Fantastic experience: The vibe here is friendly and welcoming, while also letting you do your own thing if you want. The classes are fantastic, in large part to the awesome instructors. I've met most of my close friends here and can't recommend it enough. The facilities are also really good, well maintained and new equipment is regularly introduced

Negative experience: Worst gym to ever sign up too, unless u want to be paying for life... It's is incredibly hard to cancel membership they make you jump through loops, and still keep taking money... It's basically a scam

Negative experience: I want to make a complaint, how hard is it for a cancellation form to be emailed. Sign on no probs....still waiting for my email after 2 calls, I've been a member for over 3 years never missed a payment, until my bank had a hiccup with their direct debit system, still I have to pay, 3 weeks later. So much for 30 days notice, just keep pushing it out to get peoples money. This is low. No staff around to make sure people do the right thing. Just leave your sweat for another person to clean. Cleaning staff are there and have to move so they can clean the floor with a dirty mop. Yep still paying...

Negative experience: Despite cancelling my membership you continue to withdraw money from my account well past the 4 week notice period. Called and pretended to lose my papwork. Dodgy! Stay clear. Much nicer and cleaner gyms around.

Negative experience: Sign on team are thieves and will lie your face for a quick buck, leaving management to deal with the aftermath.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've been to. Heaps of members, but there is so much equipment here, you've always got something to lift! The members are great as well. Everyone keen to say hi and acknowledge the work people are putting in. Haven't run in to a single flog. And good to see the PTs on the floor working out themselves, followed by the effort they put in with their clients. I'll always have Shazam loaded up on the phone too. Some awesome tracks get played over the speakers!

Fantastic experience: WGI is the biggest and best in the west for all the reasons; equipment, classes, personable, family and friendships. I relish learning about all the new kids on the block and fantastic achievements that are made via social media funnies and just love all the staff on reception who never fail to greet you and wish you well for your training. Now that’s pretty spesh. #wgifitfam ♾

They also serve delectable drinks and tasty snacks sourced from local establishments. It truly fosters a warm community atmosphere all around.

Fantastic experience: I usually get to the gym most mornings at 5.02am for the 5am class. I am always greeted with a happy smile and a "hey Sid" or a "morning big dog" or my personal favourite "class starts at 5". This really makes the start of my day. The workouts for the mornings are usually already prepared well before me being there, and are very neatly typed on a large monitor at the front of the class. All classes usually have great demonstrations of the workouts for the day and are made or can be altered for every level of fitness or mobility. The friendly trainers Ben/Darcy and the class push you to do your best every session. Great place for your fitness journey. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a regular at both Ipswich and Springfield World’s for what feels like a lifetime now and have never felt more comfortable in a gym. Reception are always incredibly friendly and helpful, the equipment is top notch and always being upgraded, and the atmosphere is just on another level. The people both working and training there are such an inspiration. It’s the only gym I’ve never immediately felt intimidated or overwhelmed in, but more like I’m part of this big family all just getting in there to do their thing. I might go in there struggling some days, but I always leave feeling so much better.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to World Gym in Ipswich for a few years now and it is easily the best gym I have been apart of, the team are fantastic creating a fun and comfortable environment especially when doing the classes including the Saturday HIITFAM class which is free to the public to come along and see what it’s all about. The equipment is well maintained and upgraded as required. They have a crèche for the kids and you can get all your proteins, shakes, coffees etc at the cafe. There are a lot of long term gym junkies that keep coming back and having those familiar faces just shows that this is a great place to not only work out but catch up with fellow gym junkies. I am glad I made the switch and will never go anywhere else.

Negative experience: The gym is well equipped with state of the art equipment, but staff attitudes when cancelling and their overall business practices are disgraceful. When going to cancel after 4 years of membership, I was told that the only person who can process a membership cancellation is the manager between limited hours. Who are you kidding? I've worked on the desk at gyms for years and can tell you that is complete fluff. Just another dodge to try and make it even more difficult for someone to cancel. Good luck with rejuvenating your image, because it'll take more than trying to bribe people with free PT sessions to stay.

Positive experience: having to give 30 days notice after your membership runs out to cancel seems like a bit of a slack way to get another 4 payments out of you but was easy enough to cancel. lots of promotions to try and retain you is nice

Negative experience: FULL EDIT OF 5 STAR REVIEW TO A 1 STAR: Missed the last 2 or 3 payments of my 12 month contract( LAST TXT SAID $203 OWING), asked staff for some patience as I'd lost my job. Had another job very shortly after and let them know but they sent it to ARMA and they are trying to scam me of $1153.!! What a joke. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH THESE CROOKS EVER!!. BETTER OFF WITH ANYTIME OR SNAP FITNESS. What a sad joke. I'll be calling ARMA and sending them all relevant bank payments to show them that I didn't owe you anywhere near what you obviously told them. Good luck with that.

Fantastic experience: I have been so blessed to go to World Gym Ipswich the last two years and have loved every single visit. Best equipment, amazing staff and people. Honestly unreal! You will not be disappointed. Unfortunately my situation has changed so I’ve had to move on.

Positive experience: This is a good gym with nice equipment but we had valid reasons for leaving (my new job has an its own free gym and my partner now works FIFO). Would have given 5 stars except for the fact that you need to work on how you treat people when they decide to leave. As soon as I mentioned wanting to cancel, the mannerisms changed and I was told to sit down and wait for the manager. Not friendly, no smile. No “thanks for signing up with us and best of luck, thanks for spending nearly $3k here, I hope you decide to come back one day” etc. Just: “why do you wanna leave, righto sign here, hand in your tags and I’ll charge you for another month”. It’s bad business guys, burning your bridge with everyone who cancels. You’re just ensuring that they never come back. I genuinely enjoyed working out there, and thought the equipment and classes were great, but because of how I get treated when I want to cancel a membership: this has reinforced that I will never sign up to a gym again in my life.

Fantastic experience: The gym facilities are great, recently having new equipment installed and the floor reconfigured. The best part of World’s is the wonderful crèche and reception staff!

Negative experience: The gym equipment and shower facilities itself are nice and have a variety available to you but the billing side and contract side of this gym is bad. I signed a 12 Month contract for a $200 cancellation fee last year and when I have gone to cancel in now (After the date of my original sign up to avoid fee) they have changed it and said i signed at 18 month contract. on top of that, one of the employees i spoke to IN PERSON said it was still $200 to cancel but another on the phone says it’s $300!? Completely ridiculous. On top of that, they withdrew money from my account weekend as per agreed but JUST now they say i’ve got exceeded funds even though I have paid it and had it refunded to me? If it was the issue of insufficient funds, It withdraws weather money in in there or not. usually by the next day (Friday) I put money in because i notice the account is at negative money which evens it out and thats worked fine since the start of the member ship so why now is it causing an issue? I would unfortunately not recommend this gym if you are not ready for it’s run around in contracts and billing.

Fantastic experience: Worlds Ipswich is awesome. super friendly staff, great layout and equipment.

Negative experience: 4 years I went to this place and it’s a rip off for nothing unless you’re self-efficient with your own work out routine. Their cancellation fee policy is garbage and the support person couldn’t confirm I’d still be charged despite after initiating cancellation process, but I knew I was going to be, became that’s how greedy companies run. So those contracts are pointless to sign up for. There’s no loyalty and there’s no bother as at the early part of my sign up I was meant to get a personal trainer but didn’t get a follow up for months but couldn’t be bothered by the time they checked in again. These gyms aren’t everywhere either so if you’re a travelling person, I’d go with another gym. Anyway, $40 to go before they finally cancel my membership a month later.

Positive experience: Great facilities, lots of sales pressure. I empathise for the receptionists, as I believe management makes these decisions.

Negative experience: Nice place but pretty shady business practices. Just make sure you read the contract very closely before signing on the dotted line.

Negative experience: I sent an email to cancel my 18 month membership effective the date it was to end. I received a phone call stating that I need to give 30 days notice from the date the contract ends AND they can’t send me the CANCELLATION FORM until my contract ends. AND… I need to call on the day my contract ends to ask for the form to be emailed. They can’t send it any earlier because “it will cause confusion”. This way they get another 4 weeks payments from you. No wonder people get fed up with these types of businesses. This is so frustrating. I would not recommend World Gym Ipswich to anybody if was the last gym in Ipswich.
