Fantastic experience: Great gym that feels very inclusive and chill, feel good coming here as a trans non binary person. Even the gym bros are pretty chill. Shout out Deanna one of the PTs there, my experience has been amazing. Deanna has so much time and is always happy to have a chat and adjust your routine. Very person centred and holistic approach, really helpful around not just muscle gain but nutrition and the mentality around training. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to swimming lessons here for 3mths, since my baby was 5mths old. She absolutely loves her lessons with Issa and has made so many little friends. All the staff are lovely and the family change facilities are great.

Positive experience: I can't speak for the overall facility because i only use the gym. The gym is well equipped and has a good cross-section of people of different ages and cultures, which makes it no-threatening. If you are looking for a good personal trainer, ask for Deeana. She is genuinely interested in her clients and I have yet to hear a bad word about her.

Positive experience: Nice place to relax and chill out

Negative experience: It's a mixed bag, in every way. Service from staff varies between genuinely friendly and helpful and downright disdain to have bothered them. Facilities are in need of an uplift and seem to be maintained to the lowest possible degree. In the gym is where the biggest variance lies. You have top shelf staff like Matt, who greets people, walks the floor, cleans and maintains equipment and keeps everything in its place. Then there's Tom - who spends his time between the office and somewhere else outside the gym, doesn't greet anyone and has never walked the floor in my time in the gym. Then you have amazingly attentive lifeguards for the most part, but one young bloke who, if is working the same shift as another young female colleague, barely glances at the pool. Then there's the dangerous excuse for an evacuation drill which thankfully was only a drill. This place is just so very average it's almost remarkably average.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Don't assist on front desk and don't respond to emails. Swimming lessons are in disarray with instructors constantly changing or just not turning up. The attitude of the front of house staff is unprofessional. Disappointing as my child has been going to this centre for 5 years and has made lots of friends but the bad service and lack of accountability just make it not worth that hassle. Have already moved to another facility which has incredible instructors and great customer service. If you are looking for swimming lessons, don't waste your time.

Negative experience: Paid $8.10 for a swim. Only 1 lane was available to swim laps. 8 people in the lane. Pricing is more than ascot vale, northcote, essendon etc. yet the facilities are much worse.. How can you charge $8.10 when there’s 8 ppl swimming in 1 lane.. shame

Positive experience: What a pool! Never seen so many people in a pool before. Good for them. The sauna goers really know how to sauna, everyone was wearing sauna hat.

Fantastic experience: Took swimming lesson for the first time. Nancy was very encouraging and helped us grasp the basic techniques of swimming. The pool was orderly and clean, making it an excellent place for beginners to exercise. Individual shower stalls and change room were also well maintained.

Negative experience: Where to start! -Unclean/dilapidated facilities -Awful customer service -Overpriced contracts -Broken lockers -overcrowded pool lanes with no consistent signage -constantly broken down sauna/steam room (people get away with pouring water into the thermostats constantly) -Workmen using metal saws to fix things whilst you’re getting changed, letting sparks fly across the changing room (health and safety nightmare!) AVOID this place at all costs!

Positive experience: Facilities are in great condition and the gym is well provisioned and has a lot of space available. I originally joined to to lap swimming and I can just never ever get a lane. The lane availability is shown on the app but unless i go after 7pm i never have much luck. Theres always a class on, or an event that limits the available 6 lanes down to 2 or 3. I cannot consistently use this location as a place to train my swimming on a schedule and need to go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Just went to the counter to request to use the toilet and the lady said no and told me to use the toilet in the carpark. There are no toilets in the carpark. To think in 2024 a council owned space would turn down a member of the public’s request to use the toilet is just ridiculous . I’m sure she felt very proud of herself for providing wrong information about a non existent toilet . Pathetic .

Fantastic experience: Since the renovation, the pool is awesome. There is great pool for kids that is 600mm deep. Perfect for learning.

Positive experience: Swimming classes are allocated majority of the lines. It would be good to have at last three lines: fast, slow & one for kids with parents. Otherwise, it is really hard to swim in one line.

Negative experience: Coburg Leisure what a joke! 1st we have to wait over 1 week to get Spa fixed. Now Sauna is stand up only. No seats allowed to be used. Management were shown the problem with seat breaking but waited until totally broken. Now we all have to wait until after Xmas to get seats fixed. How about if we pay for 50% of our fees! Totally pissed off!

Negative experience: The management of the whole swimming pool is terrible. strange rules apply here, which apparently change when the lifeguards change their shifts. our son likes to go swimming, but you should set the same rules for customer service. one lifeguard will say this, the other will say that. They will also say to you that they are not here to look after the children or babysitting. Nobody asking them to babysitting my kid anyway. I thought that the lifeguard serves the customer, but apparently this is not the case in this swimming pool. one says that you have to be with your child in the small pool, another says you can not. Set up your rules and serve the customer. It's your job.

Negative experience: Evening times are worst at 6 pm when u plan to go after work , only 1 lane available for swim rest for students. It's very overcrowded

Fantastic experience: My kid does swimming lessons here and loves it. Teachers are great, and the kids pool is a good depth

Negative experience: Every time I go swimming there is a perv always watching, I told the life guards about it and they didn’t do anything about it. My sister takes her son here to do swimming lessons and apparently he’s been looking at the kids there too, it’s disgusting and the manager hasn’t done anything do fix it. Also when my sisters son got hurt because of their negligence, they didn’t even see if he was okay they just stood there looking.

Negative experience: Horrible management, admin won’t refund my money after an error they made in continuing to debit my account after cancelling swimming lessons for my kids. They have apparently lost my cancellation form even though they have a record in their system of the last day of swimming lessons. Very very disappointing I’ve never experienced anything like this with such poor communication and service. Let’s see how management respond to my email when they get out of their meeting. All I want is my money back from the error that they made.

Negative experience: Kids having their swimming lesson teachers and class level changed willy nilly without any warning. Incredibly rude management. Really disappointing.

Negative experience: I joined the centre to use the pool to recover from an injury. The pool is always very busy and a majority of lanes are often closed to host swimming classes, so I was usually unable to use the pool unless I visited at a very specific time. (6am during the week seemed to be the only time where I could get in). I explained this to the staff as the reason I wanted to cancel my membership and they still refused to waive the $150 cancellation fee. Very disappointed in the customer service here. It feels as though I am being penalised and charged $150 because of their inability to provide a service or be transparent about their facility’s usability.

Fantastic experience: Just letting you know, the phone number just asks for an extension number then hangs up.

Negative experience: Do not recommend, people go anywhere but here, read reviews before signing, not only are they thieves & liars but dirty, overpriced, & rude, gave cosmetics & jewellery items for front desk to have a browse, surprisingly never got them back, staff stole the items and recent corresponding back & forth with Sonya the poor and unprofessional manager whom is refusing to take responsibility, Council really needs to step-in here, shame on all of you, have taken this further, just appalling & any replies from this company is dishonest, beware people of this organisation, fyi evidence is in your cameras which you neglect to investigate. do the right thing by your customers and pay back.

Fantastic experience: Lovely centre! Occasional care available while you swim or workout (pre-book ahead of time). Friendly faces and a nice warm pool! Huge neighbourhood resource for the Coburg community :)

Positive experience: Great but beware of running afoul of the pool police for any number of minor or imagined infractions. Their vigilance in enforcing the rules would put the Stasi to shame - and in a Moreland City Council facility go figure..

Positive experience: Haven't been here for quite a while, so I was pleasantly surprised at how good the results of the refurbishment are. The facility is now top notch. Enjoyed my swim.

Fantastic experience: Down to business then. Steam, spa, sauna excellent. Cold showers, so what's the way forward? Mixer tap, luke warm, or members who are going to whinge? suggest this gets sorted out asap. Best that management informs members and staff about the flashing green lights near sauna, spa area so that they're knowing that the button must be pushed to get out of stand by mode. How to avoid wrist bands not being worn? Get reception to constantly and consistently bring to members attention the obvious, are you using sauna, spa etc? Yes/No. Here's yr wrist band. Yr life guards are taking heat for no reason. I love yr centre so I'm doing my best to support you all. Go Coburg.

Fantastic experience: As soon as you walk in the staff smile at you.The place has all the facilities you need.It also has child or day care service for parents who wish to get fitness while reliable people look after their kids.It is clean and would make you feel relaxed. It is very close to shopping centresand surrounds with other communal facilities. The parking area is huge.

Negative experience: Poor customer service, particularly the staff at aquatics! Unfortunately, the public pool accommodates mostly for swimmers- despite there being only a maximum of five people using the six lanes allocated for swimming- and a measly one-tenth of the pool has fifty people trying to enjoy what appears to be a poor excuse for a 'pool!'

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. I was liaising with the manager with a concern around summer suspension of swimming lessons which we were told upon enrolling would be automatic around the summer holidays. After the leisure center taking the funds out, I emailed the manager with my query explaining the miscommunication. She was extremely unhelpful not to mention I had to follow up for a reply. I only newly enrolled my son in December but seemingly customer satisfaction does not matter here and the manager was more than happy to cancel my membership instead of resolving the issue. Throughout this incredibly tough time that we are all experiencing during Covid its a shame that some organisations are not operating in a kind and helpful manner.

Positive experience: Toilets are absolutely filthy, you rarely see anyone using a towel on the gym equipment and your front end customer service so rude! But your biggest concern was me not having a mask on to walk ten steps from front door into the gym - had towel over mouth. Love the weights room staff, they couldn’t be more helpful❤️

Negative experience: Lifeguards here are always on a power trip. Next time I’ll pay for swimming lessons somewhere that I won’t get harassed for taking a narrowly framed photo of my child.

Negative experience: Poor staff communication and even worse customer communication. Hopefully the new booking portal will improve service as it’s been shocking the last few month.

Negative experience: No information/brochures out for people to find out costs and etc... Had to ask and it was printed and the girl had to write prices to use the facilities.

Positive experience: My family and I are using this facility for long years. They're in a very convenient location, all shops, banks and schools nearby. Heaps of 3 hours free parking nearby including special parking. Only drawback is, as it's a busy centre, sometimes change rooms and toilets get very dirty and it takes them long time to clean! Very frustrating!!

Positive experience: I like it there, my daughter goes to swimming classes there and the pools r clean and heated. It can get pretty hot in the summer though and humid! The canteen is overpriced and not many varieties. The swimming teachers are good but lots of turnovers in staff.

Negative experience: Went on a cold day. Supposed to be a heated pool and heated indoor complex. It was cold and I was shivering. Told them to have a look at the temperature. Nothing was done. Apparently they are having some renovations going on and can't control the temperature? I ended up falling sick the next day with a temperature, cough and cold. Renovations seems to be their priority, not the health and safety of the public!

Positive experience: base of pool quite sandy ? how and only 1 lane for swimmers marked as slow but no one was slow in it a little crowded for short periods

Positive experience: This place is too crowded even when the Covid limitation is in place. The staff does not pay attention to who is in the pool for more than 90 minutes. People should move out when their time is over but they don't. In general, the staff is very cooperating, cheerful and diligent and the facilities are good.

Positive experience: The pool itself is fine. They just upgraded the baby pool with a water bucket fountain. However the pissoir in the men's toilet was broken for weeks and generally you get the feeling that the showers etc are a bit dated.

Negative experience: Please, please, please invest some money in doing up the pool and change rooms. The pools have cracks in the concrete on the floor and the dirt collected under the benches is disgusting. The change rooms are absolutely horrendous. There is no privacy to be had anywhere, there is no where appropriate for parents to change babies- there is ONE change table in the ladies, and one in the mens. And don't even think of using the 'family rooms', they're just repulsive. Won't be returning once this term of swimming is over

Fantastic experience: I started training at The coburg leisure . Amazing centre amazing staff . Absolutely all Are dedicated .. I had a break to become a fitness instructor and eventually started back this year . I just love the way there are so many dedicated staff members and management that are still working for the community . .Tina sagulo is definitely a star manager , her interactions with the staff and members is on point always .Her caring ways and inspiring classes are something i will never forget.
