Fantastic experience: Had a few sessions here now. Have all the equipment you would need, and then extra. Never short of cables, smith or a rack. Equipment is all well maintained and matrix branded. Manager is very friendly and social. Made the sign up process quick and easy.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. Attending has minimal barriers, therefore ...more gym sessions without the motivation humps to overcome or unnecessary brain drains to navigate. Fantastic experience: I started back at the gym when Goodlife Mount Lawley re-opened after its renovations. The staff are amazing and so helpful. They introduced me to my trainer. I had very specific requirements and they were able to match me perfectly. I am now well on my way to achieving my goals.

Negative experience: terrible gym the worst and unprofessional first they offered me 4 weeks for messages but Steve one of their consultants made me sign a live contract in which he bound me to them for 6 months without my knowledge gym which I do not recommend to anyone and be careful of Don't be fooled

Positive experience: The gym is good and well-equipped. I went a few times and was able to complete my entire workout with a variety of equipment. The first few times, I parked on the street because I hadn't noticed where the parking lot was, but the gym has its own parking lot right next to the entrance. The ground floor has the weightlifting equipment. During peak hours, this area gets the most crowded, and the equipment can be more in demand. The upper floor has a large area of artificial grass and some other equipment. It would be good if there were some mirrors up there. Overall, it’s a great gym for those nearby.

Negative experience: Firstly I’d like to say this review is not a reflection of the gym itself or the majority of the staff . My husband and I have enjoyed training at this gym and our PT Reese has been outstanding! Unfortunately there seems to be one individual that is letting this club down . I believe he’s the manager, Steven ! During our time at the club he has on multiple occasions been out rightly rude to my husband and I have witnessed the same treatment to other members. We are moving over seas in the coming weeks and my husband wanted to query the cost to cancel his membership only to be met with rudeness and being intentionally difficult. And we later found out that Steven had made accusations to other members of staff that we had no intention of paying the cancellation fee …. We have no idea how this accusation was even made as all we wanted was to know the fee so we can cancel , it’s like he took a disliking to my husband and made sure to make things difficult . When we signed up to the gym he told my husband to go back to plus fitness if he didn’t want to pay the increased membership fee in comparison ( the fee was never a problem) he couldn’t believe that the manager of a newly opened gym was so casually rude . Had it not been that we followed Reese back to Goodlife we would have walked out before signing up . I hope that this message reaches the correct lines of management at Goodlife because it’s such a shame that one individual is repeatedly tarnishing the reputation of this good club .

Negative experience: One of the worst gym chains around. Asked for cancellation, intentionally leaves the membership active so they could charge you. Tried multiple times (multiple visits and phone calls) to cancel membership. Took a good 2 month (weekly reminders and follow ups) after the initial cancellation to get the refund. Manager couldn’t care less about his customers. Disgraceful.

Fantastic experience: Signed up today with the fifo special and got amazing welcoming service from Chelsea and Heather. They took time to explain the membership in details, get me the best deal for my weird schedule and show me around. Lovely bug space with nice facilities for us ladies with self serve blow bar and all! Would recommend

Fantastic experience: 22 years at Goodlife and today was the first time I stepped foot in the Mt Lawley club. And all because of Louise Ullah and her fitness classes. I'd have to say it's one of the best size fitness rooms and music system. Bodyjam was pumping and the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back.

Negative experience: gym equipment is new, entire place improved a lot, but the service and reception desk is very poor, you have got impression being unwanted once the contract is signed

Negative experience: Let’s see if we get a response now.. I always like to celebrate and recommend places and services. Unf I can not recommend Goodlife Mount L. The gym itself gives you everything what you need. The downside is the staff.. Changed my membership by email after one of the staff members informed me that I could cancel anytime with my Blue membership, I did not double checked the agreement when I changed my membership since I requested the same membership as my friend how cancelled her membership without the notice period, also trusting the staff member to give me the correct information. When I cancelled my membership they tried to get me payed a Cancellation fee, apparently my membership was never changed even when I received the contact form what I submitted to change my membership. I informed them that I wanted to cancel asap, when I went to the gym to check if everything was sorted I was informed that their where no schedudeled payments coming up under my membership and that I was good to go. After this I received the first incorrect payment, after my phone call they informed me that I had a one month notice. Neither the 2 staff members I spoken to informed me about this. I joined the gym one 3 more weeks since I lost 1 week due I taught the membership was cancelled till I received the payment. I received an email and phone call to confirm my last pay date, this was 2 weeks ago and I they still did not stop the payment. I have send emails without reply, left phone calls without any follow up. Let’s see if the Goodlife team will give me some clarification now and my money back!

Negative experience: Disappointing they no longer have spin class

While we can confirm it won't return to Mount Lawley, we're always open to hearing your feedback and suggestions for other classes or activities you'd like to see at our gym. Negative experience: Look, it was a nice gym as far as location, parking, equipment and facilities. But as soon as you walk in the door the staff make you feel like you owe them something, it was incredibly uncomfortable, one staff member just really wouldn’t let up. I asked for a day pass/once off trial and I’m being pressed into talking about my fitness goals and memberships. I tried to say how I was just wanting to see for myself but I felt almost cornered into being assertive and hostile for them to get their hands out of my pocket. After my workout was over I thanked the staff member for their time and they then again started back up asking me “so what do you want to do then”, when I replied with “I’ll just assess what’s in the area, but I love the facilities here” I just got a slow blink from the staff who had in a second gone from animation- like positivity to very cold. I don’t feel comfortable coming back.

Positive experience: The remodel is amazing and definitely needed. A few things stop me from giving a better review though. Sanitiser stations appear to be empty at all times, bins overflowing. Air circulation and cooling in the free weight area is non-existent; fans are on very rarely and never for too long, making it a very unpleasant place to spend much time. Could also benefit from an open locker area in the main gym, so patrons don't have to carry stuff everywhere, but that's a minor inconvenience The gym itself is great, glad it's open again and happy to still use it as my local gym. Staff always polite and welcoming, good range and of equipment. Keep up the good work

Positive experience: Good gym except for the fact I can still hear the the worst gym playlist ever created over my noise cancelling headphones on full volume why even play music on the speakers when everyone has heaphones anyways? Turn it down please at least!! & whoever made the playlist should have those rights taken away from them, respectfully

Negative experience: Total rip off, Mount Lawley GoodLife has great sales people like Chloe who sell to customers without full disclosure. I have been charged $175, I've never used the gym and now they want cancellation fee. I wouldn't recommend Goodlife to anyone. Anytime Fitness is more transparent and ethical in my view.

Negative experience: I've been a member of Goodlife for 13 years. I cancelled my membership last week because this local club lost the sauna. It's 3 mins drive from mine and worth the extra money over other clubs, when the extra facilities exsist..

Negative experience: Do you like being called a whiny baby, do you like being bent over a barrel because you signed a contract? Then this is the place for you. If not, run as far away as you can from this place and the Karen that runs it. They closed the gym for months without warning and continued to bill us, they list no local number or email address so you can’t contact them. You have to speak to head office on Sydney and they can’t do anything unless you phone them 6 or more times. They also agreed to freeze the membership after about the 6th phone call, they still however debited the account randomly throughout the period. Then one day they just started taking the full amount again, which was how I found out the gym was open. Or at least “opening soon” it wasn’t actually open. If you somehow may to contact them directly to cancel, they will tell you to sod off, or pay several hundred dollars to cancel. Just find a gym with no lock in contract. You know it’s bad if they have to make you sign your life away just for a place to do some squats.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place for work out with peace of mind. Have big lockers to keep your stuff safe. Have to bring your own padlock. Lot of equipments to work out. 24/7 accessible. Plenty of parking lots including under over.

Negative experience: I called and cancelled my membership over the phone to find I’m still being charged 8 weeks later. They told me I never called to cancel and that I still have to give notice. Being ignored by the club manager to rectify and HR. Disgusting treatment towards long term customer /member.
Positive experience: Enjoyed trying pilates at newly refurbished Mount Lawley location. Same great program as other gyms however.... way too hot, no air con? No fans? Lights stay on instead of being turned off so the bright lights shine in your eyes while laying on reformer bed making it uncomfortable. It's a shame with the set-up of the beds due to shape of room so TV's can't always been seen which is not ideal. Lovely instructor conducting the class though. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Really hope you can fix the lights, air con n fans issue asap.
Negative experience: Direct communication surrounding reopening was non existent for my daughter who joined Plus Fitness after ML gym closed for renovations. To her surprise Plus Fitness had a much better atmosphere and much nicer staff so she did not want continue membership at Goodlife. Two days notice was given regarding opening date for Goodlife ML and of course started billing members immediately. I was lumped with paying $80 to exit membership and the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional using terms like “OH MY GOD” when I was trying to communicate my frustration. I recommend to everyone to not walk but RUN from joining Goodlife Mount Lawley and read the fine print very carefully surrounding other Goodlife gyms, they are not there for the member only for the $$$$.
Positive experience: The renovations are a bit disappointing, a lot of the equipment is the old equipment, lots of wasted space as well. Worst part is they ripped out the Sauna. Functions well enough as a gym, but without a Sauna it doesn't warrant the Goodlife membership premium. Sadly after over a decade with Goodlife I will be cancelling my membership. Also would like to mention, put a clock in the gym, the other Goodlife gyms have the time on the TV's and play music videos, Mt Lawley plays random sport and exercise videos and has no clocks anywhere. This may have been rectified, but last I went it was annoying having to keep checking my phone for the time.
Fantastic experience: Great gym lots of space for weight training, functionally training and classes. Great atmosphere especially now with the upgrade, all the Goodlife gyms need to look like this one especially the old ones!!

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, called to refund $55 as i had forgotten i had pre signed up for goodlife, signed up for plus fitness, never webt to the goodlife, never got the gym tag, no contact to state i was going to start being charged, was charged 55 dollars and refused to refund when called. Said best they could do was cancel my membership.

Fantastic experience: Really spacious and beautiful gym, the staffs are very friendly and receptive. I also would like to recommend the Personal Trainer Stefano, with such a great knowledge and passion in the fitness industry, his sessions are very tough and hard, and he is very attentive in making sure we are doing the right technique during the exercises. I am seeing amazing results and reaching all my fitness goals since I started training with him. If you are looking for a good PT, he is the one!
Negative experience: Went to goodlife Mount Lawley today as a goodlife member mainly in joondelup. Older lady in charge of class. As someone new to the class made me feel uncomfortable and not a friendly atmosphere....will not attend again....
Negative experience: I did not enjoy my experience at Goodlife Health Clubs Mount Lawley. While I was there I appreciated the experience of the gym itself, but when I attempted to cancel my membership due to a chronic health and pain conditions that worsened - I found it near impossible. I was stuck between being forced to attend a specialist doctor appointment just to get a medical certificate proving I was too unwell to exercise or having to pay the Goodlife cancellation fee. I provided a number of medical certificates from my GP which they deemed unsuitable and I was made to get more. I would not recommend attending this gym if you have ongoing health conditions or concerns as it is extremely difficult to get out of the contract. Thank you
Negative experience: I am very disgusted with the management of this Gym. I have many concerns however will focus on the most recent! The temporary female manager prior to closing for refurbishment promised me no end of times to reimburse the overpayment of over one year taken from my account (or at least call me and discuss), also to confirm if my membership cost per week will remain the same once gym reopens!! It has been all lip service, there has been no appropriate and reasonable communication to update loyal members. I can see the reputation of this club has taken a dive and only hope once the gym reopens there is a huge improvement in the competence and communication of Gym manager.
Negative experience: They have taken a payment from me that they shouldn't have. I've now sent email after email after email and haven't received a response. Also, about three times I've had people call to check how I'm going with the club and they've said they'll get someone to call me for my free PT session and no one has called me.

Negative experience: I signed up a year ago with my husband and only visited this gym for 10 times over the year. It just wasn’t up to my expectations. Every now and then I received a call from them to check how my experience has been and I just didn’t feel comfortable and didn’t want to hurt person’s feelings to say that I haven’t been happy with the facility. My hubby just notified me that gym has been closed a while ago and won’t reopen before the Christmas. I can’t see any correspondence to let me know about closing it, no text or a call asking how they could accommodate and my backup options. I just called to cancel and I get charged for the 30days although the gym is closed is absolutely ridiculous. Person who I spoke advised to check spam folder yeah this type of email should not go to spam folder…how about texting to all the members. I would potentially continue going once the place has been renovated but after this No thanks. I’ll move over to Revo. They are top notch and wayyy better! Hopefully the roof will get replaced too as those buckets on the floor are serious safety hazard!
Negative experience: As you will see, I was unabashedly disappointed in the treatment I had experienced subsequent to the temporary closure of Goodlife's Mount Lawley Club. The very same day that I actually reached out to corporate management with the details of my Google Review, I was contacted by a recently relocated Perth based manager who was tasked with overseeing the club's refurbishment. We had a very honest conversation and he promptly acknowledged that the organisation had dropped the 'medicine' ball so to speak. We agreed upon a solution that was acceptable to all. Moreover, I offered my services free of charge to assist with developing a set of performance measures, accompanied by a risk management strategy, that would enable both middle and upper management to be more proactive in its customer management relationships. Time will tell if the Goodlife chain will take me up on my offer. Goodlife Mount Lawley is scheduled to reopen no later than the 2024 New Year. Given the problems we are experiencing in our supply chains and the availability of trades people, it might be a tad optimistic. However, as before, time will tell.
Negative experience: I never leave reviews as I'm fully aware of how a reckless unjustified review can potentially affect a business. But I am absolutely disgusted with the way this gym has handled themselves. They provide a facility not upto goodlife standards . They have a health and safety officer walking around giving you grief for slipping off your shoes before you weigh yourself yet there staff take there shoes off on the squat rack with 80kg plus on it . To this day they have still not frozen my gym membership dispite my requests via multiple emails all of which have been clarified as correct thanks to the Subiaco goodlife admin. I have spoken to a Mount Lawley staff member on the phone who also assured me it would be frozen and still money continues to be taken for a gym that's not usable. They continue to take money and refuse to acknowledge emails and do anything at all to help there customers who are currently paying each week for a gym they cant use. Asking people to drive 20 minutes one way to another gym isn't ideal so you would think the least they could do is freeze your membership for you . There reputation in the local community has taken a massive hit and I hope they wake up to themselves and start treating people with the respect they deserve . No one is asking for special favours. Just stop stealing our money acknowledge emails and freeze memberships that can't be used because your gym is unusable and closed down for 5 months .
Negative experience: Compared to the other Goodlife branches, Mount Lawley was a letdown. The only thing this gym has going for it is it's front desk staff. Extremely helpful and friendly. That's where it ends. The machines are outdated and everything is so squished together that you struggle to find room to do anything. The floor was soaked from the ceiling dripping in multiple different places throughout the gym. The female locker room felt very dirty. Will not be returning to this branch.

Negative experience: I recently had an experience at Good Life Gym Mount Lawley, and unfortunately, it left me quite disappointed. Despite requesting to freeze my account until further notice, I found that they continued deducting money from my account without my consent. This lack of responsiveness and disregard for customer requests was quite frustrating. And the gym itself is in need of improvement. The equipment feels outdated and in need of maintenance. When comparing it to other Good Life gyms, I found Mount Lawley to be lacking in terms of facilities and overall experience. I hope the management takes note of these issues and works towards addressing them, as it would greatly enhance the gym's reputation. Overall, my experience at Good Life Gym Mount Lawley was unsatisfactory, and I believe there is room for significant improvement in terms of customer service and gym maintenance.
Fantastic experience: Hi Team…. I just want u to know that ….. U R amazing Bcs…. Everyone at Goodlife club is brilliant, including front desk team which never failed to smile, made eye contact with clients and offer assistance, up stairs: atmosphere is calm, friendly and safe, Personal Trainers (PT) are all focused on their client’s needs but also monitoring environment for safety….. However, I must say that Antony my PT changed my perspective on training and its impact on my wellbeing…. I am so greafull…. I would strongly recommend Goodlife Health Club to everyone who is struggling with: motivation to exercise, has health issues or battles with weight issues. For examle, my PT is in addition to encourage me to persist with training he also provides teaching and education on a healthy diet and tips on how to sustain this approach…. Negative experience: Terrible service at goodlife Inglewood had an issue with overdue debit on my account rang several times to close my account an pay remaining balance always was promised a call from management to sort it out which never happened ..
Negative experience: Dreadful. Signed up my housemate who has emphysema. Promised to call and set up initial assessment. Never did. He had signed up for one year, no renewal. Two years later, I happened to check - they were still taking his money, he had never had the initial assessment and never been contacted for it and never attended the gym (as a result.) I went in in person and made them aware of this - they were surly and curt with me, did not apologise for taking money for years for doing nothing whatsoever, but promised they would call my housemate within the next couple of days to work things out. Again, they never did. Complete mob of con artists. They need to be taken before the Fair Trading Commission and be shut down.

Negative experience: Literally hardly any machines here, I've been waiting 10mins between each of my excercises in my workout. I've been a member of goodlife for a decade, mount lawly is the WORST one I've been to.

Negative experience: Honestly don’t waste your time or money. Having finally been able to get out of my contact, safe to say the last year has been a massive waste. Hugely over crowded, espionage when restrictions where in place, the place was always packed. Dirty, changing rooms, bathrooms and showers. Nothing like doing a work out then not being able to shower due to them being filthy or only running cold. The physically existing but not existing pool, how long do repairs take? I have spoken to other members and they say it’s been like that for years. Just fill it in and utilise the space if you’re not going to fix it? Having gone for the top level membership, I never got spoken to about the quarterly coaching sessions, so when I finally did try to book them I got cancelled on, first time because the front desk never made the booking, second because they double booked… Finally trying to cancel, went through the ridiculous online system as you’re meant to. This then emails someone, who unfortunately for me was on annual leave, and a national company apparently don’t have email forwarding so my enquiry went unanswered while this person was on their holidays

Negative experience: Just cancelled. Sick of waiting for the pool to be fixed. Facilities particularly the toilets weren't very clean. Would also expect a bit of leeway with an unhappy customer in regards to a months notice too.
Fantastic experience: Perfect gym place with a lot of classes which made me sweaty and motivate to come to the gym. Customer services are great and everyone is friendly helpful and nice. I m not a gym lover but I love goodlife for all classes and private trainer and the kubofit app where you can exercise at home and see the class timetable. It allows you to bring your friend and in my case is my Fifo husband to go with you to do gym and classes for free on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays and I also can freeze my membership for weeks while I m traveling overseas. I have nothing to complain. It s well done and I m so lucky to find Goodlife and give it a try. So far I m more active and feeling great to do exercise often. Thanks and I ll always suggest my friends for the goodlife .

Fantastic experience: Love the group fitness classes at Goodlife Mount Lawley and highly recommend as working out as a group keeps you motivated. My week starts with Ali & Pump on Monday nights 6.30 pm it's a ripper and then Dan & RPM get the legs spinning Tuesdays 5.30 pm. Wednesday is deload and swim day before Kate's killer Pump 6 am Thursday. Friday 9.30 am RPM with Katie is a beauty as let's face it by the time Friday arvo comes around there is no chance of getting to the gym. Mon then completes the week with social Saturday 9 am Pump. Vibe is great, good chats and great peeps. Living the Good Life
Fantastic experience: The feel of the gym at Mount Lawley Goodlife is a homely feel. It's convenient and nice to have a gym you can go to for therapy. I've had positive experiences of a friendly greeting upon entry into reception and the other gym goers are courteous. The gym overall has a homely and clean feel and provides a comfy spot to train and seek solice. Saying this, everyone is respectful and friendly when interacting with other members. Fantastic experience: I love Goodlife and my membership gives me the flexibility to follow the classes I want around to different Goodlife locations for different time slots that suit me. My favorite gyms are Mount Lawley and Subiaco. The instructors are awesome at both of these gyms. Best gym chain in Australia.

Negative experience: Wow you people really know how rip someone off! Never usually leave a bad review, but this gym has by far the worst service I've ever encountered. Was not told that the yearly membership continues if you don't cancel yourself. Was under the impression it was fixed as that is what I was told when I signed up. Never answer the phone. Gym is not great. Try Snap or Terry Tyzack for gyms in Mount Lawley as they are much better.
Negative experience: hi, does anyone here have the same case as me? if what you do to solve it. so i am a membership at goodlife mt, lawley dam on april 13 i came with the intention of canceling my membership because i am pregnant and one of their staff which is manager at that time offered what if i just freeze it, so when i come back anytime i don't need to register again as before. and i asked what i should do if i freeze it and he said that it won't cost anything until you come back to the gym and i finally agreed, and 2 days ago i found out that apparently they keep taking money from my account since july and finally I went to have a face to face conversation, and the new manager said that he didn't know there might be a change in their management and others but that's definitely not my problem. and ended up with me receiving an email that they couldn't make a refund or other compensation, I feel this is a scam, and it's not fair they keep taking money from my account without me using the gym,

Negative experience: Unprofessional conduct from staff member Lauren. Humiliating customer by yelling at her in front of a full gym for something a gentle request would have sufficed and then she proceeded to body shame the poor customer. That is disgraceful behaviour and very condescending not professional at all.

Negative experience: I am a member of good life health clubs and usually attended the one in Subiaco, I decided to go to mount Lawley this week where I received horrible customer service from the front staff especially one in particular Lauren. Negative experience: Last week Wednesday at the Goodlife Mt lawley centre. While I was working out I’ve witnessed thee most baffling unprofessional experience by a staff member who goes by Lauren. The whole commotion that was caused by the employee was very distracting which was what caught my attention…. The employee came running upstairs and began going off and shouting in such a disrespectful manner to a member who was working out in the designated deadlift section. There were soo many other ways the staff member could’ve have handled the entire situation instead she choose to go about in such a disrespectful manner, embarrassing and humiliating the poor member but that was not quite the end of it …. After making a scene she turned around and under her breathe I heard her say “if you can’t lift the weights, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it” hearing such a negative thing can be disheartening to anyone trying to push and better themselves. The purpose of going to the gym is to improve on yourself and create sustainable health life mentally, emotionally and physically, overall make a better vision of yourself. They last thing you need is to feel bad or horrible. NOBODY should ever be criticised, bullied or body shamed by anyone not even a self entitled employee !! Of all my years years of working as a personal Trainer at gym or wellness centre I have never witnessed such horrific experience inflicted by a stuff to a member. The duty of wellness centre or gym employee is to conduct and provide a very positive experience to the member, so they can feel amazing about working on themselves and overall their journey to healthy lifestyle. My advice to Goodlife in particular MT LAWLEY definitely needs to reflect and really change their attitude, behaviour and customer service towards their members. They need to train their employees on good customer service, human decency and kindness ! #CancelLauren
Negative experience: Humiliation and body shaming by members of staff (Lauren)is appalling behaviour and reflects terribly on the business as a whole. Staff should not come into work if they’re having a bad day or at least be professional enough to understand how to manage they’re personal affairs and still be uphold their duties in a just manor. Scolding an adult loudly and yelling so much that it attracts the attention of a whole gym is demeaning and quite frankly uncouth. Speaking under the breath of your voice shows lack of training by goodlife on good customer service. Condescending manor of communication or apologies is completely disgusting. goodlife could really do something about training they’re staff, education on general manners in a professional setting. Negative experience: I am writing to complain about the poor customer service of this Goodlife centre in particular the customer service receptionist named LAUREN who works there and her unacceptable treatment towards members. I do not usually complain, but since I am a faithful member of Goodlife for a long time now, I would like to start by expressing how humiliated, upset, disappointed and mortified I am with your staff member Lauren and her actions, that left me in literal tears leaving your Mt. Lawley fitness centre today. My name is Ifrah Ali and I informing you of the extremely unprofessional behaviour I experienced at Goodlife Mt Lawley on Wednesday the 11th of august 2021 approximately around 12pm. I arrived at the fitness centre at 11:06am and my friend and I began to work out as usual. We decided to step out of our comfort zone and proceed to the designated deadlift area and work out. I began to do my deadlifts on the weightlifting platform provided, as my friend and I continue pushing each other increasing our weights each set…. I had no idea and wasn’t informed that I couldn’t drop my weight on the platform provided. Instead, Lauren proceeded to run upstairs to vilify me, shout at me and embarrass me like I was a child in front of everyone at the gym. Everyone who was working out at that point, stopped what they were doing because she was yelling and looked at my friend and I. She continued rambling on how the gym would get shut down because of me etc. Lauren then turned around after making a scene & under her breath she continued to criticize me saying “if I can’t lift the weight, maybe I shouldn’t be doing it”. Hearing this from a staff member literally broke me, my morale and my motivation. I attend the gym to be the best version of myself, to push/challenge myself every day and to create a healthier lifestyle for myself. Instead, your staff member Lauren should have politely notified me like a decent human being that even though there are weightlifting platforms provided we shouldn’t drop our weights during deadlifts. Furthermore, if that is the case/rule/protocol – make it a clear poster on the wall next to the designated area. I should NOT be criticized, and body shamed by the employees that work there! The gym has always been my safe place to come to but after today’s unfortunate experience I will never be returning to Goodlife Mt Lawley and would like to discuss my membership regarding this as soon as possible. After completing my workout, I proceeded downstairs to talk to thus employee. However, her attitude and lack of accountability really threw me off as she proceeded to deny everything and continued saying how she didn’t mean to come off like that etc. honestly a real-life self-entitled bully! I was really emotional since the whole situation was upsetting. I bursted out in tears and began to walk out of the gym and it was then and only then she decided to say “sorry”. Which didn’t even come off sincere. Your Goodlife purpose clearly states online that “we move people to achieve great things” or that “when you join Goodlife health clubs, you become a member of the Goodlife tribe/family” which was not the case here. You staff member Lauren broke my spirit, made me feel insecure and belittled me. Which was horrific and unfair. I am seriously expecting to be talking to someone in higher management about this. This experience is completely unprofessional and goes against your Goodlife purpose. #CancelLauren
Negative experience: Horrible experience! My best friend was treated unfairly and bullied by the staff member called Lauren. I cannot believe the unprofessional treatment and the body shaming at a gym. I will be taking this further up.
Negative experience: Oppressive lighting. The weights area wobbles in an unsettling way when you rack your weights. Most of the equipment is poorly maintained. Pool closed indefinitely. Sauna was closed for no reason when I was there. It reflects poorly on the gym when no one can be bothered to wipe down their equipment after they use it. There's a screen in the gym dedicated to advertising 3rd party products. Imagine paying to be a member at a gym and being sold ads. Ridiculous. They should put less money into their marketing and more money into providing value for their patrons and members. Go somewhere else - anywhere else. Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre is a 5 minute drive from here and is a much, much nicer experience (and much better value for money)

Negative experience: Poor experience from start to finish. Over charged me for weeks, took 3 calls over 3 weeks and physically going to see them about it to fix it. Rude staff response when i asked if the overcharges would be refunded. Charged random rates every week. The FIFO rate i was quoted did not apply in the 4 weeks cancellation. Changerooms dirty, pool was never in service. This place has a really bad culture. steer clear.
