Bodyfit Glebe (Tramsheds)

Negative experience: Bodyfit won’t stop spamming you with emails and text messages. Beware if you join. No matter how many times you unsubscribe or ask them to stop contacting you, they won’t stop. I wish I never joined.

Negative experience: Gym stopped accepting payment and couldn't get access to the gym so I cancelled my membership. A few months later I got a call threatening to pass my debt to a debt collector if I did not pay $50 for the period I could not access the gym. Bathrooms were never properly cleaned and floors were always covered in water. No point in using the sauna if you can't properly shower after.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym and staff are great

Positive experience: Bianca’s yoga classes are outstanding! If I were only evaluating the yoga itself, I’d give a five-star rating. However, I wish the gym facilities were improved, particularly the cleanliness of it. I’m relieved that the pilates and yoga classes will soon be relocating from the gym floor. I just hope the new pilates studio is well-maintained! Since they require you to sign a contract, cleanliness is bare minimum you would expect.

Negative experience: Rip off. Bad facilities, PTs that hound you with phone calls. Non-responsive & not helpful when you actually need something. Don’t bother.

Negative experience: I had a recent major surgery and can no longer attend - team has been stupidly unhelpful when calling, and my emails are straight-up ignored. I had my account initially “suspended” (wouldn’t have to pay) when I first had the operation but they still charged me despite being told otherwise. I’ve sent over 3 medical certificates to prove my injury but this still didn’t seem to be enough for a medical cancelation. It took them almost 4 weeks to cancel my membership - meanwhile I was charged each of those weeks. I’m still awaiting a refund for weeks I was told my payments would be on hold… save your money and find a more honest establishment

Negative experience: I signed up my daughter to use the gym, after a week it was clear she didn’t want to use it. I tried to cancel the membership, but their great “sale” turned out to be a locked up contract for 6 months. Minus $500 and 6 months later I went to cancel it again, they agree, BUT there is a 30 days period… that I still need to pay for. Are you guys serious? Think twice about joining, as it may cost you at least $600. A company with more integrity would have acted in different way, as my daughter could go back next year when she is ready. Now she won’t go and hopefully many people will think twice before signing up for an amazing “new members sale”

Negative experience: Sadly, the showers are putrid, and the same salt (sweat) stains on the sauna walls have been increasing there for months. Manager just says yeh sure, staff say they'll let the manager know-staff are great. You'll need a spewbag if you ever smell the sauna at normal temps. Boogers on the shower tiles can last up to 3 weeks, and mould is growing on mould growing on some of the longer term boogers on the walls of the showers.

Negative experience: It was a good gym when its started. Over the years things went down the hill fast. Wobbly equipment, dirty showers and unbearable sauna smell. You can mention it to staff but nothing will change. If you postpone your membership keep in mind 5$ charge pw. and it will resume without any notice. Tried to argue but there's no point. No one ever calls you back or does anything about it. One star only because there's no zero stars.

Negative experience: Used to be a great gym (I trained here for 3yrs) until they brutally dismissed their 3 top trainers one of which was mine resulting in 3 years of hard work ending. The equipment sucks and the management are terrible. Do not join this dumb gym

Negative experience: They are friendly, attentive, all round great…until you need to cancel your membership. I recently had an accident and can no longer use the gym. I originally notified of the team of my intention to cancel the membership on the 12th Feb, was told someone would be in touch within 2 weeks. Followed up on the 1st of March, 4 further follow ups later, I still have not been told if my membership has been cancelled. They just ignore my email or simply ask for me to come into the gym, which is too difficult for me due to my injury. I get that gyms are notorious for not cancelling memberships, but it should not be acceptable.

Positive experience: Had a great 1 day trial at BodyFit this year with all the necessary equipment to help my back and neck issues from work. A trainer also came up to me to correct my form out of his own goodwill. As some constructive feedback, when they texted me with a great promotion - 10 weeks for $10, it was clarified on call that that meant $10 per week for 10 weeks and then in person that the deal was only valid on a 6 month contract where the remaining weeks were priced at $20 per week. The ad / phone call could’ve included this info in good faith as I felt that my time nor expectations were respected.

Negative experience: Worst gym i ever seen!!! Does guys just care about money, the PT’s sucks. Dont get scammed!

Negative experience: Do not join this gym! I had been a member for many years, They sacked my trainer without notice, just recently. I went to cancel my membership, they told me I had to give 4 weeks notice unless I contacted head office, which I did. Head office did not respond. I then cancelled my direct debit - after 4 weeks - and they are threatening to charge me a $10 fee and added an extra condition that I had to come into the gym in person to cancel, which was not mentioned before. The equipment is frequently broken and the gym is not cleaned properly. Still nothing from Head office. Disgraceful all round.

Negative experience: Bodyfit glebe is a pathetic excuse for a gym, the membership consultant, BRENT gives nutrition and fitness advice although he has no qualifications to do so. not to mention he’s extremely rude and aggressive. i’ve heard multiple instances of him bullying members and staff, I felt so uncomfortable in this gym and it’s so disheartening to hear that all the PTs have had their contracts terminated when they’re the reason this gym came close to being somewhat to ok. if i could give a minus reviews I would. DISGUSTING.

Negative experience: Very cramped space, equipment always broken. Additionally management are unprofessional and unprincipled, tried to organise my next session with my trainer however just found out they sacked all the contractor PT. I came to this gym because of the PT staff, so I absolutely will not return now. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: Bodyfit is the most run-down gym in the inner west. The equipment is always broken. The amenities are always disgusting. They continually up their membership fees without notice to members. BRENT, the membership consultant i have found is extremely rude and unprofessional and has no qualifications in regards to other reviews stating he is a fitness coach. As well as giving nutrional advice. I've heard him personally speak derogatory comments to female staff members, and this is highly unacceptable in any workplace. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Negative experience: The staffs are very kind and best. But the gym space is too narrow and short of machines compared to the number of people. Evenmore Bodyfit recently reduced the weekend opening hours from 5 to 4pm. This made gym more crowded during the opening hours. Closing 4pm is too early and allows very short times to people who exercise on weekend afternoon. Bodyfit should not only focus on increasing their members but also increasing facilities and services. Bodyfit could consider to operate the gym with unattended staffs after 4pm on weekend like Marrickville.

Positive experience: Good gym for the locals in the area. It is a little on the smaller side, but has most things you would need and also has a sauna.

Negative experience: Opening hours are a joke. They even don't care to inform clients about it on time. Choose any other more client respectful place.

Fantastic experience: I joined bodyfit a month or so ago and I have loved it. It’s a nice small gym with good amenities. Ava spoke to me on the phone and helped me with choosing a membership, whilst also joining during a period with a free trial, to ensure I absolutely wanted to join the gym. This was really great customer service and it really helped me to pick the best gym for me!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Bodyfit at the tramsheds since September last year and i was nervous as gyms weren't my thing. However i was super lucky to have Johnny as my trainer and he has been awesome throughout this gym journey of mine. I feel way more at ease and my transformation has been fantastic . I definitely would not have been able to do it without Johnny as my trainer.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars if I could. Unfairly fired all of the personal trainers without notice right before Christmas. My personal trainer was the sole reason I had a membership, since BF Glebe has absolutely nothing else going for it. Disgusting management and treatment of employees. Brent at the front desk has no boundaries about bringing his religion into the workplace, which is really bizarre at a gym. The equipment is worn out, broken, ripped padding, and there’s no gym etiquette to be seen among the members. It’s a tiny space and becomes even tinier when half the equipment doesn’t work. Do not recommend

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for a bit over 2 years now. It has all the equipment you could need for weight training and cardio and it's all new. The staff are all also friendly and happy to help out when needed. I can also highly recommend Matt (Mehrdad) as a PT who has helped me put on a bunch of size and strength, as well as fixing existing issues I had like back pain.
