service is no more than 12 weeks. If that is the case, I should get the refund of the remaining. You can not take customers money and not giving us other option.

Negative experience: Poor amount of equipment that can be used by multiple people. For example.Not enough foam rollers ropes,,mats,Majority of lockers in the ladies locker rooms are broken. Never any hot water. Facilities are always unclean ( bathroom ) machines always have dust and dirt on them.

Positive experience: Good prices and work out space. Female toilets are always disgusting, especially today, Saturday 5th august evening.

Positive experience: Gym is okay. I give it a three because the classes arent really within my time schedule. The treadmill machines could be better as you can only adjust speeds from the main board vs additional buttons available at the handle bars. The classes aren't really to my taste. Negative experience: Terrible gym customer relations! They do not have any regard for customers as you can see from all the very dissatisfied customers. I also have a victim of this. After being a loyal customer for many years and asking to change my membership type. I was given incorrect advice and made to pay $137.00 in fees that I was assured I would not be charged! I have multiple unsuccessful attempts to meet a resolution with no avail. STAY CLEAR misleading contracts, no transparency! VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED CRUNCH!

For the past three months, I have been attempting to cancel my membership due to my overseas relocation, and I have tried to pay the termination fee over the phone as per your policy. Despite numerous attempts to contact your gym via phone calls and voicemails, not a single representative has answered or addressed my concerns. Your gym's deliberate inaction has left me with an unjustifiably hefty overdue balance, which I have not consented to. This clearly shows that your gym is intentionally profiting from my inability to cancel my membership. The entire situation is not only extremely unfair but also constitutes deceptive conduct. In the light of the above circumstances, I demand the immediate cancellation of my membership without any further charges and a full refund of the unwarranted charges incurred over the past three months. If these issues are not addressed promptly and satisfactorily, I will be left with no choice but to lodge a formal complaint with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) and pursue any other legal remedies available to me. Please understand that this matter has gone too far and your gym's lack of concern and assistance has left me in a position where I am forced to resort to such measures. I expect a timely and definitive response to this email, along with a resolution to this unacceptable situation.

Negative experience: A lot of equipment broken, toilets stinky, paper towels & disinfectant sprays becoming scarce and mostly unavailable, cold showers blamed on the flooding but they didn't have hot water before that. Management has given up on this place for sure.

Negative experience: The gym can't read a room. Everyone is trying to listen to there own music and crunch fitness have to blast there music on all there speakers. Working out is not enjoyable.

Negative experience: I have been going to Crunch for many years now but have recently noticed a sharp decline in service and professionalism. There is always one or the other machine that is not working and they don't seem to care! In one instance, I had to follow up at least a few times for a machine not working for over 3-4 weeks, it is still not working. Nobody has a proper response other that it's been reported. Nobody has a clue, Nobody cares. I don't think they even escalate. Was inclined towards a single star being generous with two. Seriously thinking to switch now.

Negative experience: Hi everyone I used to have a Membership in a church Gym At Highpoint. Anyway four months ago to ask me to leave for some reason Richard I believe that you’re being very racist to me That Act from the manager makes me depressed and anxious. So they are Supposed to refine my 300 -back. After For 4 months They still didn’t. I got a disability and I work hard for that money. Please anyone can help me please let me know Thanks

Negative experience: Pretty poor management resulting in floor staff being more occupied with ‘sales’ than actually managing the gym floor, which is a disorganised mess most of the time even when it’s not busy. Things everywhere, often difficult to find certain weights. I was a frequent member about 5 years ago before moving and rejoining recently, and the conditions were the same then as they are now. The fact that there’s almost as many 1 star reviews as there is 5 is pretty telling. There’s at least a decent variety of equipment so giving 2 stars instead of 1.

Fantastic experience: Decent gym, music could be better though

Fantastic experience: Been working out here for 2 years and it’s been great, has more than enough equipment in a big space. Only time I had to deal with customer service was when I signed on and no complaints there. Few things I thank can be improved. Toilets can be cleaner especially in the mornings, a bit of urban music won’t hurt , also the music is too loud even with headphones on and opening up earlier on weekends would be much appreciated especially for parents. Apart from that, I highly recommend it.

Negative experience: Sound system in the group class room is so poor. Not worth the classes times especially since the classes usually rely on music!

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym. Super, super comfortable here. If you just want to train and do your own thing without some massive meat heads screaming in the room then this is the gym for you

Negative experience: Garbage place and rude people lucky was a trial day! Dirty, and no one care! Never back again.

Negative experience: Went on the weekend to get a membership. Happy I saw the reviews and I didn’t. agree they are very rude and zero customer service. Most likely scam too as other people describing you. If I can give less than one star I would do. Plenty of gyms out there don’t waste you time guys wouldn’t recommend it.

Negative experience: Gym is very simple, most of the time there's one or two machine not working and they look like they don't care about it. Cheaper than other gyms so obviously they look how to get money from you however they can. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: Considered joining today… however, the gym smells, particularly the mens section (weights area), and the toilets were filthy dirty and stank. To make matters worse, the gym equipment was filthy dirty too.

Positive experience: Gym very big with good array of equipment – though some in need of maintenance. Only issue how busy it can get, regardless of hour. Also find it pretty cliquey. Was here early 2019, again late 2021. Both times able to cancel membership without effort, in person of course.
